Okay, we have times when we want to hide our caller's ID, we don't want our number to be noticed by the call receiving party! Yet it is so much to go through, first hitting the phone button, clicking the options, selecting caller ID, hitting the get settings, and now select provide my caller ID to "NO ONE". Took me like forever, and now I have to select the person's number from the phone book, if I still remember who I was trying to call! LOL
So I know there got to be a way!, Create a Caller ID's toggle, hit it to show or hide caller ID, simply and then select the number you want to dial and you can hide your caller ID.
Anything like that? I know I used to have the simmon's phone back in the days, when I needed to hide a caller's ID, I would just hold the 8 key and it would hide the caller's ID. Now the toggle was assigned to the 8# key, but I think if that is too much to do, why not just have a toggle, just as we have it for the bluetooth or other phone's options.
Is it possible?
um whats wrong with just dialing #67xxxxxxxxxx??

So I'm not sure where this setting is or how to disable it, but when I slide the slider to answer a call, then a woman's voice says there there is a call from some one and to press 1 to answer or 2 send them a message or something. Is there way to disable it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you'd like to answer calls to your Google number without pressing any numbers, simply disable call screening in your Google Voice settings. Here's how:
1. Click the gear icon at the top right of any Google Voice page, click the Voice settings link, and select the Calls tab.
2. Select the 'Off' radio button option in the Call Screening section.
3. Click Save Changes.
With call screening turned off, the first phone that picks up will get the call if you have several forwarding phones.
If a voicemail system picks up the call, any message left by the caller will not appear in your Google Voice inbox, and instead appear on the voicemail system that picked up the call (i.e. your home answering machine, your work voicemail system, etc.). You can turn off call screening on a per contact basis in your Contacts list.

I have had my sensation for ages now and still to this day i can not get a number to save while i am in a phone call. I dial it and as soon as i end the call the number is gone. I have resorted to now pressing home flipping a couple of pages and using the sticky note widget to easily save numbers. Terribly annoying. Anyone know of an easier way or a button to save a number in a call? Thanks.
Click on the dialer and your recent calls should be there, on the right of the number you should see a + symbol, click on it and you should have the option to add it.

Sorry i think i worded my question poorly. I dont need to know how to save a number. I mean when i am in a phone call i will dial another number (say a number read to me over the phone) well as soon as the call ends the number given to me is gone. is there a way to save it while in a phone call?

Yes but press the home button while on the phone and go into contacts before dialing the number. Dialing a number while in phone call screen causes the phone to start to think as if it was a confrence call sort of deal. (Make sense?)
Just tell your caller to hang on while you get your address book out so to spreak
I have a problem with call log. When I tap phone the upper part of the screen is blank. There is no numbers, calls etc. It's not a problem with hiding call log, I try this options but still call log is blank. I can not check who was trying call to me or use last numbers. Do You have any idea?
Hi,
Is there any App that will automatically answer all incoming calls without ringing my phone?
This App should answer for me and then ask the caller, "Please listen to the following menu options: Press 1 to speak to James, Press 2 to speak to Paul, Press 3 to speak to Sharon."
Most robo-callers begin with an AI operator. Even less know my name. So only people that know my first name and understand the menu will get through.
If the caller gets the right menu option, then my phone rings as normal. Otherwise the App should be silent and not disturb me.
An even simpler version should just go, "Press 1 to continue." Even this simpler version will block most robo-callers.
Does any App like this exist on Google Play?

Having a bad day today. Recently got word a family member passed. I need to call some people, text (not call) others, and review my call, SMS, and caller ID history for last contact info.
The problem is I have Lineage OS 14.1 (Nougat) on my LG G5 and it keeps automatically dialing numbers when I just click on someone's name, or contact info, etc. when I don't want it to!!! With family issues it's making things very uncomfortable, even when I hang up the call right away. In the past app behavior used to have common sense labels like "call number". Now, depending on the app or screen, clicking on a photo or name can sometimes open more info like history, or the horror of quickly calling a number I do not want to call, and it's made today very very uncomfortable.
I need an app, or hack, to only load the phone number into my dialer and never autodial until I manually press the CALL button in the dialer. This includes contacts, SMS app, caller ID app, everything. Yes it's an extra step but I really need this. Thank you.
EDIT: I think the feature is called Direct Call, & I want to disable it.
