[Q] Help Phone stuck on a boot loop - General Questions and Answers

I rooted my Droid X using the D2 Method and installed Titanium Backup and Droid X Bootloader. I ran the bootloader to do a backup that way and now my phone is stuck in a boot loop. I have tried pulling the battery and holding down the power and volume up and camera buttons but all that got me was stuck at the M screen, What Do I Do??

ok somehow i have a screen that says okay to program connect usb cable, I dont however have the sd card in at the moment, i do have another sd card in an adapter if i need ti install some files. I am no good at programming at this level guess im getting a crash course huh

Ok after reading a lot of forum post i was able to fix the issue thanks to the people who have the same issue before me and thanks to the people who gave them advice from there I was able to Download the 2.2 sbf file and load it to my phone and from there i rooted it again installed Titanuim backup and everything was all back to normal

[Q] I probably just bricked my Droid X

Ok so here is the deal. I have had my Droid X rooting and I was running Liberty 1.5 for about a month or two now. I decided i wanted to try out fission. so i backed up the phone using clockwork, and proceeded the install process in clockwork, i wanted to reset the fone prior to doing so as well so i wiped data/restore to factory. that completed. i installed fission. that complete. i tried to boot the fone and i still had the liberty boot screen that replaced the motorola boot screen. then the words android came up on the screen and flashed for about an hour. i figured the install didnt work and i didnt feel like figuring out why exactly at that time. i pulled the battery rebooted into clockwork and restored the back up i had made prior to trying to install fission. now i get the Liberty boot screen that replaced the motorola boot logo and nothing else. I can no longer get into clockwork. I can enter the screen like clockwork by holding the power and home button, home button then hitting the search button. in there i have 4 options. i have tried to install update zip from sd and i had the liberty 1.5 rom zip file on the sd card but it fail. i assume i am doing something wrong there. If i could just get into clockwork i know i could fix it. I just dont know how to. so as a last resort before i order a new fone i am asking on here if anyone could help me i would GREATLY appreciated it. Im sorry for this message being so ling
never mind. I finally let the fone sit with the battery out long enough and when i put the battery in i managed to get the fone to bootloader and i sbf it. incase anyone else has this problem here are the files i used. thank you so much for reading this forum.

its a shame that companies like motorola go so far to prevent damage from happening to their phone via security hacking... and it only leads to destruction :/

[Q] HTC One S Terrible bootloop/soft brick on TrickDroid ,cant find solution

Ok guys, new to the forums but this problem has had me fully occupied for the last 6 hours and I feel like I have tried everything. I had cm9 alpha 12, and went to flash TrickDroid v5.0, something happened and I'm currently stuck in some wierd bootloop/soft brick. I had access to CWM but my SD card wouldn't mount and my adb push attempts didn't do anything, for reasons I don't know why. My phone would start up into the wierd trickdroid bootup and last for like 30 minutes. I tried the solution of another thread on how to fix a bootloop/ softbrick, but now I dont have any CWM access and I can only access the bootloader or the endless bootup screen. I tried using the all in one tool to flash the CWM again but it just restarts it and puts it back into the bootup, and when i restart to go to bootloader to acess the recovery, it goes back to bootup. Every solution I try makes my problem worse, and to top it off I cant turn my phone off and keep it off because it will just start back up. Thanks.
Edit: Problem fixed. Downloaded the original all in 1 tool for htc one s, plugged phone into comp went to fastboot and with the tool flashed the phones stock recovery. I reset to factory defaults and cleared storage with it from the bootloader. After that, I flashed clockwork mod recovery again and my SD card was able to be mounted and accepted files from my adb push, and I reflashed cyanogenmod. Wuzzah!

lol, meant to "quote" not "thanks".
Can you fastboot a new recovery?
Did you do a full wipe coming from CM9 to TrickDroid
Well I can't access the phone from usb on my computer (still takes charge though), so I don't think I can flash a recovery thru fastboot (I'm not too experienced though). From cm9, I wiped all and flashed trickdroid + tweak set, then it just stat their at home screen. CMW being lost occurred later.
Im in the same situation rght now. I have trickdroid and I went into my tweaks to set them back to their original setup...so removing all of the options I chose before when I used the tweaks for the first time. When I rebooted my phone it just hangs on the HTC screen. I can get into recovery and I tried reinstalling trickdroid but its still getting stuck. Not sure what to do at this point. I don't think I can put a recovery file on this since I can't connect it to my computer.
Hopefully someone can help us.
But the thing is I can't access recovery. I try to flash it again with the all in 1 tool and it won't work. It says it went through, but accessing it doesn't work.
If its recognised by USB when plugged in computer just run an ruu that's my solution all The time lol
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Ok i somehow managed to get TWR on my phone, but still unable to mount the SD. How do I run the RUU? I downloaded it, but the instructions are flawed I think
Connect with USB to.computer go into faatboot USB then run ruu on pc
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
Well I thought the RUU was going to work, but it just stops at the HTC and gives me an error saying I can't. What now?
Ok currently, I relocked my bootloader in an attempt to do the RUU, but I get a 155 Unknown Error up doing such, using the TMOUS 1.53 ruu... other places I have seen say something about returning to the stock img etc, but I'm quite stuck. Any advice appreciated
htc one s stuck in bootloop almost unresponsive
hey guys, got a brain teaser for you.
i have a tmobile htc one s, unlocked, rooted using all in one htc tool, been at it for two days now. im stuck on the boot screen showing its unlocked, i used to be able to get into the boot loader screen but now it seems ive dead ended. ill hold any combination of power and vol up/down, the keys flash for 10 sec and the screen flashes once, i let go and it reboots, keeps that htc screen, after 20-30 sec goes black. my pc doings like it detects a device but i cant locate it. ive used adb and the htc all in one unlock tool trying to get any kind of os to launch.
Shortly before this i was able to go into the boot loader, clear and master reset the files and cache, and search for the rom zip, thus never allowing me to flash. on a journey to place this in the phone through various combinations of the all in one, adb push, and everything else i found on youtube, countless forum posts, i seem to be in a deeper hole now.
I ultimately want to end with a cm10 nightly on my tmo htc one s. I have never done this to a phone without a sd card. i come to this community humbly seeking any and all advice. thank you.

[Q] please... HELP! atrix 2 stuck! ITS JUST STUCK! and it sucks!

So i recently got an atrix 2 that was preloaded with 4.0.4. I used a one click root method program to program it, and installed this recovery app, and tried to install mokee-rc4-july 14th on my phone. i managed to back up my data before hand but when i wiped the phone and installed the mokee all the phone kept doing was restarting. I have read about recovery mode but all I get when I press and hold the vol. down and power buttons is an oversimplified screen that looks like when I plug into the computer. The backup doesnt even freaking exist anymore on my sd card so I cant restore what was backed up.
AP fastboot flash mode (s)
0A.72
Battery LOW
Cannot Pogram
Connect USB
Data Cable
I did the wipe user data/cache, and ried to reboot but, it ether gets stuck on the red motorola boot screen or gets past that and the screen stays black and reboots over and over.. Please don't tell me I have to go through all that splicing cables n crap just to charge this battery. THERE is no way I CANNOT charge the battery? even with the phone off? How can I resolve this? this is an absolute nightmare. I'm not messing with this rooting/ custom rom stuff after this
You'll need to find a way to charge your battery. You can use someone else's phone or get an external charger of you don't want to do any wiring.
Brought to you but time and relative dimensions in space.

Hi,
You will have to find some other Atrix2 phone or some charger.
something like this one...
http://www.ebay.in/itm/1950mAh-Li-i...Mobile_Accessories&hash=item43b9b11f5c&_uhb=1
Or the macgyver method of hacking the wires and jumping straight to battery terminals.

[Q] [Help] [Question] Razr V soft-bricked

I flashed an unofficial cm 10.1 port for the razr v on slot 1 in BMM without making a nandroid backup (stupid, I know) on JB 4.1 with a locked boot loader and it wouldn't boot into CM. I wiped cache and data and it still didn't work. I tried flashing other Roms in slot 3, didn't work. I erased the CID without backing it up (bad mistake after bad mistake:crying as well. Then I had it connected to rsd lite and tried to flash an ICS SBF which obviously didn't work(failed check or something, no flashing occurred) and I exited the program even though it warned me that it would mess something up. Now I get an error and can't even get to the recovery anymore. And the battery has died (non-removable). Now I was thinking I should flash the JB 4.1 Chinese SBF for this phone but I would need a motorola factory cable. What should I do? ( Ik I posted this before, but no one has replied).

Sorry for late answer. But, yes you'll need Motorola factory cable to bypass battery check.
1. You'll need to reflash stock JB with RSD.
2. Then reboot your phone (screen turns black) you'll need to press both vol buttons, bootmenu will appear.
3. Then with voldown choose bp tool & select it with volup. You'll boot to android.
4. Then you'll need to root your phone with Razr rooting stuff.
5. Then rooting program reboot your phone (screen turns black) you'll need press both vol buttons & choose with vol down bp tools & select with vol up.
6. Then you'll be rooted install Boot Menu Manager from Play Store. BMM have 2ndinit so you wont need to start phone with BP tool anymore.
To try fix CustomerID error completely you should refer to this post - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2406867
Actually, battery IS removable, albeit u'll need a very smalle torx screwdriver (m4 or m5 if my memory is correct). But that still won't do much good since even if it's out, there no easy way to recharge it. Although if you have a scrap battery just to get the connector and have some soldering skills, you can redneck up yourself some AA batteries in a project battery holder and solder the leads to the scrapped battery's connector to at least pass the batt check. As for the softbrick though, i'm used to motorola phones yet, i've mostly fiddled with soft and hard bricked samsungs and my own LG optimus g E971, so i might not be much help on that side YET. But i DO have a razr xt885 here that belonged to a friend of mine which had the great idea of trying to fit his microSIM in there cause he was too eager to get the phone started and didn't wanna wait for me to have time to check everything out and unlock the carrier on the phone so he could use it... So now the SIM holder on the board is dead cause he ripped out the metal contacts trying to pull out his microSIM from there........ Phone still turns on though and software has not been modified in any way and everything works except for the SIM holder, so if you need backups or files from a working model, i can definetly help you there. Only thing i don't have anymore is the stock USB wire cause that one got hacked up later on to be used as a USB jig... but the battery and software are all good and i have plenty of microUSB wires to connect phones here. Plus i also live in the province just east of you So it's still a few hours drive but if all else fails and you feel like a roadtrip to Quebec, i'd be happy to help in any way possible Just let me know if you need anything

[Q] Stuck in bootloader

This morning my phone would not boot up nor would it take a charge (no charge light on). I looked at various forums/blogs and tried a lot of different methods to fix the problem. I tried soft/hard reset, more powerful charger, connecting the phone to my computer with HTC sync, battery calibration test, and even putting the sensor on front of a light while doing resets.
Only two things were accomplished. I'm able to access the bootloader screen but all of the reboot options only take me back to the bootloader screen. The factory reset and recovery don't work. The battery calibration test does prompt a empty battery symbol to come up, so I'm not really sure what that's indicating.
I would appreciate any help.
Are you currently s-off?

Did you try reflashing your recovery ?Maybe your recovery got corrupted. I would get the newest twrp 2.8.1.0 download from the twrp web site and flash it again. Chances are this will fix your problem.

My suggestion would be to try a fresh download of the ruu on your sd card and format it on your computer first or try a different sd card. Also there are many ruu's available make sure your using the correct ruu for the firmware your on. Your on 4.4.4 firmware right ?
If this does not work you might want to try formatting everything in recovery including internal memory, before doing so go under mount and make sure everything is mounted. And have the rom you want to run the zip installed on a sd card and put it in after doing your format.
If your on a gpe rom which is what it looks like I myself always had to format everything if going from a sense rom to a gpe or a gpe to sense. My recommendation would be try a sense rom after the format such as viperone. Ultimately its your call on rom choice. And after doing your format I would flash the newest twrp recovery which should be 2.8.1.0 even if your on it already reflash it then try to install your rom from your sd card.
