I want to use an alternative program to handle contacts and calls(dialers).
I tried a few that truly support the Mega and I would like to purchase the full version of one of them (For example, Resco Contact Manager, Phone Ex.)The program activated by pressing headset button and turns the dial (dialpad) or a list of contacts from which you can directly connect.
But when I choose a contact from the program,or directly dialpad-together starts at the default oem dialpad WM. After finishing connection is always on the oem default dialer. Only when I push x or arrows the phone returns to the used program. Is it possible to show off the oem dialer and connect directly with the program?
Greetings
Try with Diamond Tweak or Advanced Configurations tool to set preferred dialpad.....

Does anyone know of a windows mobile application that will dial any number you highlight. As an example I use Handbase database application - I have been after them to put in a field that will dial the phone - it's been over 2 years I have asked for this.... to no avail. When I was Palm based Hobbysoft had a multifaceted phone app (Phone Butler)... that included a feature that if I highlighted / selected numerics and then press dial - it would dial out the number. Thanks for any info

Is there a program for the HD2 that will allow me to have the name on the person calling mentioned whilst ringing so I can hear who is calling?
I've tried Voice2go but that doesn't seem to work.
Thanx
Try Microsoft Voice Command. Works perfect for me
OK, I've install it on my HD2 but I can't find the program on the phone to try and set the settings. I click on start but the program isn't there, any ideas?
Also how do I map a button to activate voice command? when I go START > SETTINGS > MENU (ALL SETTINGS) > PERSONAL > BUTTONS, there are no buttons for me to select.
And you say this will actually say the persons name who is calling and not just the number when it rings?
I just checked mine(TmoUS HD2) and I have VC vers. 1.6.21892 preinstalled and after setting it to "announce incoming calls" it does speak the callers name.

Hello,
Just wondering if there was an easier way to do a 1-off internet call using the stock dialer and its Internet Calling features.
My options so far are to:
- Before trying to dial a number through my VOIP provider, work through the settings and turn on the Ask For Every Call option under Internet Dialing, dial the number, then turn it off after my call. Its important yo turn this off after as the internet/regular call dialogue comes up for calls through Bluetooth (!).
- Dial the number as usual, then pull up the keyboard with 'long press menu' and append @myvoipprovidersserver.com. Although this works, its a bit of a pain as the keyboard's auto-complete prevents the text from showing up in the dialer in real-time. Typos are really difficult to fix in this mode.
- For every number I want to dial through the internet, make a contact ahead of time with the email address formatted number as described above.
Is there some non obvious option closer to the actual dialer that lets me turn on/off internet dialing more quickly?
Please let me know,
- chris

I have Google Voice, TextNow, Talkatone and ZoiPer installed. I would like to have the options to select which phone app to use for each call. Unfortunately, Motorola only allow to select Phone, TextNow or ZoiPer as default phone app, neither option for Google Voice nor Talkatone. Moreover, no matter which app I selected as default phone app, once I selected, it is forever. There is no option for just this one call so I may select which phone app to use for next call. How can I have the options to select which phone app to use for each call?
Furthermore, Android Phone app actually came with SIP configuration for VoIP calls functionality. With great disappointment, Motorola continues to cripple such functionality in favor of mobile phone carriers' wish. Is there a way to restore SIP configuration for VoIP calls in the phone app without rooting?
Choose 'only once', and it won't set a specific app as default. Go to settings, default apps, and take off the default for whatever apps you choose.
