Hei Guys Im planning to buy nexus 5 soon, i had gone through lots of reviews and comparisons for last two weeks to make this decision, now only thing i would like to know is about the non removable Li-Po battery inside nexus. Nowadays these batteries are common in most of the high end smart phones because of its advantage over Li-Ion battery but when i did a small research about Li-po type of battery i came to know that it could turn itself into a tiny bomb in pocket and turn everything around into a fire ball. Even though all types pre cautions has been made in phone to prevent this from happening I still have a bad feeling about these batterier inside my head. Does anyone has any idea about safety of these batteries ?

Mods will. There are battery topics and a whole Q&A sub-forum

Hi guys, check my double battery mod. It was quite easy, tho you need to be very careful not to make any fire and so.
The photos album is here (too lazy to upload here): https://goo.gl/photos/DLpzAq4idBsSzeWH9

what is your screen time with this battery mod?
Or you could you know, maybe just buy a brand name extended battery? Lol. Interesting mod though. That would kind of make me nervous though.
I was actually thinking about this the other day. Than I realized that my batteries are almost 2 years old already. Probably better to just replace them.
EPIC
:good:
that's really cool..but u need to get a proper plastic cover up for the battery though..lolx:good:

The ROM is Awesome and All working Great Except few things..... Don't mind if i ask "Is there any chance to get lollipop patchrom for S4"
Play Store- Working
Current Version i am using Shiro 5..10.16
.
What did you use to cover the battery, I did the same sort of thing but did something with otterbox Defender.

It no longer has the pictures but here are mine

I used a dremal tool to cut the holes. I am wondering if there might be a better way to cover it, since it is a little loose without the rubber cover.
Battery I used.

why not just buy zerolemon 7500mah ?
While i give you props for making it work, i don't think its useful on our device.. We have removeable batteries and there are extended batteries that work just fine and bypass all the fire/Explosion/damaging risks.
Congrats on actually pulling this off!
Although, are you planning on getting a different back cover though?, I honestly don't see that lasting very long....

I looked at the album the only thing I am unclear on, and have a question about is what you did or used for making the batteries stay in place. It looks like just using leather that you forced formed around the batteries, and case. Is that what you did? I'm looking at better ways of keeping my battery in place, while your idea looks good, im just not sure what you did exactly or used. Or if the is actually a possibility of using something more lightweight, and smaller.
I used to have a double battery on an old blackberry, it was just to noticeable when sitting in my pocket. I can see the same thing happening here. Regardless awesome work, cool mod.
It's nice that it's possible, but with such a big back I don't think it's all that useful. Furthermore, how long does charging take? Twice as much or more?
I love the idea. I just have one question. Does it correctly show the battery percentage now?
Just buy zerolemon extended battery.
Instead of making your own DIY S4 bomb on your pocket.

this looks pretty awesome, I need this for my phone - thanks for the post
Nais, mldc geras darbas tikrai
Haha love the idea. Congratz for pulling this off. Would have never thought of it. Initially I thought you somehow squeezed the two into the same one-size space - insane. I would personally go for an aftermarket build, but if you go creative enough I think you can still pull something interesting for a DIY proj. Some ideas:
1. put the battery in a thick plastic wrap (compact) and connect it to your phone via usb.
2. attach velcro on the battery and your phone and continue with step 1. you will have more or less what you have now, except it is modular - detachable.
n. hammer the two batteries into one so you have double the capacity - just dreaming... :fingers-crossed:
You pretty much end up into solutions that are already out there. Even so, I think you could end up with a bit more compact solution. Hackish in the same time.
Good luck
I've come up with the idea of two battery smartphone that eliminates the use and hassle of phone chargers. I couldn't submit it anywhere so If any of you have a chance to submit it anywhere feel free to forward it. Just don't forget to mention my name. You can download the project PDF file from the attachments . And feel free to make suggestions and ask questions! Hope you guys like it and excuse my English.
I don't like the idea. If you keep removing your battery, there will be a problem with you back cover and also battery. I think it is better to use one battery rather than two.

If you read project well, you could see that device will have slot rather than back cover which is making battery replacement process faster and safer. And if you give me reasons for one battery advantages or why you like that way, I'd like to comment on that too.
Just curious if anyone knows about a battery interchange guide. Something I could enter dimensions and contact positions and then get a list of batteries that might fit in that space.
Specifically, I have a Chinese KIngSing S2, and, why yes, the battery is dead. The company appears to be as well, or at least they are no longer making replacement batteries for said. Not a big deal, it was a cheap phone, nothing to scream about, and I've already moved on. But, it's still pretty decent and I could give it to my kid... if I could get a battery for it that works.
So... before I break out the soldering iron, I thought I'd ask.
Any suggestions?

Hi everybody,
I was wondering if anyone has a dead pyro they'd be willing to sacrifice to breathe life back in to mine?
My baby had a BAD fall yesterday and ended up with a busted screen and back cover.
PM me if you can help.
Thanks!
