[Q] Motorola Xoom, JB 4.2.2 with BT5 - how to use AWUS036H - General Questions and Answers

Hello - need some help, if someone could please be so kind.
I'm not new to BT5, or AWUS036H, but I am new to getting my Xoom running BT5 to recognize my AWUS036H.
I'm running :
Motorola Xoom
JB 4.2.2 with EOS JDQ39 Nightly 190
BT5 installed
kernet 2.6.39.4-EOS4-00076-g90d9b46

I can get BT5 to load, but can't get it to recognize my AWUS036H
I have an OTG adapter Female, than will recognize a USB thumb drive, however, when I connect this to cable to the cable that came with my ALFA, it doesn't appear to power the adapter or recognize it.
First dumb question - do I need a USB Hub?
2nd dumb question - how can I tell if my Xoom running BT5 has the drivers installed?
I've even disabled the onboard wireless as I heard that can cause conflicts.
Those are all of the dumb questions I have come up with right now.
I know other have done this, and if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I've been reading the XDA Developer forums for a few weeks now and I could not find a answer to this question, so if its out there, please go easy on me, and point me to the post that specifies how to connect the AWUS036H via an OTG cable, that will allow ifconfig to recognize the adapter.
Thank you all.

[Q] Used G Tablet

Hello,
I just received a used g tablet I purchased online.
From what I can tell the tablet has Vegan v1.0.0B5.1 installed android 2.2.
Here are my problems upon turning on the tablet. Cannot connect to wifi, starts then disconnects.
Plugged in the usb cable , tablet not recognized by laptop does not see it as a separate drive.
should I return this G Tablet or is there a way to fix this.
The previous owner told me he wiped the tablet to get all his info off but i think he went about it the wrong way.
Any advise?
In order for the lap top to recognize the device you will need to download the driver for g-slate to the lap top
Sent from my LG-V909 using XDA App
Can anyone point me to a link with the driver, I am having no luck
Okay, I found the driver,
If anyone can post directions on how to get the driver installed on windows 7 i would be greatful
If you talk about adb driver then here is the link:

Using adb you can have access to android os from your laptop. But for your tablet looks like USB disk your don't need driver. When you connect USB - android will ask : do you want to activate USB share?
You tap yes and your laptop will see internal sdcard as USB drive.

[Q] Use a PC for tethering

Hi everybody.
I have a typical but reverse question.
I don't know if this is the best place for make this question, but i want try.
I would know if it's possible to use the wi fi of a PC (on linux or windows) and share this wi fi with another pc linked on USB ( with a male-male USB cable).
Sorry if i have wrong section or forum.
Thanks for responce
You probably already know this but you can tether WiFi from phone to PC via Bluetooth/USB. I tested it yesterday. WiFi hotspot though uses mobile data only
International S III 16GB / Dualboot 4.1.2 Stock & Cyanogenmod 10.1 / Gokhan's SK
Why not just get a USB wifi adapter for the second PC ?

Need help on my P3100

Guys, I recently installed the PAC-man ROM, the problem is that when I connect a OTG 5 in 1 kit, it won't detect. Can someone help me?
I installed USB Host controller and it says that "S3C USB Host driver NOT found!". And also, I can not connect with my cellular data.
I need help regarding this.
Can I change the kernel so that I can use the OTG?

[Completed] Help Required! Galaxy tab 2 10.1

Hello, I got a samsung galaxy tab 2. I am very new to rotting and all that, i rooted the tablet using this guide and it has worked
droidviews.com/root-samsung-galaxy-tab-2-10-1-wifi-gt-p5110-on-android-4-1-1-jelly-bean-firmware/
I am trying to accomplish two things with it:
One- Getting the OTG to work with it. It didnt work straight away with the adapter and I have had little luck finding a soloution. THe app USB OTG checker says I have the usb otg api, but when i plug in a usb drive it dosent recognise it. I think i may have to install a "Kernal" to fix this but i don'y know how to find one that is compatible and will work. (I am doing this for my mum so she can use a usb drive and i dont want to brick it)
Two- this is the main goal, to get ethernet connectivity on the tablet, i think the otg will have to be fixed first but i am not sure. I cant get it to work and apps that enable the ethernet connectivity like:
google.com/store/apps/details?id=xda.usbhost.test&hl=en
Require some kernal. I have su and busybox installed already.
I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 GT-P5110 with android version 4.1.1 and kernal version 3.0.31 - 523998
Thank you very much if you can help me
Hi
As far as I can see, OTG support is already present with your tablet.

The best way to check possibility of USB ethernet is to ask in Q/A section
