I have a serious problem! URGENT HELP please.
I did a clean factory because my phone was very slow. I have the V1.3 Dexters, patch 1 and 2, before restoring to factory settings nandroid I made a copy, a copy mybackup pro, and another with Titanium backup pro. After re-establish and restore the backup, everything worked fine, but soon the telephone began again to be slow.
By restoring the factory settings was not sure whether the patches were to be or not, ie had the doubt if I had to install again, well, after restoring the backup, I went into recovery mode and installed the patch again 1 ..... and my phone stopped working, when I restarted indicating left hundreds of sales each of the applications "forced closure."
I tried entering recovery mode to put it back to factory defaults, however it did not work, got stuck on the logo of Dexter's Froy.
When reset to factory mode patches are always installed or I have to reinstall? I ask this because after restoring the backup, would not let me move the applications to the SD, the re-established applications in the phone's internal memory, not the SD (which was before) and I tried to reinstall both patches.
Summary
By restoring the backup, he did everything, but applications that were in the SD, were installed in internal memory.
Newly installed Patch 1 and could not enter, indicating that there was a problem and ought to shut off.
I went into recovery mode, factory settings and was in Dexter's logo. Remove the battery and still remains in the logo.
What I can do now that he has been in the logo?
When restored to factory settings, patches are installed?
Thanks
If restoring your nandroid fails (or yields unsatisfactory results) I would restore a fresh copy of Dexter's 1.3 (Wipe data / Factory reset) & then apply Mioze7Ae's v3 update. Then grab your backup app from the market & restore what's missing.

Thanks for your answer, the big problem I have is that you get stuck on the logo of Dexters, and pressing the volume key gallery and enters recovery mode, but only gives me three options, apply update, restore to factory data A partition.
I do not know what to do, yes I made a copy before installing nandroid dexter rom, but to apply update tells me there's an error, practically does not let me do anything. I am currently downloading 4.9 and firmware RSDLite USA +. sbf I do not know if that can do something...
Hold in the volume up while turning on the device to get back in to OpenRecovery. I believe the key combinations your trying takes you to Motorola's recovery.

I say go clean install here 2.1.1 to 2.2.1 to v3 use Khal's it's Stable and fast!
Use nandroid for back up.
Install apps to EXT partition if you dont want to loose them.
Our setup is too custom to use backup apps.

THANKS! Very Grateful! I did what you told me, turn the volume up button and entered into openrecovery, I applied the patch 3, and the phone is working properly. Really very grateful, I was scared, and had already prepared my old palm center.
Greetings!

Thanks for your response, this means that the backups do not apply the applications that are in SD?
The patches remain after reestabler to factory settings?
Now that I have installed the patch 3, if I wanted to restore to factory settings I have to re-install the patches?

I think the patch remains in effect after a factory reset, no need to reapply the patch.

So earlier today my phone stopped getting service . After trial and error i ended up in a boot loop so i nandroid backped and factory reset. I reflashed PAC man ROM and all seemed good, so i went to nandroid advanced restore and tried to only restore data to try and not boot loop again.this ddidn't work so i wiped and flashed PAC man again. This time however i restored the boot and system and my phone works fine. I'm unsure of what restoring sd-ext will do. So my question is, how to i restore my data now from nandroid without getting boot looped? All i really need off of it is my texts. (Apps are on titanium)

I think your best option is to download nandroid manager from the playstore. That will allow you to pull your data from your backup and restore it from the app, it's similar to the way titanium backup restores data.
I think the issue you're having has to do with restoring data from a 4.2.2 rom. Most recoveries have issues with restoring data because 4.2.2 is setup for multiuser and the data locations are different. I think when you're restoring data only, it's not actually writing your data correctly and it's soft bricking your phone.

I got nandroid manager and it worked perfectly! Thanks a million!Exactly what I needed
First of all I want to apolozige for my english (is my third lenguage) and say thank you for your time.
Yesterday I wanted to try a custom rom, I did a backup from Orange Fox Recovery, after two hours I decided to coming back to MIUI so I restore the backup but the backup doesn't work, it installed MIUI, but not the data, but thats not the main problem, WiFi is not working (when I active it the mobile freeze and about 10 seconds says the UI is not working) I have tried to wipe and reinstall the rom but it gives me a error.
What can I do?

before restoring the MIUI backup, make a clean wipe (including the system partition), then try to restore. and if doesnt work then do 1 thing first restore system and boot only and wait until the device turns on, then go back to recovery and restore the data partition.
Hi all,
I have A6000 with OOS 9.0.5. I installed magisk and TWRP with this guide. I did a full backup, however I cannot restore it. I get error 255 on tarExtractFork(). I use official TWRP 3.3.0. After failed restore I can still boot to (now freshly wiped after attempted restore) system. Even backups of this clean system cannot be restored.
For the record, I don't have a second profile, no "999" user id, I didn't change slots, I removed screen lock before making backup. I still have this problem even if I backup just data, with all other options unticked.
Any help? I come from a device, which didn't have any problems with backup/restore so this is a bummer for me. But I'm sure that users of OP6 can do backups and restores.
Thanks!
For anyone that also has the same problem:
This helped me. I have a feeling that flashing just data through fastboot could be enough, but I didn't have an occasion to check it, as even subsequent restores worked.
I used this to flash device in fastboot mode.
Installed Lineage 18.1 OS, TWRP 3.6.0_11-0 and Magisk, booted system, added PIN and fingerprints, all was good. Booted back into TWRP and made a full backup of all partitions. Tried a test restore of Super and Data partitions. Upon reboot, I get the lineage splash/boot screen, then "phone is starting" forever. From reading around, this is due to the system trying to access encrypted data. Questions: 1) I'd like to be able to use TWRP for two things: a) restoring to a new device should this one break, and b) reverting back to previously backed up state of operation on the same device. What partitions should I be restoring for each of these? 2) Is there a fix or proper method to make restorable backups using TWRP?
Exactly the same situation. And have exactly the same questions.
Had the same problem, wiped data, repaired data file system, rebooted into system to disable the pin. Then restored my TWRP data backup again, now it boots into system, just had to reboot twice because the gestures and staturbar didn't work first. Now I just have to tweak some little details again to get it how it was.
Didn't solve my main problem though, SMS not working. Wiped and repaired data again, now it works. Welp, guess I have to set it all up again from here.
