HELP: Android asks for PIN2? My PIN1 is not working. - Touch Cruise Android Development

I've just installed Android with Myn's Warm Donut, Hard-SPL and CustomRUU for Polaris.
Anyway, it works pretty good except that I can't login on the phone because it doesn't accept my PIN code and I've been searching for a while for my papers on it. I just know PIN1 code not PIN2 - is Android using PIN2 to verify the SIM card or is it something wrong?
Also, no matter how many times I enter wrong PIN code it doesn't give me error on the third as it usually does - it locks it completly and you have to use a PUK code.
Anyone know anything or have any suggestions?!

Disable sim pin

Restarting a PPc without the pin code??

Is anyone aware of an application that can softreset a PPC phone and restart it without having to go thru the process of keying in your pin code each time??
In the same way that a cash point card could be used without a PIN code to withdraw cash?
Correct me if I am wrong, I think you may be looking at a hard reset.
I'm not sure if this is what your asking but it is possible to disable asking for a pin code. But when your phone gets lost or stolen everybody will be able to use your sim...
Anyway:
Settings -> Phone
Uncheck "Require PIN when phone is used"
What I am talking about is an app like SpriteBackup which can after backing up your device restart it and aquire a GSM signal without asking for the pin code.
actually, you would need a software that is able to do soft reset and key in the pin code. none so far, but there are software thaty can key in the pin code.. like phonealarm.
Thanks ,will check it out.
If you keep the phone in flight mode then it will not ask for the PIN when restarting.

Touch Pro locked after official Rom update

After updating (successfully aparently) my Touch Pro with the official HTC Rom update, I was asked to set my four digit pin. So I did, I typed in my pin twice. But now the phone does not accept this pin. It is locked, and I am not able to log on. I tried the PUK-code from my operator, but that does not work either.
Also, there is a very long delay (many hours, maybe days?) between every time I am allowed to type in any code, since I tried so many times.
Any suggestions what I can do?
Funny enough something similar happened to a friend of mine. Sunday I told him to Hard-reset his phone (over the phone). Min you, he isn't that quick . After configuring the phone kept asking for a PIN. He entered the wrong PIN ofcourse and was blaming me for giving the wrong instructions. I told him his SIM card was inserted the wrong way. I just gave up and told him to insert his SIM in another phone, which he did. He then unlocked his SIM by using the PUK code. In the mean time I asked him to do another hard-reset without his memorycard inserted. After this final hard-reset I told him to re-insert his SIM card, connections faced down with the corner on the right bottom. Reboot, and his phone was working again.
I'm not saying you inserted youw SIM the wrong way, but he did. And his phone asked him for a pin while apparantely his SIM wasn't inserted... Anyway, give it a try and see if it works.

Locked my phone

hey everyone, i have cracked the top of my screen of my orbit the problem is that i had it pin protected and put it in wrong too many times, the keypad shows up, so i am guessing its asking me to type something, dose anyone know what this is, if i can unlock my phone i can read my text messages as the bottom of the screen still functions. I have not changed the boot or anything from the stuff the o2 shipped with it
thanks in advance
After too many pin entry attempts, the phones usually ask for a PUK code. But be careful, after too many PUK entry attempts your SIM is going to stay locked for good.

[Q] Phone SIM locked out...

I somehow locked my SIM and have no idea how I did it and therefore how to unlock it. Thought I was setting up a 4 digit pin, and upon entry it is asking for 8 digits. I have no idea what the PUK code is supposed to be and used up a couple guesses just in case it was the obvious; have 3 tries left before I imagine I'm locked out permanently...?
Any way around this to clear PW or some other work around?

Click to collapse
You can see your PUK code in your my verizon account. Also it tells you the default SIM pin, 1111. Just log in and press manage my device on the main screen, and its over on the right under "About my device"
Didn't realize I hadn't yet replied though I thanked you. Found it and issue is resolved. Much appreciated!

[Q] PIN Change Error - Locked Out

Hi,
I was changing my PIN on my Samsung Note 3. After putting in the current PIN and then putting in the new PIN. I was prompted to confirm the PIN. The "settings app" was then forced closed. I returned to the PIN change setting but my current PIN nor the new PIN that I was trying to change to worked. I then restarted my phone and I'm completely locked out.
If the PIN was not changed due to the force close of 'settings' shouldn't the PIN be unchanged? I tried all PINs I've used in the past as well as 1111,0000,1234, last 4 digits of phone number, SSN... everything but still doesn't work.
Any suggestions? I don't want to factory reset the phone. Please help! Please!
------UPDATE-------
I found that using Google's Android Device Manager I can remotely change the PIN. I can see from the website and also on the phone that the password is changing. If I change from a numberic PIN to a text password, the password input keypad changes from number only to a full keyboard. So, i'm sure that the password was changed remotely. However, the temporary password that I recent using Android Device Manager still doesn't work!!!! Can anyone help?
