tj_style is prepared to develop a Custom Rom and a Recovery imagefor Galaxy Fit

Hi to all members of Galaxy Fit Subform
Today,I took the liberty to contact tj_style on belhalf of this subforum and asked him if he
would be prepared to help us port Clockwork Recovery Mod For Galaxy Fit.
His answer was " i don't have the device, that's the problem ".
I responded as follows; "Suppose we collect some money from the forum so that you can buy one, would you port a CWM for it.Please advise ."
He replied : "yes, if i have one. i can start to developing rom for that device.
i will not release rom or recovery that not tested by me.. because i think is dangerous..

So guys here is a chance to donate the price of a Galaxy Fit for tj_style so that he starts developing a Rom and a CWM for our device.
If interested , we could form a fund where each one contributes a sum fo money to be sent to tj_style so that he can buy the phone.
Please come up with workable alternative suggestions so that we implement this proposal.

Actually I shouldn't say this.. but now I can't stop myself to say this thing... I have been seeing alot of people to donate tj_style from a couple of months ... but just can't understand where the whole money is goin.... galaxy mini owners were donating him from a really long time... galaxy fit owners are donating himm now... plz somebody tell me that whether the money he get till now after so many donations wasn't enough for him to buy a new device or what....

Go through the galaxy mini forum and see the amount of development he has done for the device...and the money he gets from the donation is for the time and hard work he invests in development...why the hell would he use that money to buy a device when we want him to develop for our device....

that forum too, he mentioned some prob with his own galaxy mini and people were giving donations to him so that he cud buy that galaxy mini again and continue his developing....... at that time too... he hasng shown any positive post that this much amount is more needed or very less donations or donations are enough to buy a new gmini.... he never shared any news and the accepted donations blindly without informing the truth... at that time too people needed him... so they were donating..... and donations on the base of his work was very very less(actually very minute) if u noticef carefully.... and now... situation is making an image of him in my mind that he is a serious game planner.... afterall who knows truth except he himself..... so... i don't recommend at all that the members of this forum should donate him..... coz how wud he know that how much money he collected from this forum n what else he collected on the base of his development.... there is no system like u can mention that u r donating him on this reason.... u can only provide feedback... n I believe making him buy our device for our benefits is like bribe-ing him....

N I know... sharing these kinda views, can make him feel sad and speaking frankly on being a member of this forum, even it cud be harmfull for the development of our device if I am wrong... but I don't give a damn about it... if he's a man... then he may reply this and proove me wronng... n I'll be happy too if it is so.... but if this is true... then he should feel guility about all that.......

Guys to develop the device that takes quite a long time and spend lots of time. so respect it.
so if you do not want to donate for the device. but do not provoke guys.

[NOTICE] I9003 Users Development Donation

Clearly there has been certain situations where some of you are not content with your phone, or rather consider your phone "Useless", rather than building a campfire to light the phone on fire or donate it to a homeless man, I would insist that you consider the following options to donate your phone to these developers.
Certain developers are willing to take a look at this phone, I know most of you are willing to get rid/dispose of your phone due to your lack and feel of no progress, rather we are taking the initiative to reboot this motive so that developers familiar with the hardware layout of the I9000 or such may also have the experience of the I9003 to see what can be done, and in better hopes help codeworkx resume his project of CM7.
Below shall be updated regularly with the current name's of the developer's, what they wish to accomplish followed by what they specialize in. The list shall contain their name's linked to their profile.

Thanks for your trust in me, but poorly there´s no one.
It´s not necessary that the phone is free of cost for me, it should be only cheap.

i am willing to pass my phone on cheap, as soon as i got a new on (S2 or Nexus, will see)
problem is that i am sitting in china, so if you are in Dongguan/HK area, i am able to meet up, apart from that, i dont pay delivery fee although i can organise cheap delivery

even Doomlord is also ready to work on our device. Like how codeworkx is recognised developer for galaxy devices like that Doomlorad is most famous recognised developer for sony experia devices. Just search on xda as 'doomlord kernal' u will come to know that he is really a super master in kernal developement. Just few days ago xperia community donated latest experia phone to him for developement. So we should donate him also a phone. He is living in pune, india. So indian people can easily donate him via private bank account & other can donate him paypal account.

@vishal open a thread and we wil donate to doomlord..u can talk to him.

ya good idea. I will donate also but problem is if I open a thread for donation then I cant maintain it regularly because for 1 month now onwards I am busy with study for exam. Now my exams are near. So if a senior member is free then he should take initiative to start a donation thread.

That's the spirit! Right now we have to see if people accept to contribute, come on guys, this would be very helpful for I9003 community

I dont know that how many members will now get ready for donation but I will surely help u. As I am student & as I already donated to doomlord I cant donate at least for now. After finishing my exams I will surely donate in december months if sufficient number of members are get ready which will be quite hard. But dont loose hopes. I am with u.

It is true that people just donated for DoomLord SCL, and we are not rich people, but i am sure that in december we will have enough to buy a phone for fuss. We dont have to carry up, we have time to get the money and this guy did a lot for us HAVING NO PHONE. So his development was only for as, not for him...

Totally true man, no hurry, but as soon as we begin we'll end sooner so, basing in procedure with doomlord donations, can people who WANT to donate to tell the possible amount to make an aproximated number of money we can collect?

dont take wrong guys but a small suggestion is there. Still we have not completed donation amount that we have to donate to doomlord. He brought device by adding 20% from his pocket instead of just 10% which he had mentioned. I mean to say we should first complete donation amount of doomlord then we can concentrate here. It will not look good that doomlord is taking efforts for us by adding his own money for us. I hope u understand what I mean.

There is no point in complaining that devs made empty promises, they don't owe us anything, what can we say? I feel it is also wrong to keep on spamming devs about kernel 3.0. Yes it may make a stable cm9. However, devs need the time and resources and it doesn't seem too easy to port kernels. So there is no need to pester the devs. Though fuss hasn't been showing his face, he may either be building something for us, or doing nothing, we can't do anything about it. There isnt much point in complaining about devs I'm afraid. Put yourself in their shoes...

Agreeed...i am spellbound to see vishal getting support as well as being criticised for asking UC team to help dhiru..but since vurrut has made a cm9 kernl..cant he actually help dhiru?? i hv not commented evn a single tym..theres no use adding fuel to fire..as far as fuss goes..m sad that people donate for somone and dat person goes on a leave.!!

Ha ha ha...poor i9100 s2 members ...!! Actually I am quite happy because when people were donating phone to fuss I almost did everything to convince people not to donate fuss as he is just a new in development. But as he had ported ICS sdk people were mad behind him for ICS development & everyone criticized me that time. And now look...where is fuss...!!! He made miui based on cm7 but all we know that JP007 did remaining 90% of work. Just few days ago he released an ICS sm9 based rom but u can clearly see that it was themed cm9 rom of Dhiru. Nothing new in that rom. Donation to fuss is a lesson to those people who dont want to look development history of a perticular developer & blindly believe who make fake promises.

Dont take me in wrong way but I am not agree with u. People are criticizing me because they feel that I am spamming the thread of UC kernel. But I only know one thing that we all donate a phone in expectation that developer will work on those thing for which phone has been donated to them. But if developer is working on something else then cant we have right to tell them what we want...?? Its not that we are paying for them for development. Its about promises & expectations of developer & people who donate them.

I totally agree with you. I9100 G community will regret like us. Seem like donation is almost done.Fuss is sure very happy with his free phone.

I said I will bring MIUI when I came to this device and of course most of the work was done by other people. I really would like to help you in CM9 but I never said I can manage it and I can not fix the bugs that are in it now. And its the same as always you guys can´t read clearly ^^ I said to the people in the S2G community I will bring them MIUI and there was not a word about CM9!

Anyway dude if YOU think ( I mean, completely ur decision) there's nothing u can contribute or u have no time for the i9003 forum, best u give it away..
The i9003 is a small forum and we can't afford to have a donated device lying around without the Dev working on it..
@ all members.
U guys can see from fuss's post above that he is ok with giving away the device., So let's discuss whom to pass it on to if everyone else has no problem with it..

I said I will send ot to the person who needs it.. I don´t want money for the phone we just the money for shipping because its very expensive
I already said that I can´t do anything atm for the sl communitiy but nobody answered :/
Its laying here in an edge close to my pc and nothing happens with it

Thanx for intimating us. I think We should ask Dhiru as he is in touch with all developers who are working on cm9 & especially kernel 3.0. I will PM Dhiru about this.

Depens to the country... f.e. if the otheruser lives in germany its very cheap and I will pay it.
I dont know how expensive it is to ship one to india or something like this but its nit cheap

We need to make a correct decision this time, I mean a really proper one. Ask developers (especially Dhiru) who they think can really help in our phone development. And before sending the phone out, ask that particular dev whether he will really commit himself to the development, IMO it is better to have a committed dev rather than a recognized one but with a little time with our phone.
Btw, big thanks to Fuss for all the things that you have done to our phone, and I wish you future success with whatever phone you are developing into

It either means he will not run away with a phone donated to him because it's bad or he will not run away with a donated phone he doesn't even need. I think it's the 2nd one

[DONATIONS] Keep the Developers Builds Our CUSTOMROM

Hello everyone, how lucky we're become one of devices that has great developers behind which they support our devices, workin' hard to make some cool CustomRom for our devices.
Fact that they're only human nor a robots or builder rom machines, have you guys ever think of how many times they spent, how many gigs they have to pull the sources,and uploading the rom for you guys??..May some refuse to get paid,may some devs did it as a hobies, fact that its all cost a money. We have a great user numbers here, so isn't hard to put some donates for them..

1) No one ask for Donation but its Users if they like they can support Dev's by donating ..
2) Remember Dev's spend lot of time of Development and many devs use Server and other Paid Stuffs in order to keep development intact even Rom Developers like carbon, aogp , aicp all build using servers which cost a lot and they pay with their own money for community they just request for donation only to keep development active..
3) no person can spend money all time for development purpose if users support they will support too because 1 can pay for sometime but not permanently hence Dev's leave when Device get old/users dont support (Donation is Not Compulsory) but its support for devs
4) Finally its end users choise no devs/members force anyone

Agreed none force to donates, i made this post just to make all of us think cuz i believe everything has cause&effect , face it that's the rules..

Why i did this, and i'll keep on doing this..so that everyone of us (s2ve/p) users can do the same thing so that every devs can keep on doing their devs,. Open your eyes how many old & some of you called crap devices can use Kitkat,and now Lollipop, even some devices was only dreams to tasted kitkat on it, even the higher prices devices still lack of developements..be gratefull guys..

i would suggest to anyone which can afford it to save 50$ away monthly and spend it on donations onto various open source projects you like and use.
because this people are doing a good amount of WORK which adds value to us all, so they defenitely deserve some money for it imho.
just my 2 cents
