need help with bricked phone - HTC Sensation

I just wanted to use revolutionary to root my phone, but nothing happened. After that the phone just rebooted and then turned off. Now I can't turn it on and it even doesn't charge!
help please

Your phone is not brick, can you still boot into HBOOT? Volume down key and press hold power button.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App

no, it seems completely dead. Even when I connect it to the charger the charging light doesn't turn on!

did you have cwm installed on your phone already and if so what version

remove battery.. then try powering the phone.. if nothing happens.. follow this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198585
and if still nothing happens..then I would say that it's bricked...

at least someone tell me if I can return it or report it as lost phone? I am on tmobile

"make sure" there is no way to boot on then just bring back to T-mobile to get a new one; Just say "I got no cure" "whatever they asked.

it wont boot, is there anyway they can read any logs or something from the phone memory to see what happened?

bricked!!:(..please help!

Guys, i wanted to get my phone repaired under warranty. I had rooted it and it was S-OFF. So i flashed the stock ROM and the radio, but while trying to make it back to S-ON, using rebranding, debranding and S-ON method given in the android development section, i think i bricked my phone. When i wrote the command "fastboot oem writesecureflag 3", the phone just turned off. Now it wont turn on, tried everything still no use. Plz help!!
Also, can i get it repaired under warranty still, as the phone does not turn on at all so i dont think there would be any way for htc to detect wether it was rooted or not.
Sounds like it ran out of battery when doing it, mine didn't turn off when I set back to S-ON
Actually after i wrote the command and pressed enter, the text on cmd said okay and then as the phone should have rebooted, the screen turned off but it did not reboot, so i tried by removing and re-inserting the battery but still it couldnt go in the bootloader mode. I still cannot figure out what i did wrong.
does your phone respond to the charger?? (does the orange lamp turn on when you plug it to the charger)
if it reacts, probably your battery ran out. try charging it, and when it's charged (or while it's charging) try to start the phone, or try to boot into fastboot (vol down + power)
If you can boot into fastboot, the phone is not bricked.
If it doesn't respond to charger or you can't boot into fastboot, then the phone is bricked, and you can send it to store to repair it...
(i had this last problem, and I sent my phone to the dealer to repair it.)

No, the phone does not respond to the charger as well. Did your's get bricked as well? and can bricked devices be repaired by reflashing with special programmable cables or they have to be replaced?
Thnx in advance
As I said, it should NOT have rebooted after writing S-ON. Mine didn't and is working fine

But the post says that we have to write the reboot bootloader command. That's exactly what i did. It also said that if it doesn't after writing the command, the battery is to be removed and re-inserted and then we have to power on in bootloader mode!

Its a fully brick, un'repairable at home. JTAG reflash in service center may help you.
I hate to say this:
I bricked my fone once.
Not the method you thit.
But the same problem..
Wouldn't turn on and no charging response..
I think your emc is deleted..
Then your phone is death..
The only reaponse i had was: putting the usb cable and connect to the pc.
Then you see something.
What i thit was: go back to the store and say
I was changing my phone at night and in the morning i turn on the phone and nothing happens.
The vodafone store sent my phone back to htc factory.
And i got a factory garantie.
They changed a new motherboard in my fone for free!
DON'T SAY THAT YOUR PHONE WAS ROOTED!
AND REMOVE THE SDCARD maybe you have some root stuff on it

When i bricked mine i followed instructions to the letter and it wasn't the first time i had been through the procedure. Your situation appears identical to mine and i guess we have just been unfortunate, a power blip perhaps?
Unfortunately yes, you are bricked but fortunately, htc will repair it for you as it is so totally lifeless they won't have a clue what you have been doing to it!
I guess that htc repair would have ways of reviving the device but just write them off due to the time constraints that they work under.

any luck on this??? i jacked mine up trying to flash a new firmware and am stuck in the same boat with my sensation being completely unresponsive.
You could factory reset it:
From the manual:
If you can’t turn HTC Sensation 4G on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC Sensation 4G.
1. Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
3. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
4. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button."

It was stated that he can't access the bootloader, which is what is required for the "FACTORY RESET"...
There are a number of people reporting this issue. I've even experienced the issue after the device powered down due to a drained battery. Luckily I have a stand alone charger. I put the battery on the charger for about 15 minutes, put it back in the device and it was able to boot, charge, connect usb etc...
I tried for 20 minutes to get any response from the device before trying the charger.
No charging LED isn't a good sign.
There seem to be more and more people reporting with this problem these last few weeks. IT happened with mine....it was not battery drained cuz it went dead when battery was 100% charged. I've been trying to get input as to whether this is related to ROM or firmware we're flashing....but no one seem to know.
Nothing will work...ADB...battery out...etc...I've sent my phone back to HTC...waiting to see what happens.
There are at least 3-4 different post with the same problem the past few weeks.

Well what i did was that i had a brand new sensation, i got it s-offed, rooted, cwm, superCID. all that done following the guide here on XDA. i wanted to have the new elegancia ICS rom which required the 3.32 firmware with the 4ext recovery. I got the 4ext flashed and then flashed the 3.32 firmware which caused a bootloop. then i panicked and tried to put it back to stock. not realizing that it was prolly bootlooping due the stock rom not being compatible with that firmware (not positive if that caused the bootloop. just a guess) it bricked after trying to put it back to stock. nothing responds. computer doesnt recognize it. new battery doesnt to anything. no charging led. looking back on what i did. I was still able to get into the 4ext recovery when it was bootlooping. If i flashed a compatible rom while it was doing that would it have fixed the issue. can anyone confirm if the bootloop was caused due the the stock TMOUSA rom not being compatible with 3.32? Tmobile is going to send me a brand new one. I'd like that rom but dont wanna repeat the same mistake lol
Thanks

WEll..if your phone lights up or have some response.maybe you can still do something by connecting to computer. Mine was completely unresponsive...and can't be detected on computer!
Maybe it's an overclock issue? I've read on different threads that there may be a motherboard issue. The sensation is known for overheating. Maybe it's frying the motherboard.
What frequency were you guys running and was your phones randomly shutting down before it became unresponsive?
i think we guyz got the same problem :S its just turned off with a constant beep

Solid amber light with no/long boot

I know this title comes up a lot but I can't seem to find my problem.
I wanted to go back to the stock rom and I used the proper RUU but totally forgot to use the S-ON tool before hand. It installed successfully but now I get a solid amber light and so far I got my inspire to boot once only to get stuck on the splash screen with it vibrating non-stop.
And now it just vibrated once, went to a black screen and then shut off. I really don't know what to do since I can't even get to HBOOT nor will the computer recognize it.
I've done numerous batter/sim card pulls as well as clean them out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Have you tried booting into the bootloader and doing a factory reset?
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
I think he was referring to the bootloader as HBOOT. I had this problem while rooting my sisters Inspire. Might be a corrupted bootloader.

It seems that the RUU you flashed was a Froyo one and your phone was running GB so you messed the bootloader. Hit the Hack Kit IRC channel (is in the OP thread) and we will lend u a hand to fix that....
Alright so I went to the IRC and they told me they couldn't help because it did not deal with the hack kit, fair enough.
I have been able to get the phone to boot after waiting for about 10 minutes but I cannot get to the bootloader. I tried rooting the phone again this way I can turn s-on then flash the stock rom again but the phone ends up not being detected half way through the process.
I really don't know what else to do...
Forgot to mention, now my inspire boots but then fades to a greyed out screen. My computer recognizes the phone as something occupying the usb port but is not accessible. Wish the phone had a physical reset button somewhere that i can poke with a paperclip...

I will get back on the IRC this evening when I get home from work thanks again!!!
Does it say anything about QHUSB_DLOAD USB device being connected?
I ran into a similar problem not too long ago, immediate vibrating followed by a solid amber light and no phone activity (nothing on the screen at all). I knew I had a backup in Recovery, but I couldn't even get into recovery.
In order to work around this, I did the following steps.
1. Deleted the PD98IMG file from my SD card (so I could get to recovery once I made it to the bootloader).
2. Take out the battery, then put it back in.
3. Plug in the phone, and let it sit for a few minutes.
4. Start into bootloader (hold power + Volume Down)
Now, in my case I was just trying to get back into recovery. if you don't have a working recovery, or no ROM to flash, you'll want to grab a few RUU 's to try from the bootloader. Try stock GB first, then try a stock Froyo just for the heck of it.
Hope this helps! Good luck to anyone else that's stumbled into this problem.
side note: I've also heard of this "power problem" occurring to other people without bootloops or screwed up bootloaders: which is solved by doing steps 2 and 3, then it'll boot up normally.
help
im having same issue i have gb stock and i accidtly did froyo ruu phones power bottun does nothing i have to plug it into computer and it will get solid amber light then eventually it either brings up battery charge icon and then if i press power button or unplug it. it just shuts off the i plug it back in and wait sometimes white htc screen comes up and it vibrates for a while then boots ad works like nothing is wrong but i cant flash gb ruu when i try to do that or re root and go to recovery to reistall ics that is on my sd as soon as phone restarts during process it doesnt reboot then i have to go threw whole procss of trying to get it to boot back up

Hi, I am new to the forum as a member, although i have been on here before browsing. Think its excellent and helped me alot with my old htc.
My phone went completely dead today, for some reason it wouldnt take charge from my car charger. I got home and charged the phone, it switched itself on, but wont get past the HTC ONE splash screen. I have rebooted it several times.... any ideas?

Try the factory reset option. Your data will still be there afterwards you will just have to setup the phone again.
If you haven't rooted the phone or unlocked the bootloader it's best you stop trying to fix it yourself before you blow your warranty. Try the factory reset and if it doesn't work start calling and trying to get a replacement.
Also, all questions go into the Q & A forum.
Hold the power and volume down buttons until the phone turns off and reboots itself into the bootloader. Then factory reset from here.

Factory reset in recovery? Might be worth a try putting one file on the storage and doing a reset through recovery. I doubt it though, since it removes locking and if it didn't wipe out would give access to all your photos and documents.

I had the same issue 4 times. My phone was stuck boot cycling. It happened while I was shooting or trying to connect to a Wi-Fi. I had to wipe everything !!

Same happened about a week ago here. Got stuck whilst trying to connect to a wireless network. Went into a boot loop. Managed to wipe it but I lost all of my data. Only happened once though.

Bricked Sensation 4g (tmobile)

Hi guys, I was letting my phone charge, and when I checked it a few hours later, it wouldn't turn on, the orange light is NOT blinking/on, and I haven't rooted the phone or installed any custom firmwares. I got the phone "New" on ebay, and I've been using it for like 2 months now. I searched around the web for a solution, and some people recommended removing the battery, putting the battery in and holding VOL DOWN and POWER at the same time, and for some reason, I got it into the white screen with colored words on it. I did a Factory reset, and it got me back to the HTC home screen but it went back to a bootloop and now wont turn on anymore (strange)
Anyways, now i can't even go back into the recovery mode. I haven't rooted/modded this phone since I got it, so it's kind of weird to see this happen. I'm assuming the previous owner might have messed around with it and screwed it up? What should I do at this point?
is it the phone still can turn on and go to bootloader..?
if so..maybe you can try flashing and replace it with a new RUU stock..
firstly you must know what cid and software version of your phone..to do that..you can follow this guide
if your phone still don't want turn on...you can try replace it with different battery..
hope this help..

Still nothing The orange LED doesn't come on/flash anything. The phone can't turn on and it's just dead now.
