Donation Poll

Hello.
I've been helped by xda-developers and it's members a few times, specially in elf and kaiser subjects.
I'm sure there are lots of people who should get a donation, for my part This were the first 10 (max in a poll) I tought of:

POF
duttythroy
jcespi2005
ponch92
Swiftblade
sirsycho
nomelaseS (spanish elf rom)
LEO (creator of htc cube I use)
Chainfire
Sure I'm missing lots more.
What I want to do is this. You people vote who should I donate more. Each vote is $1USD. At the end I'll donate to these people according to your votes.
The more users that vote, the more the donation and in a democratic way.
Clauses:
- I'll donate minimum $100USD (I would use percentage)
- I'll donate maximum $300USD (I would use percentage times three) but may me more.
- If it's between those sums, the number of votes
- Poll Ends February 14 (almost a whole month)
- Donations on 15 perhaps as late as 20 of feb
- Just one vote per person (consider who deserves more recognition).
- Apart from votes I may add a bit more depending on my experience.
- If some one gets less than $15USD I may omit it. Not sure yet.

I dont paritculary feel this is necessary... Some people do not ask for donations and some do. Some people do this for fun and dont want donations as they dont feel they should recieve compensation for a hobby...
Here is the best advice i can give you on donations...
If you feel like you want to donate to someone then offer it to them directly. If they refuse the offer or the donation then make a donation to xda. well all work hand in hand and whether you donate to a person or to xda for providing us all a place, or help other members, either way you help to strengthen the community.

Yes I know, many post like this will come, there are many people who has gave a lot to this community, many more than 10 which is the most the poll accepts. But I don't spend much time here and don't know well everybody's aportation.
In this particular case, (elf upgrading, etc), few would know nomaless, I wanted to flash a touch to spanish, Nomaless got it and he explained me how.

Well, i've did that once.
But you see... I feel like donating a lot to everybody... but I don't have a that much to donate. So I got to think how much to donate? Couldn't tell, so got this Idea which might make some one else donate too.
I believe all of those accepts donation, i see a lot of "if you like what I do please donate to [email protected]".

Recently, I've been seeing lots of moaning around ROMs, and I wanted to do something that means we can all give something back to us.
Devs work very hard around the clock for us, and sometimes it's easy to just moan and moan about bugs, feature requests, or asking for ETAs.
So, this week, join us to celebrate all the hard work that devs do for us and THANK YOUR DEV!
What Can I Do?
We want you to get in touch with your dev, by Twitter, email or PM, and tell them why you love their ROM so much.
These are email addresses that devs have sent us so far so that you can thank them:

We need a logo!

Guys Krylon360 could Use a hand From Us..
We may be seeing REAL Development Coming to Our Device real soon, Developer Krylon360 (Who ported CWM for Us) wants to help with Development. We all Know he can only do so much without an actual Sidekick 4G at hand. He May be able to get the device in a couple weeks or so, But he'd be able to get his hands on it much faster with some help from us. This is really for those who really want development on this phone and see our phone match up to the rest, and appreciate the helping hand Krylon is giving us. Even a small "thankyou" donation, for his work on our CWM that he offered to help with even though he didnt have the device, could help speed things up a bit. It would also show him how serious we are about development. If you're like me and support what he's doing for us, and give him a little hand with getting our phone, you'd be bringing development to the SK4G much faster. No one "Needs" to donate but it would be nice cause it shows our appreciation for helping us get our phones to a state where it meets our standards. Most likely he has something planned for this phone so im just trying to help him get it sooner, so can you. While we're donating to devs, donate to drhonk, he's given us the Bali Kernel, and later today will give us the lagfix we've all been waiting for. He doesn't have the SK4G, so he can't really do as much as he wants to in developing for this.

Looking forward everything he made for us this last months, I really appreciate the all he does for helping our community without receiving anything for it, even if he is not a I9003 owner, so here's the question: Should we begin donations to help him get a I9003?
I just contacted him by PM, asking him what happened to his I9003 (actually I thought he had one because o the great stuff he does for us) and he told me my mistake: He is not a I9003 owner.
Here I leave you the PM and you decide if it's necessary for us or not, and if we can make him a I9003 owner to help us even more

That's the spirit! Right now we have to see if people accept to contribute, come on guys, this would be very helpful for I9003 community

I dont know that how many members will now get ready for donation but I will surely help u. As I am student & as I already donated to doomlord I cant donate at least for now. After finishing my exams I will surely donate in december months if sufficient number of members are get ready which will be quite hard. But dont loose hopes. I am with u.

It is true that people just donated for DoomLord SCL, and we are not rich people, but i am sure that in december we will have enough to buy a phone for fuss. We dont have to carry up, we have time to get the money and this guy did a lot for us HAVING NO PHONE. So his development was only for as, not for him...

Totally true man, no hurry, but as soon as we begin we'll end sooner so, basing in procedure with doomlord donations, can people who WANT to donate to tell the possible amount to make an aproximated number of money we can collect?

I would like to contribute about 5 €

dont take wrong guys but a small suggestion is there. Still we have not completed donation amount that we have to donate to doomlord. He brought device by adding 20% from his pocket instead of just 10% which he had mentioned. I mean to say we should first complete donation amount of doomlord then we can concentrate here. It will not look good that doomlord is taking efforts for us by adding his own money for us. I hope u understand what I mean.

Hi All,
I started a post here. I'm an official dev from the CM team. I'd like to pick this device up to help support this device and bring it into the fold as an official device. One problem, I'm broke right now, due to the arrival of my new baby that should be here, well, any miinute, hour, or day.
I'm turning to the community for help to acquire a device to be able to dev with. My goal would to raise enough money to purchase 2 tf700t's, one for myself and another for one of the other ASUS devs within in the CM dev team. It will be much easier to have 2 or more devs working on porting the device completely. I'd like to have a goal of one device a month over the next two months. This "seems" feasible, although time will tell.

I clicked on the CM page link and hit the donate button at the bottom. It never gave me the ability to put in a note, so I sent an email to the CM account with the confirmation number stating that it was for dasunsrule32 and the tf700t.

waht about tf300t ? the kernel on tf300t is updated, the the nightlies still dont run on this rom nor has a proper cwm being ported to reflect the chages the JB update brought about....

In a day almost 300 bucks

That device is already supported. Have you looked at get.cm? :laugh:

Ok, this is getting hard to track using the CM account. If you're using the CM account to donate. I need a PM with the amount donated, the time donated, confirmation # and location donated from. Thanks for the help in this area.
