Sorry... I have no idea about it

Why didn't you get an android tablet in the first place?

You will need to build or get someone to build you a custom kernel specific to your hardware, hence the reason for the "jumping to kernel" error when trying to run haret.
I should be possible if you know what your doing, dependant on hardware specs

[q] witstech a81-e windows

so i bought the witstech a81-e, and ive had it for a couple days and im happy witht the android side of it, but i cant find a straight forward way to put win ce on it.....i found a download page but its in chinese and the instructions arent clear. i followed them anyway and all it does it make the boot time longer before finally going back to android.....help? this was one of the main reasons i bought this tablet, id hate for it to be all for naught
I ordered mine a few days ago and should get it early next year. When I get it I will immediately be putting WinCE on it. I will then (if I am successful) let you know how I did it.
It is supposed to dual boot and the GPS is supposed to work in both Android and WinCE. I ordered the G model but your E model should work similarly. The only difference being that the G model has full USB support.
If you succeed before I do then please let me know how you did it, might save me the urge of throwing it against the wall
Best,
John
Have you tried these links this already?

Perhaps when the new WinCe7 is introduced?
The Market app in android is working fine after new setups.

[Q] Goophone 4GS Unable to ROOT!

G'Day All
Just recently I purchased a Goophone 4GS, simply a Chinese knock off of an Iphone, but I must say a very good one at that indeed. The phone is very nice and I like it a lot but came with all these Chinese apps installed that make it not only difficult but frustrating to use. The simplest solution is to root the the phone and install the apps I want and in English as well.
Before everyone starts pointing me to this thread and that post, I have spent every night for the past week searching and reading every bit of information on trying to root this phone to no avail whatsoever. Root Rec 3.2 does not work, permission denied, superoneclick either hangs or or comes back with the same.
Z4Root does nothing, Gingerbreak just hangs, Anyandroot says wrong version.
More searching even going to translating the Chinese forum made no difference to the outcome, following their procedure, and all the others nothing seems to work
I have downloaded a rom That I would like to use but I need the phone rooted first, I even tried to install the rom, using the initial setup (surprisingly) in English but keeps telling me new rom no E signature process aborted.
Now I'm new to this game but willing to learn, and have come a long way in a week, so If I ask stupid questions please remember I'm still a NOOB.
If anyone can suggest a procedure, or try this or that please help, Speak up and save my sanity, before end up rooting the phone in a different way.
Thanks

When you go into the phone Settings, About all listed relate to apple OS not android confuses me even more.:

I believe the version is a heavily modded version of 2.2 Froyo OR 2.3 Gingerbread.
An Update I tried a few more packages tonight, CF-Root, and 234root.zip.
CF didn't do a thing, 234 I could not open, non signature error, So I even tried installing 3e refectory installer, but all failed.
Desperate for ideas now, even tried renaming the new rom as backup file to fool the system but no work.
Desperayte for answeres Please!
Thanks

Hi All
Just so I put an end to this thread for others with the same problems the solution is.
The phone is set with an IOS operating system and when you go to root the phone the programme cannot find the correct version. So solution is.
Go to rom.gooapple.com and download an earlier version of the rom . I used 12.02.13.zip and worked.
When you enter the site do not use translator, find the rom and press on it, will redirect you to another site 115 Chinese . Under the picture there are 4 buttons press the white one and download should start.
Once downloaded install it to your SD card go to setup and update from SD, the new rom will then be installed on the phone. Then use the Chinese Root-Rec and it should root. I even checked it with superoneclick and it worked.
So when you check your version on the phone if its running IOS XXXXX then you need to change it to android.
Good Luck.
Thanks to those who assisted me, and I hope I can assist someone else.

Dualboot- Android/Ubuntu

Hey,
I've been waiting long enough with installing Ubuntu on my device.. With the bootloader unlocked it's quite possible now, right?
Could someone maybe provide som links with info on the subject?
Cheers.
Worth bumping?
Is it even possible yet? Does it differ that much from installing it on TF201?
I also can't wait to (dual) boot this fine piece of machinery with Ubuntu.
There's a guy that has been quite successful with the Prime -- Google: androiroot mobi ubuntu
His latest Ubuntu-related post was on June 16. I'm not sure if he's done any work on it since.
i'm also VERY interested in this. googled for a while but couldn't find a tutorial suited for a noob like me.
seems like the bootloader has to be modified? and nvflash to create the needed partitions for multiboot?
Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? and if so how did you do it?
Thanks,
I really want to get my tf700 setup in a dual boot set up, but I am a noob when it comes to rooting and modifying android: so I would need a though tutorial.
About Asus TF700
Hello everybody!
Anybody have a progress in dual boot Ubuntu and Android?
Or maybe someone can install Ubuntu or other Linux OS to greatest device ever created by Asus - TF700???
I heard that TF201 already has an Ubuntu ported to it. I think that Ubuntu will provide some functions, that can't provide Android, I really need "Terminal" on my device and Python language, "Synaptic" and many other...
Please do someting that many users all over the world have an opportunity to install Ubuntu on Asus TF700!!!

Force upgrade elo i-series 1.0 to android 7?

So I don't know much about Android in general and I haven't found a lot of resources about this tablet. I'm familiar with ADB and some Java but not much else. I've stumbled across this forum many times in my search and figured that someone here might be able to help me out. I would like to force upgrade it from the current Android 4.4.2 to a version of Android 7 if that's possible. The only information that I have about this tablet is that it has a Qualcomm MSM8960 SoC and 2gb of memory. I have the Elo 15 in I-Series 1.0 for Android model. I would link the spec sheet but apparently I'm not allowed to do so. Also, If it's possible to upgrade it to another ROM like Android 7, can I keep a copy of the current ROM it's running if I ever needed to go back? I haven't been able to find the stock ROM anywhere online so is there a way to maybe pull it from the device?
I appreciate any help in advance. Thank you for your attention.
So this is a question I had but I’m going to try to do the same thing as I did to my Nook HD+. Look up Nook android 7 and it will link you to some files to download and then you have to mount them and put your ELO in recovery mode. The file sets come with a bootloader that in theory the boot-loader should unlock the unit to be able to run play store and all that good stuff. Currently working on the same unit myself.
And as for the OEM software you can try to reach out to the ELO support and see if they can send you a factory ROM
