Does anyone know what ROMs for G2x support USB host mode and how to enable it?
I'm running a pretty recent CM7 nightly but it doesn't seem to work.
Hello there.... i'm back again with another GINORMOUS problem...
I have a U8150 Ideos and it had been running the FUSIONideos rom for a while - i decided to try out CM7 Gingerman.
I have clockwork recovery installed from my rom manager....
so i boot into recovery -and make a backup first. then i wipe all the data and install the CM7 nightly build alongside G.apps so that i can get the initial setup screen.
Everything is as smooth as butter - i got all my stuff back on the phone - all my apps, contacts etc etc...
only thing is that i can't seem to connect to USB
whenever i plug it in it detects Ideos as a CD Drive or sometimes doesn't even bother and installs a bunch of crap like ADB interface and all that stuff - my mobile partner is also gone and i am having problems finding the USB driver for this phone.
when i tried switching to any other rom the USB works just fine!!
i even tried it on 2 other computers - No Luck!!
can anyone help me resolve this problem?
i can USB from recovery mode but - it takes too long
i am currently running the latest CM7 Nightly

Thanks there pal - that does calm me down a bit but what exactly does tethering mean? - if anyone could explain and list out any possible steps on how to tether my phone i would really appreciate it - i am a bit of a n00b with hacking and stuff.
fyi - i tried searching google on how to tether but i am getting really confused.
Thanks Anyway =D
EDIT: I figured it out - THANKS ALOT!!
Sorry, I do not know much english
1. connect USB cable to phone
2. settings -> wireless & networks -> tethering & portable hotspot -> USB tethering - on
3. wait driver installation.
4. USB tethering - off
5. USB connected -> turn on USB storare
works in Windows (XP & 7)
good luck
on cm10 when I check usb tether, windows will begin installing drivers, but the usb tether will uncheck itself and cause the drivers to not install, hence me not being able to tether.. is this a problem with cm10? or ics? im looking for a rom that will allow me to usb tether.
Hello - need some help, if someone could please be so kind.
I'm not new to BT5, or AWUS036H, but I am new to getting my Xoom running BT5 to recognize my AWUS036H.
I'm running :
Motorola Xoom
JB 4.2.2 with EOS JDQ39 Nightly 190
BT5 installed
kernet 2.6.39.4-EOS4-00076-g90d9b46

I can get BT5 to load, but can't get it to recognize my AWUS036H
I have an OTG adapter Female, than will recognize a USB thumb drive, however, when I connect this to cable to the cable that came with my ALFA, it doesn't appear to power the adapter or recognize it.
First dumb question - do I need a USB Hub?
2nd dumb question - how can I tell if my Xoom running BT5 has the drivers installed?
I've even disabled the onboard wireless as I heard that can cause conflicts.
Those are all of the dumb questions I have come up with right now.
I know other have done this, and if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I've been reading the XDA Developer forums for a few weeks now and I could not find a answer to this question, so if its out there, please go easy on me, and point me to the post that specifies how to connect the AWUS036H via an OTG cable, that will allow ifconfig to recognize the adapter.
Thank you all.
Guys, I recently installed the PAC-man ROM, the problem is that when I connect a OTG 5 in 1 kit, it won't detect. Can someone help me?
I installed USB Host controller and it says that "S3C USB Host driver NOT found!". And also, I can not connect with my cellular data.
I need help regarding this.
Can I change the kernel so that I can use the OTG?
