I have a serious problem! URGENT HELP please.
I did a clean factory because my phone was very slow. I have the V1.3 Dexters, patch 1 and 2, before restoring to factory settings nandroid I made a copy, a copy mybackup pro, and another with Titanium backup pro. After re-establish and restore the backup, everything worked fine, but soon the telephone began again to be slow.
By restoring the factory settings was not sure whether the patches were to be or not, ie had the doubt if I had to install again, well, after restoring the backup, I went into recovery mode and installed the patch again 1 ..... and my phone stopped working, when I restarted indicating left hundreds of sales each of the applications "forced closure."
I tried entering recovery mode to put it back to factory defaults, however it did not work, got stuck on the logo of Dexter's Froy.
When reset to factory mode patches are always installed or I have to reinstall? I ask this because after restoring the backup, would not let me move the applications to the SD, the re-established applications in the phone's internal memory, not the SD (which was before) and I tried to reinstall both patches.
Summary
By restoring the backup, he did everything, but applications that were in the SD, were installed in internal memory.
Newly installed Patch 1 and could not enter, indicating that there was a problem and ought to shut off.
I went into recovery mode, factory settings and was in Dexter's logo. Remove the battery and still remains in the logo.
What I can do now that he has been in the logo?
When restored to factory settings, patches are installed?
Thanks
If restoring your nandroid fails (or yields unsatisfactory results) I would restore a fresh copy of Dexter's 1.3 (Wipe data / Factory reset) & then apply Mioze7Ae's v3 update. Then grab your backup app from the market & restore what's missing.

Thanks for your answer, the big problem I have is that you get stuck on the logo of Dexters, and pressing the volume key gallery and enters recovery mode, but only gives me three options, apply update, restore to factory data A partition.
I do not know what to do, yes I made a copy before installing nandroid dexter rom, but to apply update tells me there's an error, practically does not let me do anything. I am currently downloading 4.9 and firmware RSDLite USA +. sbf I do not know if that can do something...
Hold in the volume up while turning on the device to get back in to OpenRecovery. I believe the key combinations your trying takes you to Motorola's recovery.

I say go clean install here 2.1.1 to 2.2.1 to v3 use Khal's it's Stable and fast!
Use nandroid for back up.
Install apps to EXT partition if you dont want to loose them.
Our setup is too custom to use backup apps.

THANKS! Very Grateful! I did what you told me, turn the volume up button and entered into openrecovery, I applied the patch 3, and the phone is working properly. Really very grateful, I was scared, and had already prepared my old palm center.
Greetings!

Thanks for your response, this means that the backups do not apply the applications that are in SD?
The patches remain after reestabler to factory settings?
Now that I have installed the patch 3, if I wanted to restore to factory settings I have to re-install the patches?

I think the patch remains in effect after a factory reset, no need to reapply the patch.

I've installed MIUI on the Nook Color and now would like to restore it back to factory settings, but can't! What am I doing wrong?
I've booted into ClockWorkMod Recovery and did a wipe, but it still boots back into MIUI. I also installed CWM on a microSD and booted into recovery from there to perform a wipe, and still it won't work.
Is there a way to perform the 8 interrupted boots??
Any help is appreciated.
Never mind... I think I figured it out.
I just have to download the complete restore file and restore from that.
I have switched from my old Dx and now own a Samsung S3. I rooted it and wanted to make a good backup of the rooted stock phone before trying any mods or roms. I installed something called TWRP(GooManager) but I noticed when I ran it there is nothing that I can see that has to do with backup and/or restore. I then uninstalled GooManager. Then I tried to get to the factory Samsung backup and restore screen using the volume up, home and power buttons. Unfortunaltely it looked just like the GooManager screen....no reference to backup or restore. Then I tried EZ-Recovery which I was told was a lot like the old ClockWorkMod. I tried booting to that and again the screen I saw was the seemed to be the same looking screen as the GooManager screen. I remember reading something somewhere in the DroidX forums that removing ClockWorkMod required deleting a couple files to completely uninstall it. So I was thinking maybe something similar is required to completely remove it as well. I tried a factory reset but that didn't do it.
When I try to get to the factory backup restore screen it looked like this.....
Android system recovery <3e>
Volume up/down to move highlight:
power button to select.
reboot system now
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
Obviously I can not make a backup or restore a backup with this.
Underneath that about midway on the screen in yellow it says:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Applying Multi-CSC...
Apllied the CSC-code : VZW
Successfully applied multi-CSC.
And there is a green droid in the background.
I need to make a backup that I can rely on before I start flashing things......
Im having issues flashing the JellyBomb 15.3 Rom, hoping someone can help me. I am rooted. When i flash it from TWRP and it completes the flash it ask for superuser permission. I grant it and it reboots. It looks like its rebooting with the animated screen and then my Note 2 screen goes black and does nothing else.I let it sit for 15 mins and still nothing. I am able to pull the battery and Restore my backup...Am i doing something wrong?

I had this problem with CM10.1 on my sgs2. keep calm, it's easy.
If you can boot your phone normally, boot it then connect it to pc and search for jelly bean GAPPS.
1Download JB gapps then put them in your SD card in the folder in which you have the zip for jelly bomb rom.
2Reboot in recovery do a full wipe for user data/cache/dalvik cache and install the ROM and GAPPS.
3When it finishes installing the phone should reboot normally.
Now, if your phone can't boot normally and you don't have a backup, remove your SD card and put it in an adaptor or in another phone and connect it to the PC. this way you can transfer the GAPPS and ROM in the SD card if the phone is not working. now do the no2 above and it should work.
hit thanks if i helped and good luck

thanks for the reply...I tried to flash it last nite again and it worked fine. I ran into another issue. I downloaded titanium app to restore all my apps and data. when the restore completed it asked to reboot. I rebooted and after the jellybomb boot animation, the screen went black again and im forced to do a battery pull and restore my backup rom. might there be something in my titanium backup that is causing this?

thanks for ur reply. In titanium I backed up all user apps + system data
I then restored all apps with data
Ok, so I asked this in XDA Assist but can't post reply there.
This is what happened on my Xperia mini St15i, with firmware 4.1.B.0.587:
1. I turned on Bluetooth and the phone got stuck in infinite boot loop - apparently this is a known bug.
2. I decided to try out CM 9. Installed CWM Recovery and did backup on sd card and flashed CM.
3. I remembered that I did the backup earlier so I thought maybe there is a way to keep my apps and data.
4. I went back to CWM and restored from backup. CM didn't boot then, so I flashed back stock rom with flashtool and booted the phone. The apps and data was there( at least for one app which was very important), but contacts and messages were gone.
So my question is, is there a way to recover ALL user data from the backup? I don't care if it's on stock rom or CM at this point.
I hope some of you knowledgeable people can help!
Many thanks,
Paul
Can someone please help. :crying:
I managed to restore it with all the data by trial and error (I don't know HOW). Then at night the phone lost battery and is back to rebooting forever.
If I restore all via CWM and then flash stock, it boots up saying "Android is upgrading" and then keeps rebooting.
If I do a factory reset via CWM and flash stock rom, the phone is back to factory setting with no data.
WHICH partitions should I recover and which should I flash to retain the data??? HELP :crying:
Hi all, my Note 2 has been running crDroid for quite sometime but this morning the network locked the phone back to AT&T. I restored my stock backup, entered my unlock code (again), and then tried restoring my crDroid backup. However, as soon as it finishes the boot sequence, it continually pops up a window saying that Google Services Framework has stopped and none of the apps will launch. I have tried restoring the backup in a few different ways:
Restore and boot.
Restore, wipe dalvik, boot.
Restore, flash the latest package of Open Gapps, boot.
Wipe internal memory, restore, boot.
I'm at a loss for why it suddenly will not work anymore after having to reflash stock. I am now using a clean install and it is working fine, but I'd like to get back to my old install so I don't have to go through all of the setup of the phone again. Any suggestions?
P.S. Anyone know why my phone relocked itself when it has been working fine?
