CAUTION: for daily use, I feel this port are stable enough for many people. but it may not suitable for others. and it is a bit slow at sometime. I won't optimize it at current, since the speed is acceptable, and I must keep it "clean" to avoid any hidden bugs before we can get all things working properly.
plz don't touch your phone until everything have been loaded completely. I also can't suffer the speed during something are loading after boots. after everything have been loaded and use the phone for a while, I feel the speed is fine personally.
wipe and flash in recovery, and you should delete the generated files (by android) in your sd card.

though they were developed with HERO port, but I think it could be used in all my ports.
eris port is stable enough (but it is still a leaked and undone version, so maybe it has some hidden bugs.). and it is faster than legend one. but it looks rather old, and features are less. it doesn't have apps like friend stream; the browser doesn't have some functions; etc. it is for CDMA phone, so simcard operations are missed. i.e. you couldn't disable simcard contacts.
for MMS, you can use MmsZap which has been included in the ROM, set the fields (you could copy them from your APN) then press "back", MmsZap will save your settings into system automatically. after this, don't forget uninstalling it, this software isn't made very well.

if you have troubles with your gps: shutdown with gps enabled (whether if it works or not). the gps will initialize properly when next time the phone boots. or maybe you could use the libgps.so from 0.34pre (it have other problems with some device).

you have to set your Home Wallpaper and Lockscreen Wallpaper to something on sdcard before the first boot with JIT enabled, (and you can set them back after that: I have tried other HTC wallpapers except default). the workaround is found by klothius, thx .

Does the bluetooth problem have to do with changing the line. I've seen Cyanogen talk about this fix for some Eclair ROMs:

please make sure that you have installed driver properly. adb won't work if you install Google driver as a single device driver, and if you install HTC driver as a single device driver, DiskDrive will freeze your phone (but adb works directly). a little more details: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6180261&postcount=986
our phone is "USB Composite Device", and windows has this driver included. you can try install it. after that, your PC will find new devices: one for adb (both Google and HTC's drivers will work), another for USB mass storage, and others don't have drivers (I will remove them if these two devices cause troubles) .
battery tips: you should make sure that services/apps like gps/maps could get data from internet properly. they may prevent the phone going to sleep when they think that the jobs are not done yet. and in some cases, they would forget to tell our phone "you can sleep now", so the phone would never sleep properly. if you encounter these problems, the only workaround is a reboot (as far as I know).

A: i have few time these days, no big steps on ROM development.
for the aosp ROM, i build some version and test them myself, but none of them are better than my last one, since I don't have time to tweak them. but if I found a big improve in the future, I will release a new one.
for the sources of kernel, i lost some key files of my modification of kernel .29, and I was working on kernel 2.6.32 when I had some little time these days. i think that i won't work on the .29 kernel again if I don't encounter big problems on .32.
so there is no sources I can post at current. and for .29 kernel, there isn't any changes after it was released. I use the same binary file in all my ROM too as you.
Q: why .32 (next release)?
A: I hope that .32 could fix most kernel and driver bugs in previous releases. if not, .32 will still be better than .29. btw, this ROM uses .29 (as same as previous) since .32 jobs are not done yet.
Q: will you update this SenseUI ROM ?
A: I think my friend ahmgsk will make a better one for you.
so when any other ROM that are good enough appear in next 2~3 days, I will stop to update. this one just shows what we could have.
my plan is, I will work on some programming and kernel jobs, and ahmgsk will make good ROMs.

can you report what works and not for you?
It's an official HTC Sense port so it should be very smooth. But there are things that are not going to work right away since it is from the Eris. So reports are appreciated.
Em ne chance that these very drivers will work with other stable eclair roms ?
Facebook+Contacts don't sync right away, I haven't figured out a way to sync it. Might have to do it manually?
I couldn't use Titanium back up, it said I didn't have root access. Installing busybox didn't work either.
No Live Wallpapers?
Pretty much it for me. I haven't tried the camera/camcorder
WiFi works though, which is great.

BT not working. can't even turn it on

also as reported by sanpei, the preview after taking a picture appears weird but no biggie for me since the picture is correctly recorded
overall super, super, super smooth. got one freeze when flickering around settings and a sms comes in but other than that haven't got any issue in the past ... 5 hrs.
edit1: LED not lighting up even when charging.
edit2: forgot to mention that there's no Mount USB option when plugged.
Thanks for the quick work getting a 32A port of the Eris 2.1 dump.
Some noted bugs:
1.) 3G connection does NOT work for me. It shows the 3G icon but will act as if no connection is available. WiFi works, however.
2.) LED sensors not working (as said earlier)
3.) Screen issue when taking pictures with HTC Camera (also noted)
4.) When first starting up phone on first boot, when I reach HTC Setup Wizard I get a force close on android.process.media. Doesn't seem to affect anything though.
EDIT: for Issue 4, my 3G connection issue was fixed when I flashed HeroDroid's WiFi/LED Sensor fix from his Hero port (no, LED lights still don't work).

Everything works great! However, I too had a problem with 3G and WiFi after installation. But I was in a rush, so I never tried to fix it.. Turns out, it fixed itself sometime over the course of 30min.. Not sure what's up, though.

this port only have very little modification from original official ROM, some kernel driver tweaks, camera libs replacement, our bt firmware, sensors files and root.
first boot could be not very smooth. screen may go blank, if you would encounter this problem, just wait for a while, and press some keys. when you make all your settings done, a reboot is highly recommended. I have used it daily now.

known issues and workaround:

if you find infinite logs about database queries which are generated by bt components, what I know is a reboot, or kill the bluetooth process
APN list shows nothing (unless your mobile operator is Chungwa in Taiwan), plz manually add your APN
* it could work under windows, but you must enable netshare in settings, and not in notification area. and you must disable netshare in settings if you want to use DiskDrive.
plz don't turn mobile network setting off when wifi is on. HTC's software will disable netsharing and uninstall the driver when you turn off mobile network.
** dev could set the button led timeout now.
just setprop sanpei.buttonlight.delay 20 (in sec) when phone is running, or set it in build.prop. plz report any issues.
*** I don't test the non-OC version myself yet, if you encountered any problem plz tell me, since it have lower frequency when you don't touch the phone.
and if the screen doesn't turn on during boot with OC version, plz press red button to close screen then press any other button to active the screen.
this issues happened once when first time I used this ROM after it was ported, though we don't have a kernel OCed that time. so I had said "first boot could be not very smooth" before. now I found that with higher CPU freq, it will happen more frequently.
so I won't support higher frequency at current. they are not so stable as I considered before. maybe you think that we could boot it with a lower frequency then use higher after boot. but I think if it have troubles when booting, it will have more troubles in heavily usage.

other little tweaks, not very important
for developers, many modules are included, you could check the modules folder. but I don't enable things like compcache by default. OC is not included, my phone is heated and I don't want to take a risk before I could have time to verify it carefully.

you should turn off bt after using it. a component of bt will prevent the phone going to sleep when bt is turned on. I will try to find a solution when I have time.
I don't want to use HTC's kernel. because they have some other bugs too. fixing bugs in HTC's kernel is less valuable than our current way. and you know, maybe we should try android 2.2 later.
so we must stay at aosp kernel and adapt it to run both AOSP and HTC's ROM. and I think these jobs could be done. all the problems are just time, time and time.
btw, it's not "my own kernel", it is the aosp kernel, I just did some repairing for our purpose

.33 is a experimental project by Google, and our device won't get benefits from the increased digit. I will only work on kernels which will be chosen by Google and other manufacturers. and sadly, for some nonsense reason, I and some people couldn't work together.

i am really sorry for that. when I was fixing the battery drains, I don't know much about the right behaviors that bt features should have. so I just leave the prevent-sleep mechanism there because I think it is necessary.
and now I don't have enough time as before. but from you and others, I know what the right behaviors are. I will try to fix it in next release, for people who use bt heavily.

yes (we should make more things could be controlled by users in the long run), but not now.
we still have some issues that are important to other users, though personally, I don't use those features heavily.
my order:
1. lights in Sense ROM for other devices and battery drains when bt is on
2. android 2.2 or big improvements in android 2.2 (port them to daily usable ROM)
3. default USB netsharing, netsharing under windows and other features like this
4. other hardware supports and features like CPU freq control.
5. some hidden bugs in aosp sources or htc drivers we used (though they don't affect anything in most cases)
hope I could get enough time end of this month and next month, then I could repair/add one or two of them.
I only referenced the .33 kernel since that's what's used on cyanogen 5 series mod, and if it could be adapted to the new radio it would be a good way for us to have CM5 with the modifications cyanogen and otheres sometimes do to the kernel. Just my 2 cents
Welcome To VegaComb BETA 1.7!
Apologies that this has been so long in the making, I haven't been sitting idly by, but real-life responsibilities mean that I don't have anywhere near the time to work on the Vega as I once did. BUT, we are ready for a BETA 1.7 release! So, without further ado, here is what I can remember of the changelog:
Rebel1's 3G patch is now built-in to this build by default.
The /data/tombstones folder will now be automatically cleared out every reboot, to try and avoid it devouring all of your available /data space. This is a stop-gap until I can fix the problem fully.
The default Browser has been edited to remove the Asus homepage and replace it with Google, also TabletRoms.com has been added as the first bookmark.
Default dictionaries have been added to the default keyboard by popular demand! Languages are: En, De, Cs, Es, Fr, It and Nl. You will have to enable dictionary suggestions in the Keyboard settings to see these.
Default system wallpaper has been changed from the boring blue stock Honeycomb one to a much nicer abstract wallpaper.
A whole multitude of wallpapers have been added to the built-in Wallpaper-Picker, this is a mix of the nicest wallpapers I could find from the Acer Iconia, the Asus Transformer, the Motorola Xoom and some custom ones from around the net!
The Youtube app has been re-hacked to dramatically increase the quality of videos. The HQ option now works correctly to switch between high and low quality, and (while not 720p) the higher setting is VERY crisp and clear compared to before.
FLASH! Ahhhhahahahhh (think Queen). download the OFFICIAL flash player from the market (10.3 currently), download Opera Mobile from the market, watch flash. Simples. Green bar glitching, ghosting and other flash strangeness should now have been all fixed. Flash video can still be a little jerky as it is being rendered in software, overclock to get around this if you feel you have to (but it does work well at the default speed!)! BIG thanks to brucelee666 for this, when my transfer cable broke, he picked up and did a ton of testing to get this working!
Brand new (extra shiny) boot animation has been added. HUGE thanks to ThinkDevoid from the TabletROMs team for creating this for me!
The required default /system partition size for all future VegaComb releases is 155mb, we now have much more room to play with which removed a HUGE limitation that was actively holding me back!

Before you update using either the 1.6-1.7 upgrade patch, or install 1.7 from scratch, you MUST be running my new ModdedStock base as this increases the /system partition size to make VegaComb BETA 1.7 fit. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS THE INSTALL WILL NOT WORK CORRECTLY AND YOU WILL SOFTBRICK YOUR VEGA! Please fully read the ModdedStock thread to make sure you understand how this works!
I have been working HEAVILY in conjunction with MrGuy of TabletROMs now for a while, and especially on BETA 1.7 (Thank him for many things including the awesome YouTube app hack). Together we have now not only updated VegaComb, but now AdamComb as well for the NotionInk Adam. Vega owners owe a lot to MrGuy, so show him your love people!

Spare Parts settings fixed - Setting power button to "Home, then sleep" now works correctly.

Possible fix to GPS issues but this cannot be tested by me (unfortunately!).
Added a seperate download for an EXPERIMENTAL FlashPlayer hack. This hack unfortunately does not fix flash video playback on most sites (YouTube and BBC iPlayer do not work for example, but the small videos on the Yahoo news website do). What this hack DOES fix, is most other Flash applications, such as web games etc. Using this patched version of Flash, Kongregate Arcade should work correctly, as well as other apps such as Zoodles Kid Mode that use flash within the application to play games. Please use this at your own risk and report the results! Trying to play flash video using this patched version WILL crash your browser, you have been warned ;)

This patch simply fixes a small issue with Wifi in 1.5, you can use the 1.4to1.5.1 patch to either upgrade from 1.4 to 1.5.1, or to patch 1.5 to 1.5.1 if you had already flashed it and have the issue :) Apologies for the bug!

Hello all! We are back, as promised! The release cycle is slowing down a little now as expected, but we still have some damn juicy treats for you in the BETA 1.5 package :) So, without mucking about, here is what's changed since 1.4:
Speed... I spoke about this a little in the [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMqeqcRh5pM"]development update I put on youtube[/URL], but just to clarify here... We were not happy with the overall speed of the ROM in BETA 1.4. While repairing the stability issues in 1.3, we went a little overboard with "safe" settings, making 1.4 rock solid, but noticeably slower than previous releases. We didn't want to reach a "happy medium" with part-speed and part stability... and so, there has been a full review of all the memory settings, testing dozens of combinations until we reached a setup that offers both impressive speed (at least the speed of 1.3 IMO) without (hopefully!) any of the reliability drawbacks. And so, our hope is that 1.5 will be both the fastest, AND most stable release so far!
Bluetooth should now be fully working, searching and pairing has been tested with several devices, so pair away!
The Screenshot option in the Display section of Settings was causing Force Closes, this is now fixed, so you can take screenshots of your VegaComb tablet in action :)
The 3G APN (and related) settings should now be correctly visible in the settings menu, for those of you with 3G cards.
Issue which was causing the Launcher to sometimes Force Close on boot should now be fixed.
Problem with the media scanner not correctly locating music on the MicroSD card is now resolved.
Overclock increased back to a maximum of 1.5ghz.
Xpad support should now be available again (to connect Xbox pads over USB).
The Dreaded blue light of DOOM under the camera has been banished to the fourth dimension of hell.
Force Close problem when downloading from the stock browser or Gmail/Email apps should now be fixed.
Force close that was sometimes plaguing the recent apps menu should now be fixed.
Google maps framework has been added. this was previously causing certain apps (such as Tweetdeck) to immediately force close when you logged in. These apps should now be working correctly.
We have had a whip-around and provided the Honeycombs on the boot screen with an extra face each (PHEW! Pedants, move along, nothing to see here :P)
Shutdown menu has now been put in place (thanks to the AMAZING work of HomerSp), it is not the ordinary power menu, but a lovely custom one that provides you with the options for: Home, Shut Down, Reboot and Reboot to Recovery!
Because of the new shutdown menu, the recovery reboot app has now been removed (not needed!).
Added working screen calibration app. This will help with most issues (like home/back buttons) but does not fix the top-of-screen sensitivity issue as of yet I'm afraid!
App drawer has been edited to remove the bottom row of icons, so you can now better access the screen previews below them when placing a shortcut :)
Again, there may be other stuff that was fixed and forgotten :P Let us know if you find anything!
[B][I]I also want to make an important note for those who are confused... I am NOT working on this ROM alone, this has been a group effort from the start. Originally worked on by myself and Corvus (with help from the guys here at TabletROMS. Since then we hooked up with HomerSp (LEGEND!) who does magic things with Android that I really don't understand (some say he's a clone grown at google), and the project has moved in leaps and bounds. Unfortunately, Corvus has recently been forced to back out of this project due to time limitations in his real life, with work and family, so now it is primarily myself and Homer who work on VegaComb. [b]Welcome to VegaComb BETA 1.4 - Codename: Arnold Veganator (Hasta La Vista Processes)![/b]
As promised! BETA 1.3 was more of a features update, trying to get the ROM more in-line with where we would like it giong forwards, cleaning up files, opimizing and getting as much as possible working. We realized at that time that tehre were memory issues with the build, but we are trying to take a modulated approach to developing this ROM, so one step at a time :)
1.4 is primarily a performance release. You won't see any HUGE new features here (other than Huawei 3g support, thanks to rebel1!) but a lot has gone on in the background to try and make this ROM useable as your daily OS. Memory values have been tweaked, the kernel has been re-compiled with HoneyComb specifically in mind and (hopefully!) all of the freezes and hard lockups present in 1.3 have now been eradicated.
[b]Changes in BETA 1.4[/b]:
Kernel has been recompiled from scratch (thanks to @HomerSp!) gearing it for HoneyComb. [I]Some features such as xpad support are not yet present in this kernel, they will be added back in soon, but there shouldn't be much other than that.[/I]
Kernel bug that was preventing lowmemorykiller from working effectively has been fixed in this build.
Memory tweaks made in init to values better suited to both the Vega and to Honeycomb.
CPU clocking now defaults to 1ghz instead of 1.5, the top-end has been lowered down to 1.4 for now (this will be put back to 1.5 hopefully in the next release). Install SetCPU (from XDA) or download CPU Master from the market (free) to overclock if you want.
Support for Huawei 3G dongles added (HUGE thanks to rebel1 for this patch!) - this has NOT been tested as of yet, as I don't own a 3g dongle! :P
EGL patch tweaked slightly taking a new approach, hopefully making this simpler to manage in the future.
The issue where the battery indicator was not updating correctly MAY be fixed in this build (not 100% confirmed yet)
Replaced an icon I missed when the BACK button is pressed (oops!)
Adjusted a couple of apps to save some space in /system.

[B]Changes in BETA 1.3[/B]
Switched to Transformer Frameworks - Better fit for our hardware and to stay in line with what the Adam guys are doing.
New frameworks are more streamlined, should make the UI feel snappier overall.
Framework edited which should allow all web related apps to render correctly (not flash)!
[i]This means that you can now use browsers you download from the market like Miren and Dolphin, and news readers such as Pulse will now work.[/i]
Wifi issue that caused you to need to reboot after the first flash before Wifi would turn on is now fixed. You can connect straight away after flashing the ROM!
Corporate email setup added to Accounts & sync (all security settings work correctly, but remote wipe does not factory restet the device as of yet, but is does disconnect the emails).
Screenshot function added (select in Settings > Display). You can take screenshots by long-press of the Recent Apps softkey.
The Calendar app is back from Vacation and ready to organize your life.
The Books app has gotten over it's shyness and now shouldn't dissapear shortly after boot. This is still slightly strange so it might go walkies if you don't pin it down :/
Working Recovery Reboot app added, this one works so you no longer need gscript to reboot to recovery! (thanks to Paul O'Brien for this app!)
VegaComb Beta simple boot logo added.
REALLY annoying black fade on the right-side when using the notifications popup has been removed as it refused to display correctly.
MicroSD card now correctly displays as what it is, instead of showing as Internal USB storage.
Moving apps to the MicroSD should now work correctly, and apps launch fine, even if you have USB debugging turned on.
USB external storage now shows correctly, and gives a notification when it is plugged in (you can click on the notification to browse files or dismount the USB storage).
Can now correctly mount FAT, EXT and NTFS USB storage and browse through the file browser.
When you connect the Vega to the PC with your USB cable, you now get a notification allowing you to mount your SD card over the USB to share your files!
Doubled the ammount of memory that was available to apps in order to try and combat some of the freeze-up issues (MAKE SURE YOU WIPE DALVIK CACHE WHEN YOU INSTALL THIS BETA!)

1a release is a very small patch to the installer script to make sure everything is installed correctly!
[B]What's new in BETA1?[/B]
This is a HUGELY new build, and has required a ton of testing, so please bear this in mind :P
Files have been streamlined and some slowdown bugs should have been fixed, you should see a nice little speed increase in this build.
SuperUser is FINALLY fixed! [B]No... I really mean it this time :P[/B]
WiFi has been patched. You will still have to reboot as it will lock the first time you try to turn it on, but after that it should be much more stable than before, and shouldn't require you to toggle WiFi on/off all the damn time.
The Dolby Audio section in the Settings menu was causing Force Close errors, so this has now been removed from the menu completely.
Web browser has been hacked to prevent you having to disable EGL rendering in order for it to work.
Gmail and Email apps have been FIXED. You can now read your emails in both apps, they should be working perfectly as far as I have tested.
Bluetooth libs and binaries have been added. Bluetooth now turns on without any errors, but I cannot yet confirm if it actually works. If someone tests this, please let me know!
WiFi has been patched to connect correctly to ad-hoc networks. So you can now tether your Vega to a phone such as the HTC Hero.
The whole image has been SHRUNK (massively) to fit into the Vega's default partition size. It's a hell of a squeeze, and some apps have had to be pushed to /data to make it fit. All of these are apps that can be re-downloaded from the market like maps etc) other than two, the Android keyboard (it's a huge file :P) and the Android Music app. If you prefer to use a different keyboard, you can remove this one, but if you wipe /data, you will have NO keyboard installed, and the world might implode :P
This is now a ClockworkMod image, designed to be used on the Vega's default partition tables, so DO NOT flash this over the top of ALPHA4. Re-flash 1.09 (or some other standard image) before installing this through CWM. You now have a healthy 293mb to play with in /data, so you can download stuff off the market without worrying like in ALPHA4 :)
OK, LOTS more stuff has changed, but I can't remember a lot of it, I'm sure it will come back to me, but my brain is a little fried right now and I need a beer :P

It is a mix of all 3. SDK, Transformer and Xoom. I took a few libs from the Xoom, as well as a ton of stuff from the Adam Transformer port and the SDK files factored in too. It's kind of a Frankenstein-monster effect going on Changed the title to reflect this!
Cool, great work. Am pretty certain the source will actually be released soon. Googles i/o is on tuesday and am sure this is when they are gunner announce or hopefully release the source for honeycomb, or possibly icecream, which will be a mashup of gingerbread and honeycomb am sure.

I'm staggered at how smooth H/C is from the video!
I did try but i had a falling out with nvflash so i'll look forward to a update.zip I can use, I assume when wifi is working!

i'd be surprised tbh!
I was under the impression from Advent we would be getting 2.3 and the source code has been out for quite some time and still nothing. yet you can get a CM nightly which is 2.3.4.
Unless they've had access to the H/C as a vendor and been working on that but some how i doubt it :S

Once again I am here seeking the help from developers for my phone. Which is not the XT720 (XT701 instead), but I really don't know where else to turn.
I was restless again, so then I went and started looking for roms. I found this one:
Speed XT701 2.2.1版 beta7 搞掂wifi
This is really new and is running CM6 based moto blur extremely smoothly. Search on google and click the first few links to see the interface. Amazing as always, the CM roms. The touch sensitivity is ON PAR with the Iphone 4. I was so glad that everything was working - Camera, SDcard, SERVICE, SMS, CALLING, all working so perfectly. It was completely different from the CM 7 mod.
And honestly, It really seems even faster than the CM7 rom. I read from the translated description that it is using "smart200mhz to 600 mhz" processing for superb battery and so on. It really does have a lot of attractive features and usual and completely destroys the 2.1 rom.
Now comes the horrible, devastating part. No wifi. .
I did the 3 wipes, updated, and 3 wipes again, and it still had no wifi.
Right now I'm really leaning towards sticking to this rom. My solution is to keep my backup of the 2.1 stock, and nandroid over to it when I need to so that I can download new apps, back then up in SD, and then nandroid back.
Can anyone please help me figure out how to get wifi? I'll donate from paypal if someone can help me resolve this wifi issue. . Just terrible, this problem. So close.

...what's that supposed to mean? I've never had a problem EVER with the phone registering my touches and my touches can be me barely touching the screen (i.e. I can't imagine how anything can actually be better than that).
Maybe he meant responsiveness of the UI? Just a guess. And yes I agree the touches on the phone is already very good in your sense.

For the touch sensitivity thing, I'm pretty sure its because I'm running 2.1, which is why the IPhone seemed faster with tracking my finger movement when I compared them side by side. The XT701 itself is already blazing fast, because I'ved used overclocking, setcpu, and memory manager, but then when I upgraded to this rom called the "speed beta 7" it was just overwhelming. I've never seen the phone so reactive.
The rom is a CM 6.1.2, android 2.2, so it would explain everything so much faster. I always thought I couldn't get the phone to be any faster, but this rom proved me wrong again.
Here is the link to the rom. I'm also going to be copying and pasting the post that the developers have along with the rom. It's going to be translated from Chinese into English, so it'll be rough. But you'll get the jist of what its saying.

Everything it says is true. It is fast as hell, no lag. The ONLY thing which is stopping me is the wifi, which bugs me even more, because it says here that Beta7 FIXED WIFI. I don't know why my wifi doesn't work!

Really? I've been using this so far it's great. I've never seen my phone be so responsive ever. But there is still no Wifi. Everytime I try to connect it says, Connecting, and then Disconnected. Because of that I haven't even logged in with my account. No wifi causes the phone to run even smoother, cause a lot of background apps aren't runnning

I just had a similar problem on the XT720 CM6. It turned out that wifi actually was working, but DNS lookup was not (I could use static IP in browser). I fixed it by replacing /system/xbin/busybox with a known-good version. You can test busyboxes with something like copying it to /tmp/busybox and then running (either via adb or terminal emulator):
/tmp/busybox nslookup android.com
Could you be a bit more specific Mioze7Ae. I have the busybox app; I don't think I have the terminal emulator. But I still don't understand what you mean.
I have Busybox app installed, and it says the "Status: Done!" after installing 1.18.4 :S.
As for the terminal emulator, I've heard of it but I don't have the app. So I install the app and then type that in the emulator?
EDIT: I just downloaded some Pro term emulator app. I turned on wifi, and then I typed in that code (cept I put xbin since I only installed it there) and it said:
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address 1: 8.8.8.8
nslookup: can't resolve 'android.com'
What does this mean? cause It just seems to me that my Wifi is still not working. Also, I've been seeing DNS around but I have no idea where to find it in my phone. Or DPN, something liek that but all I have in the Network settings is VPN and proxy, which is at default.
On a side note, could anyone help me find a working zip folder of Google apps for XT701/XT720/CM6? In the past I've installed them manually on android, and I've tried to use OR to flash the apps into my phone as well.

With wifi connected try using the browser to go to a website via ip address instead of name. For example http://50.23.231.74/ worked, even though http://xda-developers.com/ did not. If ip addresses don't work then probably you have a different problem.
My problem right now is that I cannot even connect to the router at home (or anywhere else). It just keeps saying scanning connecting, and then looping back to scanning.
Sad thing is, just today I flashed another CM6 rom by the name of update-cm-6.1.2-XT701-Milestone-signed-by-s.zip today, and wifi worked. But then, a ton of other things stopped working so I nandroided back.
It just doesn't make sense that Wifi wouldn't work for some and not for others. I am still way too unexperienced for android.
I found it from this website, http://xt701.ghostry.cn which is sort of a jackpot for me. It has the latest releases of ROMS from China/world all uploaded onto that site. I don't know if it will be much help for XT720 developers, but that site is extremely updated.
Another slight problem which I am also overlooking for the sake of Speed is the LED being unusable. I always relied on it when my phone was on silent for texts, but now It is just gone. Any ideas how to get it back=/? Thanks for your input anyways!
So wifi is still not working. I've been reading around that it has to do with the Radio img??!? I don't get it.
I do know that this ROM doesn't have a FM radio yet, but I don't know if it has to do with my wifi.
I also tried replacing my tiwlan_drv.ko with other versions of it, but it ended up in an Error. Is it possible for me to flash a CM6 rom with a working wifi, copy the tiwlan_drv.ko file from there, and then use it on this current ROM that is not working? Like using root explorer to replace the .ko with the other roms one?

i have now on my XT701 MIUI 1.12.30 Android 2.3.7 but i have some problems with network signal and when I try to call anybody the phone restarts! last night when I flased this ROM the calling was good. Strange!?!?

I am back with one of my builds. Again this is just result of my hobby, feel free to use it, but do it on your own risk. Also any updates will be probably sporadic.
I wanted to publish my build as quickly as possible, becasuse I promised in another thread. So I simply took, what I have (and I am using right now). As a result there some detail I`d like to change for public release like this for the future (e.g. all the special feature enabled by default, the big dmesg buffer). Be careful. I`ll try to do better version as soon as possible. I don`t recomend this for begginers. Be sure you have backup.
This build is based on the official LineageOS code and contains several of my changes. In some cases it could be considered as fix, improvement, but sometimes a hack or even even security risk, so please read carefully following list. All the changes I did because I wanted the system on my device behave that way (at least time to time). Take it or leave it. Please note, that all the features are enabled by default. Be careful.
- built-in root support
- RIL is based on stock KitKat version (works better for me than the official version)
- the sensors libraries are also from stock KitKat (same reason as above )
- barometer sensor is correctly recognized by the system
- the menu button does, what it always did
- notification led brightness can be configured by user
- entering safe mode by holding specific keys during boot can be disabled by setprop persist.safe_mode_disabled true (this has always only annoyed me, but be sure you know you are doing)
- device wakeup by power button can be disabled when proximity and light sensors are blocked (e.g. in a pocket). Execute setprop persist.pwrbtn_proximity_block true
- external sdcard can be made world writeable by setprop persist.world_writable_sdcard true (be careful with this one, this opens a security risk)
- the notification led can blink when the battery is fully charged - enable by setprop persist.blink_when_charged true
- F2FS support
- the notification icons are also on the lock-screen as they ware in
previous Android versions. The carrier name is moved above the clock
(this cannot be turned off)
- the dmesg buffer size is increased to 16M. I set this for debugging
and remove it in next published build.
- ramdisk LZMA compression support
- sdcardfs support - This is faster replacemnt for the FUSE filesystem. I backported this for higher kernel version. Although I`ve been using this for several months without any problem, please consider this experimental. Enable with setprop persist.sys.sdcardfs
force_on
- mount directories for sdcard are protected against writing while the sdcard is not mounted (this solves a race condition problem which allows some apps to create files in there)
- there some other small changes related to my multiboot envrionment, czech translation, carrier name, etc.
Source code
In the installation zip there is a directory code_info with following content:
roomservice.xml - roomservice.xml for the build
commits - list of git repositories and commits used for the build
patches - directory tree with structure reflecting the source and containing
patches for individual projects. The idea (not always followed) is that one patch is one feature,if possible.
code1.diff - all the patches from patches directory together
code2.diff - changes which are not in patches directory
diff-commits.txt - obsolete, I`ll remove this one in the future or maybe use
it again
The only bug I know about is occasional crash of MTP, but I didn`t notice any negative consequences. There may some problem with battery charging (the display turns on time to time without no obvious reason during charging), but it may be some hardware error (bad cable or charger).
Since this is based on official LineageOS, thanks to everyone who contributed to it.
I am using this build for over a week without any problem, except those mentioned above.

UPDATE:
I totally forget about this yesterday - here are the proprietary files I used for this build proprietary-files-ocm13-skk-ril.tgz It is a mixture from the CM 13 official build and KitKat stock files, with modified ks file (then connect symbol is replaced with xonnect, so it doesn`t crash), maybe some other files and changes. I really don`t remember, I put this together during a long period of time. If you find any of your work inside, please accept my apologies and let me know. From my point of view it just works. If you want to apply the patches, then you will most probably want to change the hardcoded full path to these files in device/samsung/i9305/extract-files.sh.
UPDATE:
If you want to use anything from my patches, feel free to do so, just follow the license of the original project.
I tested it for about 4 hours for modem stability, taking the logs. All SAHARA transfers were ok, with no errors and retries. I should have mentioned your name in some post earlier

Used it for a few hours with the built-in kernel then switched to Boeffla to get Boeffla Sound etc.
Very nice to have the customisable LED again as it was missing from the official LineageOS.
More importantly for me, the magnetic compass seems to work properly. I couldn't get it to work on official, nor on Rodman's RR.
No issues with GPS for me.
I had to install 'The SELinux Toggler' to set permissive so I could get Viper4Android to work (as with official) but I expected that.
One other thing, the MTP crash is the 'MTP host' app. I just disable this as it's only needed if you need your phone to be an MTP host for something like a digital camera, which I don't. It doesn't affect connections to your PC.
Is there an issue with the automatic execution of init.d scripts? I'm on Boeffla so it may just be that. Luckily you can tell Boeffla app to execute them anyway.
@Glenn2, thanks for testing I am not completely sure about it, but if I remember well, the compass problem is caused by the opensource sensor library (I think that just replacing the/system/lib/hw/sensors.smdk4x12.so with the one from my build should fix that). But the problem is not actually with the compass sensor, that one is ok, but in the opensource version there are missing some "fake" sensors, which provide calculated data based other "real" sensors. One of them provides orientation information, often used in apps as compass. Try some app (e.g. Androsens2) which lists all the sensors and you`ll see the difference - the "fake" ones have iNemo in their name.
I actually don`t care about the MTP crashes. It mostly happens after uninstalling some app, which doesn`t happen too often and otherwise I haven`t noticed any negative related to that. It is just annoying popup for me.

I have a couple of scripts and they were not running on boot. I don't know if Boeffla kernel affects busybox. I remedied this by telling the Boeffla Config app to run init.d scripts when it launches.
Also, I had a power manager service wakelock that kept my phone awake for hours, only a reboot cleared it. I had this happen a couple of times on official LineageOS too. Not the famous mdm_hsic_pm0 which now seems to be cured at long last! I had a period of no signal when I was on the London Underground, maybe that was the cause.

There is /system/etc/init.d/* scripts, which run OK, or at least /system/etc/init.d/00banner does. There is also /system/etc/init.d/90userinit, which executes /data/local/userinit.sh. I remember that seme previous CM version there was also a user defined init.d somewhere in /data. This may what has changed, but I am not if this is your case.

This on is also often on the top of my kernel wakelock list, but never that bad, always with reasonable times.

It is worth pointing out that after backing and restoring between roms, the SELinux attributes for efs files can become not correct. That can lead to something like this :

I don't know what your question means, as there is only one ROM. I installed from the link in the OP (dated the same date as the OP).
Still using this ROM, and still very few problems.
The day before yesterday it crashed with the screen off. Had to hold power button in to restart.
And yesterday the damn wakelock. It got stuck at a time when I had no signal, and also I used the camera, so either may be relevant. It didn't seem to cause any drastic battery drain though (see images attached). I suppose when the CPU is awake but only at 200MHz and not doing much it uses little more than when it is sleeping?
Regarding init.d scripts. I added one to /system/etc/init.d that simply writes a file to /data when it runs, to test that it DID run. Script starts #!/system/bin/sh
Results:
1) rom with its own kernel - didn't run
2) rom with Boeffla kernel - didn't run
3) rom with Boeffla kernel and Boeffla Config app set to execute init.d scripts itself - did run
One more, just for fun!
Two days ago I was at the Wimbledon tennis, and the location service and/or weather widget decided I was in Boulogne-Billancourt (Paris) instead! I then opened and closed Maps, refreshed the widget and it changed to the correct location!

I'm trying to install the current build using TWRP 3.0.2-1, but it gets stuck at the "Patching system image unconditionally..." step with the progressbar at around 40%. It's been sitting there for about 10 minutes. Does anyone know how that'd be fixable?`
