"The update will bring Apps on SD card support, JIT compiler, native WiFi tethering support and lots of more goodies to Galaxy 3." Interesting... But wrong place to post..

Feedback needed
Can someone post feedback if already tried?

Upgrading now. Kies says it is upgrading to JP2 version.
Also during the upgrade in the screen there is a version information as 11.03.24.01
Will post the feedback after upgrade.

This update is of version I5801DDJP2. Dated 05th April 2011.
Seems very similar to JPF.
Very stable.
Will post updates as I get to check it.

It's not "official". This topic is unnecessary, because you only provided a link to another thread.
Thanks !
Yes it's not official. It may become, because v21 will be release version, but the letter may differ in final. Anyway thanks for trying to help, but it may be unneccessary in one week.

Patiently waiting for CHIMERA

I have been trolling these forums for days waiting for the official chimera release only to find that the thread has been updated and I missed the initial release due to a bug. Not a problem but am I missing something or is there a new and improved download at this point. If there is one please let me know where to get it. I only ask because I see people post that they are running it after trying various fixes
Thanks in advance

OTA Updates

So since I can't post on dev threads yet I'll post here. Anyone know why I can't get OTA updates to work with my current ROM? Running Communisation 1.1.5 and got an alert for an available update to 1.1.6 but when I try to download it OTA Updater says "There was an error with the download!" I can download other things fine and have suffcient memory on my phone for it. Do I assume its a developer error? No one has posted anything about it on the devs thread for this ROM.

If no one has posted it its like something up at your end, and questions like this shouldnt be posted in the development forum... because its not development. Your best bet will be to post in the Q&A for your device so that users of this ROM can help you
^^^
And, as far as I know, you will not be able to receive official updates if you are using custom roms (since they are unofficial)...
But that could differ from device to device...

Yes there is a leak for your phone, and the OTA should be right around the corner got you also.
Sadly I'm on my phone and can't search well, however if you search you should find the threads you need.

Thanks for a quick reply. Can we install the leaked version. If yes can we have the step by step procedure to install it. I know its a pain to mention all the details , But i am just started using it so kind of eager to install the ICS.
Thanks,

Hi Guys,
Thanks much for all the help and interest shown. Much appreciated !!. I have looked at the procedure and have decided that will wait for some time and install it via the regular software upgrade.
Thanks,

Heres the letter I received:
Hi.
Thanks for signing up for the Atrix 2 software test. Our apologies for the delay in starting this test! The software will begin to be pushed out later this afternoon; however, it may take several hours for all targeted devices to receive the update.
We're eager to hear your feedback. Please share your experience on the private community provided, and via the survey I will send out after you've had some time to work with the software.
To ensure we hear you, please follow these guidelines:
Please post all your feedback in our private community (link below). This also where you'll find help during the soak.
Please do not call or contact Motorola, AT&T or your carrier support for help during the soak. Those teams are not yet ready to support this software.
I'm not able to check private messages on the forums during soaks, so if you need immediate help that's not a good route to take. Post in the community instead.
If you have any problems accessing the private community, please click here for help.
Please do not post questions publicly, on our site or elsewhere.
Please start your visit to the private community here. You'll find additional important information in the Welcome message as soon as you sign in. (Note that you will not be able to post in the public communities during the soak test.)
Thanks so much for your participation! We really appreciate your time and insights.
Regards,

It's your call on whether you want to install it or not.
I can almost guarantee that you will not be able to go back to gingerbread afterwards.
My advice? Download it, but do NOT install it. Pull it from your cache folder and send it to one of the devs here. DO NOT post the link in the forums.

The only thing I'm curious about is if the ns bootloader is still present
As in reply to both of you (Super_Commando and fardeen20)check out Motorola update page Atrix 2 has gone from ICS in Q3 to "further plans coming soon".so i wouldn't be surprised if we don't get ICS at all.btw i'm also using ATT Atrix 2 unlocked in India.i have installed the ICS leak and it works without any hassle.
it is confirmed same as stock as the soak test update version given by Motorola today is same as the second leak.the release date,md5 sums all check out.
