agreed!!! excited either way...i feel like in a few months more and more big games/companies are gonna be on android....now theres always winmo7 that will be tempting me back to the winmo side
It's almost July and still no We Rule for Android. Very dissapointing.
Today I wrote an e-mail to ngmoco:
Dear Madam or Sir:
Today I'm wrtiting you to let you know how disappointed I am by the lack of attention to questions on Facebook or Twitter.
I repeatedly contacted We Rule as well as Ngmoco on both platforms to get some information about the promised release of the We Rule game on the Android platform. .
On January 5th WeRuleGame told me via twitter that the game is "coming early this year". Since then my requests remain unanswered
It's almost July and still no We Rule for Android within sight.
It would be nice if ngmco would let the Android communty know how much longer we have to wait.Is it really too much to ask?
I really hope that my answers will find a sympathetic ear some day.
Best regards from a really disappointed (yet) fan

I'm curious about the answer! Will let you guys know when I get one.
The answer came quick:
We've been working diligently to bring We Rule to Android these past few months. I apologize that we haven't been able to respond to your comments on Facebook or Twitter.
At this point, we expect We Rule for Android to ship in a Beta form for the most popular Android devices sometime in July or August. We don't have an exact date because as I've said before we're most interested in releasing a quality, well-tested We Rule for Android than anything else.
I hope this helps!

umm sorry, it's 1:30 am here, but what does his web site say?? if i remember correctly he kinda left xda because people were hounding him about this and talking crap
Yep Joshkoss you're right.
He had some work issues and beta testing appears to have discovered some major bugs, he has to rewrite a whole bunch of the code to make it work properly. (hence the private beta testing, I don't know how people would have reacted if they discovered that bug while on public beta...)
He's trying to make his project finish befor christmas
source: his own site/forum
The Schaps ROMs have always been my favorite. Hasnt it been months since his last ROM?
yep... i pm'd him asking him if i can continue his work somehow but he hasnt logged in a while
People disrespected him and demoted his work; called it a hoax which was really uncalled for and rude for what he was doing. Doing such a task takes months if not more and people were so impatient wanting to try it out and when they didn't see anything, they just wanted to call him out.
Anyhow, this doesn't have much do to with Hermes Mobile 6 (i know he made some ROMs) so i'll move it to a more suitable forum.
It's such bull**** how people are rude to Schaps for what he is trying to do for this technology by bringing it *free* to the rest of us. I hope he doesn't release it out of spite.
new info on his website for all those impatient fellows out here

Happy New Year from TouchXperience!
TouchXperience website has not been updated since a long time but it was for a good reason, I was actively working on the project, solving issues and finalizing the different features to release TouchXperience as soon as possible, and I would not announce a release date until I’m sure of it. I’m working on the project since more than a year and release has been delayed several times, due to lack of free time and various difficulties beyond my control. Hopefully it comes to the end! All donators should have got an invitation for the private beta testing, and the public beta will be released on February 1st! Due to the huge demand for private beta participation, I decided to make a unique TouchXperience build working on all devices (TyTN, TyTN II, Touch Diamond, Pro, HD), and the different ROMs will be released at the time, I will need few more days to accomplish it, so don’t worry if you didn’t get the beta yet.
I wish everybody all the best for this new year, 2009 will be the Year of TouchXperience, the upcoming beta will come with a lot of nice stuffs but that will be a preview of what’s to come during the year! I didn’t tell yet about all the features which will be included in the first version, but I will give you some interesting details in the following days.
I will start immediately by introducing a cool feature that will interest some of you. Many people asked for a Windows Mobile application to display Xbox Live gamertags, so I’ve got the idea to develop a gamertag plugin for TouchMenu (see screenshot).

Must be an xperia X10 thing. It was there until the latest firmaware update. I wander if the X10 digital finger print hasnt been updated on market?
DOODLE JUMP update
received in my email:
Thank you for your email. We understand your frustration with the current version of Doodle Jump on Android. We too are frustrated. Here is the situation:
In terms of issues that have been mentioned in the Market Place comments, we have had a build ready to go for some time. Thus far the licensor (LimaSky) has not given greenlight to the builds due to discrepancies between the iPhone and Android version. With the iPhone platform, developers are developing 1 single build to fit one device, whereas with Android, we cover over 90 different devices which come in many sizes and form factors. This is why it has taken us a very long time to get the update out to everyone.
In our current state, we believe we have achieved about 95% of what’s needed for the greenlight. We are very, very close in other words. And even though it seems that we have neglected this issue for too long, the situation is the absolute opposite in reality.
Recently, September 2 & 3, LimaSky and GameHouse were physically together in Helsinki working to get the absolute best Android game to you. Given our track record with the long delay, we don’t want to commit to a specific date for when the update will happen. One of the great things about the Android Market is once we have approval; the updated build will go up immediately.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will play Doodle Jump when we do launch the update.
Sincerely,
GameHouse Customer Support

Hi, In January 2011 me and two other friends started our first web-based project: a website about Windows Phone ecosystem.
Things are going relatively well but there is room for improvement.
Can you please check out the website and tell us what you think is missing, what is surplus, etc. We would love to hear your sincere opinion: if you think it sucks, don't be afraid to say it (we would like to know why though)
Thanks
As we close in on the 15th, I think two things will happen:
A) No Mango. The rumor-mill did it again.
B) Microsoft will STILL not have learned their lesson about replying to rumors.
They have to know what is being said on every single blog on earth. Type Mango into Google and it pulls up 500 news stories that say "durr will Sept 15 be release date??". Yet the closest thing I can find is a reply to a comment on the dev team blog. What happened to that guy who was hired after the NoDo fiasco to liaise with consumers?
Rule 1 in their position should be addressing rumors. No matter how small. Set up a "wp facts" page. Address the 15th rumor or whatever is next. By not, they're shooting themselves in the foot. I'm a cold-hearted cynic, and even I'm half convinced that it may actually begin being launched tomorrow.
A. I think the chance is rather high, but one never knows until that day gets here, right? That's what makes those rumors so power - the suspense of it. If it doesn't come people will just blame the carriers or OEMs. I think Microsoft was smart to say that their job was done, but they threw the OEMs and carriers under the bus in the process. Microsoft still has to approve the OTA even after the OEMs and Carriers do their thing, and there really isn't much to do since you they aren't allowed to bake in a ton of apps like on Android, WinMo/Symbian, and BB.
B. I think Microsoft thinks it helps them because it gets headlines, but when those days come and go the disappointment more than counters whatever was gained leading up to those days.
They did set up a webpage. Mango is not on it yet.
Just to answer your question. The guy they hired to be customer facing said in a blog post about a month and a half ago that he was going to maintain radio silence and "the next blog post will be the announcement that it is being released." A lot of good that's doing him.
While I wish they could have a concrete release date, I do wish they would at least deny dates. Sure it's our own fault for investing to heavily into unsubstantiated rumors, but they really could kill all of the speculation with one quick blog post.
Although the guys who said the release was this week have been spot on with their previous predictions, I may have to bet against this one.

A: Microsoft only have an estimate date of when Mango will be ready for roll out.
B: Microsoft will only roll out the update after it test the update infrastructure.
Lol @ test the update infrastructure.
No.
Also, "this fall" is not an estimated date. Fall is a season, not a month, not a week, and certainly not a date. It's a 3 month season and if they wish to pass that off as an estimated date, I guess it means they genuinely think their customers are idiots. An estimated date would be something along the lines of "the second week of September." "This fall..." That tells me nothing other than "we're giving ourselves a 3 month span so that if they ahve to wait until the dawn of Winter, we won't look like idiots."
But anyways, we've seen this tactic employed recently. Remember the Samsung US Galaxy S FroYo updates and #NeverAgain? Yea, that's basically what happened. I'm suprised WP7 users aren't furious they had to wait a whole year for an update, but this seems like a special kind of user base. Microsoft must be ecstatic they're given so much rope to play with (then again, they didn't sell 10M phones like Samsung, probably 3-4M in the US alone)...
Main issue is getting the update through the OEMs and carriers. Most OEMs already have the update ready, and they're even making new stock Mango phones.
Carriers are another deal, but I'm suprised it takes carriers so long with WP7 updates when they have a lot less stuff to test due to their inability to bake as much bloatware into the devices' ROMs and stuff like that.
Maybe the carriers are waiting for their partners (TeleNav, MobiTV, Slacker, Netflix, etc.) to get their apps Mango-ready before they approve it? Cause we all know they won't Okay the update if their subscription-based Value-Adds don't work correctly on it...

Microsoft has a policy concerning rumors. That is they do not comment and that is the best policy.
If this rumor is true, MS might make an announcement in the next few days and then the download will be available. If that's the case, then there was no need to comment on the rumor and say "Yes Mango is coming this week, but we want it to be available shortly after we announced it so we're not announcing it today."
If the rumor is false, people might be pissed at MS but they have no reason to be so. We do not know who started the rumor and all we ever heard from MS was "fall".
Now if MS were to dismiss every incorrect rumor as soon as they can (to not get up expectations), a missing comment on a rumor would kind of mark it as true.
They only comment on rumors when the rumor really might leave many people disappointed, like the Xbox + blu ray thing a couple of years ago.
Xbox 360s have sold way better than Windows Phones and this Mango rumor might be a big deal for us enthusiasts, but apart from us that's that.
BTW, I saw someone yesterday or the day before casually toss out the 2 PM PST time for a Mango release. That rumor's now dead.
I have a feeling it will be released on the 20th
9/15 isn't mango day, that was another rumor, folks. We've been saying "fall"... it's not fall yet! http://t.co/ZcvBO5ys

by the way, that's the same guy that kept radio silence while the blog was exploding with angry people during the nodo update failure.
The best thing for EVERYONE, devs, users, shops, etc would be to a predetermined release date, well in advance too. Failing that, as the date closes in, more and more accurate time windows. Failing that too, bad enough as it is, at least dispel rumors. Because it's not like people are EXCITED about the update. People are IMPATIENT. And rightly so, you're putting out features that have been on every smartphone for a long time !
let face with it or without mango WP7 is never going to win much of the market share, I expect theres a few who will have renewed their contact & jumped OS's before the mango hits the consumer ?
Ok i will say am sorry for the post, wait until Gameloft releases it on Google Play.
Am not innocent at all, but these "fanboys" sure is. Alot of yall edit and modify ppl apps and software call it your own, then your asking for donation off someone else original idea, then you all talk about piracy tssk give me a break plz.
That's cool, promote piracy.
And "it serves them right"?? Would you rather they release a buggy game? People would be even more pissed if they pay for the game and it doesn't work right. I swear to god, people and their self-entitled attitudes are a major part of what's wrong with the world today.
well to be fair they promised a 25th june release date, why promise when you can't deliver
they should have at least had it ready for the latest android quadcore devices,
have you ever experienced gameloft support, let me tell you now that it sucks bigtime.
edit:
asphalt 7 leak plays on sg s3 except the street/ground is white and htc one x is very laggy and unplayable in some areas
So because they miss their release date it's ok to steal from them? That is ridiculous. Clearly they were having issues. It's gotta be hard as hell making a game like that for Android considering all the different hardware it needs to work on. People need to be reasonable and not act like grade schoolers who's mommies told them they can't have a snack after school.

no i dont but am pissed and alot a ppl are when has Gameloft come out and said this was the situation, i havent seen where they did i been to gameloft forum, blog, their youtube vid trailer, twitter and facebook alot a ppl been asking them ? about the game did they once came out personally and say x y z no if it was ios i bet my money they would make a statement saying what was the situation or problem. 3rd party ppl who are saying this is the case is not good enough is like going to the doc and he send the nurse to check you up instead of doing his job. dont be releasing games if its not ready for both devices it feels unfair ppl feel emotional about this type of thing and takes it personal because when u look up to a company or person and they come up short for you thats what happened and knowing they came through and favor ios it sucks
how do we know that this wasn't some marketing strategy or apple paid gameloft a certain amount of money to keep the release from android for a certain amount of time,
all sides have to be looked at here, not "oh gameloft is defo innocent in this"
im not promoting piracy at all, I'm saying that I understand peoples frustrations, the game is absolutely stunning and I will be purchasing it on two of my devices as the price is so cheap, however I wouldn't blame anyone for downloading early
Sometimes it's really hard to deliver the product on time. Problems can happen, you know? Everything could happen, and sometimes a mistake in the last minute can ruin the whole project. I'm not saying that Asphalt 7 for Android is completely ruined, but that Gameloft are probably having difficulties with the Android release. I'm sure they are not delaying the release of the game on purpose, or because they want to tease the users, but because they are working to bring the best experience possible to users. I'm telling you this from experience - a small mistake can ruin everything.

Not only does this thread "glorifiy" piracy it also promotes the use of bad grammar and worst of all: the lack of punctuation (or at least a very stripped down version of punctuation).
It also shows a sense of entitlement that's really bad. I myself am waiting for an ICS rom from Samsung for my Galaxy tab, but that doesn't give me the right or justification to walk into a store a simply steal a tab.
The correct response, if you feel "cheated" or mislead by the companies promises is simple:
Don't buy the game if you don't like their policies or support. The effects for the manufacturer are the same (lost revenue) but at least you have the moral advanteage to you. Trying to use their support or policies as an excuse to piracy is just wrong: You're not entitled to own the game!

What points? You haven't made a valid one yet.
inb4 lock.
I'd just like to say that it's not right to pirate a game that costs a few bucks. As a matter of fact it's not really right to pirate anything (even though we all pirate music, for example). I will admit, I have pirated, in the past several games BUT only because they were PC games with a no-return policy that I wanted to try before buying. I did go back and pay for all of them though because I enjoyed them and I wanted to support the developers. But for a platform with a handful of great developers? You really shouldn't, especially when the games cost a few bucks and have a 15-minute refund window (and publishers and developers often will refund you even after those 15 minutes). We're not all angels, but we shouldn't be promoting piracy for the purpose of not paying.
Now, ethics and morals aside, promoting the piracy of a game that hasn't officially been released yet isn't good behavior, and discourages the developers and publishers from providing betas for consumers. It's easy developing for the iPhone because it's essentially one or two sets of hardware. Android has hundreds of different configurations. That's why it's not out yet. They probably have it working on a few devices, but not enough to consider it a stable release.
