[Q] What happened to the other HTC 2010 roadmap's phones??? - General Topics

Anybody knows what happened to HTC "Tera", "Trophy", "Tide", "Salsa" and "Buzz"??? Year 2010 is almost coming to its end and still no any news regarding these phones. Weird! Are they cancelled? Maybe the answer is "yes", because of MS's newly launched WP7 OS. But what about the other Android phones? In 2009, almost (I think) every rumored phones got released to the market.

I'm talking about the original "Trophy" with a portrait physical keyboard and NOT the WP7-based HTC 7 Trophy. Also "Buzz" has a trackball, whereas "Wildfire" has a
clickable optical pad. So your info is totally incorrect.

HTC to unveil Q4 Windows Mobile lineup October 1 & 2

from http://www.stockhouse.ca/mediascan/news.asp?newsid=9206882
There are some real chances that we will learn more about HTC's recently unveiled HTC Kii soon. The Taiwanese handset maker just invited the press to its two European events in the UK (Monday, October 1st) and Germany (Tuesday, October 2nd) to officially unveil its Q4-2007 line-up of Windows Mobile smartphones.
While HTC hasn't given any further information of what we can expect, I'm sure we will see (again) some familiar faces like the HTC Shift, maybe the HTC Nike (which was already announced in Japan as NTT DoCoMo FOMA HT1100) and most likely HTC's new flagship smartphone, the (which hasn't had it's launch event so far).
But maybe we will also see some new faces like the above mentioned HTC Kii, the HTC Polaris, and the (by some) heavily awaited HTC Omni.

i REALLY hope that the OMNI shows up, i'd hate to watch 2007 go into 2008 and think OMNI never existed but in the dreams of UNIVERSAL owners everywhere

HTC Desire or something newer's coming out?

Hi guys!I am the proud owner of a Touch Diamond and a Hero and an avid fan of HTC devices for almost 3 years now.As I am thinking of buying a new phone with Android (now that I have gothered some money ) I want to ask this.I like the Desire ALOT,but don't want to go through the same as with the Hero. When I bought the Hero on December,I saw much better devices coming out shortly, like the Nexus One,the Desire and the Legend and felt that my money could have bought me something by far better. So now should I buy the Desire or should I wait? Are there any plans for newer phones by HTC with better specs, like 1,5GHz processor, better screen etc?We all know that HTC gives newer phones more often than it gives newer software after all!
Thanks!

Yes, im also waiting for the HTC Vision - till now I just heard that its basicly a "HTC Desire" with a slide/hard keyboard - and perhaps a better Cam - but hard to say when it's coming cause there are just rumors about this device.
Well anyway if u like the desire and android - I'd say: get it - as there are always new devices coming out... You cant win the race.
I'm just waiting cause I hope for the hardware keyboard.
Had a wizzard once and miss it a bit since im on blackstone.
cheers
Well, such a device could have brightened my day if I lived in the US!
Unfortunately however I live in Europe,Greece to be more specific. Now,in the middle of the crisis I want to buy a 500-600 euros phone!
Anyway,I think that I will go with the Desire for now...But if there is anything coming to Europe like a european version of the Evo then yes,I will be happy!

Which Android mobile? Switcching my X-10

Hello guys.
I was wondering which mobile i should select with android?
I'm planning to switch out my Xperia X-10, due to the lame software updates (only 1,6) When i bought it for 4 months ago, SE promissed a software update with 2.1 or 2.2 within 2-3 months. But still no sign of anything
I'm confused about selecting a HTC Desire, or a Samsung Galaxy S?
But i've read alot about many problems with the samsung mobile, so maybe the HTC is the best? HTC is very serious about software development, the Desire already got 2.2
Greetings M8's
Imagine that just when you get rid of the x10i they upgrade it
sent from my x10i that is banging for a 2.1 upgrade. ...
Desire I would choose as it´s HTC

I find it kind of odd, that in my homeland Taiwan, where the company HTC is; people there aren't exactly a huge fan of HTC products haha. Sorry off topic.
I Also think that the HTC would be the best choice.. seems like Samsung do have a lot of bugs in there phone.. but maybe it would be a good idea to wait, and see if SE are coming with that update before Christmas.. but will it then take about a half year before 2. 2 is released again?
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
If u want sth up-to-date sooner that anyone else, get a N1
U can run Desire rom on it as well
The poor build of Galaxy, no flash and its home launcher is a let down for me
Don't Blame S.E for this, you Knew it had 1.6 on it. Hate when People expect the update to come that fast, It takes time for this to happen....

I am looking to do the exact same, WP7 has seriously disappointed me.
I live in Spain and due to the good publicity given to the tophy and lack of smartphones in January and February were sold a lot but 70-80% of buyers have been very disappointed with this particular system. I am personally decided rid of it soon and I do not expect more updates that will come within years old when the phone will be as a pileup.Y think that this operating system a big failure and it will go just as the windows will vista.Y hope that WP8 to repair the faults of greeting wp7.Un saludo!

Originaly targetted for begining of 2016 but since there are no news since then I would assume the answer is Never!
I am in the same struggle and I made the mistake to purchase it few months ago.
Hi guys
I contacted HTC customer support asking them when the HTC ME would receive the promised Marshmallow update. They replied saying that there are no more upgrades planned for this device. So seems like we are stuck on Lollipop forever. I am terribly disappointed in HTC. It is an unethical company which doesn't seem to be able to keep its promises. No wonder they are doing so poorly in their market shares globally and trailing behind the competition. I am definitely not buying any more HTC devices. And this comes from a loyal customer who has been using HTC phones all his life. But I guess it serves them right. A company that cannot keep its loyal customers is bound to doom.
