Random drop in battery - Thunderbolt General

So I was just playing with my tbolt, I was at 65 percent battery, i lock the screen and on the next commercial break (i was watching tv), i look at my battery and BAM, down to 55.
What can cause this? What is the solution?
Sorry if this has been asked before

Battery Level

I know there are a few threads on the battery levels being a bit random at times, but mine is really hacking me off.
It will stop at say 75% and just stay there, when I reboot its down to like 50% or less. Twice now its gone dead because I though it had plenty of charge but just wasn't moving.
Is it the phone or battery thats the problem or drivers or something - ps this is on a standard rom, no tweaks etc.
same here.im using romeos rom but it seems to be a problem with another roms to.the battery % stay (for example) 10 hrs 68 % and after reset dropt 5,10,15 % down . is it hardware problem or software ?
And quite same here... The case is a bit worse even. When I charge it from lo-bat warning to full, it sort of overcharges itself and might hang up even! I noticed this in two phases - 1) when I left my TP to charge during night, it was hanged in the morning 2) when charging from lo-batt and restarting at ~85% bat level, after boot up the battery reports something at 98% or something!
I have the same (all posts) some time I have 78% and make reset and now i have 89%. Which is real 78 or 89%!??
when I charge all night I have only 70-92% after 6 hours, and after reset 100%
For me this is unusable as I cant trust it without constantly rebooting which is not good enough.
Lucky for me its a second phone, so I'll flog it and think of something else.
Hi there!
I have the same problem, after charging over night. The battery indicator shows, that a battery is not fully charged. After short removing battery and rebooting it shows 100%. With another HTC battery it is the same. When I use another spare battery (not original HTC), it works correctly. But I dont like the spare battery, because it is hard to remove from device because of its sharp edges. I think, it is a HW problem of battery, or a problem of device.

Something good

This may seem really weird. I installed the saphire update and then reverted back to adp. Now my battery take a long time to charge maybe 4-5 hours. 2 hours for 20 % recently. And it doesn't go down easily. I listened to music for around 2 hrs. Called people and it still didn't even reduce a precent. Its the same 71 % like before.

Sounds like the battery calibration might be off.....
Allow the battery to COMPLETELY discharge and then recharge it COMPLETELY. Then let us know what happens
its the same man. I love it now. Battery doesnt dies and only thing i have to do is charge over night. Works for 2 days easily
people have mentioned their battery lasting longer with the new radio update. could that be what it is?
Maybe
It may be cause i have the new radio update from sapphire. Network goes of for a second in 30-60 minutes. It comes back. But surely it takes a large time to charge. Much more than previous.

[Q] What is your battery temperature during heavy usage?

Hey everyone, what are your battery temperatures during heavy usage? More specifically, while watching a movie, playing a game, or even surfing the web, where the phone can get unusually warm?
My battery temperature has reached as high as 47 degrees celsius. I am concerned considering if you take a look at your battery, there's a sign on it saying that it shouldn't go above 40 degrees celsius/104 degrees fahrenheit.

my phone starts feeling hot at around 86 degrees F. i have a setcpu profile to underclock when the phone is about 85 degrees because i dont like the heat and i figure its not good for the battery to be so hot. before setcpu, i was at around 90 during heavy usage..
My battery temp range is usually between 30°-40°c. Rarely do I go above that temp range. If you are seeing higher temps, there maybe something wrong with your battery. It would be helpfull to know what the thermal limits are, in reguard to battery temps. My rule of thumb is anything over 40° may be approaching the danger zone. I woikd stop what im doing and let the phone cool off.
I got to 52c w teathering. Now i keep it near my window when i do dat.
G2x
mine reached 108F 43C with just the screen on doing nothing else when it's charging. whole top half (back and front) of the phone gets really warm. is that normal?
Set up wifi tether, plug the phone into the wall charger, start downloading on your pc, and watch those numbers fly!!!
The first day I had my phone I did this and I heard a weird beep noise. When I looked at the phone, it had a warning message on it regarding battery temp.
I don't know the temperature it was at though.
mine is at 109 degrees right now and im just downloading stuff off of the charger.
My battery temp is usually around 35-40°, and I am pretty sure it has not gone above that. I don't try to kill the phone, though. If I am downloading a bunch of stuff, that is when it is usually the hottest.

battery loss rates

I recently bought a Google pixel that appears to be suffering from excessive battery drain. I'm returning it, but am curious as to what sort of battery life I should expect.
I did an experiment. I fully charged it, and then just used Google camera to record video. I left it on the table, and came back sometime later.
It was losing charge at basically 1% per hour. In the 45 minutes of recording time, it had dropped by 46%. I used better battery stats to validate that no other apps were doing anything significant.
I'm hoping that they replace the battery, and if they do, what sort of life could I expect when taking video?
In general use scenarios, the battery does drain fast. The best I can hope for is 18 hours with less than 3 hours screen time, and sometimes even less...

This battery amazes me sometimes

So I'm at a straight 2 hours and 45 minutes constant screen use with 75% Brightness and my battery is at 87%. That just floors me still.
I didn't post this in the Real Life review section because I have a question. I basically only do a few things on my phone. Play Madden, watch YouTube and browse on chrome. Barely text or call people. With the same habits sometimes the battery seems alot better one day and some days worse with idle battery drain. When I check battery or well-being and whatnot I really don't see what's causing idle battery drain. I don't have Facebook, Messenger even logged in. Any ideas how I can find the culprit. It's sometimes but not all the time.
