So I'm looking for any tutorials that could help, advice pro cooker ...

Can someone help me?

Hi there!
I own Qtek 2020 French and i don't know what should i do to make it on english. Please help. Thanks!
I think the only way you can do this is to flash the unit with an English ROM...though I may be wrong.
If you look at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=218&highlight=french+english+rom
(this was found by searching for ALL the words in the highlight section of that link)
The search results came back with many different posts...they may yield something better for your situation, but I would have thought the best way would be flash it with an already-out-there English ROM, whilst making sure to amend the files to stop the Country ID error.
Cheers

Languange settings > SHARP W-ZERO3

Hi,
I guess I have three questions here and I guess this would be the best place to ask. I am a K-JAM user.
1. I am planning to get Sharp W-ZERO3 but it is in Japanese language. Does anyone one know how to change the language on WM5.0 system?
2. How does the WM5.0 language interface work? Is it embedded in the ROM? Hopefully someone can point me to a "Understanding the language interface of WM5.0 101" .
3. Is the method of changing the language of WM5.0 system the same across all devices?
Thanks.
Hi lamlamz!
Unfortunately changing language of any Windows Mobile device is not a simple matter.
There are two ways of changing the interface:
1. Get an English ROM image for your device (if there are any) and reflash. It's just like updating, and you can find instructions in the WiKi.
2. Get English MUIs. These are files that contain the interface resources (everything you see on the screen). If you can get a set of those, copy them to the windows directory of the device then set regional settings to English you will have an English speaking device.
There is a catch though: these files are exe and DLL files that only have resources (string, menus etc.) and no code, but to work on WM5 they still have to be signed.
I am not familiar with W-ZERO3 so I am not sure if you can find English ROM or MUIs for it. If you have some background in programming or just know how to edit resources you may be able to create some your self.
Here's how it works:
Let's say you have a file word.exe. You want it's interface in English so you take all the resources from it and put them in a file called word.exe.0409.mui (0409 is hex language code for English).
Good luck.
Thank you
Hi Levenum,
Thanks for your kind reply. Appreciate it.
I am not programmer but a an adventurous tech user.
I guess I will have to wait for English version to come out.
Thanks again.

How to localize interface of WM5.0?

Hi there!
Can anybody say how I can localize WM5.0 by myself (into Ukrainian language)?
Which soft I need for this?
Some manuals?
try buzzdev.net but it only works on some devices i think
otherwise one have to find a rom on ones language and if non were made
you have to start from cratch dissasm'ing the rom and trying to change it
lots of hard work even for people with expience
Also search this forum for any posts with the word MUI in them (use google because search can't handle 3 letter words)
The subject has been discussed on the forum quit a lot and I am too tired right now to go n to details.
Thanks a lot! I found something. Now reading...

installing dutch on htc diamond

hello out there,
I'm new to this forum, I recentely bought a htc diamond in German and I would like to change it to dutch.
Before I ask this question, I browsed through the forum, but did not find a guidance how to fix that. As this forum is huge is difficult to find something, or maybe I used the wrong words in the search area.
So if anybody could help me out here, I buy you some good belgian beers.
Btw I'm not that clever in flashing and so. If you could explain to me on the level of an idiot,
Thx
XDA-Wiki in the top titlebar
contain a collection of infomation about the various devices
new users should always start reading that
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Diamond
language is hardcoded into the rom so you need to find a dutch rom and
flash it

Questions about translating WP7 apps

Greetings every one
First I have some information i need to know about translating WP7 apps
What I understood (Correct me if I was wrong) is:
1) The main language of any App is : English
2) The English Strings are available in a "DLL" file
3) The other languages are brought out from resources DLL files
4) The Translation will be triggered only if the phone is configured for the language of its country, ex: The German language will appear only if the phone settings are set for that.
If the above is true:
1) Could the English language be in a resource DLL file?
2) Could the main language of the App be Null?
If the above is possible:
So It is possible to translate any App for any unsupported language in the WP7 Phones with only one condition that the Phone support reading it.
If the above is correct:
Please i would like to translate your App into Arabic to unleash the capability of translating Apps in my Cultured language.
If the above is some kind possible:
My Idea is to make the English strings to be read from outside resource file then replace it with an Arabic resource file then Deploy the software in a Windows Phone and Voila.. it is in Arabic
I appreciate professional developer answers and the software developer to consider this and try to figure this out, it will help a lot of people with other languages that are not supported in WP7.
Best Regards
Azdy
