How to install rom on my vodafone htc magic google???

i have a htc magic and im new in android mobiles i downloaded a rom from htc website by giving sn of my htc but when i try to upgrade there comes error 155 of update utility actually mobile is from spain vodafone and i want to enter portugese language in it.......

In first place, I'm truly sorry if this this post is misplaced, i'm kinda new here...
Now, can anyone please tell me what is the ROM that my htc Trophy is using? The specs are:

Firmware revision number: 2250.09.10908.168
Hardware revision number: 0003

I'm from Portugal, but I bought it from the UK... Either way, thanks a lot for helping.
By the way, that means that my ROM is Unbranded?
P.S: I have the Vodafone "color" in the Themes menu.

i'm stuggling with this too.
it's a vodafone branded trophy, and i treid vodafone germany, vodafone uk, vodafone spain and vodafone ell.
Also tried htc europe.
rom version is 1.09.172.06 and i didn't find anything mating to this...

yeah, its almost the same. only difference is that i had Firmware revision number: 2250.09.10972.168
I said had, because i flashed yesterday with the nodo update so ist unbranded now.
don't know how it worked because before it just wouldn't update, an all of the sudden with the same y-cable, goldcard and sd-reader the phone updated
but i still don't know wich provider was mine.....

Downgrading ???

What is needed to downgrade from NoDo to 7004 or 7008?
I have no idea where the phone was imported from anyway of telling?
I am sure its just a unbranded HTC HD7 as it has no telco branding and also has
a Green HTC theme.

With the data you provide seems that the rom for your phone (Asia) is this :
hTC_Asia operator, CV 707 with CIDs HTC__044, HTC_621, HTC__622, HTC__038:
2.2 BR: RUU_Schubert_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.57.707.02_Radio_5.52.0 9.16_22.33a.50.10U_by_ansar
2.1 BR: RUU_Schubert_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.23.707.01_Radio_5.51.0 9.06a_22.30.50.09U_by_ansar
Try first the (2.2) rom and if you have any trouble flashing then try the second (2.1)...

Just to confirm, both ROMs are 7004 but 1.57 is the latest one
Try it with no fear but 1st backup your running ROM

Thanks for that xtra peice of info , and for providing the ROM.

So after installing the 7004 ROM and following this keeping unlocked method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913748 , can I now update to NoDo and it will stay unlocked or am I stuck on 7004?

What is the best method to interop-unlock my phone? Will the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371073 method to downgrade SPL work for me? If yes, what should I do next after the downgrade?

[Q] Htc trophy help ( GSM ) Connection

i recently bought an HTC Tophy from Craiglist and it was working for about a week .
afte that i wasnt able to make or recieve Phone calls . im not show but i think something wrong with my radio connectivity
help wanted .. the only time i can use my phone is when i connect it to the WIFI
if anyone has a tuttorial on how to fix this i would be greatly thanks them.
