TnT 5.0 and Angry Birds - G Tablet General

Hi all, I just upgraded to 5.0 and re-loaded Angry Birds using Titanium back-up. When I went to launch the program I got a "Foce Close" error. I tried going to the market to get a more up to date version which I hoped would fix the issue, but after confirming it installed I realized it did not (still getting "Force Close" on program launch). I even went as far as re-loading 5.0 starting with 3588 but that yeilded the same results. I did wipe cache and format user partition so I don't believe those could be causing the fault.
any assistance it appreciate.

When I went to TnT Lite 5.0.0, I had to uninstall the version of Angry Birds that was included with the rom, and restore with the version I backed up on Titanium Backup (both app + data) prior to the start of the 3588 / TnT Lite 5.0.0 update.

CM6.1 Beta 3 + Flash + Market?

Ok, I've read all the different threads here and also over on tregratab.com and can't seem to come up with the solution here.
I can get CM6.1 Beta 3 and flash or market to work, but I can't get all three.
So If I wipe data, flash CM6.1 Beta 3, I'm not able to install flash from the apk in the other thread. Works fine in tnt lite. So I wipe data, install tnt lite, install the flash, and then without wiping data I flash the cm6.1 on top of that. Works great, everything seems to be very smooth, 36 linpack, and 2665 quadrant if those mean anything. The flash player caries over from the tnt lite when I do this, and the flash is super smooth too. Can even play bejeweled blitz on facebook and score in 260K range, not lagging at all. Videos play awesome as well.
So now that that's working, I try to flash the latest gapps, tnt keyboard zip, and it flashes, and reboots, but no google apps work, they all start up and close right away. I noticed in other roms I had to go in and force quit google services framework and wipe data in titanium to get the market to work, but for some reason at this point when I look in settings>apps>all> I can't find the google services framework.
If I go wipe the data / factory reset in clockwork again, then reboot all of the sudden if I look in the apps I see the google services framework and the market works great, but now my flash is uninstalled again. I can't run the apk, says app not installed. And I also can't restore it via titanium?
Anyone else have all three of these things working. I've been monkeying around for quite a few hours with the cm6.1 with flash, and no market and it's really flying. Just wish I could get the market going too.
I just want to know how you got the flash to work. im currently running tnt lite 2.0.
O and will CM 6.1 beta 2 work with flash. if so how did you get CM 6.1 to install.

[Q] Boot loop on 3.11

I have searched for this problem in the GTab forum and was unable to find a re-occurrence.
So last night I just updated from 3.10 to 3.11. I went to run a benchmark test and it and quadrant kept on crashing when trying to show results. I then rebooted the device and was caught in a boot loop (just replaying the "nexus 1" screen) over and over. I then did a restore back to 2.5 (stupidly, my last backup I had done). Now I am stuck with a process error. "Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". So I was going to just do a full restore (wipe the system and start from scratch) and now I cannot even get into system settings to do so. I need some help! I am in a bit over my head on this situation.
Thanks in advance.
**UPDATE**
After a Titanium backup restore, it appears to be back to normal and faster then ever...running 3.10. Time to update to 3.11 and call it a night.
You were able to sideload Titanium Backup?
How did you accomplish that?
I downloaded it using a Windows 7 computer, copied it from my download folder to the root of my tablet's internal memory -- I think, I didn't have any external cards in it that I saw --(where I normally ran update.zip from) and then loaded up the file explorer included in TNT Lite...
Only thing I get stuck with is, like you, a boot-looping tablet.
Well I have tnt lite 3.11 with the market fix and I was able to get it straight from there. It worked great as a solution to my problem and fixed everything.

Family accounts still broken in TnT Lite 5.0.0

Reported but not fixed here and by me here.
Summary, went from stock to TnT Lite 4.2.0 then up to 4.2.5 yesterday. Attempting to create a new family account causes a force close. Performed a wipe and reflash but the issue persisted. Saw 5.0.0, seeing it was a major update I performed a factory wipe and loaded per instructions. Device hung as per instructions requiring a second wipe through recovery. This worked and booted up. Family accounts force close issue persists.
Also performed the suggested RM permissions fix.
Just a guess, but this functionality relies on the Contacts.apk, which TNT Lite replaces. Perhaps the Google stock replacement needs to be removed for you.
I honestly don't use this functionality, so I would consider it broken / unusable in TNTL. You could actually try a customized ROM - it's not that hard to do. In your case, all you'd want to do is remove the two Contacts apks in any TNTL ZIP (it's in /system/app in the ROM) and reflash. That could fix your issue - again, just a guess.

i can confirm that it worked for me in tnt lite 4.25 when i erased contacts from /system/app in the zip!
This also worked for 5.0.0
TnT 5.0
I installed Tnt lite 5.0.0 on a new G tab after getting viewsonic's over the air ROM upgrade and everything works fine.
I've never owned an Android device before, and I'm not a hacker. I cant believe how easy TnT lite 5.0 was to install and how great the G tab is with this installed. Thanks to Roebeet and everyone else who worked on this!

Robeet,
You mentioned 2 contacts.apks in any TNTL ZIP (it's in /system/app in the ROM), but when I open the ZIP I see only one. What am I missing?
Thanks

P6210 - Strange issue with Titanium Backup after upgrading to ICS

I have run into a strange issue with Titanium Backup and integrating update system apps into the system rom. Ever since I upgraded my P6210 to ICS and re-rooted it, the Play Store and Titanium Backup seem to be at odds over my updated system apps. Recently both Peel and Google + have been updated through the Play Store. Both of these apps are system apps on my system. After their update, Titanium Backup recognized that they were newer versions and did the proper backup to my SDCard. I then went to the batch listings in Titanium Backup and saw that both apps were listed under "Integrate updates of system apps into ROM" (which they should have been). I ran that batch update and as far as I can tell Titanium Backup properly performed the integration. The apps were no longer listed on the sdcard and Titanium Backup no longer listed any apps that needed to be integrated into the system ROM. The apps also worked without any problems. Here is the strange thing though. I can go back into the Play Store and it once again shows that those two apps need to be updated on my tab. The version numbers between what the Play Store says needs to be updated and what is installed on my tab are identical. If I just do the update but do not perform the integration into the system ROM, the Play Store shows that I have the most recent version installed. Once I do an integration though Titanium Backup, the Play Store will once again tell me I need to update these system apps. This only started happening after the upgrade to ICS. Everything worked perfectly before the upgrade. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Any suggestions or ideas?

Restoring with Titanium Backup on 4.3

Guys, I would absolutely appreciate some help in working something out. I'm trying to restore both Need for Speed Most Wanted and Plants Vs. Zombies on CM 10.2 but it's just not working out. In the case of PVZ I had made all my progress on a 4.2.2 rom and then attempted to restore it with TiBu but after it's done if you tap the icon it opens but then immediately force closes. The same happens with NFS:MW with the difference being that I had made all my progress while on CM 10.2. I flashed a new CM 10.2 nightly, restored both apps, and both will open for a second then close. If I download both apps fresh from the playstore they boot up fine. I tried downloading the apps from the playstore then restoring just data but I get the same thing. I know the issue must have something to do with EAs DRM scheme but I don't know how to get around it. I managed to restore my data on NFS:MW with an altered .apk I found but I don't want to have to pirate games that I legitimately bought. FYI I went back to CM 10.1 to see if the games would restore completely and they do. I don't know what else to try, please help!
Hello, I am having the same issue. I think that it has to do with our android device ID's. Every time you wipe and flash a new rom, you are assigned a new id. Which would make sense because you say you can restore fine from your backup... This is because your backup is restoring your old android device id. I remember seeing an option somewhere in tb to restore previous android device id. This may be the solution. I hope it works, I am not willing to start nfs over again. Already have once. Good luck!
