Captivate Benchmarks - Captivate General

Didn't see any other threads yet, so here are my Quadrant numbers. Personally I don't think it's a great benchmark, but it does give some measure for comparison...
All my tests were done 3 times and then averaged. CPU frequency scaling was set to "performance" to prevent throttling.
ROM: I897UCJH3
Kernel: Unhelpful's 1.2GHz OC Kernel
Mods: SuperRooterExtreme w/ Tayutama's LagFix v2.2.2 (Ext4)
CPU @ 1.0 GHz (Stock):
total: 1887
cpu: 768
memory: 1825
io: 5614
2d: 311
3d: 918
CPU @ 1.2 GHz (Overclocked):
total: 2116
cpu: 906
memory: 1743
io: 6547
2d: 358
3d: 1029
Anyone else?

There are a million benchmarks in the related threads (overclock, lag, kernel, ROM version, etc.) - so you probably should just search on the word Quadrant and you will get more junk then you know what do with.
BTW, it has been determined that the Quadrant scores are virtually meaningless - Cyanogen has been able to get +3000 scores by doing some easy trickery - in the end the Quadrant benchmarks have no value in regards to real world performance.

That may be the case, but I haven't done any trickery. And I still think for lack of a better tool, it provides some manner of comparison. And having benchmarks in a single thread is a lot easier to compare than all over the individual mod/speed fix threads.

we can Overclock the GPU to run at 384Mhz like her big brothers ( OMAP4460 )

Check the wiki page
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_Instruments_OMAP#OMAP_4
Omap 4 tecnology.
You can see:
OMAP4430 PowerVR SGX540 @ 304 Mhz
OMAP4440 PowerVR SGX540 @ 384 MHz
OMAP4460 PowerVR SGX540 @ 384 MHz
OMAP4470 PowerVR SGX544 @ 384 MHz
And this last, the memory runs at 440Mhz, when the SGSII runs at 600Mhz, so the Optimus 3D? what frequency are runing the mems? ( if is 300Mhz, that dual chanel is wort? )
Anyway, i think this GPU can be overclocked to 384 Mhz? What do you think?
To overclock the o3d you need kernel that support overclocking. This kernel will come with CM7 rom

But i mean at GPU level, i read the sgx540 is hard to overclock...
Any way i can make my mod of the cam for the CM7 ? or is source close?
I think it's possible coz the same GPU existz in Galaxy S and o/c to 350Mhz and more with Talon kernel wasnt nothing special to make
Might be as easy as changing the source in
/drivers/gpu/pvr/omap4/sysconfig.h
#define VS_PRODUCT_NAME "OMAP4"
.......
#if defined(SGX_CLK_CORE_DIV5)
#if defined(CONFIG_SGX_REV110)
#define SYS_SGX_CLOCK_SPEED 304742400
#endif

apples and oranges comparing the two since only the cpu cores are the same.

[Q] Samsun Gio 800 mhz is default or overcloking?

My friend say the amr6 from gio is original 600 mhz with overclocking to 800 mhz (+200 mhz).
Its that true?
Because samsung mini to have 800 mhz have got CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (Android 2.3.7.1) to have 806 mhz, and how can be possible gio have 800 mhz without cyanogen if the amr6 are really overclock.
My i buy in vodafone official shop.
if you look at the technical details of the phone it says:
HARDWARE AND S.O.
S.O.: Android OS
Version: 2.2 Froyo, TouchWiz UI v3.0
Processor: MSM7227-1 Turbo 800 MHz
if I have been helpful, please thanks.
One little question this turbo does mean overcloking but means give more fast cache to cpu right?
yes, when CPU is under high stress the cache is increased as the clock. CPUs have different "slots" with certain clock, when the processor needs to do a lot of work he sets the CPU slot higher in this case 800MHz.
if I have been helpful, please thanks.

Benchmark Scores

Post your Benchmark scores here.
Also mention the Benchmark Tool and Device Info please.
So, we can compare ROMs and Kernels..

My Score was 713 in Quadrant Standard.
Device Info:
Kyrillos' v9.5
G3MOD 2.3 OC
Also, v6_supercharger was enabled, ChainFire3D and CPU OC @ 1.2 GHz..
749
Same device, but 749 with other settings...
935 with Kyrillos V10 Final, Openfimg, Arakmars ICS 24 Kernel and 1.2 ghz max and min

How do I adjust CPU frequencies on Galaxy Y

I'm running Evo-x ROM with Merruk's Kernel. I have No frills CPU installed. However, there are only two frequencies from which I can choose, 832 MHZ annd 312 MHZ, I heard this kernel can overlock. It came with lots of governors but I still can't the option to adjust frequecies other than 832 and 312 and nor can I find where to overclock the phone's processor from.
