This is a test release with a new kernel 2.6.32 based from legend kernel source modified by cyanogen and attn1 to work on cm6. I am looking for reports on wifi and bluetooth mostly. Since this just replaces the kernel in 6.1.0 RC2. I don't want bug reports of issues already mentioned in the main 6.1.0 RC2. Please contain them to wifi and bluetooth. Overclock is included. I basically want to make sure your wifi runs good and the bluetooth works with your headsets/a2dp devices.
Thanks for testing

Changelog?
Is the included overclock already clocked higher or is it set at stock?
It would be great to have more info on this please! I may test it out once you can include more information.
The os itself is the same it's just a kernel change. Going from 2.6.29 in the other release to 2.6.32 in this test release. It's basically a subsystem change. You won't see any cosmetic change. I just want to make sure it doesn't cause any issues before attn1 and I add it to the next cm release. The only reason I mention OC is because this kernel still has it in it. So you will have the same OC features as the 2.6.29 kernel. Hope this helps explain what has changed.
Just curious if this .32 kernel will pave the way for FM radio support?
Wifi is working fine for me so far. I don't use any bluetooth devices, so haven't tested that.

downloaded, haven't flashed it yet. There's still no nls_utf8.ko in /system/lib/modules. I know how to compile one, but I'll appreciate if you guys could make a small change in the config.
Code:
CONFIG_NLS_UTF8=m
That would save my trouble.
Wifi is working fine; tested both Wifi data connection and Wifi tethering (actually posting this using Wifi tethering). BT paired with Plantronics 520 headset is working and BT Voice Dialer was launched when I selected the headset button.
Do you just flash this?
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
You install it the same way you install the cm6-rc2.

I made a kernel with your change. You'll still need to install the first package on this page before you install this kernel update. What is is for nls_utf8 used for anyways? Does this kernel update do what you need it to?

Thank you so much!!
nls_utf8 should always comes with cifs. With this module, we can mount cifs with "iocharset=utf8" option to access files that have special characters in their names. This is quite important for non-english users who use cifs.
WiFi seems be fine here. Bluetooth connects and working fine with Blue Eagle ll headset.

Thanks for your input guys, if I could get some more it would be great. CM6.1 final will be out in the next couple of days so I'd like to get as much feedback as possible before then.
Bluetooth is connecting fine with my Nokia headset (BH-503). Wifi is working no different for me (aka, it works).
Tether working great for me don't know about Bluetooth don't ever use it but everything else is great!
Sent from my Liberty using XDA App
Wifi's fine. Cifs's working and it's good to have utf8 support.
Don't have any BT device to test on.
Wifi working for me. Just the kernel flashed over the latest nightly.
Downloaded this, ran it through it's paces as best I could. Connected two bluetooth devices (jabra and jawbone) worked without any glitches or weirdness. I also moved between several wifi spots WEP, WPA, and unsecured without issue.
Need any other info let me know.
I can also verify wifi working perfectly.
(no bluetooth devices to test that)
Only ROM in the CM series that works with my WIFI router (WPA-PSK). Had tired the most recent CM version and really liked the expanded dock along the bottom that allowed up to 5 icons to be placed there, but again, no wireless. Guess I'll stay with this one till Gingerbread comes out, Right...

CAUTION: for daily use, I feel this port are stable enough for many people. but it may not suitable for others. and it is a bit slow at sometime. I won't optimize it at current, since the speed is acceptable, and I must keep it "clean" to avoid any hidden bugs before we can get all things working properly.
plz don't touch your phone until everything have been loaded completely. I also can't suffer the speed during something are loading after boots. after everything have been loaded and use the phone for a while, I feel the speed is fine personally.
wipe and flash in recovery, and you should delete the generated files (by android) in your sd card.
Eris v0.4 & Legend V0.4[UPDATED at June, 16th] :
latest update [Jun 26]::
OC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=349885&d=1277499752
non-OC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=350638&d=1277631885 , under testing, plz report bugs.
though they were developed with HERO port, but I think it could be used in all my ports.
eris port is stable enough (but it is still a leaked and undone version, so maybe it has some hidden bugs.). and it is faster than legend one. but it looks rather old, and features are less. it doesn't have apps like friend stream; the browser doesn't have some functions; etc. it is for CDMA phone, so simcard operations are missed. i.e. you couldn't disable simcard contacts.
for MMS, you can use MmsZap which has been included in the ROM, set the fields (you could copy them from your APN) then press "back", MmsZap will save your settings into system automatically. after this, don't forget uninstalling it, this software isn't made very well.
works:
should be all now
HTC Sync will work with with http://www.easy-share.com/1909610034/HTCSync2.0.25.exe , thank beetleman and hanserson1 who uploaded it, thank capychimp who figured out this.
if you have troubles with your gps: shutdown with gps enabled (whether if it works or not). the gps will initialize properly when next time the phone boots. or maybe you could use the libgps.so from 0.34pre (it have other problems with some device).
download:

caution: you must read texts below before you download it.
you could download it, if, and only if, you have become a tester of these works: kernel binaries and lib binaries which are made by me. as a tester, you do not have any rights (i.e. ownership) with these files.
certainly, you could use it as before or as using any other ROM .
if you click any download link in my posts, it means that you volunteer for testing these works, to speed up the progress of development and final release.
in this situation, you will become a tester of this ROM automatically.
if you don't want to be a tester, but you want to be a user: at current, you are not allowed to download any files from my posts. you shouldn't download them, because they are just for internal tests. please wait for a public release.

addition:
for JIT, download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=345213&stc=1&d=1276842897
you have to set your Home Wallpaper and Lockscreen Wallpaper to something on sdcard before the first boot with JIT enabled, (and you can set them back after that: I have tried other HTC wallpapers except default). the workaround is found by klothius, thx .
if you encountered any trouble, and want it disabled, flash this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=345214&stc=1&d=1276842897

they include many useful things, (and all my ROMs are pure ports), you can find them here:

other words for rom dev:
please upgrade to .32 kernel, i have stopped my works on the .29 kernel.
the kernel someone called "eli" or "ELI" is the sanpei's one too, so if you find bugs or have some thoughts on it, plz let me know.
and you are welcome to make your own mod based on my works.
Nice work. I don't have a rooted Magic but I'm excited to see this.
Does the bluetooth problem have to do with changing the line. I've seen Cyanogen talk about this fix for some Eclair ROMs:
-n -s 115200 /dev/ttyHS0 texas 4000000 flow
to
-n -s 115200 /dev/ttyHS0 texasalt 4000000 flow
in init.sapphire.rc ?
old info:
please make sure that you have installed driver properly. adb won't work if you install Google driver as a single device driver, and if you install HTC driver as a single device driver, DiskDrive will freeze your phone (but adb works directly). a little more details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6180261&postcount=986
our phone is "USB Composite Device", and windows has this driver included. you can try install it. after that, your PC will find new devices: one for adb (both Google and HTC's drivers will work), another for USB mass storage, and others don't have drivers (I will remove them if these two devices cause troubles) .
battery tips: you should make sure that services/apps like gps/maps could get data from internet properly. they may prevent the phone going to sleep when they think that the jobs are not done yet. and in some cases, they would forget to tell our phone "you can sleep now", so the phone would never sleep properly. if you encounter these problems, the only workaround is a reboot (as far as I know).

*** default internet sharing won't work, I have tried it with wired tether 1.2 under linux, but I don't know how to use it under windows (my windows: Windows 7 64bit)
**** it works like a charm under linux. for windows, you may have some trouble with drivers, please read the texts under "working" section.
the eris ROM contains files from the RiverRunner(or others?)'s dump, maps from brut, superuser built from ChiansDD's sources.
Q & A:
Q: what about your others work, like bug fixes of your aosp build, your kernel, the opensource progress of your kernel?
A: i have few time these days, no big steps on ROM development.
for the aosp ROM, i build some version and test them myself, but none of them are better than my last one, since I don't have time to tweak them. but if I found a big improve in the future, I will release a new one.
for the sources of kernel, i lost some key files of my modification of kernel .29, and I was working on kernel 2.6.32 when I had some little time these days. i think that i won't work on the .29 kernel again if I don't encounter big problems on .32.
so there is no sources I can post at current. and for .29 kernel, there isn't any changes after it was released. I use the same binary file in all my ROM too as you.
Q: why .32 (next release)?
A: I hope that .32 could fix most kernel and driver bugs in previous releases. if not, .32 will still be better than .29. btw, this ROM uses .29 (as same as previous) since .32 jobs are not done yet.
Q: will you update this SenseUI ROM ?
A: I think my friend ahmgsk will make a better one for you.
so when any other ROM that are good enough appear in next 2~3 days, I will stop to update. this one just shows what we could have.
my plan is, I will work on some programming and kernel jobs, and ahmgsk will make good ROMs.

can you report what works and not for you?
It's an official HTC Sense port so it should be very smooth. But there are things that are not going to work right away since it is from the Eris. So reports are appreciated.
Em ne chance that these very drivers will work with other stable eclair roms ?
Facebook+Contacts don't sync right away, I haven't figured out a way to sync it. Might have to do it manually?
I couldn't use Titanium back up, it said I didn't have root access. Installing busybox didn't work either.
No Live Wallpapers?
Pretty much it for me. I haven't tried the camera/camcorder
WiFi works though, which is great.
Thanks a lot for having a look inside whats coming :-D things not working besides those already mentioned: GPS + all Kinds of LED's besides sync works without Problems.

BT not working. can't even turn it on
LED light either? not sure on this one.
also as reported by sanpei, the preview after taking a picture appears weird but no biggie for me since the picture is correctly recorded
overall super, super, super smooth. got one freeze when flickering around settings and a sms comes in but other than that haven't got any issue in the past ... 5 hrs.
edit1: LED not lighting up even when charging.
edit2: forgot to mention that there's no Mount USB option when plugged.
Thanks for the quick work getting a 32A port of the Eris 2.1 dump.
Some noted bugs:
1.) 3G connection does NOT work for me. It shows the 3G icon but will act as if no connection is available. WiFi works, however.
2.) LED sensors not working (as said earlier)
3.) Screen issue when taking pictures with HTC Camera (also noted)
4.) When first starting up phone on first boot, when I reach HTC Setup Wizard I get a force close on android.process.media. Doesn't seem to affect anything though.
EDIT: for Issue 4, my 3G connection issue was fixed when I flashed HeroDroid's WiFi/LED Sensor fix from his Hero port (no, LED lights still don't work).
well done! i hope to see the screenshot pics
it is based off the eris dump. u can find screenshots in the eris forum, there's a lot of them and a video too
WOW you guys are fast. i smoked a spliff and came back..i see its here already
thanks im gonna try it right now..be back with some feedback

FOR 32A, RADIO 6.35 and SPL 1.76
this port only have very little modification from original official ROM, some kernel driver tweaks, camera libs replacement, our bt firmware, sensors files and root.
first boot could be not very smooth. screen may go blank, if you would encounter this problem, just wait for a while, and press some keys. when you make all your settings done, a reboot is highly recommended. I have used it daily now.

addition:
for JIT, download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=345213&stc=1&d=1276842897
you have to set your Home Wallpaper and Lockscreen Wallpaper to something on sdcard before the first boot with JIT enabled, (and you can set them back after that: I have tried other HTC wallpapers except default). the workaround is found by klothius, thx .

for Gallery3D, download this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=338391&d=1275828997 , it could work with HTC Camera app in most HTC's ROM.
known issues and workaround:
keyboard light and some other led features : flash update plz
gps may need to boot with gps setting on, or you could try capychimp's gps files
official USB netsharing: flash update plz
if you find infinite logs about database queries which are generated by bt components, what I know is a reboot, or kill the bluetooth process
APN list shows nothing (unless your mobile operator is Chungwa in Taiwan), plz manually add your APN
* it could work under windows, but you must enable netshare in settings, and not in notification area. and you must disable netshare in settings if you want to use DiskDrive.
plz don't turn mobile network setting off when wifi is on. HTC's software will disable netsharing and uninstall the driver when you turn off mobile network.
** dev could set the button led timeout now.
just setprop sanpei.buttonlight.delay 20 (in sec) when phone is running, or set it in build.prop. plz report any issues.
*** I don't test the non-OC version myself yet, if you encountered any problem plz tell me, since it have lower frequency when you don't touch the phone.
and if the screen doesn't turn on during boot with OC version, plz press red button to close screen then press any other button to active the screen.
this issues happened once when first time I used this ROM after it was ported, though we don't have a kernel OCed that time. so I had said "first boot could be not very smooth" before. now I found that with higher CPU freq, it will happen more frequently.
so I won't support higher frequency at current. they are not so stable as I considered before. maybe you think that we could boot it with a lower frequency then use higher after boot. but I think if it have troubles when booting, it will have more troubles in heavily usage.
old changes:
some new commits to aosp kernel are included
qdsp driver changed to htc 2.6.29 version with some hacks
other little tweaks, not very important
for developers, many modules are included, you could check the modules folder. but I don't enable things like compcache by default. OC is not included, my phone is heated and I don't want to take a risk before I could have time to verify it carefully.
HTC Sync will work with with version 2.0.25, you can find it here (thank paultoan): http://www.htc.com/us/support/magic-rogers/downloads/ .
other pure ports:
you can find them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=642125 .
legend port is a bit slow, but it have more features: the new way of select text、copy、wiki、translate and dictionary, etc.eris port may be faster then this one, and has been tested for a long time, but with old looks.
could someone test for us, if the new kernel binary and boot.img (in update.zip) could work with legend/eris ports? then we could use it to upgrade these ports too.

you should turn off bt after using it. a component of bt will prevent the phone going to sleep when bt is turned on. I will try to find a solution when I have time.
I don't want to use HTC's kernel. because they have some other bugs too. fixing bugs in HTC's kernel is less valuable than our current way. and you know, maybe we should try android 2.2 later.
so we must stay at aosp kernel and adapt it to run both AOSP and HTC's ROM. and I think these jobs could be done. all the problems are just time, time and time.
btw, it's not "my own kernel", it is the aosp kernel, I just did some repairing for our purpose
and to others:
sorry, I couldn't do works which would take a lot of time at current. but I won't stop.
sanpei, there's an ongoing effort on porting the 2.6.33 kernel to the new radio, with some work already done. Maybe you could give some help to the people doing that job

.33 is a experimental project by Google, and our device won't get benefits from the increased digit. I will only work on kernels which will be chosen by Google and other manufacturers. and sadly, for some nonsense reason, I and some people couldn't work together.

i am really sorry for that. when I was fixing the battery drains, I don't know much about the right behaviors that bt features should have. so I just leave the prevent-sleep mechanism there because I think it is necessary.
and now I don't have enough time as before. but from you and others, I know what the right behaviors are. I will try to fix it in next release, for people who use bt heavily.

yes (we should make more things could be controlled by users in the long run), but not now.
we still have some issues that are important to other users, though personally, I don't use those features heavily.
my order:
1. lights in Sense ROM for other devices and battery drains when bt is on
2. android 2.2 or big improvements in android 2.2 (port them to daily usable ROM)
3. default USB netsharing, netsharing under windows and other features like this
4. other hardware supports and features like CPU freq control.
5. some hidden bugs in aosp sources or htc drivers we used (though they don't affect anything in most cases)
hope I could get enough time end of this month and next month, then I could repair/add one or two of them.
I only referenced the .33 kernel since that's what's used on cyanogen 5 series mod, and if it could be adapted to the new radio it would be a good way for us to have CM5 with the modifications cyanogen and otheres sometimes do to the kernel. Just my 2 cents
Hi everyone
I've managed to get a fairly good working build now of FRF91 from AOSP. I was inspired mainly by both AdamG and meLIanTQ for there excellent work on both there AOSP built ROM's, so thought I'd have a go at it myself, so here is the result
I'm building this ROM to suit my own personal needs, with various little things thrown in for good measure, but it will remain 100% AOSP source. No APK's will be modified *after* the build, all customisation on my part will be done via the overlay.
THIS IS NOT A SENSE-BASED ROM

The following items have also been removed:
Facebook (Installable from Market)
Twitter (Installable from Market)
Original Android Launcher
Amazon MP3 (Installable from Market)

Facebook Sync (including profile pictures displaying in Phone App and Message App)
WiFi
USB & WiFi Teather
Notification LED's
Camera
NO ECHO
I've also not included items such as SpareParts, or LeoParts... SpareParts and LeoParts can be had from the Market.
Please refer to the 2nd post for a breakdown of changes/fixes/known issues with the ROM
Installation
Fresh Install
I recommend you do a FULL WIPE before you install this ROM if you are coming from another ROM.
Future Upgrades
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Just to say. Whenever I release a new Update, I always just "flash over" the existing one without a Wipe and go from there. I'm building each release with this ethos in mind, as its pretty annoying having to do a Wipe on each update!
DOWNLOAD
YOU WILL NEED THE 5.xx RADIO ROM FLASHED TO USE THIS ROM - 4.xx RADIOS ARE NOT, AND WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED SORRY!!
Get the latest RADIO's >HERE<
Also, remember this is a ROM I'm making for myself and a few friends, so I will try to sort out bugs as-and-when they are found, but as I'm still learning how to do this well, it may take a little time for me to sort!
Also during the FIRST initial boot after a fresh install, it can take about 30 seconds for LauncherPro to start responding. THIS IS NORMAL. Any further reboots by yourself, or upgrades in future (without wipes) don't have this issue.
FroYo-Desire 0.4b
Thanks & Credits
st0kes for all the info and tips in the Building Android from AOSP thread.
deovferreira/Kali- for the vendors which make all of this possible.
meLIanTQ for the invaluable help when I ran into a few issues during my initial build
AdamG & meLIanTQ for there inspiration
IntersectRaven for his HAVS Kernel Modifications
Anyone and everyone else who I've forgot to mention
Want to buy me a Toastie?? Can if you want But I'm not in it for the food
Future Additions
Add support to dynamically check and change the keys binded for unlocking the phone
Current Known Issues
Auto Brightness may not be to everyones taste.
Version History & Changelog
0.4b
Kernel UV Values tweaked to 925mV min, 1225mV max.
Conservative Power Governor now set on boot. (can be changed using SetCPU)
Updated LauncherPro to latest release
0.4a
Removed HAVS Additions from Kernel - caused problems with Trackpad & Light Sensor (CM3602).
New Kernel UV-Only based on Pershoots N1 Modifications. 950mV - 1275mV (for stability)
0.4
Recompiled Kernel with HAVS Support (925mV MIN, 1250mV MAX) - Credit >IntersectRaven<
0.3
Added SIM Toolkit
Final 100% Battery Charging Modification in place (keeps battery at 100% while plugged in)
WiFi Sleep now fixed (using own method based loosely on the official Google patch)
WiFi Sleep also fixed in respect to extremely high pings and regular dropped packets still compared to being in a Woken state (pings and packet consistency will remain constant regardless of screen being on or off)
AutoBrightness now set back to original FroYo values. Sense values used in 0.2 were draining the battery and keeping the screen far too bright in dark conditions.
0.2
Re-synced against latest AOSP Release & Kernel_MSM
Further-optimised Charging functions in Kernel
Fixed button backlight (full brightness)
Fixed Notification LED
Fixed Auto-Brightness
0.1b
Re-compiled Kernel enabling "Conservative" mode for (hopefully) better battery saving! (use SetCPU to enable this)
Added fixes to try get 3G working on Orange networks (for those who are fully unlocked with latest Radio's ONLY)
Corrected the order at which kernel modules load. Also sorted out module issue with FileSystem modules loading in the proper order.
No longer clear Vendor cache from Market (causes slowdown on initial use after flashing as upgrade)
0.1a
Initial Public Release
0.1-prerelease
First Initial Build
Fixed LED's
Added Camera Profiles
Fixed Facebook Sync
Fixed Teather

Updated first post with a link to the modified source file
You sir are an absolute saint
Thanks so so much
5 STARS!
very very nice work.. good job.. i love AOSP rom.. i'll try it tomorrow.. one question. the biggest problem is wifi on OD and AOSPDesire (sleep mode). wifi is working on this rom when goes to sleep? Thanks
How would we go about manually installing the kernel fix? do we flash it?
Thanks again and sorry for my ignorance
cenkaan - What exactly is the WiFi sleep problem? I go into Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Wi-Fi Settings.
Press Menu key, choose Advanced
Set Wi-Fi sleep policy to Never... Doesn't disconnect for me, but it does run in a low-power mode.
I've noticed using something like SpareParts, has *no* effect on this setting what-so-ever. It only works for me by doing it this way.
cgrec92 - thats the source file for the battery driver which must be compiled in with the kernel from source. As far as I know, the boot.img (my kernel) is compatible with OpenDesire (used it on there myself). It is already included in DeFrost, AOSPDesire, and I think AdamG might be adding it to his future updates as he did ask me where he could obtain the mod
i use wifi policy and set to never but this is not solution for me on other AOSP mods. Thanks for the quick reply
Well I've had the desire running all night and it kept its connection But if it is an issue, please let me know what you do for the issue to show (any other apps used to manage it) and I'll see what I can do
can't wait and i'll try it now
Last question I promise
So the boot.img contains the kernel (you have modified this)
I can use your boot.img on other ROMs such as AdamG's seeing that yours is based on this?
no it's not working...full wipe and later set to never but it's not working..
-sleep mode-
Destination address 192.168.1.86
Packets sent 10
Packets received 0
Average round-trip time 0.000 ms
in the meantime rom is very nice. great job.. Pls help me.. I want to use this rom. i loved it

I modified the *source* at which the kernel is compiled and built from. I then configured the base options for the kernel, compiled it, modified the various init scripts (which are supplied via the AOSP source build), and made the ramdisk, packed the boot.img... etc etc
If you wish to use this kernel on another rom (such as OpenDesire), then you will also need to copy the folder /system/lib/modules from my ROM to OpenDesire also. You will also need to manually edit /system/etc/init.d/**** script (whatever it is loading modules) or if there isn't one, create one to load ext2, ext3, ext4 and ipv6...
Bit more involving than I first made out really lol! Sorry...

Strange indeed...
I've been reading a bit in other threads, does your WiFi MAC start with something other than 00:23?? As from what I read in AOSPDesire thread, it occurs to phones whose MAC starts with different numbers to that... Again, sorry its not working for you...
Did some digging, looks like a fault which is also apparent on other HTC devices, including the N1
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=9781
According to that (or so I think it makes out) it's also dependant on the make/model/type of Router which you also use...
So us Desire owners are most definitely not alone...
Ok that's enough hassle for you
Thanks so much for all your help
Fantastic developer will download your ROM as soon as i get home, thanks
thanks for the help and great rom.. and yes, what a pitty my wifi mac address is begin with 38:E7..

The same issue does NOT occur on any HTC ROMs so am wondering what HTC has done specifically to address the problem...
hello sorrry i'm new.... (sorry for my bad english)
in this rom is not sense installed? Can someone upload pictures.

Sense is not installed, no...
Pictures - couple are in the first post of this thread (at the bottom of it)
*update*
Updated to v0.1b, enabled new "Conservative" power governor for the CPU in the Kernel. Use SetCPU to enable this in the phone itself, will hopefully improve battery life, but will have a slight effect on performance when this option is enabled.
Hi,
i am here for the first time, used the Search Function, but didn't find the solution.
my Problem:
Samsung P5100, in the moment running cm-10.1-20130103-NIGHTLY-p5100.zip, it runs very well.
As a Christmas Gift I got a Bluetooth-Keyboard Samsung Tablet Keyboard BKC-1B1
with the CM-10.1 firmware pairing is possible, but all the keys don't have any function.
Going back to stock firmware (Android 4.0.3 or 4.0.4), the keyboard works perfectly.
Again CM-10.1 - pairing ok, but not even one key is working.
Now, I tried another thing.
I have a smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S) running CM-10.1, too (cm-10.1-20130103-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd.zip since today)
And, what happens? Pairing OK, and - the keyboard works.
Now my question: where is the little difference between the tablet and the phone?
I'm looking forward to your answers and ideas.
If you need any more info - no problem...
thanks so far
Michael

thx for your hint.
in the meantime i tried AOPK-Rom (Milestone1 or so), but this was not so pretty (AOSP keyboard crashes....), and it looks like not beeing quite finished....
I wanted to test the kernel you suggested, so I first installed CM10.1 Nightly 2013-01-17 and gapps latest gapps.
Nothing else, no wlan, sim-card is empty, no restore of apps from cloud, only bluetooth.
And what happens? the bluetooth keyboard could be paired - and works !!
Still running the kernel which came with cm10.1 (3.0.8 CM gf818e15 [email protected]#1)
the german key mapping doesn't work, but I think this is to be solved with one of the nice tools from the play store.
Until now I have wlan running, updated some apps, made email account, and bt-keyboard is still working.
Tomorrow I will install 1 app after the other and looking for the bluetooth keyboard - we'll see which one kills it.
thanks so far for your help
cheers

I think that codeworkx have implemented good kernel into latest build. U just need to watch it
Well guys, it's been fun. It's been a real pleasure developing for you all. I know my build was never very good, but i hope that those who used my builds were able to enjoy a peek at Cyanogenmod for CDMA. Now that arrrghhh, Skrilax, and the rest of the Razrqcom dev team have gotten the camcorder in 10.1 working, it looks like my build had become redundant. Thanks so much to everybody who used or tested my builds. Special thanks goes to Arrrghhh for being such a big help to me when i was struggling with things, and to Skrilax for letting me use his code as a base!
CDMA builds of CM10
I'll continue maintaining and improving this build, as CM10.1 still does not have a working camcorder.
These builds are based on the work of Skrilax_CZ with modifications to enable CDMA, eHRPD, and LTE on Sprint's network.
Buglist in Second post, Changelog in Third
Additional thanks to arrrghhh and cmattern, who are helping to improve these builds beyond my limited skills.
I am no dev, i'm just a tinkerer, i'm just hoping my tinkering can benefit others who are itching for a taste of CM on these great phones of ours.
ROM
Builds from source: (These builds are based on source from the razrqcom team)
5/28 build with changes to proprietaries
Just set subscription type to NV and toggle airplane mode
Old builds have been moved to third post.
Source
https://github.com/solitarywarrior1
Got my build environment up and running, future builds will be built from source.
Anyone is welcome to suggest changes to my github, i'm still just learning this stuff so any tips are appreciated!
Instructions:
TWRP is recommended when flashing this ROM. I've had reports of it not flashing properly in OpenRecovery.
Wipe cache/data (recommended)
Flash ROM
Flash GAPPS from Skrilax_CZ's Thread located here:Skrilax_CZ's GSM CM10 Build
open phone and enter *#*#4636#*#* and ensure that mode is set to CDMA/LTE auto (prl)
go to settings>wireless and networks>more>mobile networks and set network mode to LTE/CDMA/EvDo and set CDMA Subscription to NV.
you may need to toggle radio or mobile data on/off after the above step
Enjoy!
NOTE: This is still a work in progress and may cause damage to your phone, damage to your relationship, or global thermoneuclear war. None of which am I responsible for. You have been warned!!!!
Thanks to:
HUGE credit goes to Skrilax_CZ, nadlabak (kabaldan on XDA), and the razrqcom-dev-team for the GSM port of CM10 and getting CM10 working on our phones.
Epinter for the CM10 port upon which Skrillax's is based.
Arrrghhh and interloper for the work they've done with Skrilax to get CDMA working up to this point.
Nwo122383 for his original modded build.prop that got CDMA calls working, it inspired me to start blundering about with the config files and gave me a place to start from.
Credit also has to go to the awesome CyanogenMod team for their awesome roms. As well as the teams responsible for the CM10 roms on the Samsung Galaxy S3 (d2spr) and HTC EVO 4G LTE (jewel) from who's roms my modifications come.
Additionally, we should all take a moment to recognize how awesome all of the developers are who build software for all of these phones and make the android community what it is.
What Works
CDMA calls work fine
CDMA 1xRTT, EvDo, and eHRPD data work
LTE works (toggle airplane mode if it doesn't connect)
4G signal bars
GPS Locks within 1 minute of turning GPS on
What Doesn't
Needing to toggle the subscription and mode settings to get data to connect
Data doesn't seem to want to stay connected (may be fixed, additional testing required) as of 4/15 source build
Earpiece whines during calls
My phone number, MIN, and PRL version show "unknown" most of the time | this doesn't appear to effect the ability to make/receive calls or use data or SMS
MMS
SMS longer than the single message limit don't appear to send. (May be fixed as of 4/17, can someone please confirm?)
Changelog
5/2 New build, Phantom VM fix (Thanks Arrrghhh!), New ERI from Toroplus, build.prop tidying
4/22 Moved links to all but the latest build to third post, cleaned up OP to make it more readable
4/17 Added tweaks to hopefully improve GPS and MultiPart SMS
4/15 Additional tweaks to build.prop
4/14: Added source-built unofficial CM10 built from Skrilax_CZ's source with modifications to make it play nice with Sprint's CDMA network
Mods are as follows:
/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/xml/apns.xml
and
/system/framework/framework-res.apk/res/xml/eri.xml
replaced with the Galaxy S3 CM10 stable versions
Build.prop modded with bits and peices from the Galaxy S3 CM10 and Stock ASA-14 ones Ver. 2 adds lines from HTC Jewel (EVO LTE) CM10 as well.
/system/etc/apns-conf.xml replaced with the S3 CM10 one
/system/app/stk.apk removed
Old Builds
Modified GSM builds: (These builds are based on the nightlies from Skrilax_CZ, with some modifications to enable CDMA/LTE)
CDMA Modded CM10 4.12 Nightly Ver. 2
Builds from source: (These builds are built from Skrilax's source with the CDMA mods baked in)
My first source-built version
*Note* GPS seems to work, though not well. This build also has no LTE or eHRPD, but EvDo seems to work more reliably than the modded builds. Next build should have working eHRPD/LTE
Source-built CM10 with eHRPD and LTE 4/15
*Added Bonus: 4G signal bars appear to display correctly as of 4/15 build as well*
4/17 build with SMS tweaks
5/2 build with phantom VM fix
GPS works, only needs some time to booted, also don't forget that nadlabak (kabaldan on XDA) is also author of the CM10 port.

No, you didn't get it. nadlabak is also porting the CM10 to Photon Q with me, only he joined later ( = got his Photon Q later). CM10 port for Photon Q is based on epinter's CM10 port for RAZR HD.

GPS doesn't work for me no matter how long I wait after boot. I also have the high pitched whine in the earpiece during phone calls which may be considered a bug. Do the GSM guys have that too?

another issue for my to-do list i suppose, then.
For NV at boot, you need to edit using sqlite editor. Open data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/ using root explorer. Copy settings.db and paste it at the same dir and it will be renamed to settings.copy.db automatically. Open the copy and click secure. Notice number 13 which is preffered_cdma_subscription. Open it and change the value to 1. Remove settings.db and rename settings.copy.db to settings.db. Reboot your phone. I need someone who are using CM10 to try this method first. I'm on stock ASA14 now. This method used to work on my Droid 4 to enable CDMA ruim.

This "bug" is present in CM10 from Skrilax_CZ and nadlabak, so not referred to this modded build.
Don't know of the RAZR HD (from which CM10 is coming from), but I think that this should be easily be done.
On the other side, some (me too) have problems with corrupted SD-Cards (I need to mount my card a few times),
this could be a problem if this feature is used. But everyone should know that, so not a stop for this feature.

Thanks for the clarification.
I'm a total n00b at this point, so i won't be doing much of adding features. Mostly i'm trying to figure out a config that gets CDMA/LTE working properly.
Any requests for new features or fixes related to bugs that are common to both CM10 builds should probably be directed to Skrilax_CZ in the GSM thread, as everything I do is based on his builds currently, and he has the skills to fix them.
Firstly, nice work. I've been running this for about 24 hours without any major issues. Runs really smooth and I'm happy we have a CDMA version.
I have two quick questions though. Has anyone seen 4G or is this an issue yet? Normally at work I have 4G and I haven't picked it up yet today. Secondly, my fiance sent me an mms and it will not download on 3G. Is this a known issue. I didn't see either as "not working." Do my APNs need adjusted?
Thanks!
I can confirm 4G working in the latest source-built build. 3G is much more stable as well. Same as before some toggling is required, but less than originally.
toggle subscription and radio on/off or mobile data on/off until system>about phone>status shows your phone number correctly and you should be good to go. I'll upload some screenshots when i get out of class today.
I have yet to test MMS though

I will check out your new source build! Thanks for the quick reply. I will let you know what i find.
Edit: I am running your source build. I can confirm that 4G is working on it. Though my phone number is saying unknown. Regardless of the number of times I toggle it. I'm still able to place calls so I'm assuming all is good haha
Any updates on GPS on this ROM? Non-functional GPS is a deal breaker for me, even on CM.
