I tried to root my Wifi xoom with 3g files and bricked it. I have the system file that I could probably reload onto it if I could remount it, but right now it's stuck on the "dual-core" screen. I can force it into fastboot by hold the volume down button but my computer still isn't recognizing it. Is there any solution?
Edit: Nevermind, successfully restored...

I rooted my Droid X using the D2 Method and installed Titanium Backup and Droid X Bootloader. I ran the bootloader to do a backup that way and now my phone is stuck in a boot loop. I have tried pulling the battery and holding down the power and volume up and camera buttons but all that got me was stuck at the M screen, What Do I Do??

Hey all
I was in the midst of an update via clockwork recovery (to get back to stock rom and lock the bootloader...warranty purposes to repair the power button that does not work...)
Well, I am now in a bootloop, and cannot get fastboot to work.
What is interesting is that though the power button doesn't work, I can still get into the bootloader screen, but my volume up/down buttons don't work (and they work a-okay usually) I can't even choose to boot into recovery...sigh.
In fastboot, it just get "wating for device"
Kind of stuck and now paranoid....
Need this beast resurrected...any help is appreciated!
Thanks gang!
I have literally the exact same problem, took it to a repair shop, but the guy tried to tell me my power button was working fine and that it was a software issue. Yeah but not really sure what we can do if our phones aren't even being recognised by fastboot etc.?
After playing around with it, I can execute adb commands during the bootloop, like adb reboot recovery (hoping that CWM was there) so I can just use the soft keys to navigate to a nandroid backup...but nope...it was the triangle exclamation mark. I really just want to fastboot CWM, but still, it's just waiting for device.\
Help?!
I also had the same Problem and yes its a Software problem taht comes with ics 4.0.3 update, well it was my luck that my power button started working on its own and i went in recovery mode and formatted all partitions and reinstalled 2.3.6 and beeen working fine now...
Well, I have sent it in under a warranty claim through Rogers here in Canada.
I expect a Christmas Miracle, I've been good! I promise!
It is definitely a software issue.
try installing a fresh cwm recovery image from adb if adb works
I have the exact same problem and adb isnt detecting a device. Am i screwed?
Great news. Samsung replaced my nexus. We are now good to go

Accidently updated my atrix 2 to 2.3.6. I then severely wanted root so I tried to flash back. I kept trying to install rsd lite but kept getting error 2738 when it was almost done installing. I googled for fastboot tools and found one on this forum. When i tried to flash an img, it apparently did not work even though I choose this fastboot tool because it said it was for atrix 2 and had atrix 2 img's with it. Now, my phone is stuck in fastboot mode and my computer can't recognize it.Any tips or help are greatly appreciated.
Did you take out the battery and see if it will reboot?

a lot of times, I did. Jim is doing his best to help me via pm but I have stumbled onto a small yet major issue. EDIT I have fixed this issue and found another. I have rsd lite working on my old, crappy laptop. However the usb port isn't giving my phone enough power to even turn on.It only turns on when charging through the wall.
Atrix 2 stuck in fastboot mode
I update my atrix 2 to 2.3.6. OTA when it was released. I then update my phone to Supercharged V5 update 2. I hated that my phone could not run most games other phones with similar specs can run. I decided to install the drivers for chainfire 3d, the phone then rebooted past the red moto logo onto a blank screen. Ever since that happened i've only been able to boot into fastboot mode. I tried using the modified .xml file, and replacing the boot.img, cdt, device_tree etc. I don't know what else to do, this happened yesterday. This is also a warning to be careful with chainfire3d after update to 2.3.6. I used it before on 2.3.5 and i had no problem with it.
Hello guys, well while i was trying to upgrade my moto G3 to marshmallow using a factory recovery image, i messed up with some lines of the commands but i didnt noticed it until when i did the "adb reboot" and there was not turning back.
The phone didn´t restarted properly and also i can´t access the download mode neither the recovery mode, i already tried holding the power and volume down keys for a while but nothing. when i do so i can only hear that windows recognizes that a device it's connected and also that is has been disconnectd when i keep pressing.
Screen won't power up for any reason, and also no charging indicator showing up.
¿Any suggestions? Thanks a lot for you help!
I have heard of a one_click_unbrick file which could unbrick your device..although i hv never used it and i have no idea that it will work or not but if you want to try, it requies java on your pc then you can google for this file and instructions to use it..if you do use it do tell me whether it worked or not...and before you try anything ,be sure that you hav really bricked your device. Hope this helps

AFAIK there is no unbrick tool for our G3rd yet, so don't mess with tools made for previous generations of Moto G. You better get it to RMA if you have warranty
