CAUTION: for daily use, I feel this port are stable enough for many people. but it may not suitable for others. and it is a bit slow at sometime. I won't optimize it at current, since the speed is acceptable, and I must keep it "clean" to avoid any hidden bugs before we can get all things working properly.
plz don't touch your phone until everything have been loaded completely. I also can't suffer the speed during something are loading after boots. after everything have been loaded and use the phone for a while, I feel the speed is fine personally.
wipe and flash in recovery, and you should delete the generated files (by android) in your sd card.

though they were developed with HERO port, but I think it could be used in all my ports.
eris port is stable enough (but it is still a leaked and undone version, so maybe it has some hidden bugs.). and it is faster than legend one. but it looks rather old, and features are less. it doesn't have apps like friend stream; the browser doesn't have some functions; etc. it is for CDMA phone, so simcard operations are missed. i.e. you couldn't disable simcard contacts.
for MMS, you can use MmsZap which has been included in the ROM, set the fields (you could copy them from your APN) then press "back", MmsZap will save your settings into system automatically. after this, don't forget uninstalling it, this software isn't made very well.

if you have troubles with your gps: shutdown with gps enabled (whether if it works or not). the gps will initialize properly when next time the phone boots. or maybe you could use the libgps.so from 0.34pre (it have other problems with some device).

you have to set your Home Wallpaper and Lockscreen Wallpaper to something on sdcard before the first boot with JIT enabled, (and you can set them back after that: I have tried other HTC wallpapers except default). the workaround is found by klothius, thx .

Does the bluetooth problem have to do with changing the line. I've seen Cyanogen talk about this fix for some Eclair ROMs:

please make sure that you have installed driver properly. adb won't work if you install Google driver as a single device driver, and if you install HTC driver as a single device driver, DiskDrive will freeze your phone (but adb works directly). a little more details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6180261&postcount=986
our phone is "USB Composite Device", and windows has this driver included. you can try install it. after that, your PC will find new devices: one for adb (both Google and HTC's drivers will work), another for USB mass storage, and others don't have drivers (I will remove them if these two devices cause troubles) .
battery tips: you should make sure that services/apps like gps/maps could get data from internet properly. they may prevent the phone going to sleep when they think that the jobs are not done yet. and in some cases, they would forget to tell our phone "you can sleep now", so the phone would never sleep properly. if you encounter these problems, the only workaround is a reboot (as far as I know).

A: i have few time these days, no big steps on ROM development.
for the aosp ROM, i build some version and test them myself, but none of them are better than my last one, since I don't have time to tweak them. but if I found a big improve in the future, I will release a new one.
for the sources of kernel, i lost some key files of my modification of kernel .29, and I was working on kernel 2.6.32 when I had some little time these days. i think that i won't work on the .29 kernel again if I don't encounter big problems on .32.
so there is no sources I can post at current. and for .29 kernel, there isn't any changes after it was released. I use the same binary file in all my ROM too as you.
Q: why .32 (next release)?
A: I hope that .32 could fix most kernel and driver bugs in previous releases. if not, .32 will still be better than .29. btw, this ROM uses .29 (as same as previous) since .32 jobs are not done yet.
Q: will you update this SenseUI ROM ?
A: I think my friend ahmgsk will make a better one for you.
so when any other ROM that are good enough appear in next 2~3 days, I will stop to update. this one just shows what we could have.
my plan is, I will work on some programming and kernel jobs, and ahmgsk will make good ROMs.

can you report what works and not for you?
It's an official HTC Sense port so it should be very smooth. But there are things that are not going to work right away since it is from the Eris. So reports are appreciated.
Em ne chance that these very drivers will work with other stable eclair roms ?
Facebook+Contacts don't sync right away, I haven't figured out a way to sync it. Might have to do it manually?
I couldn't use Titanium back up, it said I didn't have root access. Installing busybox didn't work either.
No Live Wallpapers?
Pretty much it for me. I haven't tried the camera/camcorder
WiFi works though, which is great.

BT not working. can't even turn it on
LED light either? not sure on this one.
also as reported by sanpei, the preview after taking a picture appears weird but no biggie for me since the picture is correctly recorded
overall super, super, super smooth. got one freeze when flickering around settings and a sms comes in but other than that haven't got any issue in the past ... 5 hrs.
edit1: LED not lighting up even when charging.
edit2: forgot to mention that there's no Mount USB option when plugged.
Thanks for the quick work getting a 32A port of the Eris 2.1 dump.
Some noted bugs:
1.) 3G connection does NOT work for me. It shows the 3G icon but will act as if no connection is available. WiFi works, however.
2.) LED sensors not working (as said earlier)
3.) Screen issue when taking pictures with HTC Camera (also noted)
4.) When first starting up phone on first boot, when I reach HTC Setup Wizard I get a force close on android.process.media. Doesn't seem to affect anything though.
EDIT: for Issue 4, my 3G connection issue was fixed when I flashed HeroDroid's WiFi/LED Sensor fix from his Hero port (no, LED lights still don't work).

Everything works great! However, I too had a problem with 3G and WiFi after installation. But I was in a rush, so I never tried to fix it.. Turns out, it fixed itself sometime over the course of 30min.. Not sure what's up, though.

I would not say "it is very fast", but I feel it fast enough. and if you do not care about the multi-media things, i think this build seems not bad.
(for the multi-media things, they are mostly caused by media libs in AOSP, which google have not done yet. (but i cannot understand why nexus-one can have a stable version !!!) it is not all the HTC/Qualcomm's fault, Google didn't do their job very well too)
if there are something I missed, or I made some mistake, don't be sulkiness plz. i will fix them with you. let us make it better and make more 32A user switching to new Radio, with more users, we can do better and more quickly.
file/things includes:
AOSP master, I keep it at the API version 5, because things with API 7 for other devices (except nexus1) are not stable, i don't want to pretend that we have a nexus1, and make things unstable.
su and superusers from ChainsDD.
kernel which i modified from msm-kernel-2.6.29.
libhtc_ril.so, omx libs are from a leaked official 2.x ROM. camera libs, libgps.so from another one. (thanks the man who provided them)
libhtc_acoustic.so and some miscs files from official 1.5 ROM. akmd too, but akmd from 1.6 ROM have newer version and i think it will works too.
google bits are come from different sources too:
Gallery3D/google framework parts from nexusone dump, i think Enomther deodexed them, thank you and I LOVE YOU.
Other google's things are versions used everywhere, and here are my thanks to the one dumped them --> m(_ _)m.
cyanogen's patch which is directed towards infinite sync. it may be a temporary workaround, when google do things right, i will remove it.

more: lock screen and wallpaper is the eclair's initial one as AOSP source released with them. if you want other lock screen, customize it yourself, and tell me how ^^, I'm really not a good cooker .
known issues and workaround:
1. camcorder can not record, but it didn't crash anything as previous one (with my kernel, from jnwhiteh) would crash some.
2. video playback has many errors the video can be played though. just reported by logcat, and no more thing will happen in my tests.
3. if you stay in the Gallery3D UI, and the phone sleeps later, when it wake up, the Gallery3D lost hardware acceleration. you can quit and enter this app again, it will be fine.
4. first boot with google bits may not go without a hitch. you can remove all google apps in the zip (you must resign it) and push them later.if you boot with googlebits:
you will see a dialog let you choose the default behavior, select SetupWizard here. if you select another, you can not use internet during the first boot, it will say "no connection", though we are connected.
the SetupWizard will start twice, the second one is for asking you to sign in a google account, you can just press menu to quit.
and there are many lags in first boot, maybe black screen (can not light, you can "adb reboot" it) or some crash (i have met once for each and I flash it serveral times) if you operate too fast.
after second boot, it will works fine. it seems if we give the phone more time to do many initialize jobs, it will work happily even in first run.
5. with superuser, if you select deny, the app which needed the permissions may be force closed. it is a bug in su sources i used which is not belong to me and i have no time to look and fix it yet.
update:
6. when wake up the phone, screen turned on, but backlight of screen not. if you can see image, just go to setting and set brightness, then the light will open. need more reports (like situation/logcat/dmesg, etc.) to locate the problem. i encountered this problem once.
7. "died in sleep", this problem has been encountered by others, personally, i met it once during first run, after a reboot I never met it again. but I don't think this problem just appears during first run. instead, i think the situation of first run is more closed to the condition triggering it.
I think there must be more problems, let us find them together, and fix them by our hands.
update: after some search I found that some softwares (like nettraffic) will cause more "died in sleep" in some ROM/kernel/Radio combination. and many kinds of "died in sleep" can be avoid with some tweaks, but i don't know if they are same problems as ours, and i can not get what this tweaks are (or why, how..) from anywhere yet.
i am waiting for more details to fix 6 & 7. I will be grateful if someone can provide some info about similar problems, since I had seen these problems in some other ROM/kernel/Radio combination.
and guys who encountered these problems, could you provide more details plz? something like: occurred during first run/other, with situation XX (mobile/wifi/software X running, etc) which you think it caused the problem occurred more often. if you can reproduce it, we will get very closed to fixing them.

I will look into this, but I cannot locate this problem quickly, since I just met it once during a first boot, and it never appears again.
is it like the situation "die in sleep" in some build which are based on CyanogenMod? (when i was using old radio)

Hi Guys,
Sorry for the lame newb questions. I just want to verify this prior to trying this ROM.
I'm currently using CursorSense 1.0.1 - which is my every day ROM (great functionality, fast, does everything I need)
I'm really interested in trying out Android 2.1 - and seeing as this uses the same SPL / Radio - it means I should be able to just wipe and flash this one. HOwever seeing as I just want to take a peek and play around with it, I don't want to screw up everything on my phone toooo badly lol.
If I do a nand backup - wipe and flash this new ROM, when I'm done, can I do a wipe, then reflash the nandroid backup and everything will go back to the way I have it setup now?
Also will anything get screwed up on my SD card leaving it as it is flopping from one ROM to the other and then back (it's non partitioned, and loaded with misc folders created from my apps)

Yes.. backup, wipe, flash, try, wipe, restore.. I even think that last wipe isn't even necessary, but it doesn't harm either. A Nandroid restore restores your phone exactly as you left it (incl. your call log, SMS, apps, etc.)
It could be that some new folders/files are created on your SD card (if required by Eclair apps), but since they are not used by your previous rom it won't be a problem (unless you don't want to keep those unused folders and files on your SD card).
If you are not sure, or don't want to keep the extra folders/files, you can always make a backup of your SD card on a USB or PC prior to trying the rom.

Yes. You can restore from nandroid backup and everything will go back. I often switch between CursorSense 0.4 and sanpei's rom several times a day.

The ROM is well done. It's responsive (no lag from my playing) even the 3d gallery ran very well.
I didn't use it too long for everyday items as I'm a Sense fan, however I find that standard plain Android is pretty empty when I don't have my sense stuff on top lol.
Definately play around with it if you're interested.

Been testing it for a few hours. So far not a single FC and i can confirm that BT works just fine, also OBEX with Bluetooth File Transfer by medieval software.
SMS and emails send and get received just fine.
Tested the GPS in both google maps and the GPS status app to check efficiency, and so far everything works just fine.
The gallery is really sexy, now we just need to get the Nexus1 apps-menu implemented .
Actually there are three other things i'd like implemented also:
Animated desktop
Wireless tether
Google Nav
What do people think about that?

I wish I had some idea of how to do those things, then I would surely try help doing it.
For the last couple of days I've been trying to get Eclair 3D acceleration running on 32A with old radio. I was somehow succesful so I decided to release one Sense based ROM port and one "plain" Eclair. I had succes with other ROMs though (not all of them, but a few).
This ROM is highly experimental! So bear that in mind. The only testing I've done is here on my own Magic - I am not using any ext3/ext4 partition for app2sd, for example, so I'm not sure how it behaves if you use one. I can't say I would recommend it for the daily use, it seems too unstable/unreliable to me, but YMMV.
I've added a few things here and there that are essential to me like Market Enabler, More Locale 2, some ringtone and notification files. I've also changed the default analog clock (the Android widget, not HTC widget) to Pulse clock.
Thanks to:
Kingclick (obviously), ahmgsk, Cyanogen and all the other devs working on his kernel source, Amon_RA, all OpenEclair devs, polyrhytmic, dzo, vilord and many others.
What seems to work:
- 3D acceleration works for the most part. Meaning that from what I've tested, I can get Neocore (about 22fps in benchmark), Radiant, Armadillo Roll to run, but iDracula doesn't run for some reason (at all).
- Multitouch works. Multitouch enabled Google Maps 4.0 (by brut) included, the vanilla ones do not have working MT on this ROM.
- Camera works, including touch to focus - no video recording, though
- Youtube normal quality works
- Video playback works at least to some degree - I can play back videos recorded earlier with my phone
- GPS and accelerometer should work
What seems not to work:
- YouTube HD. Sorry.
- Bluetooth doesn't work at all. You can't even enable it, so don't try.
Known Issues:
- Rather slow on startup. Give it time to start up fully, even after you see the home screen. You may even get a few "App not responding - FC/Wait?" warnings - just click on Wait and give it more time.
- LED notifications are problematic - had to remove HeroLED to get at least some notifications, but all you get now is green, even if the app uses different color on older ROMs. No charging orange LED, too.
- Google Sync is problematic. After you sign in to your account, it syncs, but you don't get Contacts sync at all. To get them to sync, reboot phone, they'll sync after the reboot. Even then it seems like Auto Sync isn't really working or the rate of checking is quite long - I couldn't get Gmail auto sync to work. You can sync manually without problems, but auto sync seems a no go.
Note:
Take this port "as is" 'cause I probably won't support it much. I think of it more as a "proof of concept" that seems to cool to me not to share it with others, but I don't have enough time to offer full support or work on for days. Maybe I'll release another version someday, maybe not. Sorry. I'm just being honest here.

HTC_CIME is not included, wasn't in Kingclick's original ROM either, sorry. You may of course try to push it - if you have a standalone Donut HTC_CIME, it should work here as well, I think. But don't hold me to it.

Did you check the MD5 to see if the archive is not corrupted?

OK, Mediafire mirror is up again and should be fine now.
Just flashed it, but, after i change the wallpaper it freezez and restart's like a log off not a fully restart - it starts at the nexus boot screen, not mt3g screen.
The gallery is fantastic, works great, the tilt and angle works in the galley smooth but in landscape mode it freezez and/or i cant see anything, the menu flicks with no lag at all, the multi tuch is silky smooth. i'm waiting for another release to be less buggy but for now, for today, it's a keeper.

btw for the backport to 32B I think there might be something wrong with teh wlan module.
when I enable it, the rom keeps on rebooting, so might be something buggy here.
other then that works like a charm and really fast , compared to the original rom without 3d
I honestly don't know what is causing the problems with the wlan module. I've of course recompiled it for the 32B kernel, but still people seem to have problems with it.
But as I've said many times now, I don't own G1 nor 32B and neither have access to one, I've done the port "blind" as a proof of concept for the 3D part and had absolutely no way of debugging it properly. So I'm really sorry if it doesn't work as it should, but I really can't do anything about it. You just have to wait for the proper debugged 32B version of this ROM with working 3D to emerge. Kingclick mentioned yesterday that it's close.

For the last couple of days I've been trying to get Eclair 3D acceleration running on 32A with old radio. I was somehow succesful so I decided to release one Sense based ROM port and one "plain" Eclair. I had succes with other ROMs though (not all of them, but a few). Edit March 2nd - It now seems that it works on 32B/G1 as well, so I've added the porting package for those phones, see below.
This ROM is highly experimental! So bear that in mind. The only testing I've done is here on my own Magic - I am not using any ext3/ext4 partition for app2sd, for example, so I'm not sure how it behaves if you use one.
I've added a few things here and there that are essential to me like Market Enabler, More Locale 2, some ringtone and notification files and mixed in a few files from other Eclair ROMs to get a few things working. I've also changed the default analog clock (the Android widget, not HTC widget) to Pulse clock.
Thanks to:
ahmgsk (obviously), Kingclick, Cyanogen and all the other devs working on his kernel source, Amon_RA, all OpenEclair devs, polyrhytmic, dzo, vilord and many others.
What seems to work:
- 3D acceleration seems to work fine. I can get about 20fps in Neocore benchmark. I've also tested Radiant, Armadillo Roll and iDracula and they all seem to work. 3D Gallery works as well.
- Multitouch works
- Camera works, mostly - no video recording, though. If you take picture, it shows a garbled screen for a moment, but the picture itself is taken just fine.
- GPS and accelerometer work
- LED notifications work, all colors
- Bluetooth MIGHT work, needs testing. But you can enable it.
- Google Sync seems to work just fine
What seems not to work:
- YouTube and video playback in gallery doesn't work at all for now. Sorry.
Known Issues:
- Rather slow on startup. Give it time to start up fully, even after you see the home screen. You may even get a few "App not responding - FC/Wait?" warnings - just click on Wait and give it more time. But after it starts, it seems pretty fast to me. It's no SuperD, but still quite fast, I'd say.
- Live wallpapers are problematic and I'd recommend staying away from them. Some work (not very fast, though), some don't.
- Launcher 2 is problematic. I've kept it in the ROM and it certainly looks nice, but I've had all sorts of problems when I had it enabled, including long phone freezes, terrible lag in applications and other. I'd HIGHLY recommend just using the "normal" launcher (it's "Nexus style" anyway).
Note:
Take this port "as is" 'cause I probably won't support it much. I think of it more as a "proof of concept" that seemed too cool to me not to share it with others, but I don't have enough time to offer full support or work on it much these days. Maybe I'll release another version someday, maybe not. Sorry. I'm just being honest here.

It might, as I don't think the solution here is specific to 32A. I'll maybe try to make a 32B kernel soon and let someone test it. Right now, I've yet to hear about this working for someone else on 32A other than me

You're right, 3D is working
I tried it with SpeedX and Hyper Space, and they both are working. Not as fast as it would on a donut based rom (looks like the frame rate is a little lower) but they are absolutely working.
Launcher2 is still a bit laggy.
Some Live Wallpapers aren't working, they forced the phone to restart.
The gallery is working.
There are some bugs (like pressing the home button while in an app, will sometimes block my phone) that forced me to remove the battery.
This rom is not working enough for a daily use, but you did a great job.
Waiting for a bug fix Imma try the hero port now

BTW, as I've mentioned in the first post, I don't recommend using Launcher 2, it causes all sorts of weird issues with this ROM. And I also mention that live wallpapers are problematic and you should just stay away from them
Oh, and as for the framerates in 3D - in my experience they're actually slightly higher on average than with my own SuperD port I'm now using as a day-to-day ROM (I miss Sense UI, but 1.5 is starting to lag behind on all the interesting stuff, so...).

I'll try to follow the progress of most Eclair ROMs but I'm gonna be quite busy for at least the next week or so, so no promises on any other updates or more ports (but I'd LOVE to have a reliable Sense UI ROM with Android 1.6 or higher, I can tell you that - Kinglick's Eclair Hero is close, but still not close enough to rely on it on day-to-day basis). I'm glad I managed to at least steal the weekend for Android for once and got this working, more or less.
lbcoder: Actually, there's really not much to patch. I've spent countless hours trying to port parts of the Kaiser kernel as discussed in one of the G1 forum threads, yet in the end I've ended up using pretty much just the plain vanilla Cyanogen Eclair kernel sources with only the camera code backported from the Donut sources to get the camera working (but I can certainly provide some kind of diff if need be).
Then there's the permission problem with /dev/msm_hw3dc and /dev/msm_hw3dm that on most Eclair ROMs needs fixing (chmod 666 and chmod 660 in init.rc, respectively).
And then it might or might not be an issue with the contents of /system/lib/egl and /system/lib/hw (and perhaps some other libs as well) which, I'm sorry to say, I've yet to fully test. Those from ahmgsk's AME Eclair seem to work, but looks to me like it's not exclusively just those, that it might work with some others as well. I know it's not very professional (but I've said it many times, I'm no dev and certainly no coder, I'm just determined and persistent ), but I honestly didn't have time to test those different libraries fully, sorry. I was just trying to get something as usable as possible and share it with others so they may perhaps investigate further. Though it somehow amazes me that I of all people got it working when there's so many people with coding and Android knowledge WAY beyond my own here (which is not that hard to achieve, anyway)

its no probs -> but i m glad 32A (old radio) users are getting this. i m working on hero rom i think i can try to get everything working
for now videos and all are working
now some widgets n network is remaining (mostly solved) v2 coming soon

What has been changed from the old to the new Radio/SPL to break the YouTube/Gallery video playback?
As for the "why?", that's a very good question I'd really like to know the answer to.
As for "what has changed" - the kernel has changed (had to for the ROM to work with the old radio) and with it all the "drivers". I'm not happy that YouTube and video doesn't work, but I don't have much time to investigate further right now. And until now, neither did Eclair 3D acceleration with the old radio, so I guess it's still progress.
I'm sure someone will figure it out eventually.
Added links for 32B/G1 porting package. Yes, 3D really seems to work on those phones as well.

download both zip files, apply zip one, then apply the 2nd one other the other.
replacing files wont work because of the files within the "META-INF" folder

Browsing Google for new roms to check out, review and breakdown for my own learning pleasure, I stumbled across this hero rom of Android 2.1 with SenseUI.

Tried to google search the archive name as well as the full 4shared link but couldn't find any articles about it anywhere. (If you know where its from let me know!)
Flashed it on my 32B Magic (MyTouch). This rom is INCREDIBLE. Booted up from flash to setup in less than 3 minutes, everything in setup ran smoothly and quickly (with one exception, I'll note below).
This is SO FAST, right off the bat, no SetCPU, no nothing, AND THE PHONE COMES UP INSTANTLY WHEN RECEIVING A CALL! No force closes so far, no non responding apps, NOTHING.
I've found 2 problems with the rom - Gmail setup can't seem to find a data connection (but the browser and IM clients do - weird? is this a CDMA rom? How do I check?) and the homescreen reboots anytime you hit the "Home" button - but it only takes a second or two to finish. I'm going to fly spare parts onto it and see if I can keep home in memory.
If anyone knows who's rom this is, let me know! Also, if it IS a CDMA rom, can someone port it to GSM? About Phone says this is the HTC Hero, but the Kernel says it is "Unavailable".
TRY THIS ROM, ITS AWESOME! If I can get gmail to work and the home app to stay in memory this will be my daily rom until CR brings his Slide rom out of beta and it runs this fast.

I'm working on building off of this rom - but I'm not copying and pasting in a ktichen, I'm actually working to rewrite code, replacing drivers, updating with a new kernel and above all else, making the apps work together. Right now I'm working to fix sync and make the prgram list actually display all the installed apps. This is tedious work, but Ill update you guys on my progress as it happens. I think this is a great rom to build off of because from the start, its super fast and as long as I keep speed in mind as I work on the rom, I think the end result will be a good one. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them, both for fixes and modifications to this rom. I'm new to android development so I'm doing a hell of a lot of reading right now but I'm a 8 year programmer and do it for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, so it's not like programming is new to me - just the android side of it. I'd like to thank Cyanogen fo his wealth of tutorials, repositories, and tips because most of the stuff I'm reading and learning was written by him.

[5/9/10] On the google sync issue - I originally thought it was a Hero caching problem, having found a ton of information of this happening on stock hero devices, but it turns out it wasn't. In the process of discovering this, I've also found out why the installed apps don't show in the Rosie app list. Its a bug with how this rom was built in SDK version 6, when the original Hero rom from HTC was build in 7, it was backported (not sure if I have the correct terminology there), breaking a few things. I'm going to recompile in 7, fix the system date format (which is also causing an error in the Google sync) and hopefully get sync working, then I can start looking at other minor bugs and optimization.

PS - somebody find out where this rom came from so I can give proper credit to the original developer(s)!!!
Edit: I'm told this is Drizzy's original Hero 2.1 (Thanks Chris!) with broken drivers. I'm going to try to contact Eugene to see what modifications he made and also check through online documentation to figure driver **** out. Props to Drizzy/Eugene - this build may be more or less broken (well, it was your first and you had plenty of updates to it since then) but damn, nice job on such a fast rom, its awesome even for alpha.
im a little scared to try it...so i wont zackattacks 2.1 1.1 hero is fast enough and stable enough for me right now.

Yeah, I found reviews from this gamercore guy, but he doesn't say where he got it or who made it. He does rom reviews. You can find a bunch of his rom reviews on youtube - I doubt he makes them all, but I could be wrong.
He just review roms.. By the way this was uploaded last year must be 1.5 hero not 2.1 Old news

Could be - but I don't think so, this thing is old, uploaded last year, I can't get ZX's 2.1 hero to work and I haven't seen a ZX Team update on their 2.1 Sense threads on here or on androidspin, plus this one has a ton of extra features, like the animated browser progress bar from the original espresso rom.

this port only have very little modification from original official ROM, some kernel driver tweaks, camera libs replacement, our bt firmware, sensors files and root.
first boot could be not very smooth. screen may go blank, if you would encounter this problem, just wait for a while, and press some keys. when you make all your settings done, a reboot is highly recommended. I have used it daily now.

* it could work under windows, but you must enable netshare in settings, and not in notification area. and you must disable netshare in settings if you want to use DiskDrive.
plz don't turn mobile network setting off when wifi is on. HTC's software will disable netsharing and uninstall the driver when you turn off mobile network.

just setprop sanpei.buttonlight.delay 20 (in sec) when phone is running, or set it in build.prop. plz report any issues.
*** I don't test the non-OC version myself yet, if you encountered any problem plz tell me, since it have lower frequency when you don't touch the phone.
and if the screen doesn't turn on during boot with OC version, plz press red button to close screen then press any other button to active the screen.
this issues happened once when first time I used this ROM after it was ported, though we don't have a kernel OCed that time. so I had said "first boot could be not very smooth" before. now I found that with higher CPU freq, it will happen more frequently.
so I won't support higher frequency at current. they are not so stable as I considered before. maybe you think that we could boot it with a lower frequency then use higher after boot. but I think if it have troubles when booting, it will have more troubles in heavily usage.

other little tweaks, not very important
for developers, many modules are included, you could check the modules folder. but I don't enable things like compcache by default. OC is not included, my phone is heated and I don't want to take a risk before I could have time to verify it carefully.

you should turn off bt after using it. a component of bt will prevent the phone going to sleep when bt is turned on. I will try to find a solution when I have time.
I don't want to use HTC's kernel. because they have some other bugs too. fixing bugs in HTC's kernel is less valuable than our current way. and you know, maybe we should try android 2.2 later.
so we must stay at aosp kernel and adapt it to run both AOSP and HTC's ROM. and I think these jobs could be done. all the problems are just time, time and time.
btw, it's not "my own kernel", it is the aosp kernel, I just did some repairing for our purpose

so we must stay at aosp kernel and adapt it to run both AOSP and HTC's ROM. and I think these jobs could be done. all the problems are just time, time and time.
btw, it's not "my own kernel", it is the aosp kernel, I just did some repairing for our purpose

but by saying "turn off bluetooth after using it" makes me quit of trying all those custom roms with this particular kernel
bluetooth, its a feature i use all the time, every day, so i personally quit flashing until problem is solved

.33 is a experimental project by Google, and our device won't get benefits from the increased digit. I will only work on kernels which will be chosen by Google and other manufacturers. and sadly, for some nonsense reason, I and some people couldn't work together.

i am really sorry for that. when I was fixing the battery drains, I don't know much about the right behaviors that bt features should have. so I just leave the prevent-sleep mechanism there because I think it is necessary.
and now I don't have enough time as before. but from you and others, I know what the right behaviors are. I will try to fix it in next release, for people who use bt heavily.

yes (we should make more things could be controlled by users in the long run), but not now.
we still have some issues that are important to other users, though personally, I don't use those features heavily.
my order:
1. lights in Sense ROM for other devices and battery drains when bt is on
2. android 2.2 or big improvements in android 2.2 (port them to daily usable ROM)
3. default USB netsharing, netsharing under windows and other features like this
4. other hardware supports and features like CPU freq control.
5. some hidden bugs in aosp sources or htc drivers we used (though they don't affect anything in most cases)
hope I could get enough time end of this month and next month, then I could repair/add one or two of them.
I only referenced the .33 kernel since that's what's used on cyanogen 5 series mod, and if it could be adapted to the new radio it would be a good way for us to have CM5 with the modifications cyanogen and otheres sometimes do to the kernel. Just my 2 cents
