Hey all
Looking forward everything he made for us this last months, I really appreciate the all he does for helping our community without receiving anything for it, even if he is not a I9003 owner, so here's the question: Should we begin donations to help him get a I9003?
I just contacted him by PM, asking him what happened to his I9003 (actually I thought he had one because o the great stuff he does for us) and he told me my mistake: He is not a I9003 owner.
Here I leave you the PM and you decide if it's necessary for us or not, and if we can make him a I9003 owner to help us even more

I dont know that how many members will now get ready for donation but I will surely help u. As I am student & as I already donated to doomlord I cant donate at least for now. After finishing my exams I will surely donate in december months if sufficient number of members are get ready which will be quite hard. But dont loose hopes. I am with u.
It is true that people just donated for DoomLord SCL, and we are not rich people, but i am sure that in december we will have enough to buy a phone for fuss. We dont have to carry up, we have time to get the money and this guy did a lot for us HAVING NO PHONE. So his development was only for as, not for him...

Totally true man, no hurry, but as soon as we begin we'll end sooner so, basing in procedure with doomlord donations, can people who WANT to donate to tell the possible amount to make an aproximated number of money we can collect?
I would like to contribute about 5 €
dont take wrong guys but a small suggestion is there. Still we have not completed donation amount that we have to donate to doomlord. He brought device by adding 20% from his pocket instead of just 10% which he had mentioned. I mean to say we should first complete donation amount of doomlord then we can concentrate here. It will not look good that doomlord is taking efforts for us by adding his own money for us. I hope u understand what I mean.

Many interested hackers simply don't have a I5800, we can't expect them to buy it so I don't think donations are that bad. I'd prefer to give my money to gsam and precurse though Let's wait for 2.2 and see what can be done.

As far as I know Android (c) is for free. I'm not sure if this step is according to google policy. Anyway - thanks for the proposal - I would like to use stable and light ROM + I would like to choose what to install on it.
I like signatures like "you can buy me a beer". But I do not like "if 800..." anyway - you didn't input a time period ...

I just want Samsung to give me a light and stable 2.2 ROM - because I have paid for it. Plus Android is for FREE. So ? Will he share his income with XDA and Google ? If not then it's not nice.

what is being asked here is like a sale being done ie it looks like asking a price for the services this is like a sale a donation is different it is given by one individual to another in appreciation of his work done and it is not asked as is the case here and doing so is against the forum rules & to my knowledge the I5800 is the cheapest phone in the market at least when i bought it it was
morality is a good think but a faster i5800 is an even better thing
I don't see anything wrong with motivating a very busy developer
for most people who can contribute,5-10€ is not the end of the world and they would rather pay this than having a crappy phone

i will not release rom or recovery that not tested by me.. because i think is dangerous..

So guys here is a chance to donate the price of a Galaxy Fit for tj_style so that he starts developing a Rom and a CWM for our device.
If interested , we could form a fund where each one contributes a sum fo money to be sent to tj_style so that he can buy the phone.

I have been seeing alot of people to donate tj_style from a couple of months ... but just can't understand where the whole money is goin.... galaxy mini owners were donating him from a really long time... galaxy fit owners are donating himm now... plz somebody tell me that whether the money he get till now after so many donations wasn't enough for him to buy a new device or what....

Go through the galaxy mini forum and see the amount of development he has done for the device...and the money he gets from the donation is for the time and hard work he invests in development...why the hell would he use that money to buy a device when we want him to develop for our device....

that forum too, he mentioned some prob with his own galaxy mini and people were giving donations to him so that he cud buy that galaxy mini again and continue his developing....... at that time too... he hasng shown any positive post that this much amount is more needed or very less donations or donations are enough to buy a new gmini.... he never shared any news and the accepted donations blindly without informing the truth... at that time too people needed him... so they were donating..... and donations on the base of his work was very very less(actually very minute) if u noticef carefully.... and now... situation is making an image of him in my mind that he is a serious game planner.... afterall who knows truth except he himself..... so... i don't recommend at all that the members of this forum should donate him..... coz how wud he know that how much money he collected from this forum n what else he collected on the base of his development.... there is no system like u can mention that u r donating him on this reason.... u can only provide feedback... n I believe making him buy our device for our benefits is like bribe-ing him....

developing 1 device that mean i should share my work and family time to developing that device.

GUYS what happened to all of you...??? Dont you want that our phone should get developement like other top developement phones like Galaxy s2 or Galaxy S??? Only CM7 or CF root is not enough guys. Poerting mods, themes can be done at any time guys but we all know that we really require a great kernal developer who will develope great kernals which will make phone snappier like never before. In galaxy S2 or Galaxy S section you will see tons of custom kernal which is done by them. In older days we had skin but now really we need to major step guys for our phone. Codeworkx already said that once ICS will release alll he will pay attention to GALAXY S & S2 phone. Then again we will be alone with our phone for long time. So guys please dont be restrict yourself upto some themes or mods. Dont make urself busy with new officially roms released by samsung. They can deeply reviwed by us later. But right now donation & more important KERNAL developement is more necessary.
I just want that u have to just donate a very small amount say like 200-300 Rs (5-6 $ USD) which we usually spend on some non-important things. If we donate today it will refund u in form of high level kernal development. So please I again & again requesting u to take some initiative. No other developer will come to help us. Unless & until they have phone in hand no developer can develop virtually for our phone. THINK GUYS SERIOUSLY ABOUT THIS PLEASE .

Hey everybody. We have already collected all the amount of money we needed to buy a phone to vurrut. We talked to the seller and he is contacting with vurrut to make last movements.
Everybody can think whatever about what I am going to say but I don't care, because everything is true.
I have recieved lots of private messages saying things like (don't worry I won't say your name)
I already donated to buy a phone to fuss, or DoomLord, or codeworkx or both... and now I see they are developing less than I expected.
Let me say you something... I donated for ALL of them, I thanks their work from the first for the last, I will also say that they are not our slaves, they don't get any money doing this, so stop requiring releases and start developing.
This is starting to be a big community (i9003) but some of the big have gone, and, as u know, nowadays we have 2 or 3 devs as much, no more (big thanks to them, tomorrow I would dontate for them if they had a problem) and I think it is important to conserve what we have. Vurrut is one of the greatest, and if a dev buys a new phone I understand it, but if he's last one breaks and I can pay a bit to buy another one together.. Why not? Vurrut did (and will do) lots of good things in kernel development, roms, etc... so I can't believe how there is still people in this forum who doesn't pay.
Fuss 132 donation was started by slynightdark, a 15 yr old spanish user. All the spanish people donated... Other donations were started by vishal I think (thank you for your good organisation making them, was great) and spanish users donated, all of them, you can verify it... Now whe have made a WHOLE donation alone. Is that fair? If a developer like gm007 or dhiru or ganesh didn't donate I understand it perfectly because they post more advance post than unuseful questions and posts about the weather. So then...
¿Where is the rest of the community?
Making a donation is not necessary, nobody is gonna kill u because you didn't but I can say two things: i didn't expect this of xda community, and I feel very very very very proud of spanish users, of being spanish, and more than this, I feel very proud of HTCMANIA, where there is more than spanish people (south america BIG thanks).
Nothing more, now you all can enjoy vurrut's advances and development, and say thanks to him of what he does, but say thanks for the people who let this community stand.

150€ is very cheap in spain. I imagine he will have the phone in three or four days. Spanish people will donate a big amount of money, that helps a lot.

We have already donated 134€. Only spanish people and enrico. I think vurrut doesn't make development only for spanish people, sincerely. I think everybody is waiting to enjoy vurrut advances and that is very egoist.
Please, we can't cover the whole price, help us. That will help everybody and I think it is not fair... Vishal said he couldn't donate, ok, there is no problem if you can't donate, but if you can? 3€? 4€? I can't believe you don't have 3€ in the pocket of your pants. You would help us a lot if everybody made private donations..

How much more is needed?
Hello everyone, how lucky we're become one of devices that has great developers behind which they support our devices, workin' hard to make some cool CustomRom for our devices.
Fact that they're only human nor a robots or builder rom machines, have you guys ever think of how many times they spent, how many gigs they have to pull the sources,and uploading the rom for you guys??..May some refuse to get paid,may some devs did it as a hobies, fact that its all cost a money. We have a great user numbers here, so isn't hard to put some donates for them..
I made this post, cause of one of our great devs may leave us soon @LuK1337thank you so much for all you've done for our devices

1) No one ask for Donation but its Users if they like they can support Dev's by donating ..
2) Remember Dev's spend lot of time of Development and many devs use Server and other Paid Stuffs in order to keep development intact even Rom Developers like carbon, aogp , aicp all build using servers which cost a lot and they pay with their own money for community they just request for donation only to keep development active..
3) no person can spend money all time for development purpose if users support they will support too because 1 can pay for sometime but not permanently hence Dev's leave when Device get old/users dont support (Donation is Not Compulsory) but its support for devs
4) Finally its end users choise no devs/members force anyone
Agreed none force to donates, i made this post just to make all of us think cuz i believe everything has cause&effect , face it that's the rules..

Why i did this, and i'll keep on doing this..so that everyone of us (s2ve/p) users can do the same thing so that every devs can keep on doing their devs,. Open your eyes how many old & some of you called crap devices can use Kitkat,and now Lollipop, even some devices was only dreams to tasted kitkat on it, even the higher prices devices still lack of developements..be gratefull guys..

i would suggest to anyone which can afford it to save 50$ away monthly and spend it on donations onto various open source projects you like and use.
because this people are doing a good amount of WORK which adds value to us all, so they defenitely deserve some money for it imho.
