[Q] HTC Wildfire S Hangs

Hi xda-developer team
I'm very glad that you all are helping ppl through this Forum
I owe a new HTC Wildfire S with Android version 2.3.3
HTC Sense 2.1
Software number 1.35.720.3
My phone keeps on Hanging, when ever i try to unlock it after long time.. and it mainly hangs when I try to pick up a call or exit after the call ends..
Its very irritating .. 3 days before i factory restored my cell but no use and today I did a hard reset.
Please help me on this and give me some solution. Thanks...

Hi there, I am having the same problem. It always freezes for about 4 seconds especially when unlocking the phone, so that would be time to answer a call and sometimes I miss the call.
Everything else works, no problem with the touch screen.
Things I've done.
I think the problem could also possibly have started after I got the phone S-OFF via XTC CLIP, can that have any sort of negative impact?
I am assuming this because the first few days I didn't have this problem.
Factory reset: same problem.
Flashed to default HTC ROM: same problem.
Please advice.

[Q] Can't answer call when locked

In the last few weeks (after the upgrade to 2.3.4 1.50.401.1) i have trouble answering incoming calls when the phone is in "suspend" mode.
The lock screen comes up but it's totally frozen untill i reject the call with the power button or it's cut.
It only seems to happen when i haven't used the phone for a long time.
This i really annoying because i use the phone for work and most of the time i only see my extention it's being forwarded from and have no idea who called.
Any ideas?
The phone is stock, factory reset has been done and the little metal plate has been pulled out..
Another "funny" thing is that i'm missing the option in Accessibility > Power button ends call…

May be it is time for you to root your phone and try custom ROM ;-). I hardly used my phone with stock ROM for a week. The software was buggy. I had raised a complaint with HTC and they asked me to do factory reset. That is the standard answer.

Waiting for a stable ICS ROM, thinking about going to CM but would miss the sense lockscreen.

I have this problem as well, even with Android Revolution HD custom rom. First it appeared on stock rom, and for that reason I rooted and installed Revolution HD. Now, after the screen has been off about 15 minutes the problem is back. Seems like this one only appears when the phone hasnt been used for some minutes.

Its a kernel problem. Atleast.. thats what I've heard.
I had this with Bricked kernel, now i'm on stock and dont have the problem anymore. Only thing is it gets HOT fast!

I still have this problem on my HTC Sensation XE with the last firmware and Android Revolution HD 6.6.2 ROM...
I normally install that ROM with stock kernel and without Bravia support.
Does someone has an idea to fix this problem on incoming calls?

One year later... same problem with last android revolution hd for XE...

htc sensation touchscreen suddenly stooped ! is it any ics bug ??

htc sensation touchscreen suddenly stooped to work and some unpredicted behavior
On last night after my phone hang and now i m not able to receive call not even by hand-free and strange thing is when some one calling no ring and screen almost stuck on in coming call screen and if call disconnected from caller not showing miss call wtf ?
I DID HARD RESET (both) , Flashed almost 8,9 roms after super CID(s-off) but still no luck can any one suggest me is this software related ? or any type hardware fail ? start up tone working but not incoming tone i think if touch screen is fail then in coming call and ring must able to work

Sounds like you are having hardware issues my friend. More than likely a cpu problem to be exact seeing as you are having multiple issues. Best advice i can give you is if it is still under warranty contact HTC and request they do some warranty work on the device. But make sure you revert back to S-ON with locked bootloader and thew stock ROM. If you have flashed several different ROMs and the problem is still there it has top be hardware.

Same thing happened to my previous Sensation, i just got a new one and now WiFi is not working?
Maybe i should have gone with a different phone, too late now

[Q] AT&T HTC One x gets switched off while in call, help needed

I recently bought AT&T HTC one x unlocked from Amazon and it was all fine until when i started getting this problem, My phone gets switched off while im in call. It seems that the new msgs i get while im in call makes my phone switch off. It happens most of the times like 9 out of 10 times. Can somebody help me. I don't want to move from the stock and probably i cant because my software build is in 2.20.xx

Run a logcat then have somebody call you. That may give us a better lead....

[Q] Unlock-touch Problem

My htc chacha worked almost pefectly within its warranty period. But after that,it started with it's touch screen not responding well. Now it has come to the extend that,the ring that is needed to be pulled up to unlock the screen is also not working. The unlock ring is kind of flickering when attempted to be pulled up. I can't even see the phone main menu! Guys please help me out here.

It is most probably a hardware issue. You need to replace touch screen digitizer. The same thing happened to me. The top half of the screen didn't respond to touch.

Thnx a lot. But do u think unlocking the boot loader will help in any way? And there's an another issue, when I attempt to check for updates online, it says that my phone is up to date, whereas my phone's Android version is 2.3.3 ????

Hey pal,,online update dont change the rom-it updates your software version,,,u have to change your rom to 2.3.5

It don't seem to be a software problem... check your Touch Cable and if your problem also continue, maybe you should change your Touch Screen.

open the set.....applied CTC to the main board and all parts..
dried out everything..
its working gr8 now..
gave a full service
