Not only have I seen them, but it was running Myn's Warm Donut on my Touch that caused me to get my Hero! Incubus, who made a lot of those themes also has a thread with theme components:

Here you'll find launchers, widgets, dialers, fonts, frameworks, etc. Now THAT'S something I'd like to see ported.
He has also developed three ROMS of his own for the Touch; all 2.1. Only one has Sense. The others have Live Wallpapers working.
You would be amazed at how much can be done on that old Touch. I love my Hero. It has such a nice screen. But the Touch is such a nice size.

Or, on a Touch, you can run Android from your SD card and be able to switch back to winmo by just rebooting. You can even flash one version of Android and run a second from your SD card.

no, because they have files for the touch's hardware. or are you talking about the themes? the themes you might be able to. I dont see why not. Can you flash tar files with the hero?

Yea, just the themes. I misread your post, I thought when you said you had all versions ported... that you meant, you had already ported these themes over to our phones, lol.
They look good. I'll see which one I want to port over for us CDMA guys.

I think you misunderstood. They have non rooted G1's, but envy my black pull down. both think it looks much cleaner.

What he is saying is the grass isn't always greener. When I had my G1 everyone, including me, were flashing Hero roms like mad and vanilla android was the devil now that we have sense that is meant for our phones we all want vanilla. I think a white theme for sense UI would suffice for me.

DarchLegend would be more like it. Darchdroid is from AOSP, not really ported from a particular phone.

This fits in here just fine. We have roms cooked from several different phones here. There are certainly some nice things to be found in this rom that can (possibly) contribute to the Hero.

I for one would love to see the new lockscreen ported to our 2.1 roms. That would be sick
I would love to have a lockscreen that isn't our stock Hero one. It's terrible. And I can't seem to get the Vanilla one working or any other one except the straight up clear one working on Fresh 2.1.
And the Hotspot app. I'd love Infrastructure wifi instead of Ad-Hoc
So other than a few different apps whats so different about the EVO rom? Been alot of talk that they may not even be able to root that baby, id feel bad for them.

The fact that Sprint is requiring (seems to be confirmed now too) that you have the Wifi hot spot add-on in order to activate the wifi on the phone leads me to believe that once people have this phone in hand they will find that it's not rootable.
I am not real savvy on rooting android phones, but it seems to me that this might be the direction that providers are going in with these phones in order to maintain add-on sales for the devices.

Samsung Galaxy S phone and dial pad apps
Hmmm is there anyway to port the Galaxy S contact APKs and other UIs? I've just recently changed mine to Cyanogenmod and seems to me the stock UI is pretty boring.
Sure, go on and have a look at any Galaxy ROM.. The pngs are only for HDPI and there will likely be none for our MDPI devices as AFAIK there are no TouchWiz MDPI phones.
A few months ago I tried it myself, but it was pain to get all the images right..

There is a port of MDPI Touchwiz app on the forums i have the app if you want it i can give it to you, but its slow i think that LP and ADW are much faster

This is a port of the MIUI rom to our mdpi devices. We need help to get this ROM running on our lower end devices (ie: Hero, G1, Magic, etc). Please PM alexthearmo if you are willing to help in any way!
Update 12/22/10: We are officially done porting every single png in every apk to be compatible with our phones (mdpi). This has been a huge undertaking and many people were involved: ehac1680, alexthearmo, neilege, andronut, dannybiker, moxlon69, asadullah, and jpool81 (if I forgot you, please PM me). Unfortunately, this project is now beyond our capabilities. Now that the tedious work is done, we need some Devs who are willing to get these APKs to run on our devices. I am posting a link to the new mdpi MIUI apks, so that any willing DEV can take this project to the next level. PLEASE don't let this project be abandoned! It is now in the hands of the community/devs!

It should. They said it makes the Nexus One process 3 times faster than stock android. That's a crazy speed boost, so it should be the same for us as well. You can read about it in the article I recently posted to the bottom of the original post.
I pm'ed bnice about this since he mentioned that he could get the kernel running for the hero, and I have a ton of experience with porting pngs. But I haven't heard back, I might have to signup at miui to get his attention.
What do you guys think should I per-sue this? I run miui on my evo now and I need a reason to mess with the hero again.

If it's worth running on the EVO I'd say its definately worth running on the Hero

YES! Please Pursue! We need the help. I just downloaded the newest MIUI rom to check out the files...but I'm dreading doing the 9.pngs. I am so slow at them, and I've only really worked with them twice before.

Awesome! If you need help with the pngs let me know (though, I don't have very much time right now...it's finals time for college). I don't know how to do any of the kernel, or xml stuff...I just know how to work with pngs, 9.pngs, and a TINY bit of HEX editing...so we need people like you involved with the project.
Do you know how to do all the other fancy stuff? (ie: compiling, getting a rom to work on our hardware, etc)?

its basically an iphone themed cm6. it ain't all that, i tried it on my evo. the only cool thing is the dialer is awesome looking.

MIUI makes CM6 and aosp look like windows 95. its not just a skin, its a whole rom full of gestures and etc. Maybe u just ran a THEMED CM6, but this my friend is way diff from cm6/aosp. Miui is epic man.
