Caller ID ... - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Is there a program for the HD2 that will allow me to have the name on the person calling mentioned whilst ringing so I can hear who is calling?
I've tried Voice2go but that doesn't seem to work.
Thanx

Try Microsoft Voice Command. Works perfect for me

OK, I've install it on my HD2 but I can't find the program on the phone to try and set the settings. I click on start but the program isn't there, any ideas?
Also how do I map a button to activate voice command? when I go START > SETTINGS > MENU (ALL SETTINGS) > PERSONAL > BUTTONS, there are no buttons for me to select.
And you say this will actually say the persons name who is calling and not just the number when it rings?

I just checked mine(TmoUS HD2) and I have VC vers. 1.6.21892 preinstalled and after setting it to "announce incoming calls" it does speak the callers name.

Fonix VoiceDial

My Fonix VoiceDial keeps bringing up the Settings for Voices and Parameters instead of just going straight to voice dial.
I have to press ok before i can speak to dial a number right pain in the ass.
Can't find why it is doing this any ideas?
I think it's because you haven't selected a reading voice. You must select one of these so it can read back the contact details.
It seems very smart at recognising contacts - but not so good at determining a YES from a NO!

voice command 1.6

For some reason, even though I have gone through all the settings, I cannot get the thing to announce who is calling. I do have that option selected. The only thing it could be is the choice of speaker?
I have had this running on both my previous devices with no problems and like the voice telling me who is actually calling.
Any thoughts would be great.
From the Microsoft VC page :
Incoming caller ID announcements will be spoken via the phone speaker on devices with a Windows Mobile build prior to 15097.3.0.0. To check which build is on your device, go to settings >about or start >controlpanel >about. If your build number is lower that 15097.3.0.0, this will be true for your device

My build is 18129.0.4.5.
Where will my annoncements be spoken from then?
This is all very confusing.
can i use this program with greek lang ??

You said you've gone through all the settings, but for completeness, this solved it for me.
Settings > Voice Command > Phone > Options
Check off "Announce Incoming Calls"
This is turned off by default.
Still no joy.
I will try all the different speaker settings now, just to make sure a third time.
Thanks

No, the annoncement is not available for your device .
I not sure this will help, first disable voice command and replace the file voiceCommand_PPC.dll to windows floder. You need to show all hidden folder first. Then copy another 3 files to voice command folder under Program Files floder. Do a soft reset then enable voice command and chose announce incoming call. This should fix the problems......cheer
Sorry, forget to name another 3 files Voicecmd.exe, VoiceCmdRes_PPC.dll and VoiceCommandWMP.dll. It's work for me.enjoy
Cheers, I will give this a try tonight.

Juan
Go into the phone application -
choose menu/options...
select services tab at the bottom
select Voice Mail and Text Messages and press the Get Settings button
make sure the Voice Mail: box has the correct number for your network's voice mail access.

how can i intercept a phone call?

what i want to do is to automatically add a specific prefix to all outgoing calls made, for the purpose of saving calling fee in my area. for instance, i want to add 1234 before any call number, whether it's from call history, contact, or any other sources.
im a .net developer, but i didn't find any managed library that can intercept a phone call and make modifications to it. i also explored the TAPI a little bit, it appeared to be able to do the work for me. but the problem is i've no idea of c++ programming.
so is there anybody here who can help me on how to wrap these native methods into managed counterparts?
any/other clue would be appreciated.
Take a look at Google Voice. Perhaps that might be simpler to use to save money on calls?
Hi,
try with Settings > Connections > Advanced > Dialing Rules
I think you can setup a profile that fit your needs.

doesn't work. and i don't think that setting is for phone connection.
actually i've changed my idea to developing a separate application to access call history and contact. and then when call button is clicked, use the managed Phone class to dial out. this still needs native dll as to accessing the call history. but this seems to be more practical than intercepting outgoing calls.
iDialer
http://supware.net/iDialer/
Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but I use this with my Googlevoice configuration to make free calls. Here's how I have it set up:
1. Installed iDialer
2. Installed configuration CAB that I built through the iDialer website
3. Click the phone icon within iDialer to set it to "Ask" which service to use.
4. I also have installed iContact, so I then go the contact I want through iContact.
5. I select the number for that contact that I want to dial (Home, Work, Mobile, etc.)
6. My phone brings up a pop-up asking:
-Alltel
-GoogleVoice Internet
-GoogleVoice CallingCard
7. I select what I want and it dials that instantly.
This works VERY well for me, and I am able to use my callingcard for out-of-network calls, and Alltel for quick in-network calls.
Hope this info helps!

thanks for the details.
i have 2 queries b4 actually trying it:
1. does the phone call get available via the network? if yes, then it's not applicable for me, cos i'm using gprs which is slow if i want to transfer voice.
2. i checked out google voice and found that it only supports numbers in US. true?
Moved as not software release or development.
Please take your time to read the rules..

[Q] Javascript Andriod phone call causes Conditional Call Forwarding Active

I have created a small website and this includes a button to make a phone call. This button activates Javascript code:
javascript:window.open('tel:'+447736110560);
When I click the button the phone dialler is activated and the phone number "447736110560" is inserted (note that the leading + is lost.
When I then try to connect the call the message "Conditional Call Forwarding Active" is displayed. If I replace the "+" with "0" the same thing happens. However if I manually enter +447736110560 or 07736110560 the call connects correctly.
Any ideas on how to overcome this?
Thanks Paul
Details: Samsung S4 GT-I9505 Android 5.0.1 Chrome browser 41.0.2272.96
Problem fixed. Syntax was incorrect. Correct is:
javascript:window.open("tel'+447736110566");
