I was restoring a nexus S to the factory image and I picked the soju image instead of the sojus image. After flashing the bootloader I lost USB connectivity, so can't see the device with adb or fastboot. I have USB debugging enabled, but USB debugging doesn't start when I plug in the USB cable. The phone is still useable, but this is a development phone, so without ADB it's pretty much useless.
So I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to reinstall the correct bootloader without USB, i.e. wirelessly? The bootloader is unlocked but doesn't have su or CWM on it.
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
I have working phone that is locked(I know the password, but don't want to use it) I'm doing this for research for Mobile Forensics purposes.
I know you can get the image of the phone using ADB shell and dd command and I have done when the usb debugging is enabled. I have crack the password while the USB debugging is enabled too, but what if is not enabled?
How can I enable the USB debugging when is off on the phone and I can't unlock it? is there any way to enable the USB debugging on an Android phone without actually going to the settings? Is there any command that I can use in fastboot to do this? any free software that you know about that can do this?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
From bootloader screen you can do anything. Why you still need USB Debugging?
New to this forum and new to Android root. I'm excited to get started!
I'm on an LGG3 850 and running Lollipop 5.0.1.
I've followed the root instructions, when I power off the phone, hold down the up-volume and plug in the USB, I get to the Firmware screen. I then use Command Window to insert command string and all looks good, but they don't actually install on phone. I think it's because every time I unplug USB and plug back in USB tethering is off and has to be on for phone to connect to computer. USB Debugging is on. Any suggestion to keep USB tethering ON as the default?
Thanks for helping me!!!
Steve
You don't need USB tethering for adb the problem is probably with USB debugging. Had the same problem with my Lenovo A6000 and I don't have a solution for this but an alternative method. First install kingroot to root your phone and install flashify for flashing custom recovery
Hi guys and happy new year!:laugh: This is my problem:
I broke the phone's screen and I want recover my numbers, but the debug usb is disabled.
Maybe I can enable the debug from recovery mode, but how can I access? One solution is reboot phone from bash in recovery mode, but how?
The phone is unlocked with root and is not compatible with OTG adapter
We also accept other solutions.
Thanks!
Install a new custom ROM.
The screen broke completely and I had not connected to the pc since then.
How can I activate USB DEBUGG from adb ????? please help
