For the past couple days the screen hasn't been rotating when turned on its side. Any ideas what's causing this?
Usually a simple reboot will fix this, a few people have had this issue.
It might crop up again from time to time... happened to me once one and I have had the phone since it came out on ATT...

Yeah rebooted, no work. Tried rebooting after turning off auto rotate then turned it back on and it didn't work. Just noticed for some apps it works, others not, so guess it's a bug in the SW. :-(

Okay so I've had the HTC Fuze for 3-4 days now and 1 thing that i noticed is in the screen, by the bottom (where the touchflo is) the screen is like "blinking".
It's hard to explain, but if you get closer to the screen you see like its moving and shaking but when you look at any other spot its not.
Is this normal or my device could have a problem?
Oh and sometimes when i use the keyboard and the screen rotates, the "right side" which is the bottom (keeps blinking) sometimes has the letters of the menu before i rotated the phone, so it has like letters with opacity there as if OVER the screen.
Any of you have this problem? Or is it just me?
What can I do? My device is still in warranty but its a really small problem, it just bothers me the screen like that.
Thank you.
PS. Ill post a video if you want to see more clearly.
not normal
I agree this is not normal. Reflash your ROM.

I've never done this before. But i wanted to take all the A&T stuff of my phone and make it faster. What ROM would you recommend me?
There's other threads about this on these boards. It's a hardware issue with the Fuze, and yes, it is normal. I've gone through 4 Fuze's, all of them were sent back on warranty, because of this exact problem. I just seen a thread not too long ago about it and someone mentioned that it was a hardware problem but I really don't remember his/her explanation of it.

Oh so should I send mines back or just keep it?
It doesn't bother me at all, i mean, i could live with it, but sometimes i think it would be better if it didnt do that.
It just happens when my device is hot. I mean, when you use WIFI the phone gets warmer and thats when the screen starts doing that, when i turn it off and let it rest it works fine again, and sometimes when i put it in standby mode and then back to normal it comes with the blinking thing and sometimes not.
Like I said, I've gone through 4 and still have the problem. My advice, either switch the TF3D look so it's not as noticable in portrait or just switch a totally new ROM with a new TF3D look. It's still going to happen but you'll notice it less. Even on this new Fuze it's still happening. I'm using EnergyROM Mercury right now, and while I still have the problem, it's nowhere near as obvious as before.
Another thing I've noticed that seems to help a bit from time to time is to turn off the screen and plug the charger in. Weird, but it fixes it sometimes. As you also noticed, it only happens when the device is hot. A prime time for it to happen is when you hang up a call.

Hi - I just got my Sensation a few days ago and I love it. But I have now found an annoying bug (?). When I take a picture and it involves the flash going off, 8 times out of ten the phone will just go dead immediately - screen off, no response. Sometimes a battery pull required to get it to reboot. Anyone experienced this?
Seems to happen indoors when the subject is fairly close, darker conditions.
Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem - I really don't want to return it
Try turning off geotagging.
Thanks, I tried that, then turning off gps, then turning off location, same problem every time.
I find that turning off mobile data, and even leaving all of the above on, stops the problem. Or, leaving data on but turning off the flash. Data + flash = crash...!
Still not sure if this is software related? I guess so?

Hmm. Since it's correlated with the flash, and few if any others have complained about this I'd guess HW, but who knows. I'd probably do a factory reset, and if that didn't fix it get a replacement.
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Same thing happens to my phone.
This was posted when the phone first came out. Probably in the early threads. That was one of the first things I checked when I got my Sensation. I don't know if there was a solution other than swapping - but do a search in the forum because it was covered. Hope there was a solution for you.
Same thing happens here, Revo HD.

At first I just waited and it would restart THEN...
Had to pull battery and it would restart THEN...
When it restarted only a speckled screen followed by home screen THEN...
Only speckled screen THEN...
Nothing but the vibration when trying to restart THEN...
A replacement is being shipped after a trip to the T-Mobile store.
Initially I called T-Mobile and they told me the UPDATE would solve my problem but as the day progressed it was all down hill.
During the course of the sales person ordering me a new phone they automatically added a protection plan without my knowledge.
YIPPEE HUH?
Hi everyone.. I searched a bit but couldn't come up with any more answers so I'm wondering if I missed something.
I've had my TF since like May, and for as long as I've had it, I've had this issue.
No matter what kernel or Rom or anything, my TF always randomly reboots ONLY when my screen is shut off and the wireless is left on. It doesn't reboot if I'm using it, and the only way to make it not happen is to turn on airplane mode when I'm done with it.
Its not a big deal, but it is annoying, especially if I leave it in the living room and forget airplane mode. Then whoever is in there gets to watch my TV constantly and randomly reboot every few minutes.
Its just more annoying than anything. Id love to just keep wifi active so it automatically connects when I turn the screen on.
Other than this, my TF has been flawless for like 6 months
Thanks if anyone has any information!
I've suffered through the same issue with my 16gb TF. By any chance do you have your pattern lockscreen turned on? Can't quite remember where, but I read that having it stops the reboots.
I tried it on mine and haven't had one since...but it's only been a day or 2. Can anyone confirm if the lockscreen stops or limits the issue?

Wow, ill have to give this a try. I've never used the pattern lockscreen.
random reboots
I get this after about an hour of use. If I sitch it off via the button then when I press it again it reboots. If I just let th TF switch itself off (after 5 mins) it switches on normally when I press the start button.
I also had similar problems with my wife's TF, it rebooted randomly just about anytime (not just with screen off), apps crashing randomly. When I returned it to the store where I bought it, they immediately replaced it with a new one that doesn't suffer any of those problems.
If you have such problems, I'd recommend taking it back to the store for repair, because that is definitely not the expected behavior.
unfortunately the lock screen thing didn't work
Can't really take the thing back, I've had it for months.... fortunately this is the only issue I have... I can live with it. Its purely an annoyance that doesn't affect me when using it...
I'm having a problem where the camera works for a couple of hours then just turns completely black and doesn't start working again until i reboot the phone.
When i say works for a couple of hours i don't mean a couple of hours of continuous use but a couple of hours general use of the phone.
I first notice it when I'm unlocking my phone as i have Face Unlock enabled,
The front camera won't start so i have to unlock using the backup unlock method (pattern in my case).
As soon as that happens the camera stops working all together, even in the camera app, like i said, until i restart the phone.
Any ideas ?
I had the same issue last night, I went to take a picture but the camera was just a black screen until I reboot.
I can confirm this as well. Only fix i can tell is a reboot.
Exactly the same problem here... Android 4.4 Bug I guess
Same issue for me, and i also have face unlock enabled. Very annoying.

I didn't wanna say anything as to not jinx it but i tried something that seems to have helped my situation.
I Force Stopped the Camera app in Settings --- Apps and then cleared the app data.
That didn't magically fix it but after doing that AND rebooting my phone i haven't had a problem with the camera.
It hasn't even been a full day yet but it's been working for about 18 hours which is great compared to yesterday's having to reboot every couple of hours.
Same Problem here. Also have face unlock active...
Thanks guys for reporting it here!!! I was really close on exchanging my otherwise perfect phone! Now I really think it's software and not hardware related.
Greetings,
Sarusani
Does anyone here get the bottom of their picture blurred out when they use flash? It always looks like if my finger is covering the lens which is not.

I get my Nexus today/tomorrow. I'll do some diagnostics and see if I can find out what's causing the black screen.
Happened once, black screen, reboot. I wasn't able to reproduce it yet.
So much for my "solution"
Just happened again.
I'm tempted to try a factory reset or flashing a factory image.
If anyone's actually tried this I'd appreciate a heads up.
Same for me

I've had this problem on the Slim rom and flashed the factory image yesterday.
Last night, the camera was working well until I switched to a panorama, then it was black.
After a reboot I wasn't able to reproduce it.

There goes my plan to flash the factory image
I hope that it stays fixed for you but unless someone who has had this problem is able to confirm that they haven't had this happen to them for at least a couple of days I'm gonna stick with "This is a serious problem" (for me at least)
This is very unfortunate! Luckily I haven't come across this issue yet but I haven't used the camera much. BTW does anyone know how to change the focus to continuous? Can't find the option.
Apparently this is related to Face Unlock.
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=61873
If anyone can confirm this ?
Who has had this problem and not used Face Unlock ?
No idea why this got posted twice.
The only way to "fix" it at the moment, is to turn off face unlock.
My back camera started crashing when i tried to take a picture in complete darkness and ever since i only get a black screen. I have tried to run the phone on safe mode and rebooted many times and it still gives me a black screen. Today i flashed my phone with the factory image and it still broken. I am suspecting this is more than just a software bug. Can anyone confirm this?
Adding myself to the problem with Camera randomly not working, and fix with rebooting.
Nexus 5 - Rooted
The last nights I recognized a strange problem that happened several times now where the clock won't turn off again when putting down my hand. But just let me explain it step by step...
The last nights every time I go to bed I leave the watch on my wrist, but I shut down Bluetooth and WiFi, as well as activating Do-Not-Disturb-Mode and activating Power-Saving Mode. After changing back everything the next morning I recognized, that the watch would turn on, when lifting my hand to look at it, but it won't turn off again when lowering it again. The screen will turn off after timeout.
The problem persists until I change the setting for auto-wake off and on again. After that procedure the clock works again as wished.
The next days I will try to encounter which of my good-night-steps will cause the problem.
Anyone that encountered the same behaviour?
I use the Gear S2 Sport RM-720.
just see this issue. I have the watch since 3 days.
Seem that Samsung keep his old issue indefinitely
Did you let your s2 contact with water, i have the same problem and i sent to samsung warranty and they said mine have water inside. sorry for bad english

Similar problem here + always on seems to stop working (till I turn its setting off and on again) automatically.
Seems more to be a software issue though. This started happening only after the latest update. Maybe I should try a full factory reset.
Samsung has known to act evil and give the water damage issue to a lot of people regarding many random issues.
I wouldn't trust them with this.

I have mine since 4 days, so it start from full reset when I received it (second hand) firmware is up to date.
