Hi i have a question maybe someone can help?
I'm Having problems with my Xt720 stuck at M logo at boot up. I tried flashing it back to Stock CBW rom following reverendkjr's instructions to the T. after i allow Rsd to go through the Processes, and it says its rebooting phone i give it time to adjust, but still stays on M logo. Rsd is telling me to Please manually power up this phone. I don't know what else to try? I cant do a hard reset either.. Can someone help Please
Have you tried to take out your SD card and reboot the phone again?
I was hit with same issue last time due to a bad SD card.
Alternatively you can try to reflash without a SD card.
yes, i've tried both ways, but no luck either way?
What did you do to get booyloop

exactly the same thing happened to me...
I flashed froyo, was playing a few hours, and after firing flash phone was frozen and then I got bootloop
I was flashing phone with many different sbf's and nothing helped except official moto service center...
Use RSD lite above 4.9 Version, Download a sbf file for xt-720,go to boot loader and run the sbf file from Rsd lite. Your phone should start working.
if you are able to reach openrecovery, or some other way to access the phone internals,You may turn adb debugging during boot.
So if you have somewhat access to the phone to turn on ad debuging you have to
kill the usbd process ( pkill usbd if busybox is new enough)
then
Code:
echo "msc_adb" > /dev/usb_device_mode
You have to "integrate" that in your startup scripts.
Then issue "adb logcat" . The adb will wait for the phone and will start logging as soon as possible . When that happens, we will be able to adb shell to the phone, even if the display show just some static logo...
If you are not able to access the phone internals, other possibility exists, but requires to be able to fastboot the phone. Then custom initramfs can be prepared, which will include the above early adb enabling .
enabling adb taked from here:

have in mind of this issues (not a big deal, at least for me)

I just wanted to use revolutionary to root my phone, but nothing happened. After that the phone just rebooted and then turned off. Now I can't turn it on and it even doesn't charge!
help please
Your phone is not brick, can you still boot into HBOOT? Volume down key and press hold power button.

no, it seems completely dead. Even when I connect it to the charger the charging light doesn't turn on!

Same happened to me (exactly) and after being advised by network provider rang HTC repairs, phone picked up next day, returned to me repaired 6 days later, no charge, hassle at all!
Hey everyone. I got my SL101 in the mail today and went straight to work rooting it. I got root access, flashed a non-CWM recovery, but I tried using Rom Manager to reboot to recovery. After granting SU permissions it turned off and.... stayed off.
Now it will not power on no matter what button combination I try. I've had it charging for 6 hours with the wall adapter (which does work as I've tested it with my phone, and it was charging before this mishap).
Should I just keep charging it or did my little "Reboot to recovery" adventure break my tablet? =\
Any help is greatly appreciated and I'll provide info upon request.

I didn't think a simple "reboot" command would totally render my device useless.
Would a "reboot recovery" in terminal emulator have done the same to my tablet?
EDIT: I appreciate the response, but now do you have any idea how to fix my tablet? =\ This is a real bummer. I knew not to install CWM through the app at least.

I'm not sure. Have you checked out the PERI tool? It might be of help here for your soft brick.

PERI tool doesn't detect my tablet being plugged in. Neither does... anything, really. ADB doesn't detect a device at all.

Running out of options here... Darn. Only other thing I can think is plug it into your PC then try to manually power on the tablet to see if the PC will recognize anything being turned on.

Nada. Zip.
Too bad too. I normally don't have any trouble with ASUS products =\
I can't believe it won't even power on. You could probably send it in for hardware failure if that's the case though...
Well, ASUS gave me an RMA number so I'm sending it off today. I appreciate your efforts though!
Mine is doing the same thing. I rma-d it when it stopped booting too. They said they had to reload the BIOS. I got it back....it. boots but. Still no USB..I just bought another USB cable.waiting to get it. If it don't work, i all ready have another rma number.. ill wait to send it until I have my nexus4 so I don't go crazy from another 10 days without my tab....
Ah, sorry to hear about this guys. Hopefully everything gets worked out. It still puzzles me that the tablet's hardware failed.
Hi Guys
Today I was talking over phone when suddenly it went blank and I could not hear any sound. No display. So I took out battery, left it for a min, kept it back and tried. Now it is not turning on.
Tried connecting to charger and even PC. It was having 80% charge and was on Angeeks ROM.
What could be the problem?
BTW Phone is out of warranty

Is it going into recovery or download mode?
Sent from my GT-I9103 using xda premium
Nope. If it went into either, I wouldve flashed some stock ROM.
NO display whatsoever. Totally blank. It is not even vibrating a bit, so it isnt turning ON!
Check APX mode. Hold Volume Up + Home + Power, wait for a bit, then connect your phone to PC. You will hear Windows' sound that it detects it.
If it's going to APX mode you can use unbrick method.....

Connect the charger and let it charge for some time. Then if you get the charging animation you can try rebooting.

if you don't have you will lose IMEI...
Well, I am prepared for it. I checked the whole guide.
If I dont backup, I would loose IMEI but phone will boot. Then I can take to SSC, and tell them I lost network and they would fix it.
But now, It is not booting into any mode except APX. Tried the drivers too. Shows APX in eject and Nvidia USB Boot-recovery.
The .bat file wont work!

Try to open a separate command line and run the bat file there. It will not close at least.
After the bat file had exited, did you try to reboot into download mode and flash a rom?

Some background... The whole reason I was rooting this phone was the volume button was malfunctioning... constantly pressing up. I used the hack-ace tool linked somewhere else and followed the directions. At one point during the install the phone went black and the red light began to blink... in command prompt window it just said waiting for device for a long time. Now all it will do it go into the clockworkmod recovery screen. If I try to restart hack ace it says the sd card is either not mounted or corrupted. Any help?!? this is my wifes phone so I need to fix it fast!

When did you use AAHK? It has recently been retired and the files it needs are gone, so using it now can get you stuck. If you have CWM the phone was either S-Off or bootloader-unlocked at some point. Which is it?

Thanks so much for the quick reply! IT had no rooting done before today, it had gotten a little ways into the rooting before it quit... That must be how CWM is on there. It had gotten to the point of HBoot being installed when it quit.

What does hboot say? In case you don't know how to get there, reboot holding power and volume-down.

The only thing I can get into is CWM, and it is tricky getting it to run... I think it quit before loading HBoot... TO do that I have to pull the battery and have it hooked up by USB, then turn it on.
Hold volume down as you do your power up procedure

Okay, I have the adb installed and went through the process of connecting my inspire with the adb. A serial number came up so assume all is not lost because it installed the drivers for this device.
Where shall I go from here? Once again I can't say thanks enough...
Connect your phone and type adb devices. If it finds a device, type adb reboot bootloader. What does it say?
Send him over to #aceroot, it will be faster.

Thanks for your time last week on this, today the phone booted up with one press of the power button. No idea what happened but whatever glitch there was... it appears to have worked itself out.
Go there and get it set up properly anyway. That should have never happened.
