[Q] SMS to SIM app? - Android Apps and Games

Hey guys,
I'm looking to ditch my Desire in a month or two for a Samsung Focus, the only problem is that I want to save a LOT of my SMS messages to my SIM card, but haven't found one solution to this. I've searched around for an app that can export all of my messages to my SIM (not just one-by-one), but haven't found anything. I know there's apps that export your SMS stuff to the microSD card, but I'm pretty sure the only way to retrieve your old SMS messages on Windows Phone 7 (at least from vacating another OS) is to grab them from your SIM card. I've looked around and have found some Gmail apps that backup your messages to your Gmail account, but that is not what I'm looking for.
If any of you guys can give some advice on how to do this, please respond as soon as you can. I really would hate to lose 3800 messages.
Thanks!

Deleted Numbers

I had a question regarding deleted numbers on my treo 700wx. Since that phone isn't listed on here I was unsure where to post this so mods feel free to move it. To my question, is there any way to retrive deleted numbers from the memory of my phone? The reason I ask is because I've received a few text messages from people that I've deleted from my contacts but when I receive the message, it'll say their name like if their info was still in my phonebook when it's not. Is that something I can access to see numbers that I've deleted? Thanks, any help will be appreciated. BTW, I have the Palm Threaded SMS app installed so maybe that might have something to do with it since the deleted people who text me used to text me too when they were in my phonebook.

they may be on your sim, the default is for wm to not show sim contacts in the contacts screen
Unfortunately I have Sprint in the US so its CDMA, no sim card. I really think that it has something to do with the Palm Threaded SMS app from the Treo 750

i have no idea what any of that is
but my other thought would be this: whenever you delete anything, the computer doesn't overwrite the data, it just deletes the user's ability to access it, and only when a large enough file is saved does it eventually get overwritten. so maybe the computer (phone) can still see the data?

SMS storage Problem

hi @ll,
i got a HTC TOUCH running the original windows mobile 6.0 rom. Since a few days i want to use the google calendar app and i made an interesting experience: all messages from google are saved to the sim - only the google messages. any other sms i receive is stored in the phones memory.
i tried to solve the problem alone, but i couldn't do it.
has anyone an idea how i can save the messages sent by google to the phones memory?
thanks for answering

[Q] Move SMS from android to WP7

So is that possible? If yes, how?
Also contacts, they transfer with the sim card because I have saved all my contacts to my sim card?
I'm not sure its possible to do that, since there is not native way to back up and save your current WP7 text messages. I doubt there would be a way to transfer ones from anywhere.
However for contacts, since you have an Android phone you most likely have a Google account. Just sign in with your account on your WP7 device and it will all sync like magic.
Behold, the cloud.
WP7 doesn't have SMS backup? wow... Well, that sucks, I really don't want to lose all my messages, some of them are really important and bring back good memories...

You must be really attached to those texts. You know all the naughty pics you can just send back to yourself.
No nothing like that XD there's just some messages that I really want to keep... Even though I usually don't read my old messages I just want to keep them as memories
Yes,
it's been a while, but the subject's still up-to-date.
Same thing here. I'd just like to move from Windows Mobile 6.5.
From Exchange 2010 it's possible to sync text messages between the phone and the server. But it appears that goes only for messages which arrive AFTER the sync setup. I haven't found a way to make the phone upload older texts to the server.
Also I don't think a new phone would download all past text messages from the server after pairing.
There's poll to make Microsoft implement a way: http://wpdev.uservoice.com/forums/110705-app-platform/suggestions/1901813-sms-backup?ref=title
That's the only thing preventing me to move to WP7. Most awesome would be if PIMbackup would provide a way. I've asked the programer via mail if he saw a way, but I haven't gotten any response.
If I had no other choice I would forward those SMS messages to my self some how either through email or someother method. Just an idea.
Basically a nice idea. Unfortunately sender numbers and timestamps would be lost :-(
With multiple hundred messages that's important data for me.
But thanks for the idea!

How do I back up SMS threads and contacts?

I haz searched and cannot find an easy solution on backing up SMS and contacts to switch to an iPhone or Android device. I don't want to dev unlock the phone or anything. It's a Lumia 710 I am selling on the MP and I just need to back up SMS and contacts to a format that Android could read later.
Any way to do this easily?
I found this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=947674
which I will try, but I am worried about the SMS too which I can't figure out.
SMS backup is not possible
I am pretty sure that WP7 itself does not offer something to backup SMS, and there can't be any normal, regular app (i.e. for a phone that is not unlocked) backing up SMS, because WP7 does not allow apps access to the SMS store.

I got the contacts, on the SMS thing, how hard is it to unlock the device and use something to back it up?
I only used WP7 on my HD2 really and don't know about some of the nuances. All of the roms came unlocked so yeah...

I need help retrieving my google account information

Hi I am Pamela. I have retrieved my original email from a gmail forum unfortunately they didn't give me my password kust a password reset..I have the original and a backup sd card with the original sim card..I was using hangouts and mms which was sms and mms messages without transferring from one to the other..How can I retrieve my hangouts and mms/sms from my android phone gs3 4.2.2..I had a 4.3 but they sent me a refurbished 4.2.2 without paying attention. I backed up everything to cloud and they have no idea where my messages went. They blame google because its hangouts. I have 250thousand text messages from 1/5/2014 until now..I was able to retrieve some with sms backup and restore. Unfortunately the most important ones are from 1/5-2014/1/6/2015..1/5/2014/to 12/30/2014 are very important.
I am still lost in all this unfortunately I am no expert. That's why I came to the experts. .I'm grasping from every angle for 2 years of retrieving a gmail which they did but left me the new password reset so I could put my new phone number in..I have an account online that found 145 thousand text messages but I can't get in without the password to reset it. Gcloud..Verizon blames google because its hangouts it came with my phone I had to install on this one and its an 4.2.2 instead of the one I bought 4.3..I would be so grateful for any help.Pamela
I have to take my phone to someone that understands my serious issues I cant do this anymore I feel as if im a burden and I am because i don't understand.
