Problem with awizard. Please help my device is DEAD

how can I use awizard if I cant turn on my device?
I can only get to Bootloader and when I try to press U in awizard I get a popup window saying my device is not connected.
when I confirm this popup (twice) the dos window state that it is initializing and says not to remove my device from the USB and it get stuck for at least 20 minutes
I cant turn on my device so Im trying to flash some other ROMs (like imate's) but cant do that because of ID issues.
What can I do? I am fraustrated, please help, my device is dead.

Hi,
If you device is stuck on bootloader, then you should update it with a no vendor ID rom like the one there are on the FTP ftp://xda:[email protected]/ /Prophet/Shipped_Complete_Updates/
section.
The Dopod one come with no vendor ID, but if you do so, you won't be able to change rom later.
If you have another rom you would like to use, then you should download the file ROMUpdateUtility-NoVendorID.zip in /Prophet/Tools/.
Connect your phone on usb when stuck on bootloader, extract the files of your Update Utilies (RUU ...) and change the executable with the no vendor one. You may have to copy the nbf (or something) file into the same directory as the executable.
Launch it and see if it works.
if it doesn't work then download the no vendir ID dopod rom and run the RUU, it will work but as I said, no turning back for now.

I have tried using this ROMUpdateUtility and it started flashing the rom, but when it got to 95% it said:
Error [326]: INVALID COMMAND
This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please check your NBF file.

anything im trying to do, I still get this black screen with version numbers.
What is wrong?
It not that I have played with the device, it just happened. since then I am trying to flash different ROMs with no success.

I guess your prophet IPL and SPL is 2.15.xxxx
If yes, the only rom you can is Dopod newest rom.

Upgrading Rom problem

i was trying to upgrade my i-mate jam Rom with RUU172126WWE_imate.exe, but after sometime i got error message and my set gone off, now i cant connect with ActiveSync, using only with Usb wire now i trying to upgrade with so many Rom versions but while upgrading got error message mostly in 2n step, could any one please help me to come out from this problem, i don know what was the actual version of my Rom but my Jam set is made from Taiwan

i trying 2 upgrae my PM10A and get everytime Error 112 : CE ROM Update Error so what i do? how can i overcome this problem?????????? any1 can help me out pls??????? i m trying with MA_TMNL_11300_132_11200_Ship.exe with MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe

ROM picture Change Error

Well I've tried everything possible, updated device manager fro vista. MDA Vario 3, connects for active sync but after running KaiserCustomRUU.exe. where it update the crrunt ROM version... it changes the screen into 3 color screen , after few minutes in the same condition............ 0% process........ and then........... shows me an error message as under:
ERROR [262]: UPTAE ERROR
The ROM update utility has encountered communication errors during the update process. The program will guide you step-by-
step to recover from the errors so you can continue the update.
and i need to restart MDA. although on recovery process it directly come to normal screen instead of 3 color screen, which means (i guess) it never started changing ROM current picture.
Any help about it plz.

you have vista then your prob better off flashing via sd, also you shouldn't have started a new thread to ask this question, this forum isn't intended for every time someone has a problem and searches and can't find the answer to start a new thread. PM someone you see posting that seems knowledgeable and ask that person if you can't find what you are looking for.

Flashing through SD is always the best. And its a lot safer than USB way.

[Q] RUU Error 262 on 31%

Hi guys,
i already read other threads in this and other forums about the same problem, but i couldnt find what i'm looking for, so i hope you can help me.
I wanted to Install an old Stock ROM on my Polaris (Had pcarvalho's extreme rom before - so you see, i already did hard spl).
But everytime it got stuck on 31% with the error 262 - update error.
I already...
- did a soft-reset
- did a hard-reset (But it still goes back to bootloader -> four-colour-screen)
- rebootet my pc,
- reinstalled mobile device center (because i'm on Win 7),
- switched to an other PC with windows xp and active sync,
- reinstalled active sync on this pc,
- re-downloaded the package and tried another package.
But still the same Problem: Stuck in Bootloader, error on 31%
What could it be and can it be fixed? Please help me, i dont want to buy a new phone

I think that error occurs because you have not unlocked the phone on when you flash ROM, right ...? about Windows what you use on computers is not a problem, like Windows XP or 7 all fine! >>>HR<<<

[Resolved] [Q] HD2 Stuck in Splash Screen. Attempts to Flash get Errors

I've an HD2 stuck in the initial splash screen and would greatly appreciate help in how to reload a ROM
I tried reloading the official ROM but the update failed after 9% with error 290
So I thought I'd try HPSL custom ROM approach.
I want to end up with Win7 (I think!) so I was following this thread
I loaded HPSL2 OK
(The 3 colour screen now says
PB81100 HX-BC
SOL-2.08.HPSL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40)
I downloaded radio 2.15.50.14 and tried to flash that
HD2 toolkit (Load RUU) produced
Renaming the file LEOIMG.nbh on the SD card seemed to work (it got to 100%) then came up with the message 00018003 LEOIMG.nbh - fail
RADIO_V2 Fail
Update terminate
UPDATE fail
And all I get when I restart is a pretty "software update failed, Try again" message
I can still get the 3 color screen and the PC makes a USB connection but it seems I have to load something else
I was going to try MTTY (from the unbrick an HD2 thread) but when I start MTTY up it does not list USB as a possible connection (I'm on Win7 and there does not seem to be a way to tell activesync (equivalent) not to look at USB)
So I'm out of ideas and cant find a thread that will help. Any suggestions gratefully received
PS: Actually, I would be really happy if I could just get rid of HPSL and restore SPL 1.42 (for warranty reasons)
It seems the normal way is to load a stock ROM but as above, the load sticks in the first bit (when trying to load the radio)
Is there anyway I can cook a ROM to just have SPL in it and flash that (or maybe just not have the radio in it)?

PARTIALLY RESOLVED
it seems that HPSL4 allows you to install SPL 2.08 or SPL 3.03 and get rid of HPSL. SO I 'll try that and see if HTC will repair under warranty
