Das bamf and drods 1.8 bfs kernel set at 1.45. Usually get around 15ish hours with moderate use.

Fyretech rom with imoseyon kernel 1.92 dialed down to 1.792, setcpu, atk. Today is the first day running this combo phone has been on since 7am, moderate use (phone calls, texts, games, internet and youtube,) its 10pm now and i have 39% left on battery. I would have had to charge my phone at least once today when it was new out of the box.
EDIT: using 3g, 4g not available yet in central Jersey.

I'm using the bamf v4.3a kernel with the stock rom. i'm also using setcpu set for the 'ondemand' governor and a profile that underclocks the cpu to 245/245mhz when the screen is off.

BAMF 1.4 sense remix, with adrenaline (spelling? 4.4.2 kernel, dark horse theme, auto rotate Rosie (Saweeeet!) Optimal setcpu settings. Ie: charging profile (245 mhz min- 1.0ghz max/smartass) with this setting I normally get almost 1% battery charge increase a minute. screen off profile (700's mghz-1ghz/on demand. Screen on profile (1.1ghz-1.3ish ghz/smartass. etc... I know some stuff I mentioned doesn't really pertain to battery life, but this set up is just sick! Also, I read somewhere that its a good idea to let ur battery die completely, then turn phone on without charging (you may have to just a bit to get it back on) And let die again. This supposedly tells the phone where the dead zone is on the battery accurately, so it can now get a full clean battery charge. Myth? Idk, but damnit my battery is sick now! Hope this helps.

Personally, I've been testing Imoseyon [ROM] Tesla Coil Version 1.5, with Imoseyon [Kernel] leanKernel: minimal kernel "battsaver" .92 version. I am running it on "On Damand" with charging and screen off profiles, mobile data NOT on auto sync, Tasker for wireless ON at Home and audio OFF at nite.
Really, this seemed to have doubled my battery life. I was having to charge before the end of the work day with moderate use and now have been able to use well into the night.
Hope to see even more Rom/kernel concoctions out there as I love to try any new suggestions.

With adrenalines (I still don't memorize the spelling! Lol) 4.4.2 kernel it deff charges waaay faster as stated. Setcpu charging profile to lowest mghz min to around 1ghz max on smartass. Not demand, n it will bounce around to proper mghz levels as needed to speed up charging process. Its sweet n like you, I'm open for more suggestions

Adryn's debloat ROM and his kernel, with extremely light usage I pulled 38 hours (my previous record was 36). I have been using my phone for the bare minimum, so this is why I got so high. No, this is not real world usage and yes, I hated it, but it works. My normal battery life is somewhere closer to ~18 hours, except on Tuesday's and Thursday's, when I have lecture classes, I usually pull 9-10 hours, because I play games and browse the internet for 2 and a half hours.

Using imoseyon kernel 1.4 extreme(InteractiveX governor) with Tesla Coil 1.5. I have an extended battery, and with moderate use my phone can easily make it through one day into the next before needing to be charged.

Screen off and plugged in.. ;-)

I think it would be best to post in your stats whether or not you have 4g enabled as there are large populations of each way and it makes a significant difference.

What's the most noticeable of using with the extended battery? Extra cost, bulk or weight? Thanks.

True...4g always enabled for me other then when I get no 4g signal and then 3g may go into effect. If no signal at all, then wireless when I am indoors.
I refuse to turn off 4g as that is why I got the phone and my coverage is pretty good for 4g...so, better battery life is a must for me

leankernel v .6 @ 1.41 on demand with das bamf 1.4 remix and i disable data when not using it and right now im at 56% battery at 32 hours with moderate use

I'm using imoseyons extreme kernel on interactivex governer on stock. I'm getting 14hrs %40 battery with moderate usage. I'm mostly on wifi all day with a little of 3g use.

Huge *NOTE!*
Go to settings, menu, wireless networks, mobile networks and uncheck the third box. No need to have mobile data always on for most peeps . You'll still have 4G n everything, but gain a good 1-2 maybe more hrs (depending on use, kernels, governor settings, and I/O scheduling. I personally am running BAMF 1.6.2 with adryns 4.4.7 kernel, no set CPU, using tool box for that at 245mhz min - 1.02max with ondemand governor and most importantly SIO Scheduler. Try these n you will have amazing performance and better battery life. Let me know you opinions

Post your Thunderbolt setup here!

Just thought I would start a thread like this considering it hasn't been done. A lot of people are having trouble with battery consumption and stability it seems. I've been having amazing luck with my current setup so I thought i would share.
DasBamf 1.5 Remix
Imoyeson Extra Lean 1.4 Kernel OC'd to 1.4
Governor set to interactiveX
Latest radio found in DasBamf 1.5 thread
With stock battery I have been getting 20 plus hours no problem so far. I downloaded battery calibration from the market and reset stats after installing new rom. Quadrant is in the 2300's, and the phone is extremely smooth. I will post a screenshot later on of how many hours I have been off charge for this run. These numbers are in a 4G area with occasional switches to 3g.
Mind if I ask, do you have autobrightness selected, or set to a specific value? Just wondering, as my setup is very similar to yours, and I use auto brightness - get about 18 hours of regular daily use, 24 hours light use.
Have heard some say setting brightness to a specific value rather than auto makes it last even longer.

I set it as lighting changes. If I'm home I have it at 25% which is more than enough. Out in the sun it gets switched to whatever works. Easy enough to change with a widget or simply using the pull down that comes with the ROM.
I am using DasBamf 1.6 Beta now. It seems smoother than DasBamf 1.5. Battery life on it looks great so far. I used to get 15 hours with DasBamf 1.5 with reg usage. Texts, internet, forums, calls and emails. I am using the default kernel with the rom and have it underclocked to 1ghz with setcpu. Penty of speed for me. IN addition, I am in a 4G area. NEver switched on me to 3G

SetCPU temperature

Hey guys, i 've been using setcpu for a while and the widget too. Usually, my phone's temperature is 30-35 C. My question is how much heat can this phone take? What us the optimal temperature? What is the Max temperature you have ever seen?

well desire s and desire hd got same cpu, and my dhd went unstable when it hit more than 55°C so i would use at least a temp > 50°C profile with taking speed down

I'm more cautious and limit the CPU to normal (stock) running speeds parameters when it hits 40°C and then lower the max further if it ever reaches 45°C.
I thought with the newest update of LBC's ROM you shouldn't be using SetCPU as it disables the new virtuous overclocking daemon? I'm running the Virtuous Unity ROM on my DS. IMHO, the battery life is great compared to Coredroid v1.2 with SetCPU. Not sure if it has any settings for temperature like SetCPU though..

You are quite correct, I only upgraded to the latest version of LBC v0.5.2 earlier this afternoon and as the install instructions recommended promptly un-installed setCPU.
Too early to tell anything...............
Hoping that next version of the virtuous O/C Daemon will incorporate temp and battery profile switching.
They're talking of using a GUI in the future for this feature, fingers crossed it'll have the extra settings! Once you've run LBC for a couple of days any chance you could post how you're battery life is getting on?

Yep, I read that and I'm hoping that they incorporate criteria like setCPU does, the phone is certainly more responsive from lock screen which is a great improvement.
I'll happily report back, but, it usually totally depends on how much use I give the phone during the day which varies massively, I also have a mugen high capacity battery 1800mAh high capacity battery.
If I don't touch the phone, it will loose just 10-20% over the day, even less if I'm at home and only have wifi on, where as other days I stream radio for an hour and use the internet XDA a lot and it looses 50-60% over the day.
I also use the great application tasker to automate the switching of my radios and don't have auto sync enabled. I simply sync first thing in the morning, at lunch and in the late afternoon.
If I notice any significant change from v0.5.1 I'll re-post.

I use Insert Coin 5.1.1, "Rom Cleaned" with LBE security. With heavy usage (2h music, 1h calls, 1h internet + screen) I can get minimum 14 hours. Same battery on GB stock rom 4h.
When I have fully charged battery on Friday afternoon, during the weekend (only have few phone calls, a little bit wifi) I plug it in at work on Monday with 15-20% left.
I have stock battery.

i have IC 5.1.4 and the battery life his horrible when im using my phone, but during school i underclock to 1.02ghz max turn power saver on and data off and itll last... also have stock battery with 1.5ghz kernel
With ARHD 6.5.1, Sebastian's kernel and 1900 mA anker battery I can do 3 days of light usage, 2 of mid ones and of course 1 of heavy.
ARHD works for about 1.5 days moderate use and 3.5 days on minimal use.
i've never liked a custom kernel, it always eats up my battery faster than stock (based from my experience) even undervolting doesn't make it last longer.

ARHD 6.5.1 battery life is very good.
I am now outlasting my partners iPhone 3GS with heavier use!
I can go a full day and still have 40-50% remaining.
Also there is no need to overclock. I use no frills cpu set to 192 min and 972 max. Very smooth and fast.

I don't understand how you guys are getting such excellent battery life on a Sense rom because I only get those numbers when I'm on Senseless. I guess I just have to try harder
Not sure.
All I can suggest is that you:
Make sure you are on correct radio/RIL
Super wipe
Reflash ROM
Use no-frills cpu and underclock to 972 max 192 min
Disable always on mobile data
Enjoy your phone
I have brightness set to auto. I have unlimited data so rarely use wifi.
Still on 100% from unplugging at 6:30 this morning.

I have very limited data allowance [it's 50MB PAYG for what it's worth, like 1.50 in GBP] and I don't go out much so I just use WiFi at school and home. Radio is on 3.32 although I'm not sure about my RIL. And also I always enjoy my phone. Always
EDIT: RIL is HTC-RIL 4.0.0013HMQ. I always use Kohr-ah's stuff so I'm pretty sure that this was included it the 3.32FW i got from the thread.

There you have it!
You have your CPU set to a minimum of 648 mhz so it will never go any slower than 648 mhz.
I have mine set to the lowest (192 mhz) so that when it's not needed the CPU can run as low as 192 mhz.

Well I already have a profile for screen off. 192-486MHz. Should I still lower it?
I hadn't seen a ROM on my phone that lasts more than 12 hours for moderate to heavy use. I wonder how everyone else is getting 1-2 days of battery life (happy for them, sad for me).
I don't install any other app apart from the stock ones available with the Rom, plus the XDA app. Can someone please share the secret?
Thanks!

Battery Drain

Sorry for making many thread, But I'm curious.
ANd need some help
How normal is this? ...
Idle: 216/216 Screen off
No Data No Wifi No GPS No bluetooth No sync
And I'm getting drain like this? What's happening?!?!
Or are the readings just wrong?
i was about to make a thread but saw this and thought id fill in it.
Well my g2x has been quite dissappointing lately..
When i first got it, the battery life wasnt that bad. Even had data/refresh and Auto brightness and it would last almost all day.
But the past couple of months its been unbearable. I would have to charge my phone at any oppurtunity, even at work. After 100% charge i would check 30min later and it would be already at 83%.
I'm on the latest CM7 nightly, and have also tried juice defender (no use)
Im contemplating on just doing a CLEAN install of the nightly but i dont want to start all over again because its a pain.
Any input? Or is it just the crappy battery?

It could be the battery. Your case is different from mine..
My battery is tested with Battery Monitor Widget, and it says my battery is about 1540mAh.
The thing I'm confused about is the battery drain.. It's quite high. 200mAh + at 216mhz
Try clean install, don't use any of those scripts (like V6 SuperCharger), those are wakelock city.
Now, go into spare parts and check your partial wakelocks and uninstall apps that have huge wakelocks, facebook is a battery hog.
clean install of cm7?
or clean wipe of phone back to factory then root/install cm7?
Clean install of the rom you're using.

I was having horrible battery drainage also. I replaced the usb cable and ac charger and it made a huge difference. Faux kernel also helped alot. I get a little over 8 hrs with moderate to heavy use.
EDIT: wait that wasn't even related to the op but the other scenario.

Yeah, I tried a clean install...
After clean install, the only app I installed was this. And boom high usage.
all wipe first and flash or agian.
Wipe user data, /system, and dalvik cache. PM me if you're unsure where they are.

I have the same issue on my G2x. I have replaced battery with a 1800mAH and a 3500mAH extended. But the drain is the same with every one of them.
Have tried FAUX's kernel with SetCPU and the recommended settings, but to no avail.
Did a clean install (wiped user/factory reset, dalvik, cache and did a format /system) of RG2x-MIUI v2.3.16 - SWIPE NOTIFICATIONS-Powered by Faux123 CM v0.4.8 yesterday.
Battery drains at the rate of 10% every hour when idle. Even with minimal usage (15mins call time, few txt, light browsing over 4G), the battery won't last more than 4-5hrs
One thing I am curious about, do you have to run a combination of kernel+ROM over a period of time to see if the battery performs any better or are the results instant?
Most people get better battery life on OTA based roms than CM7/AOSP. So MIUI may not provide enough juice for you, but try Bionix Reloaded and tell us the difference in battery.
Sent from my amazing LG G2x running Bionix Reloaded v1.4
I has Bionix Reloaded before yesterday. The battery life was about the same, but the main issue that I was facing with Bionix was the switch from data-Wifi. For some reason, data had precedence over WiFi.
I can give it one more shot. Maybe a clean install would rectify that issue. DO you recommend any kernel/tweaks/setCPU settings etc with Bionix or just use it as such?
For the meanwhile, I have turned off GPS and using SetCPU 816/389 inscreen and 389/389 Off to see if there is any improvement.
I really don't care about the fancy part as long as I get battery life.
I recommend Faux's undervolted kernel, make sure its the one for GB btw. As for SetCPU settings (I uses CPU Master), I keep it at 216-816 most of the time, only raising it if I need it (such as Facebook, browsing, heavy games). I have the governor set to Performance.
Also, I don't have a screen off profile (but did have it set before) at 216-503 with Powersave governor, and my battery lasts more now that I took off the profile. The Tegra 2 has HW governors that more efficiently save battery than SW ones do. Not all CPUs are like this, so we are in for a treat.

That's not my problem. O;
My problem is that When the battery is 100%, no matter what task I DO, it only drains -2...
But with the same setting, at 30% battery, my battery drains from -300 to -1000

CM 10 performance settings

I just got upgraded from CM 9 stable to CM 10 stable and I love it. Only problem is battery life. I feel about a 10-15% reduction with the new upgrade. I've had CM 10 for about 4 days now. I don't want to touch the performance settings without knowing what I'm doing. Is there a way to change my performance settings to extend the battery life? Also has anybody played with a different kernel with CM 10 stable? Thanks

Don't worry about changing the cpu and governor settings. There is an option to set at boot. Make sure that is disabled, so if you have any problems a reboot will go back to default settings. I use the conservative governor, and have my minimum cpu speed set to 192. I've read that that speed is not entirely stable for many people, but seems to be working fine for me. That has been pretty good for battery life for me. I believe the default governor is interactive now, and the minimum cpu speed is set to 384 by default.
Do you just "feel" a battery difference, or do you have any actual numbers to back up that assertion? Keep a close eye on Settings / Battery and use Better Battery Stats to record solid numbers and identify what's actually eating your battery.
Also turn off google now location settings if ur not using it. They are really hard on the battery.

It seems to be my screen that is responsible for eating up my battery. Have had the phone disconnected from the charger for 4 hours now and all I've done is 20 min with screen time doing a little bit of texting and facebook and my charge is at 75. I have the automatic brightness setting off and put my setting at pretty low.
The cell stand-by battery usage is 8% during these 4 hours. Should I maybe try another radio or is this normal? It lost signal for about 10 min today.
Just turned off google now and selected the conservative governor. Let's see if this makes a difference.
I used to be able to go all day with my phone with CM 9 and I even have the nexus battery.
Thank you for all your help
That's most definitely not normal, at least in my experience. Are you using the vanilla CM10 or some variant?
Some things to try:
Install Better Battery Stats (find the free version on XDA via a search) to see if any apps are causing wakelocks. This is a must.
Use CPU Spy or something similar to see if your phone is entering Deep Sleep. This is a must.
Turn off Google Now unless you actually use it
Turn off all unnecessary radios (WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS) unless you're actually using them
Turn off all auto-refresh settings in every app you have -- all social apps and weather are the biggies
For me, turning off the default auto-refresh in Facebook, Google+ and Twitter are massive savings alone, then Settings / Battery & BBS will help you locate the remainder of the headaches quite easily.
You might want to consider swapping kernels too, or at the very least reconsider your CPU governor and scheduler settings.
I would stay away from conservative governor you won't get much performance out of that, stick with what comes stock and use on demand.... even the default interactive sucks my battery down

Turned off google now location access and set the govern to on demand early this morning and it is performing a little better most def.
I have noticed that my phone lost signal 4 times during the day for periods varying 5-10 min. I am currently on the I727UCLF6 radio. I'm thinking maybe I should try another one. Could that help with that battery maybe?
I have been thinking about switching kernels but I am a little doubtful because I don't want to mess up my phone too much since I so heavily depend on it. I loved the hotcakez kernel that came with AOCP, maybe i'll give it a shot this weekend.
Thanks for all the help people! Def the best forum by far on the web.

Thanks for all the help people! Def the best forum by far on the web.

Just do a nandroid backup of the entire phone first before installing a new kernel and your risk drops to zero. If you install it and it all goes to hell, just boot back into recovery and restore your backup.
As for radio ... if you drop signal that often and your phone is constantly searching for one, I suppose that could impact the battery, sure. Are you certain you're in an area with solid coverage, though?

Yea I might have to play around with some kernels this weekend. Luckily it is a long weekend so I'll have some time if I mess up
My phone will go from 4 bars and a good signal at -78 dBM in my apartment and then randomly I'll lose signal for abut 5-10 minutes. A restart usually does the trick or I can just wait until it regains the signal which can be frustrating. I never had any problems with my signal at home running CM 10 so that leads me to think that there might be some problems with the radio.
Just want to confirm that these are the 5 radios I can use for AT&T even though I'm running JB.

I've been using a UCLI3 modem I found on XDA a couple of weeks ago, it has been incredibly stable and strong for me. But as many people far wiser than me have said elsewhere, everyone's mileage with radios varies and it really just takes some testing to see what works best for you.
so I should be able to run the 5 ICS radios I found eventho im running jb right?
thanks for your help
