The only root methods that I'm aware of require a USB connection to a PC. I'm curious, though. If your USB port isn't working then how did you flash ICS?

Karbonn Titanium S99 Rooted !!!

Hello friends,
If you are searching on how to root your Karbonn Titanium s99, then you are at right place.
Things needed to root your phone:
1. Karbonn titanium s99 with 50% charge.
2. A computer with active internet connection.
3. USB Cable.
Procedure:
You need a proper rooting tool. I used Kingo root. Get the tool from www, kingoapp, com
Download and install the tool.
Now enable USB debugging in your phone(go to settings---> Developer options--> USB debugging)
Connect your phone to computer with USB cable.
Open kingo root and wait for tool to detect your device.
Once detected, Kingo will start downloading drivers for the device.
It will tell you to disconnect the device when installing drivers.
Once drivers are installed, connect your phone again.
It will detect device as Karbonn device titanium s99.
Now click on ROOT button. Sit back and relax.
Your device will reboot several times and it takes about 15 minutes for rooting procedure to complete.
When it asks for authentication on your phone, allow.
( If your device is stuck at fastboot mode, disconnect the phone, remove battery, switch it on and follow the same procedure of rooting. This happens due to incorrect preloader drivers. Don't get panic)
After few reboots, you will see the message root succeeded and see your device is rooted !
Any comments are most welcomed.

LGG3 Root Question: tethering issue

New to this forum and new to Android root. I'm excited to get started!
I'm on an LGG3 850 and running Lollipop 5.0.1.
I've followed the root instructions, when I power off the phone, hold down the up-volume and plug in the USB, I get to the Firmware screen. I then use Command Window to insert command string and all looks good, but they don't actually install on phone. I think it's because every time I unplug USB and plug back in USB tethering is off and has to be on for phone to connect to computer. USB Debugging is on. Any suggestion to keep USB tethering ON as the default?
Thanks for helping me!!!
Steve
You don't need USB tethering for adb the problem is probably with USB debugging. Had the same problem with my Lenovo A6000 and I don't have a solution for this but an alternative method. First install kingroot to root your phone and install flashify for flashing custom recovery
