Xperia X10 or HTC Desire or wait for WP7?

Hi,
I bought a HTC Hero last week but it came with a dead pixel so I sent it back (eBay). I didn't use it, really, but Andoid looks nice. (I am a Widows Mobile veteran - 2006-2010, and I'm 18).
I bought a T-Mobile 30 day rolling contract last week (£10 - 100 mins, 100 texts + internet booster),, which is a great value, so I was looking to buy a handset separately (hence Hero). Ideally I want to spend £200 to £250. No more, because prices depreciate very quickly from higher than that.
I was looking at another Hero, but realised how cheap a Desire or Legend or X10 could be, if on a contract!
For a 24 month contract, at £10 per month (100 mins, 100 texts + internet booster), a Desire would be £164 from T-Mobile. This is fantastic, I think, as I would ALWAYS spend at least £10 on airtime.
An Xperia X10 would be £226!
I hope this helps some people, as I was pleasantly surprised by the T-Mobile UK prices. I am working right now but will be a student in London next year, so I don't want a contract that's too expensive (ideally no more than £20 per month).
Also, I've read that Virgin will offer some of these - should I try Virgin or steer clear?
However, there's a part of me that thinks I should buy a cheaper phone that can still communicate just as well, and wait for Windows Phone 7.
What should I do, what should I do? What are you doing?

I'm trying to decide myself whether i should get the X10 or the Desire. I like the X10 form factor, but the display of the desire seems to be much better... AMOLED + 16m colors vs 65k :/

Had those thoughts about the screen myself, some time ago and today too.
From a comparison review (can't remember where) there appears not be a huge difference (i.e. 56k doesn't make much difference). AMOLED has its downsides also.
Maybe I'll start a thread on this...

From what I see on GSMarena the most notable differences are screen size and display. X10 also has 1GB of memory instead of the 512 of the desire.
Main thing that is drawing me towards X10 is that i have had 3 HTCs so far and the driver quality is abysmal on WiMo phones, dunno how they are on Android. If they still lack GPU drivers for the chips then defenetly I will be leaning towards the X10.

for me theres only 1 choice, desire. it has better screen, it has sense, android 2.1 not 1.6 and u dont know when its gonna get an update if it actually will get one. and desire looks better

you dont need that much memory anyway, x10 still lags and has that stupid keyboard bug while typing first word

I think HTC Desire with HTC sense is a much more robust and refined way of using Android personally
HTC have been fiddling with Android since the G1 - and they've got it pretty much spot on now.. Which is why i've finally taken the plunge with the HTC Desire.
It's going to another 1/2 phones until i think Sony really has a grip on their UI and Android itself, but the X10 is one hell of a first attempt. Also only further confirms how seriously the likes of Sony are taking Android now.
Motorola, Sony, Samsung LG and HTC - all backing Android in a very big way.

Do you have any more insight regarding the driver support on HTC android sets? Particularly the Qualcomm GPU drivers (Which are absent in WiMo). I figure thats the main drawback of my HD... If it had proper driver support it wouldn't seem slow..

If someone who has used either, could compare (X10 particularly) in the coming days and weeks, it would be great.
I will almost probably go for the X10, for its superior sound quality (not great, but on my Hero it was poor, and Desire probably will be too) and camera. I use these features quite a bit, surprisingly, as I won't carry an MP3 player and camera in addition to this (especially as it's huge).
I hope with some confidence that bugs will be addressed very quickly and the 2.1 update rolled out soon after. I look at at as a handset with potential. This applies to screen colours too, I suppose.
This is based on an Engadget review. Not very in-depth, but it's a start (hopefully GSM Arena et al. will review the final product soon)
I might well buy it on Friday or Saturday (next wage!), from T-Mobile (online), so feel free to ask questions after I confirm it's arrived.
T-Mobile is good value!
Say handset only X1 is £450.
It's around £230 on a 24 month £10 contract with 100 mins, 100 texts, internet + booster. Total = £470!!!
I want the white one though, so maybe I should wait a few weeks for Orange.

[Q]Sony X10 vs Moto Milestone

After a month of windowshopping,
My decisions have came down to the Sony X10 and the Motorola Milestone.
The prices on ebay are almost identical on these, even though the contract price of X10 is cheaper than the Milestone. ( not sure why )
I like how the Motorola Milestone has a physicial QWERTY, however, I have heard that it is not the greatest, and the Processing speed of the Milestone also worries me.
On the other hand, X10 has a great 8.1mp camera, 1Ghz processor. Its sad to not have a physical keyboard but I dont think the world is going to end.
Another question is that will the X10 be getting an upgrade soon? I notice it's still running 1.6, but Sony promised to make an upgrade.
PS: I'm not too crazy about modding my device and such, but Im willing to mod my device if it makes a big difference.
I'm also not a huge fan of the Nexus One/ Desire designs, and the price + shipping for one is also a bit beyond my limits.
What would you guys suggest me getting?
Your input is greatly appreciated!

Is anyone jumping ship to the Dell Streak?

The past few months I've fallen in love with the Dell Streak but it's release kept on getting pushed back. I bought the Captivate on a whim because I got bored with the 3Gs (owned all iPhones but not the i4). Hopefully AT&T will have some in stores before my return window ends for the Captivate. The Captivate does have better hardware all around, minus the camera flash and front cam, but the Streak's 5 inch screen is my main attraction to it. I need some hands on time with it

Sorry bud I thought this was a Captivate forum? 5 inch LCD got nothing on a 4 inch Super AMOLED.
Besides 5 inch is too clumpsy to hold. 4 inch is the PERFECT size to fit on your hand.

Holy **** this is dumb, where else should I post this? Streak General, maybe, but I'm highlighting the positives of the Captivate as well.

The streak has a SMALLER battery(relative) and a screen thats some 20% bigger or so. Even though the captivate supposedly has the best battery of any smartphone on the market, I still feel it dies way too fast.
If for nothing else, you can't friggin use these phones for long. At least the captivate tries to be super batt efficient. Froyo did wonders for the Evo, lets hope it does the same for the captivate...
Oh ya, and who knows if the streak will ever get froyo

I've owned every iPhone since the first (even the i4 for 3 weeks) and tried out the Evo 4g for a month and absolutely loved Android. Returned the Evo within the 30 days and bought the captivate. While it does have its bugs (lag and GPS), it still is a great phone. Out of the box, I don't think it would be noob-friendly like the iPhones are, because you really have to tinker around to get it working up to speed.
Now the Dell streak, WOULD be great if it came out in time. But now, the hardware AND software is dated. 2.1 was leaked for it, but that may be the last official software update Dell may release for it. The community behind the Streak may be lacking because its only coming out (so far) on AT&T, while the Samsung Galaxy S phones is a literally a worldwide release. Therefore, the hacking community may be slim - thats one reason why I love the Galaxy S, it really has great support from the community and even Samsung is listening to the people now.
Streak:
+ Large screen, great for viewing web, movies, etc
+ Aesthetically looks great (it looks like a larger version of the Captivate)
+ The GPS probably works
- Too large to comfortably hold with one hand or use for calling
- Compared to SGS, slower CPU and GPU
- Screen pales in comparison to Super AMOLED and Retinal Display
- 1.6 Stock loaded, 2.1 beta leaked, but no official release date
- Dell Android UI = UGLY
So, no, I wont be jumping ship, but I do want to play with it. ATT store did not have any in yesterday

Well put, Andy. I was once extremely interested in the Streak too. Now it is second fiddles to the GS, DROID X, and Droid Incredible.

The op is discussing the captivate. Whether to keep it or not. Why not go post something like this in one of the ip4 vs cap threads and see how far that gets you? Ease up man.
To the op, I'm getting the captivate for the same reason I got the fuze, lots people in the community. The phone is sold worldwide. Itss the first high end android phone on ma bell, one of the best harware wise period. Keep the beast.

I think it's a valid question and this is the right forum for it.
I won't be switching to the streak. I like the galaxy screen too much to switch to the streak. Also,i feel that a five inch screen is really stretching that wvga resolution too far. I read the streak is also shipping with android 1.6. That is a deal breaker and a half for me.

I have owned almost every current android. While each is unique my experience summed up goes like this. N1: too many screen problems, early updates, small app storage. Droid: the phone that started it all. Eris: junk, Droid Incredible: great phone great II decent app storage, gaming capabilities lower due to snapdragon. Droid X: great overall, great build quality, great amount of app storage(8gb), decongestant most powerful phone made CPu,GPU wise, awesome screen. Gets better with use. Samsung galaxy S: overall most powerful android phone available, great foe gaming, unfortunately not on Verizon yet, fantastic screen. By the time u are able to get the streak it will b way outdated with crap II. Stick with what u got. Motor will b bringing a new phone with OMAP 4 to Verizon this fall it will be the only thing that will compare to SGS power user wise. Well that's a short synopsis of my experience.

I too thought the Streak was interesting - 9 months ago. Now it is dated. As mentioned already, it is to big to be hand held phone, it is sold at full price but locked to AT&T, and the hardware and shipping OS are old.
If I want a phone that is to big to use as a phone, then I will get a tablet with 3G, and wear a BT headset all the time.
Oh, and rumor is that Samsung will be showing off some new tablets in the upcoming weeks.

I totally forgot about the community aspect between the streak and captivate. I already put the JM5 EURO GS on my captivate and there's many more projects GS users are working on. You can just take a look at ask the activity on the I9000, vibrant and captivate forums VS the streak's.

I own both the Captivate and Streak. Streak is great for real estate space but not so great as a phone. I use the Streak now as a replacement for my archos 5 for surfing on the couch or bed. The Captivate is the day to day phone.

I think I'm going to get the Streak in a couple months and have both my Captivate and the Streak. Had the Streak come out a month or so ago, I would have had one. It seriously takes this long to release basically the same phone across the pond? I could even see if they'd updated to 2.2 in that time, but its still running 1.6. And that makes me wonder if and when they will update to Gingerbread. At least with the Captivate I know Samsung will get me to 2.2 in a timely manner.
The only reason I'm still even considering trading is because of the pentile screen on the SGS, BUT the pixel density on the Streak sucks anyway, so *shrug*.

Just to let you know, there are multiple websites posting that Dell is going to be shipping the Streak with Froyo instead of 1.6. I haven't seen any updated benchmarks, but I am sure they'll be around what the Nexus One can get.

no, it still ships with 1.6 and froyo is only RUMORED to be released by Dell (and skipping Eclair), but at an unknown date - could be months off.

I love my Captivate, I looked at the I Phone4 they were side by side at the AT&T atore and held it played around a bit on it but I was already sold on the Captivate, I researched it for a while. It isn't Noob friendly, electronics no longer come with a user manual worth a dime but once I downloaded the pdf I played with it night and day. I lurked on Android Forums, and here to learn as much as I could. I love playing with gadgets that are pretty much idiot pfoof and I think the Samsug pretty much is. I've only had it 3 weeks and I have it tweaked to my liking for now. All the AT&T crapware is off of it as well as some other bugs that are also gone thanks to BuglessPete's Unleash the Beast Rom/Tool. I wouldn't by Dell no way, imo, they make an inferior product these days. I would feel uncomfortable with a 5" screen, the I4 is too small and this Samsung is the perfect size. Plus, the Hummingbird processor is lightning fast and there is so much available as far as tweaks go in these forums this phone will be quite fun to mess around with for quite some time.

The big screen is nice I guess (too big imho), but Dell clearly does not seem to be pulling out their A-game for this phone, so even if I needed/wanted a phone with that much real estate it'd be an awfully tough sell.

Do not buy:
- has 30fps cap issue like the evo
- very low benchmark scores.
- android 1.6 with slow updates.
- little to no dev support.
Dell made so many mistakes with the device launch it is just sad.

Next phone, Xperia Arc or Moto Atrix?

So heres the deal, Im on att and already upgraded so I will have to buy either outright, overall I'd say the Atrix bests the Arc in specs but the design of the Arc is fantastic imo and it has a better screen and im gonna assume the camera will be better, im just not sure though, also theres the question of release date and price, anyone have any ideas when these phones will come and how much on eBay? Also do you think that the Arc will make it to att or at least a 3g compatible version at launch? I know people are gonna say avoid SE but I like them and I liked the X10, only thing that annoyed me was no MT.
Anyway what do you guys think? I really need a new phone as I am using a 3GS after my captivate broke, its not bad but I really miss Android.

Well you like Android so I'm not gonna go into the pros/cons of the OS. Just these two devices.
Xperia Arc (Should be out by April, most likely WON'T support AT&T 3G)
Pros:
-Good quality camera
-Thin and sleek
-4" Screen (not too big, not too small)
-Great screen BUT there's only a major difference when playing videos or looking at photos. Besides that, it's just a normal but good quality LCD.
-Gingerbread 2.3
Cons:
-Sony Ericsson put a skin on it
-Sony Ericsson has a spotty history with updates (I'm sure you know that being a X10 owner).
-Probably just as expensive as the Atrix thanks to the "Sony tax".
Motorola Atrix (Should be out by March, launching on AT&T)
Pros:
-Tegra 2 = total beast and the fastest thing out there.
-4" Screen (not too big, not too small)
-Screen resolution of 540x960 (qHD) -- the highest res screen of any Android device.
-Motorola is better than most to provide software updates.
-Crazy WebTop app and Laptop 'Dock'
-1930mah battery -- largest of any Android device.
-HSPA+ so you get 4G-like speeds.
-Front-facing camera
Cons:
-Motorola's abortion of a skin is on there.
-Froyo 2.2 and no idea of when upgrade will come.
-WebTop app looks cool, but could still suck.
-Despite large battery, Tegra 2 is under the hood and that could suck some battery really quickly.

Do you like MotoBLUR or whateverskinSonyEriccsonhasontheirGingerbread? I personally think MotoBLUR is complete crap and the fact that AT&T is not known for updating their phones rather quickly might be a roadblock. Than there is the locked bootloader if you don't plan on doing much with custom roms.
In all seriousness, there is no way in hell that the Atrix will have a better camera than the Arc, mainly because Cybershot cameras usually take phenomenal photos (tested with two Cybershots) and the Arc kind of has the censor from the Cybershots. The Arc might be the best camera orientated Android phone despite the lack of 1080p video recording. Motorola isn't really known for having good cameras, but they are known for using gorilla glass on most of their phones, so I am assuming the Atrix has that.
Depends on your preference really. I would personally go with the Arc and hope that SE is true to their word about updating their phones.

Most unlocked phones have AT&T bands, so I wouldn't expect the Arc to be any different.

I would definitely go for the Atrix. Im on ATT too but I upgraded last june to the captivate so I will be waiting as well.
However, I would definitely get the atrix because of the specs and docking capability.

Well im leaning towards the arc as I like SE and imo they make the best looking phones, and that silver one is...wow! Only thing I need a confirmation is price, date and most important if it will have 3g bands, im willing to wait but not till the mddle if the year either lol

I would go with Sony, mainky because i own X8 aswell and it proved to be a quite nice phone for the price range it has.
Yea, updates are Sony's biggest con, but besides that i had no real problems with it All their devices i had run pretty nice and smooth

Defiantly arc the looks of it are awesome plus it'll have 3 rd gen snap dragon soc won't be as powerful as atrix but the is like no apps that really use dual core but wait and see as for me battery life is huge

It's funny how peoples' tastes differ. I think SE phones look horrible, especially the Arc. Also, in a few months time phones with single-core processors will seem so out-of-date.

lol it is funny, I love Sony's phones, they always look different from the competition as well instead of an iphone wannabe, Atrix looks so....common.

Wait and watch the forums on XDA see which phone gets rooted first/more easily and see which phone is more easily modded.
I had the X10 and while it's a great phone the lack of support from SE really annoyed me and the fact that they locked that phone down like crazy was even more frustrating.

True, but as every phone out there, X10 will get unlocked properly sooner or later. Wasn't much of a factor here when i was buying my Xperia X8

Not true, I had a Motorola Milestone (European version of the Droid) and that never was properly unlocked-- still a great phone for it's time through, despite its weaknesses.
Anyways, to actually answer the question, the Atrix is a beast. 16gb internal storage is fantastic. Super fast processor. Both Sony and Motorola have pretty crappy track records when it comes to customer support, so don't expect much from either company on that front. I'd go with the Atrix.

Atrix is way better. I dont trust sony phones....

I can talk about SE Arc 'cause I personally use this device atm
I'm really satisfied for its functions, pros:
a) weight, it's so light
b) good media section (camera, music player...just radio is pretty poor in tuning)
c) pack (two usb cables, one for charging, the other for car charging - car charger included - screen protection - nice headphones)
d) display (wide enough and natural colors)
e) design (IMHO, the best form factor atm)

i've seen both phones a prefer the dual core atrix as it is much quicker (atleast in my experience)

old lg phone - was nice had fm radio and sudoku game that wud entertain me for along time from 2001 -2006
lg cookie 501 - was very customizable skins , java games and 3 mp cam was good 2006 - 2008
nokia c6-01 - early ages of symbian^3 , had cool games and such but was so laggy!! the camera was awsome 8mp! with dual led 2008 - 2009
htc wildfire!! - first android , after my nokia got drowned , i bought the wildfire cause it was cheap and had good reviews , i liked htc sense 2.1
but was unsatisfied cause it was stuck on froyo.. sense made it more laggier! but the 5mp cam was ok but worse then the c6-01. 2009 - 2010
galaxy mini - was an awsome phone that had alot of custom roms!! released on gingerbread , 600mhz was ok 3mp cam was a really big
downgrade!!! the fact i like this phone is the custom roms it felt new when i got rid of touchwhiz 2.. 2010 - 2011 sept
and finally
xperia ray - current phone 1ghz 512mb ram , gb > ics > soon jellybean , exmor r sensor 8mp! 9mm , this was amazing the support that sony has is amazing and so durable. it made stay for the nxt sony phone 2011 sept - PACMAN ROM!!

I had a Nokia 2720 from 2009 to mid 2010. Way too simple of a phone.
Then I got a Motorola EM330. Just as simple as the Nokia, but had microSD expansion so I could store my music.
In November of 2011, I decided to get my first taste of Android. I got a Motorola Cliq. Many ROMs but was a lag beast. 5mp shooter. Terrible and no flash.
December 2011. Bought a used LG Ally off eBay. It was a step up in speed, step down in camera (3.2mp but with LED flash), big jump in pixel density and screen resolution, but only had a small handful of ROMs.
January 2012, I got a Motorola Droid due to high development and a recent ICS port. Nice large screen and high DPI, good 5mp camera with dual LED flash, but definitely had great development. First of my phones with Adobe Flash. Such a cool factor.
March 2012, I received a temporary Droid 2. With a 1GHz processor, I had high expectations... but was disappointed by the lag when loading pages with lots of pictures such as phonearena or phonedog. I definitely noticed a speed increase in gaming compared to my other phones, however. Updated to unrootable firmware and to this day the only phone I have owned that is still on stock ROM. Same cam as Droid 1.
Late June, 2012. I bought a Motorola Flipside to replace my Motorola Cliq which was still my phone for calling/texting. Awful development and awful memory, but speedy processor and good enough RAM. CM7 and link2sd saved me, thankfully. 3.1mp no autofocus the worst smartphone camera I've used.

My first phone was a Nokia 8210 then 8310, 7210, 3650, 9210, 9500, E61i the best phone I have ever used, E71 was fast but lacked the E61i grip, a few 1100 and that sort of phones, currently i got the X1, dual Sim and both works at the same time which is great for a $35 phone that has a slot for micro SD up to 16 GB.
Blackberry 7270 First blackberry with bluetooth, BBM v1 was hit back in the day, 9500, 9000, 8910, 8250, 9700, 9800, 9900
Sony Ericsson W900i, T68 great phones, If i can remember correctly T68 was the first phone to have colors
Android HTC Dream (T-mobile G1) great phone i still remember people used to switch the trackball of this phone to a Blackberry, Alcatel One Touch 991 current phone, just unlocked it and I'd be using more and more of it, fast for it's value €100, battery life isn't that great, barely hold a day, but with that price I didn't expect more.
iPhone 3G, 3Gs, 4, 4s, they only lasted a week after iPhone 4, but I wasn't a big fan of no flash where others manufactures had a greater specs.
iMate JASJAM oh man, GPRS, Windows Live Messenger and all of that reminds me of the good old days, pre-iphone generation kids now adays wouldn't know how it felt.a
Palm can't recall the model or when I had it, i know it was there somewhere.
Java has it's touch too with games and apps

Experience with my phones
I do not remember some of them. But i got excellent experience with my cell phones. I do remember I git Nokia N10 initiall. It was nice phone though not much features.
Then i moved towards NOkia Cell phones. It was a great Experience. I used Nokia 1112 with FM, and some other features also nice keypad. I also used Nokia 1110 and Nokia 103. All are cool sets. Very reliable and worth full indeed

My first was a Nokia 8310, then a 9500. Then I went on a Motorola spree with some silver flip-phone pieces of ****, followed by a RAZR. Tried a Blackberry Pearl 8310 for a while. Now I am on a Samsung Infuse 4G.
What motivates me to try a new phone? Price. I am a cheap SOB, and am willing to use slightly outdated tech to save a buck. The total out-of-pocket cost for all of the above phones is a whopping $0.01 U.S. which I paid for my latest Infuse.

My first cell phone N343i, and I think that was somewhere around 2005. At the time I had actually no use for a cell phone, but I just had to have a cell phone for "all the other" kids had one. So after lots of looking around I found that one, and got it prepaid. I think I haven't sent more than a twenty messages with it, and nothing else. The screen got cracked over the years, but I still have it somewhere.
I think I carried it about a year and a half, and then I decided not to have any cell phone at all until there seemed the need for it again, and that was somewhere early in 2009. I got myself a nice Samsung C3050. The only requirements I had at the time were that it had the possibility to have MP3 ringtones. In the end that was a silly thing to go for, since I always had my phone on vibrate, so I really never heard the MP3 ringtone. I carried that one until a month ago, since it sometimes would power off for no reason, and sometimes it didn't even turn on. Then I moved to my dad's old N97 mini. The screen is good, but the software underneath it was so-so. Symbian didn't work as I wanted it to, and I longed for an Android phone.
I noticed the Xperia Miro, and that's the one I have now. The screen is a downgrade from the N97 mini resolution-wise, but I just didn't want to spend a lot of money on a cell phone. I don't think I need the high specs, since there is nothing spectacular that I will be doing on it. And, I don't think I should spend that much money on a single thing considering I work just a couple days at minimum wage. There are more important things than a fast cell phone! (Believe it or not. I'm quite a fan of books, and those need to be bought too.)
My next device will most likely be something top of the range, but that is just because I expect to have a better job by then.

I'm using sgs2 for a year now and thanks to developers that I don't have to buy a new phone due to fast android development. I'm testing JB on my device and my company yet to release JB updates. Hats off to developers.

First phone was some Motorola which had black white screen. It also had that sexy antenna on the top. It was a good phone, don't remember much.
The next one was I guess the first Ericsson phone(later Sony Ericsson). It didn't have any games or changeable ringtones, you could only text and call with it.
The next one was Nokia 3310. Yes, THE Nokia. I liked it, every one was jealous at me, cause it was so cool! It had the original Snake game
After that I had a couple of Nokia Symbian phones. They all sucked! I hate Symbian! It was slow and buggy, it made me mad
Sony Ericsson K550i. The best phone till the date. It had good camera, led flash light, java games(I literally had two thousand games on it!) and WalkMan music player! Awesome phone,I remember we threw that phone outside on rocks and asphalt(drunk...) and there was no scratches or cracks anywhere! I sold the phone later with a decent price.
Sony Ericsson W890. Again, awesome phone. I was a big fan out SE those days. It was a flip phone, and when the flip was closed, the button lights on top of the phone turned on and you could play music using those capacitive buttons! There was also a 1" screen above the buttons. You can only imagine how jelly everybody was...
That phone however, did break. It just didn't turn on
ZTE Blade, it was great at start. My first real smart phone(Android, baby!). It had fairly big development scene, not in XDA though. It also had official Cyanogenmod support. This phone was extremely slow, and upgraded it after a rough year.
Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. Great camera, looked good, but it was slow too. Upgraded it after two months. I just wasn't satisfied.
Samsung Galaxy S2. This phone's a beast. Dual core, decent camera, AMOLED screen, huge development scene etc. I love this big boy Bought it like three months ago.

My first phone was the SE W710i. I really liked the thing although it was really thick. unfortunately it got stolen after 5 weeks.
my second phone was the SE S500i. again a SE phone this one looked nicer than the W710i but the keys on the keypad started breaking in half. I sent it back for repair, after repaired I used it for another 1,5 years.
Third phone was the Nokia 3110c, b/c my S500i was broken for good someone gave me this phone. I didn't like it, it was very slow, the screen sucked (very low resolution and ****ty colors).
4th phone was the ZTE Blade (still got it). this was my thirst android phone. It had a very active community, so within 2 days I tested more than 5 different roms. The real downsides of this phone are the old (slow) armv6 cpu, the ****ty camera and the low headset volume.
Now I have the SGS+ i9001 I really like it, but I would like the official cm support which I was used to have on my blade.

My first phone was a Motorola Adventure V750 that I used from April 2009-April 2011. Good lord the thing was frustrating to use! It constantly froze and rebooted itself; it was a pain to text; couldn't do anything on it (tried to get games on it, but no dice!).. Bleh. It was good for being almost indestructible though!
Second phone was a Nokia E71 from April 2011-April 2012. I love it. The keyboard is great, it's durable, has a nice design... almost perfect. Though it did tend to get laggy for almost no reason, and the version of Symbian its running is pretty outdated looking. Regularly use it when I don't want to take my newest phone out...
Currently I use a Samsung Galaxy Note i717 that I got in April this year. It is a terrific phone; the screen is nice and large and crisp, it's very smooth and responsive and Android has a ton of great apps/features. I love this phone.

I've owned 4 different Sony Ericsson, love all of them! Right now using Xperia Pro, first time using custom kernel and ROM, pretty buggy..... still trying to figure them out.

My favorite is the HTC HD2, before Samsung Omnia i900, HTC Trinity (very nice phone), many of nokia models. At this time I think about Samsung G S3 but I still love my HD2.

I've owned a number of whatever blah cell phones that I've gotten for free with service contracts and all that, but the greatest phone of all was the LG enV. Loved that little keyboard, never texted faster in my life. Plus I got a pretty sick Nip/Tuck game that would gross out my friends. HTC Incredible comes second, with my current Inc2 right behind it. Droid 3 sux the worst.

For me the worst was motorola e365, I had too many problems with that phone and 2 days after finish guarante the phone was dead. From that time I never bought nothing made by motorola.

I think my telephone is the better!!! It is the lg optimus one..i have it for 2 years and i can say that you can do everything with this amazing phone!!!

My favourite android phone is xFone C2- one 3G Ice Cream Sandwich SmartPhone. 6 inch Capatitive Multi-Touch Screen is perfect for me.i have kept it for 1 year now.

Nokia 6100 - first phone back in the day was still young didnt know a lot about phones was happy with it; second I can recall was Nokia 6020 this one came with a camera didnt really feel an upgrade, ive gone with this one for a while till i got a present a nokia 7070 used it until I accidentally left it in a pocket of a vest which went in to the washing machine... Rip was quite a good one, then I got a blackberry 8320 somehow lost it one day, it was my first blackberry and was just in love with the keyboard, was writing everything that came to my mind lol... then I got a nokia n73 from a friend which I use until today, along with a xperia x10, but will go out hunting for something bigger and better in a few weeks.

I had few nokia, Those thing always work! I was young, i dropped them, throw them, etc!
SHC-U740. Dual flip. I was sure i would destroy that phone! It held on good! Viva el QWERTY phone.
Now I have a Vision. No problem so far but I just can't wait to have new QWERTY phone. The Vision Spec are quite low for ICS&JB.

HTC Rezound: Amazing Camera and audio! It was kind of slow... The screen was extremely sharp but had poor colors and outside visibility. Took forever to get ICS... Htc sense is a beast but overall, this phone was good.
Galaxy s3 (U.S. Version): Incredibly snappy, s4 processor is a beast and easily matches/outperforms quad cores. The gpu is also great but not as good as the Exynos ones... The screen is absolutely amazing, it has the best white-balance and contrast of any amoled screen. I also installed the bravia engine and pentile is unnoticeable. I have android 4.1.1 (still beta) and most things are buttery smooth... Camera is amazing too.
