Hello everyone...
I have been running around with my inspire naked, but would like a little protection..
I really reply on my GPS a lot....looks like a lot of the cases interfere with GPS reception..
Anyone had any luck finding one that doesn't..??
Thanks..
just posted pics on the GPS friendly, htc TPU case here.
Thanks...I had a seidio innocase 2 on my nexus one and really liked it..
Anyone reporting any problems with the innocase on the inspire.?

I'm using the Otterbox Defender case for a DesireHD and everything works just fine.
Otterbox commuter
Inspired from my Inspire 4G using XDA Premium App
I use the Platinum case from Best Buy and have great GPS. It is exactly like the Seidio Innocase just with a different branding.
Otterbox Defender - Grab GPS signal within 5 seconds and it tracks VERY well.

I have this as well, and it degraded the GPS signals when I tested it...
Perhaps it doesn't degrade the signal as much as other cases, but in my test it failed.
The Case-Mate Barely There Matte Black case has nearly no negative impact on GPS though.

i dont have this TPU case, but i have a the bodyglove mirage TPU case. really bummed that it degrades the GPS too. dont see why a flimsy rubber case would do that. without case i can get locks between 3 and 9 meters, with the case its more like 20 meters. booo.
I am using Otterbox Commuter without any issues.

I really don't understand how could a piece of silicon interfere with GPS signal. On my Inspire I've had Otterbox Commuter, Bodyglove, Speck Candyshell, Case Mate Barely There, as well as few generics and NONE of them interfered with GPS. Are you sure it's not the actual GPS you're having problem with? Have you tried installing on of the GPS scripts from the development forum to see if it improves reception?
I dont understand it either but it does. Without one I get almost instant lock on and 6m error and with it back on it goes up to 90m!
I am now using a mesh case from ebay
Similar to the barely there case but mesh

Root shouldn't matter. I would consider a warranty replacement.
so which one did you like best?

This is OT or barely a tangent, but which one did you like the best? I ordered an Otterbox Commuter over the weekend; it hasn't arrived yet but now I'm wondering if I should have researched a few more first

Otterbox Commuter is my hands-down favorite. Not too bulky, offers good protection, and makes the phone (IMO) look better. The only thing I did not like about the case was the rubber "door" at the bottom that protects the USB and audio ports because it would never stay put, so I ended up cutting it off.
with another case or caseless I get 6m lock with the amzer jelly it jumps to 30 to 90m

Mine finally arrived yesterday and I love it; I also bought my mom one for her Captivate for Mom's Day, but that particular model didn't turn out so nice, with some gapping of the flexible skin and a hard case that doesn't go around all sides. So maybe we got lucky with ours? As far as the door on the bottom goes, I figured out that if you bend it in the middle it'll pop in and stay, so I won't cut mine off
Im one of those compulsive idiots that buys every new case he can find until he finds what he likes the best. Ive owned 2 Incipios, 2 Casemates, a BodyGlove, and tried the Bodyguardz Armor. Well I saw this case come up and immediately snagged it, and IT IS BY FAR THE BEST CASE I HAVE HAD for my Sensation. Does it keep it really thin, NO but it doesnt add as much bulk as some others. Grip EXCELLENT, Cosmetically Excellent, and I think Protection wise it's as good as they come. Man this TRIDENT AEGIS is a great case.....just sayin
Now to continue my search for the best screen protector

Yeah, I'm really interested in this case also. However I'm stuck between the Case-Mate Tough Case and Trident Aegis.
Which Case-Mate do you have?
I haven't had the chance to post comparison pics and a review but I have the Seidio Active Case and the Trident case. I'm leaning towards prefering the Seidio though. It's a little slimmer and more refined. I'll see uf I can post comparison pics tomorrow.

Is WiFi, cell signal or GPS affected by this case that you've noticed so far?

Is it as durable as the Trident?
Yes pics or it didn't happen. At least take a pic of the case itself with the phone. LOL

Got mine last week and so far it doesn't seem to interfere with signals. I paid particular attention to wifi and gps and case on or off the reception seems very similar. As for cell signal, I think the radio in the sensation is a bit weaker than i am used to in general but the case hasn't made this any worse.
Overall I love the case, expecially the fact that the back is not completely covered in hard plastic, allowing for a better grip on the phone as well as the cool design overall.

And the noise cancellation works just fine
I feel the Seidio Active is more durable than the Tridente because the silicone section is a little floppy on the top. The hard plastic section doesn't grip the silicone as much or as securely as the Seidio Active.

Hey guys. My parents both ordered sensations moving from their Samsung galaxy ace phones and they told me that they want a stylus and a case.
I would just like to hear your recommended styluses and cases.
Thanks

If your looking for a case with pretty good drop protection get a ballistic, I dropped my phone a couple of times and it is still perfectly fine. The only down side to it is that it adds some bulk like most cases do. I personally don't use a stylus, so I can't recommend anything for that.
Do you notice a loss of WiFi by about 1 or 2 bars? I had that when I had a fairly thin case.

The rom I'm using doesn't update my wifi bars to well but speed and bars are the same, with or without the case on.

i couldn't belive what you were saying... tried 20 times.. it's true!!!!
Seidio Surface
I personally love the seidio surface case. It si reasonably thin and provides pretty good protection. On top of that it has a nice matte finish which makes it feel a lot more secure in the hand. It is a 2 piece slider case so its pretty sturdy also. I can't post a link because im a new member but just search for the case on google. I bought mine for about $25 on amazon.
Don't use a stylus so i don't have any recommendations for that.
I just got my new HTC inspire 4g and was wondering what case would best protect my phone from drops , cracks , ext ...
using xda app-developers app
It's a fairly personal choice on cases. You can browse eBay and amazon to see if there are any you like. For protection many go with an otterbox commuter or defender. I've used a casemate tough on my inspire for a couple years now and its suited me perfectly.

I have to agree that these three cases are definitely the way to go. However, based off the title of the thread, I would recommend to stay away from the Defender as it is rather bulky. This is where many typically go with the commuter case. I will definitely agree with the CaseMate Tough case though. It does not add a lot of bulk and it has outstanding grip. The commuter series tends to be kind of slick because of the outer plastic, but Casemate remedied this by using a nicely textured plastic that works great for gripping.
Hello,
I've come across this case on ebay, which is a bumper + gorilla glass back cover from what I understand.
~I can't post external links because of my post meter, so just search ebay for "Luphie Metal Bumper Gorilla Glass Cover Slim Case for Samsung Galaxy S6 /S6 Edge".
It looks amazing imo, wondering if anyone know anything about that case.
It pretty much preserves the original looks of the phone which I love, I wonder if it does protect it in case it falls though.
Metal bumpers will kill your GPS completely and (slightly) decrease your cellular signal when it's on.
I don't have this one, but I bought a different metal bumper.
I would love to hear from someone with actual experience with this case if the above statements are true. This is a pretty sweet looking case!
The Rhino Shield will do that for you ~ They have pretty high protection (4 meters free fall!) without any bulk.
You can find here: http://www.evolutivelabs.com/collections/rhino-shield-products-for-samsung-galaxy-s6
Its pre-order but they ship this week
Yes, but the RhinoShiels isn't as pretty! I still wonder about the real world use of this one.
I ordered the case the OP is referring to. I will make a thread when it arrives.
looks great, keep us posted, bro.
BTW, I have a metal bumper case, and it works well.

I can completely verify this. I have a Verus Iron Shield case and while it's a premium feeling case, my GPS signal is **** and I'm REALLY noticing the signal loss problems. I'm actually in the market to find a replacement case because the issue is so bad.

Bummer! I have the spigen neo hybrid, and it's very similar to the verus in looks, but doesn't kill the signal. The "bumper" around the edge is plastic.

No they have two different products, the metal one and plastic. I have both.
Anyone has any feedback yet?
I got one of those metal bumpers for the edge. They are super nice quality. Will impact signal slightly. They look epic but are very sharp, literally. Didn't feel comfortable, but it was also the edge phone so our could have been that too.
