[Q] Battery Cover Give - Captivate General

On my 2nd captivate as the first had a dead pixel. Anyways, on this one there is a slight give with the battery cover if you try to slide it side to side which I didn't notice with the first one.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I noticed as well. Its too slight to care about though and once I get a case on there it wont matter. I have to really try to get it to move anyways...

Call/Home button raised despite no drops!

Hey,
I was just curious, has anyone had a problem with the call/home side of the navigation panel raising slightly on your Touch Pro? I haven't dropped the phone at all, yet this started to occur after 2-3 days of having the phone, I'm tempted to take it back, but when I make a call, it simply pops back down. If it becomes a reoccuring problem I'm definitely going to take it back to Sprint; however, before doing so I was just wondering if anyone else had this issue, simply so I can label it as a manufacturing defect, not carelessness, which I'm sure Sprint will immediately think. Thanks in advance for any help, guys/gals.
Greg
I have had this problem. It started to really annoy me so i took it back to bb, plus the way mine was sticking out i felt that some type of dust or debris would get stuck inside the phone.
Well I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who experienced this problem, I have reason to believe it might have been caused when I took off the plastic coating originally on the front face of the phone, and the adhesion to those keys raised it a bit, cause I know I haven't dropped it at all. Thanks for the reply though.

Broken Corner

I just went to Verizon and replaced my thunderbolt. However it seems the corner is broken, it doesnt seem to be attached to anything and there is some light leakage, Has anyone else had this problem?
What do you mean by broken corner? Just having light leakage? If that's the case, it's relatively common. You can either keep returning till you get a good one, or do like a few of us and buy some black caulk and seal it up that way. I did this and I don't have any issues with it and you can't even tell that I did anything to it...even if I tell you to look for it.
If I push harder then normal I can see some lcd squirm in the corner plus it seems to be slightly off, but I might just be insane. If I can find a way to show it in a pic I'll upload it
Might want to take it back.
Sounds like there may be a defect. I would suspect there is an issue. I have pressed and not seen the any interference with the LCD, or any movement.

The Battery Door saga

So, I've heard people having ridiculous troubles getting their battery doors off, but mine is quite the opposite. It takes only a little pull to get it, and when it is "on" it seems like there is a unintended gap between the door and body of the phone and it doesn't seem to lay flush with the edge of the body. I actually bought another battery door to see if mine just lost its ability to lock but the same annoyances occur.
Has anyone had a similar situation and know a fix? Is there a "right" way to put on the battery door?
Thanks!
Takes 2 people (or 3 hands) just to get my bloody phone cover off, but no issues removing the battery cover. Sure is a pill to get that darn thing back on though.
I believe you are possibly the first one to complain about it coming of that easy. Where did you buy the battery cover from? Ebay? Is it a genuine HTC part?
Try calling HTC, they might send you a replacement one and it will be genuine.
Mine was hard to pull off at first but I think I may have messed it up because now I'm having the same issue. Its quite easy to get off now. Eh well, I'm going to put a case on my phone this week so hopefully it'll hold the door tighter.
Haha, glad its not just me.
Mines been ridiculously loose since the first time I had to remove it.
I have a case mate barely there on now, and its working out great.
Sent from the future...
Mine's not loose, but after reading and watching reviews, I was prepared to do battle with the battery cover if needed. In the end, some people are just brain dead. The battery cover isn't hard to take off, or put back on.
Still has me scratching my head...
They have changed the cover since the first ones came out. If you got your inspire early on the battery cover was a nightmare and usually got destroyed trying to take it off. HTC is actually sending out free replacement battery covers because the first covers were so bad.
Sent from Uranus using my HTC Inspire 4G!
Some of them are great, and some are just horrible. We actually broke one at work trying to get the door off so we could install the battery for a customer. However; mine works great, pops right off whenever I need it to, without a hassle.

[Q] loose ill fitting back cover should i be worried?

Ive had my note pro for 2 months now and i can't return it given the niche nature of this product sourcing parts will be difficult. My back cover i think does not fit perfect over the device this ratting sound which appeared last week out of the blue i have pinpointed it to being the insides being flexed and mov3d slightly causing the back cover to not fit properly,
Clearly this is a hardware issue should i be concerned?
Im worried that the insides will push more and more outward causing either screen flickering issues from a loose cable or the battery connector may get loose. Is the only solution other than taking it to samsung for repair to put a snug case over it thst clips in so that it's held in place?
It is a bit disconcerting when i press on the back it flexes in a bit before i can feel the battery etc
does anyonr else have a loose back cover that doesn't fit flush against the insides?
Crap im starting to think the ill fitting cover might be due to battery swell. Has anyone had a swelling battery in their note pro?
I can't believe i could be that unlucky to get that. I look after my battery i use a fan whrn i charge and it never heats up or overheats so nothing indicates a swelling battery byt when i feel the back it doesn't feel smooth on that side.
No need for multiple threads, you are posting about same problem here: [Q] Tapping on upper middle of screen makes rattle vibrate sound like something loose
Can some8ne give mr an answer at least as to what it might be?

Question Hinge movement when fully folded

Hi guys, I have been using the Flip 3 for a few days and noticed that when the phone is fully folded, the two parts of the phone can move slightly.
I first noticed this when I tried to use Samsung Pay with the phone folded, and when I pushed the power button, the top part of the phone body shifted a bit.
I wonder if anyone else noticed this on their flips?
I just tried wiggling mine when it's closed but it's solid, no movement at all.

Nothing here, my FLIP3 feels rock-solid, no shifting/creaking/etc.

The bottom part it's a little loose on mine. I can see it move a little from the hinge when it's folded. Defective.

That's what's happening on mine. It doesn't bother me that much but I might contact samsung about this and see what can be done.

I had another one before this and the hinge was so loose, it almost opened by itself. Good for people who want to flip it with one hand. It's lottery with this phones. If you are not lucky...
i got the same thing, when closed the move can move a litle bit to the left or right, when openend i dont have any movement.

Thanks for your input. I reckon it's within normal tolerance as it is a moving part after all. It's fine to me since once the phone is open, there's no budge
I have two Flip 3. One Flip has this problem. The other not. Samsung itself only offered me to send the device back and then buy a new one.
How did you get on with Samsung on this? Mine has started doing it!
Mine does it as well. About 1 mm at the most. I'm sure this is within tolerance. Those that don't probably will at some point. It's completely normal that the hinge loosens a bit with use.
Yep tiny bit of movement so acceptable/expected I guess
No movement on mine. I got it day 1 and it's gotten some pretty heavy use.
Had mine since Sep 3rd and when there's no case on there's zero movement, though with the offical leather case the two halves have some slight play(might be due to the case providing more of a bumper along the screen).
Hey all,
Happens on mine as well.
Before this one, I had another unit for testing purposes and that wan't wasn't moving at all. Mine moves a little bit... not worried to much about it, but it's there.
Mine has a bit of play, it also has the tapping sound when running my finger across the top from what sounds like the screen Separating.
