all i am waiting for is the wifi fix and i will flash this baby. honestly the fastest hero rom i have tried on my MT3G was CRISPhero, it was from addeway and another dev, they merged their roms into a megarom haha. hasnt been updated in a month though. same with SENSEhero, cept its been since NOVEMBER since that puppy has been updated, ccryowski has gone AWOL

I agree.
I think hero is awesome, but 1.5 is almost out dated and obsolete.
sure its cool looking and stable, but if We cant use current apps,
whats the point.

Regardless I believe 1.5 is much smoother than espresso and 2.1 Hero. Time being I use 1.5 roms because of the completeness and stability of them. This build uses backing swap..dont understand why but im changing it to make my own custom build

Not only have I seen them, but it was running Myn's Warm Donut on my Touch that caused me to get my Hero! Incubus, who made a lot of those themes also has a thread with theme components:

Here you'll find launchers, widgets, dialers, fonts, frameworks, etc. Now THAT'S something I'd like to see ported.
He has also developed three ROMS of his own for the Touch; all 2.1. Only one has Sense. The others have Live Wallpapers working.
You would be amazed at how much can be done on that old Touch. I love my Hero. It has such a nice screen. But the Touch is such a nice size.

Or, on a Touch, you can run Android from your SD card and be able to switch back to winmo by just rebooting. You can even flash one version of Android and run a second from your SD card.

no, because they have files for the touch's hardware. or are you talking about the themes? the themes you might be able to. I dont see why not. Can you flash tar files with the hero?

Yea, just the themes. I misread your post, I thought when you said you had all versions ported... that you meant, you had already ported these themes over to our phones, lol.
They look good. I'll see which one I want to port over for us CDMA guys.

DarchLegend would be more like it. Darchdroid is from AOSP, not really ported from a particular phone.

This fits in here just fine. We have roms cooked from several different phones here. There are certainly some nice things to be found in this rom that can (possibly) contribute to the Hero.

I for one would love to see the new lockscreen ported to our 2.1 roms. That would be sick
I would love to have a lockscreen that isn't our stock Hero one. It's terrible. And I can't seem to get the Vanilla one working or any other one except the straight up clear one working on Fresh 2.1.
And the Hotspot app. I'd love Infrastructure wifi instead of Ad-Hoc
So other than a few different apps whats so different about the EVO rom? Been alot of talk that they may not even be able to root that baby, id feel bad for them.

In good time im sure but not right away. I read that new android motorla phones will not be able to be rootable at all, i think this will be a trend.

The fact that Sprint is requiring (seems to be confirmed now too) that you have the Wifi hot spot add-on in order to activate the wifi on the phone leads me to believe that once people have this phone in hand they will find that it's not rootable.
I am not real savvy on rooting android phones, but it seems to me that this might be the direction that providers are going in with these phones in order to maintain add-on sales for the devices.

Sweet jesus. The fact that you even started a new thread about this topic proves that you didn't even TRY to search for it. This has been brought up since sense first came to the android platform. The framework on the htc sense roms is so different that they haven't found a way to port anything from them.
As of now, and the past 2 years, it is NOT possible. Don't start new topics about porting anything from sense. There are hundreds of posts on the topic already.

I'll answer your question.. you'll see sense 2.2 on your nexus one when desire gets the 2.2 update... if they ever do. good luck and don't hold your breath...
You can also install Weather Widget with Forecast addon, it`s the closest look
and feel you can get without SenseUI.

Nop! My battery with SenseUI drain almost the same that in Cyan, for example.
Much better battery life with Froyo BTW.
