dont worry check it early in the morning and im sure it will be updated...how many days does it say it has left when you track it?
ups delivers late around my area (sometimes even 9pm) so hold tight and keep your mind off of it! lol

it say's i have one business day left. i'm just used to ups dropping my stuff off a day early. if it's in my city a day early, they usually always deliver early. just got spoiled i guess.

East Syracuse, NY, United States 04/18/2011 4:33 P.M. Arrival Scan

This phone is MUCH faster than Vibrant, you won't need to flash it so often

My UPS guy doesn't come till 6-7. Too bad I can't pick it up.

Nate how many replacements did you get for the Vibrant before they decided to give you the G2x? They really are trying to play me! I'm tired of this MT4G and they keep sending me jacked up phones!

my original vibrant had a burn in the screen (defective) it took them 2 months of arguing and figuring out if it was my fault( and was concluded that samsung faxed a copy stating NO phone should have burn-in's within 3 months of use)
they sent me one that was all dented on the besil and the volume button was jammed (would not work)
they sent ANOTHER one that would reboot when ever i ended a call (freeze then reboot)
the last one they sent me works perfect..... my brother currently has that one
but the capped data for three months without going over 5GB was enough to piss me off and cancel my service several times... they lowered my bill to 120 for two unlimited lines.... after the first month
the second month i got a 120 credit for the 2 months of data (plus next months)
the third time they lowered my bill to 111.54 a month ( promised from manager of customer loyalty/retention)
and also a free phone per line.... i used my main line for the G2x
and if the SGS2 comes to tmobile i might get it for the second one... or see what comes out next spring
(these "free" phones are free.... to keep me as a customer! they would rather shell out 200 bucks for a phone than loose the 4 ears ive been a customer)
ALSO another note to show how long and how many times i called (daily)
i added up all the hours in my call log including hold time (and sometimes i waited 40 mins for a rep)
and it came to over 80 hours in little under three months
thats a full time job 2 week pay check.....
some tips to help it go faster
DONT BE RUDE
state your problem and only get mad when you know there jerking you around
DONT SWEAR!!!!
they hang up trust me lol
CALL MANY MANY MANY TIMES
so if you think about it...... i didnt get it for free as i wasted almost 80 hours of my life to calling them (sad i know but i dont start working again till may 12th so i get to collect unemployment all winter )

I'm gonna record my Leopard Gecko eating a Pinky Mouse

They got my xda!

Sitting on a bench in a park, phone next to me (I know, idiot), get up, walk away, turn back 5 mins later cause I notice I don't have the phone on me, it's gone... Kept calling my number for a couple of hours, no answer, then switched off, so called O2 to have it blocked. Hope whoever nicked it get run over by a truck while trying to figure out how to use it.
that sucks, I really should get round to writing that software I've been planning to make that enables you to totally lock the phone down in the event some ****cake nicks it.
(and I'm talking to the point of making it impossible for them to reflash the device, though, obviously not impossible for you)
I wish I'd insured it, now I'm looking at about £300 if I want to replace it!!!! Then again, never insured any phones, so maybe I've saved this much over the years. Still...
Are there any cheaper but good quality windows mobile devices worth considering?
If you're looking for something to put you on for now, then maybe a secondhand artemis?
Does most of what a polaris does, just a bit slower and less at one time. My Mrs is still using my old one which is now a couple of years old and it's still does the trick with the latest software. In fact the screen response is quicker than my orbit 2
might do that, or see if I can get a used orbit 2 for an ok price.
my upgrade is more than a year away, so will have to get something...
Or are there any Nokias that will sync well with outlook (full contact info incl company entries, notes, tasks etc)?

you'd definitely want to embellish the truth if you had; losing the device by leaving it on a park bench would likely be something they don't cover.
Do you have house insurance? (as in contents). If so check your policy to see if it covers mobile phones as many do.
Following on from olipro's post, are you sure you weren't pickpocketed?
well, either way, it's gone now.
won't bother with checking home insurance. Even if it is covered the increase in premium because of the claim will buy me a phone.

That depends.
I got drunk and fell over years ago, smashing the screen of my HTC wizard.
I claimed on house insurance and got sent a new phone. My next year's premium only went up by £20 for the whole year. The phone (at the time) was still selling for over £250.
Also - even before that when i had a Sony Ericsson P800 which I accidentally smashed, I claimed that on home insurance as well. Next year I changed insurance provider and ticked the box saying "claim for less than £300 in the last 2 years"... they still gave me insurance that was cheaper than my last provider.
That's exactly what insurance is for. They only care about raising your premium if your house gets burgled and tens of thousands worth of claim is due. I've never had problems with relatively small claims...
it may be worth a try.
Thanks for the info, didn't know that, I'll check my policy

You shoulda put something like MobileJustice on it.
It's a free app that once installed on your device will send an SMS back to a second handset telling you the GPS co-ordinates of the stolen/lost device.
It does this even if the sim is changed.
My mate had something like that mobile justice thing on his phone. The guy who stole his phone get a rude shock when my mate started call him every night a 3am asking him when he was going to get his phone back.. My mate did knwo where the guy lived because the gps co-ords got sent with teh SMS.. but my mate never when around.

verizon just got 80 tp2 in stock

Wow 80.. for the whole US of A! That's like 1.6 phones per state!
to late just bought all 80 Ill sell them to ya for umm double the price LOL
Rep I spoke to on Monday (quoting an e-mail he read from) said 420 units on Tuesday, 500 on Wednesday.
Just called and still OOS.

when i called in this morning @9:15 my sales rep said he didnt have any, so i started the prossess of buying a whitestone, half way through the process, he got a notification that 80 were available, and I bought one, so they did become available for a very short time this morning
At 10:00 my rep called and said there 24 available. I ordered 3. The web site now says they are out of stock.
I'm selling a brand new, never turned on, still in plastic Verizon HTC Touch Pro 2 with many extras (2 batteries, Ghost Armor, PDair case). PM me if you might be interested. It's a replacement phone since my first was defective. But I think i want to go with the Droid instead. So might as well sell now while there's none out there!
newb question, hopefully topic-related
so what's causing verizon's shortage/out of stock situation? is it a 6.5 update? or is it purely just a lack of sustainable inventory? im up for either the TP2 or Imagio...prefer the TP2, but if it's a lost cause, i need to move on
thanks,
nadz
Verizon never planned on this being a high volume phone and ordered quantities to reflect that and are ordering based on demand.
The main warehouse that ships them only had around 600 at launch if that gives you any idea.
ah ok, makes sense
thanks, im glad to hear that...glad it's not a run of bad phones or anything
just curious- where do you get such specific information? out of all the CSRs i've talked to, no one could land me anywhere near an answer like that.
thanks again,
-nadz
you guys will have to keep us posted on if you actually receive the phone or not. i will probably be extremely pissed if you do though honestly since i have had a pending order since 10/16 that has yet to be filled. i feel like they should fulfill existing orders before they sell more to everyone else. i was working with a rep that said she was going to help me out since she had just helped someone else secure one and i won't be very happy if she let me down. cause i stopped calling because she said she was going to take care of it for me. i think she comes in at 7am so i'll give her a call on my way to school to see what's going on. i had heard 10/29 was a rumored restock date (came along with the 10/15 rumor that turned out to be true) so maybe there was some truth in that too but 80? i'm sorry but for a company that large, 80 is a completely unacceptable amount. i'm almost tired of waiting but i don't really want the Droid and the Imagio is keyboardless.

[Q] Black Tie Program on Broken Inspire

Ok so heres my situation... I bought the inspire from best buy about 20 days ago on an upgrade, I decided to not get their black tie plan because I did not cause any physical damage to my old captivate so I thought I would be alright to pass on it this time. Until today that is... I had the phone in my back pocket and when I sat down I must have applied some extra pressure to the front and in result the screen in mostly shattered.
So I have decided to come to you guys in search for a few solutions. I noticed that you can add the black tie on up to 30 days from the purchase of your phone but I am doubting whether or not I could convince them to put it on my phone even though the phone is already broken but I was wondering if anyone here has ever had any luck getting this plan on after the damage had been done?
I would hate to think the best buy would really be so ignorant as to make me keep a phone with a shattered screen for the remaining 2 years that is on my contract (granted it is my fault it broke), I would like to think they would help someone in my position out to keep me happy and wanting to return back to their stores.
If there is no chance for this, then what would you guys recommend I do to get this fixed for as little cost as possible.
THANKS!
I just took a captivate that wouldn't turn on and they replaced it with an inspire. So I think they're pretty good about exchanging phones. Unless I just got lucky haha

With a phone that unquestionably has suffered physical damage, I don't think it's reasonable to expect them to go that far in wanting to keep their customers happy.
Unless this "black tie" thing pretty much effectively says "sure, throw your phone off a cliff, drive over it with a semi, we want you happy, so we'll keep giving you phones," then I wouldn't get your hopes up.
But like Matt said, you got nothin' to lose and everything to gain at this point...
You never know what they will do. In December I upgraded to an Aria for $0.01, I did get the black tie coverage. There was a slight issue with the earspeaker and I took it somewhere local so I wouldn't be without my phone for a matter of weeks. Needles to say, that was a mistake. The repair place screwed it up. I took it to best buy and long story short, after sending it off for repair 4 times they have me an Inspire.
I think it is a very good thing to get to know the ppl that work in mobile and not be one of those customers they hate to see come into the store. They all knew me by my first name.lol They have me my choice of phones and I chose the Inspire and have never looked back!
BB its usually quite eager to please the customer, they know if you are happy with their mobile dept. you may buy your next tv there also.

Well, there's a teeny tiny bit of difference between a bad ear speaker and a "mostly shattered" screen, but, who knows...
brick it ..... That is the only solution O.O. I remember while back best buy told me if I bought their protection plan, I could walk out side drive my car over my phone bring it back in and get a new one/ fixed, never tested it though.
Obviously don't buy the Black Tie plan and then immediately whip the phone out of your pocket.... If it was me, I'd take the receipt in and say that I decided to go with the black tie plan after all. Then I'd take it in the next day, or the day after that. It might still look suspicious, but not as.
I took the black tie protection for my laptop and TV. Laptop got its hdd replaced twice, without a question. He opened it, took the old one out, put in the new one, and gave the old one back to me.
In my opinion, its worth the trouble/hassle for 3 years.
Thanks for your help and suggestions guys, I will hopefully go up there tomorrow and basiclly beg thats what I get for not adding it on when I got the phone, just my luck. Btw, I wasnt trying to say that they owed it to anyone to replace it, I was just saying would be a kind gesture to someone, who messed up. All they would have to do is change the screen then sell it refurbished for about 50dollars less than a new one.
Also, why do they allow you to add the black tie within the first 30 days but your excluded if you have already broken it then your not allowed to have it anymore. Just my thoughts on it, please pardon my ramblings..
Thanks again for taking the time to respond though!

Well that's actually encouraging for the op, then. Unless of course they were exaggerating for purposes of selling the program.
I guess the only thing that would concern me is the amount of time the op takes between signing up for the program, and "cashing" in on it, so to speak.
I also don't know if they would require physical inspection of the phone when signing up, if done after the initial sale, when of course the brand new phone is there in front of them...
Just a quick update, I took it in today and they were very kind and helping and because I had the protection plan on my old phone they said they could add it back and and say that the person who sold me the new phone had forgotten to transfer the plan to the new phone.
They told me to wait 2-3 before I bring it back in for repairs because they are usually not allowed to do this to an already broken phone but the manager gave the approval.
Just thought that I would poke back so anyone in this situation in the future will have a bit of hope. And that this is another reason why I continue to get my phones at best buy... great customer service (most of the time) and a protection plan that is too good to pass up.

Congrats. Great news for you.
Try not to shatter the screen on the next one, will ya?
And thanks for posting back. It's always good to hear how these things play out.
Put it this way its like buying a car with out "protection" and just that one day after the 30 days you run into a wall.. Take the car back and say hey I would like to get the protection plan. 99.99% they will ask let me see the car. Just as in example. Its a business. But I have the Black tie and the buy back on my phone because just in case I do drop it its cover, I had it on my last phone they sent it out for a repair go it back in like a week brand new could not even tell. Rather then going through att paying 5$s on it if it get stolen and having to pay a delectable. Heck I even got water on my phone and it was covered. So its worth it to me. On the phones think about its your MOBILE phone you have it on you all the time rather it be in your pocket in case or in case on a belt clip you always have that chance of missing your pocket and your phone slips. and BOOM broken screen. And then your like AHH!! FML! lol

I dont know about rapidly, but they have always been good about replacing my damaged phones. I went through 2 captivates (both took a swim) and they replaced them both, but the process took over 2 weeks. And on my last captivate they let me switch to the Inspire since the Captivate was out of stock.
Here is my update, I took it in a few days after I got the plan added and the guy who helped was very nice. They said that they were doing to do a rapid exchange (still not quite sure what that means but I think it is something along the lines of receiving a refurbished phone) and that they would get my "new" phone in within the next few days which is better than the 27 days I waited to receive my Captivate from being fixed a while back.
What sucks is that I am using my miserably slow iphone 3g until I get the new phone in.
One last question, if I am on the best buy reward zone silver level, does the extended 45 day return policy apply to cell phones? And if so, would I be able to exchange the refurbished inspire for the infuse and pay the difference even though they would have technically given me a refurbished phone?
Thanks!

bought this phone at bestbuy today

So I was minding my own business talking to the best buy mobile guy that was helping me purchase this phone after getting a refund on my galaxy s6 that wasn't working out for me. Then this lady that also worked there comes up and is like "please tell me you aren't leaving the s6 for this thing". Has anyone ever been treated like that before? I found it so tacky.
It's not tacky it's there opinion. I honestly would think the same in my mind why switch from an S6 to something a year old.

I think it is more about the fact that you are "downgrading" since the phones rolling out now have better specs such as octa cores vs quad. However, if you are content with the phone, then I say forget what others think and enjoy it. If you go the full two standard years between phone upgrades, then you should have no worries. Worst case is that you may not see system updates to the latest versions of Android. Of course that is one of the reasons XDA exists...to get a custom of the latest .
Kinda rude in my opinion, What's right for her may not be right for you. I wouldn't put much thought into to be honest.

Yeah.. yet apps today can't even take a advantage of the extra cores lol... Worthless imo.
In my opinion the Samsung S6 sacrifices some S5 features such as sd card slot and removable battery (not to mention losing waterproof feature and usb3) even though camera is better. I would rather have the LG G3 because having sd slot and removable battery are important to me.
I will always pick LG over Samsung. She's just following the heard. But on the plus side she's an android user (+1). At least they did not try to sway you over to the dark side.
How long do you have to try it out? The G4 is suppose to be announced tomorrow (April 28th) and available on Wednesday the 29th. Of course it will have new phone prices vs the $0.01 you probably paid for the G3, but it might be worth considering.
I got this phone from meeting in person, excellent condition. Used it on Cricket network.
This is amazing 4k phone (my first 4k phone) I do hear LG G4 gonna be released soon but got phone for cheap price. I actually enjoyed it, I'm coming from Iphone 5s.

How long do you have to try it out? The G4 is suppose to be announced tomorrow (April 28th) and available on Wednesday the 29th. Of course it will have new phone prices vs the $0.01 you probably paid for the G3, but it might be worth considering.

Carriers in the US are not expected to sell the G4 until June.

Ah..Best Buy
Just want to add my $.02. I bought this phone today myself as a phone to tinker with since my Note 4 is locked down. I picked this up OFF contract at BB for only $399 and I think that's a steal. Walking into the store, I already knew what their website had it listed at, but to test the BB rep, I asked how much the phone was and he quoted me $700. I asked him to ring it up just to check and sure enough, it rang up $399. We can root and CM12.1 this phone but not the Samsungs! This is a fun phone to get my crack flashing addictions satisfied with! Enjoy our our LG G3. It's still a great piece of hardware.

I got my G3 from Best Buy for $.99 when I was updating the AT&T contract. They ended up shipping me a Gold Sprint G3 instead of the Blue AT&T G3 I ordered. Took the gold one to the local BB to swap it out, but they had me call their 1800 support line.
So I'm on the line with support in my truck in the BB parking lot, the girl almost has it done for me to be able to walk back into the store to return my phone and have mine shipped to me when the call was dropped....30 minutes wasted....
So I call back, get a different person...long story short, took 45 minutes on the 2nd call for them to send me an email that contained my return label. Went home, printed the label, went to UPS, and sent my phone back.
4 days later and my Blue AT&T G3 arrived. The day after that a 2nd Blue AT&T G3 arrived at my house. I got 2 Blue G3s for $.99 because Best Buy has a horrible return department and policies. I suppose the hour and 20 minutes between 2 customer service calls, 5 miles worth of gas, and 4 days of extra waiting is worth it for both a free G3 and a 99 cent G3.
Very nice...one to rom and another to....rom! Lol.

Sorry, but I simply cannot give kudos for your actions on this. No matter how terrible their returns department is, or what kind of "on the phone" experience you had with their rep, you are still not entitled to keep both of these devices. Man up, be honest and send one of them back and explain to them their mistake. It may not be a drop in the bucket to them, but it wold be loads of good karma for you my friend.
There are a LOT of ladies like that in this world unfortunately. Especially if they in the upper-level socioeconomic classes.
I believe that's why there are a lot more single men these days... they just don't want to put up with snooty broads.
I purchased my LG G3 D850 from a gentleman on Ebay. It was unusual in the fact that when he listed it, he put no photos of the phone in the listing.
He stated it was in "Pristine" condition and set the bidding on it for $320. I was intrigued, so I sent him a PM via Ebay. He responded quickly, plus it was
serendipitous in the fact that he resides in the same city I do! He told me that he had the phone for only six months and was moving on to something
different. He said it was not because of any issues with the phone... he just wanted to get a different phone. (An uber techie nerd type... he told me.)
I kept the listing in a "Watch" status and noticed an hour before the auction was to expire that only one other person had bid on it and it was at $325.
I waited until about a minute before the end and set my bid at $330, then clicked the "Submit" at 8 seconds prior to end. I WON IT! Woohoo!
The seller agreed to let me pickup the phone locally since he resided about 12 miles across town from where I live. I was very happy to see that the phone
was truly in pristine condition, it looked like it never came out of the box. All original contents and box too. He'd even put a tempered glass screen protector on it.
I felt I made a great purchase indeed.

If it had been just Best Buy I would have. But it wasn't. What makes me keep it was going through the worst AT&T contract upgrade ever. I was shipped the wrong phones 3 times, returned them all. I spent 8 to 10 hours a day for 5 days straight on the line with AT&T's reps, 60% of the time on hold (and the reps spoke in a horrible broken English because they're from India). Then AT&T changed my contract 3 different times, each to a plan that I specifically said that I didn't want. The first misorder, it was 3 G3's on the Next program....that was $400 some odd dollars out of the bank that I couldn't afford which caused 3 different checks for bills to bounce. Took 5 days to get that money back....
I still have two more misorders, three trips to the AT&T Store, another $150 taken from the bank, the Best Buy experience, and a bit of BS dealing with UPS to return the wrong G3. It really is a long story, but I'm keeping the phone due to all the hell I went through with AT&T.
As far as karma is concerned....three weeks ago lightning struck the power line between my house and the street. That only fried all my wall plugs, around 10 thousand in major appliances, my computer (which was uploading some Rin based LP stock kernel commits to github), and caused sparks and smoke to spew from anything connected to a cable line. Oh, and for kicks, hail damage, from the same lighting storm, caused my roof to leak.
Normally I would have returned it, but I spent over 40 hours on the line with AT&T, had money taken that caused bills to bounce, lost cable/internet for a week because I only had the funds to cover electricity or TV after AT&T took money the shouldn't have....Oh, and two months later I now pay $5 more a month and have 2gb less data per month because I just got tired of dealing with AT&T and figured that, after all I'd dealt with, the plan they ended up putting me on was good enough and in budget.
Did all of this mobile because my desktop and two laptops are fried and don't work.
I gave back an S6 and G4, going back to a g3(along with my 6+). They are not worth the extra cash.

**beware** samsung warranty on international device

So I'm f*cking PISSED at Samsung. Last month, my phone start having problems
look at the video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRXktwK6A9o
I called in to Samsung 1800 numbers, got an approval to get my phone fix, after I gave the rep my IMEI, she says it would take 2 weeks to fix and send back, thats fine. I received my phone today, and It still not FIX! I contact those idiots again and they tell me I have to call the Samsung office where the phone is bought (UAE) I'm f*cking pissed right now, those moron wasted my time and energy dealing with them! F*CK U SAMSUNG and F*CK YOUR DUMB EMPLOYEES. Now I have to shell out my own money because those idiots refuse to fix my phone for something as easy as replacing the screen! and this happen freakishly, I dint drop the phone, I dint go dive with the phone, it just one day out of the blue it happen.
2 weeks ago I went to Samsung Experience Store In London- Oxford Street with the broken screen. I ask them for replacing the screen but unfortunately it was not possible due to the spare screens OUT OF STOCK!!! I understand it is a black galaxy s7 edge so this could be the problem
So let's book appointment next week once they've got screens in stock? answer NO- no bookings. Can I order the screen so will be ready when I come next week? NO- no orders. So what can I do? Come next week and try- she said. Probably they will get screens but due to the security fuc... policy they're not able to confirm stock of the fuc.... screens!!!
Week later I'm back in the shop. Soo busy, a lot of employees running around and trying to make the shop looking busy hahaha.
So I have queued and after 30 minutes of waiting guy is asking me- do you have a number? yes! I thought mobile number- but no you must take a queue number from one of our employees (these are running like idiots everywhere). OK, so I took a number 6-no bad, the waiting board shows 12 minutes so I can wait. In the mean time I asked very good looking girl-employee: Is any way I can FULL backup this phone- like I was normally doing with all my previous phones (apple sorry)? WOW with all settings and messages-she asked? NO- She WAS surprised!!! What for? So just ignored her. She know better she is Samsung employee.
Wait. There was 3 guys serving but the time board just changed from 12 minutes to 59 minutes!!! and all 3 guys disappeared WTF?
These were engineers they take phone (order) and go downstairs to fix it. WTF- Samsung- this is no South Korea- this is still EU!!!
After 2 hours someone served me (he just got off the room with very nice looking girl and both looking like they were just jogging-can't say anything because I wasn't there . Unfortunately due to the OUT OF STOCK ****IN>>>G SCREENS it will take 5-7 working days to fix it. Nothing to say this is the most expensive screen in my live- £190.
I believe this can help some people make a decision between Samsung and others. RUN AWAY FROM SAMSUNG.
