Help me plz...Im crying le..T.T....
yesterday my phone cannot touch screen anymore.
Just now i try to dissemble my phone all and put it back..still the same!
If that is LCD failure, how come when i call, there is no sound come out from the speaker,i can only use loud speaker.
PLz help me.Your help will be seriously appreciate!

now even worst...the screen black only..no sound.but the phone can on..plz help me..i really like HTC TYTN 2

that would definitely for sure probably be da ribbon cable connecting both parts of your precious.
other options would be connector on your mobo (motherboard) which would be more painful, but still fixable in service. or a chip, but that is definitely not very probable.
start here:
$25
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Flex-Cable-R...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item439f46e5b3
it would be quite expensive for just a ribbon, but as you can see there is more on it. and the price is fair.
next try to address kaiser issues in kaiser forum, you could get better and faster replies.

Papo ,i feel wanna hug u tight tight!thx so much!i dunno what is the name of this cable but i can see that cable is the problem cz the cable is broken!thx so much!

too easy!
no worries

I fix it!thx Papo.i bought it from Kuala Lumpur.Rm80.change the flex cable and done!

I am happy to hear that

I NEED SPARE PARTS FOR XDA II!! Someone help me PLSS!

Hey guys n' girls,
I need a few spares for my XDA 2 (these are gonna seem odd, but what the hell); the things i need are:
1. that crappy rubbery cover that goes over the headset jack, i lost mine, i dunno how.
2. The back cover that goes over the battery, i ruined mine, lol. dont ask how!
3. The piece above the battery cover, (the other cover, lol) it covers the camera module/aerial piece and the little circle rubber thing that goes over the external antenna connector.
4. I need a spare battery as well (preferably a higher power/capacity one; does the XDA 2i one work in the XDA 2? if it does then i need an XDA 2i battery)
5. A new Headset, I messed mine up completely!! no joke, i still have it but i dunno how to fix all the wires back together; besides the volume control is messed up, so its not worth putting the wires back together!
6. I also need the volume control switch; the one on the side, i dropped my XDA 2 and the ridges on it got flattened! Bloody trains; the rides are never smooth!
Thas it, if anyone has any or all of these (basically has an XDA 2 which doesnt work at all, and can provide me with these spares, then it will be much appreciated! i know some are weird spares but its urgent and i need them! let me know anyone, i'll obviously pay for the parts!)
Thanks!
Hi hafizur,
You can check out these guys in the U.K.
http://www.siansmobiles.co.uk
They sell the full housing... A bit expensive IMHO, but for a so messed up XDA2 like yours it's well worth it  ...
P.S.- It's amazing to see posts like this left unanswered for so many days!!! :?
I know that not many people know some answers, but I can't believe I'm the only one that knows a place where they sell at least some XDA2 parts...
Oh, well...
P.S2.- It will be nice to know what kind of punishment your XDA2 went through to be in such bad shape!... C'mon, share the complete story!!!
Good luck!

T-Mobile SDA White Screen of Death Revisited

Sorry to start up a SAD SDA topic but it has to be done...
I thought I'd be smart and pick up a broken screen "tornado" SDA from Ebay like some of us have already done. Got it, hooked up to usb cables and my activesync 4.5 picked it right up, allowing me to explore the file system and even browse some naughty pics (oops) that the previous owners had left on there. Ok, seemed to work, could make a phone call with my sim card etc...even without being able to see past the cracked LCD screen.
Next step was to buy a replacement screen, for which I am sure you all have seen the "2125 screen" that is the exact model as a Tmobile LCD. I replaced this and prayed for the best.
The best didn't happen. I got a nasty all white screen and got upset....then recheced the ribbon cable connections and they were appropriately installed.
Same thing over and over. WTF?
I have SOTI pocket controller professional. For those who don't know what this is, it allows remote viewing of the little screen on your PPC phone or Smartphone on your Desktop or Laptop computer's monitor.
It is great for the purpose of checking functionality of a "broken LCD" phone. Everything worked fine on the virtual screen! I even UNLOCKED and SUPER CIDed the darn thing and have reflashed original OS from TMO just to be sure.
WHY ON GOD's green earth can I not get a working display on this thing UNLESS of course, I got ripped off by the ebay vendor. (who never sent me a replacement envelope as promised to swap out and send this one back)
Just venting but seriously, DOES anyone have a solution.
It is not a dead phone, bricked, wrong operating system, or any of the other posited theories here. The screen is just inexplicably white and properly connected. HELP.
Thanks.
I am an MDA owner and just dabble in this SDA thing.
I would love this nice little phone to work..if not, I have a brand new housing, a possibly working screeen (with another phone) and lots of parts for someone..hint hint.

Hey mate, don't loose your faith!!! Redo the connection. The same thing happend to me, and I swore I had pluged that flat connector correctly into the socket and I didn't. Wiggle it, you can't enter it straight in, it has to slide in on an angle. Look at the one you removed. Look at the mark left by the "YELLOW TAPE" that holds the ribbon inside the slot. It will tell you how far in it has to go. Also, there are 2 other contacts that have to be in the propper position. One makes contact between the back plate of the LCD and a mesh looking spot where it sits. It has to sit in place so you have the "ground" on the LCD. If you need, I can put apart my phone and take a close picture and post it for you so you can see what Im talking about. But I'm pretty sure that your problem is just the ribbon not being in all the way. There are 2 sets of connections inside the socket. If the ribbon isn't all the way in, only the 1rst set will make contact, LCD will light up, but, no image. Good Luck and I do hope its as I say. Please let me know here or on PM if you need some pictures.

Thank you for this insightful and confident reply!
I am certain that it will be quite useful to a Tornado user with this problem in general. The screen I got must be defective (too late to return) because this advice above should be the perfect solution.
Didn't work for me though but It is very nice for someone to put the effort into posting in such a manner.
Kudos to a valuable member of our community!
I might fool around and pick up another used T-mobile SDA and pray that I can get one working properly. If this screen works on that one, I guess I bought an ebay dud (masked by the broken screen).
Yes, this phone is getting dated but I really wanted to experiment with new ROMS and push it as far as it could go.

Cracked Screen on my Touch Pro

I dropped my touch pro and cracked the screen in a few places. I think it works normally except for the screen, as it receives calls fine...
A new phone isn't in my budget right now. Does anyone know of a good place (hopefully in DC, MD or VA) that will supply or install a replacement touch screen?
(btw, no recent threads came up when I searched.)
Ebay!
Just looked, $30 including postage for a screen & digitiser if you are able to do it yourself.
How hard is it to replace a screen if it has surface damage? Is there anywhere i could find a walkthrough or help?
Shame man, its a tragedy of what happened to your phone...
Luckily its not too bad, and you may just be able to fix it. You can download the service manual for the phone here: http://htcwinmobile.blogspot.com/2009/03/htc-raphaeltouch-pro-service-manual.html
Just a note though, make sure you DO USE tweezers or something to get the speaker wires out of the way before snapping the enclosure back into position... I had to reopen the phone again, after powering it, to rejoin one of the little wires thats like a tenth of a millimeter thick DO NOT IGNORE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU IN THE MANUAL. Oh, and what works well for the "plastic removal tool" is a cut out piece of plastic ice cream container. AGIAN, do not ignore anything in there... You are voiding the warranty permanently when you do it yourself (which you unfortunately have to).
Anyways, good luck!
I drop my phone also, but the screen didn't actually cracked! but I do have is problems with the screen in other ways! Sometimes I get a black screen when I turn on the phone and sometimes not, but when the screen turns on, it flickers a lot and have lines thru it. What suprises me is that sometimes I get perfect images on the screen (Which makes me think that the screen it's not damaged).
Any suggestion would be apreciated. Thanks!
3 days and still no answer from anyone! I would like someone to throw me ligth on this issue. I'm waiting for this to know exactly what I need to buy, before I start assuming things.
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like the LCD connector may have come unseated. You could open up the phone and make sure all connectors are firmly seated if you feel confident in your abilities.

Thanks for the advice! I was thinking on that also and wanted to take my chances opening the phone (oh god!).
BTW, I saw the $30 LCD Screen+Digitizer combo on ebay that Beeble referred to, but I'm not sure if it fits on the fuze (my model). What have come to my mind it's to buy also the front camera of the phone (like a thread on the kaiser) to mod the cell, in case I need to buy the screen+digitizer. I've search all threads about this issue but nobody has done it because it was too expensive for the result; I believe with this price it's worth it right now!
solved
Try this steps:
http://www.pdacenter.ru/razborka/htc-touch-pro/
I used Diamod (!) LCD and Touch Pro digitiser. Works perfect.
Much more cheaper
If your screen works fine sometimes, you most likely don't need to replace it. there's probably just a loose connection somewhere. If you really want to replace it though, there's an ebay seller with a really good deal. $20 for the screen and digitizer already glued into a new front body piece: http://cgi.ebay.com/OEM-HTC-FUZE-LC...wItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item3ef8817bf6 That one's for the fuze, but I think the seller has other models too. I'd definitely get the LCD and digitizer together or else you might end up like I did on my first attempt: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584050

WOW! What a long way to get to the screen. Good luck for everyone who tries to dismount and mount the Raphael.

Thanks for the advise maxh,
I just wanted to let you know that a miracle just happened! my cellphone started to work just fine without even opening the phone! it has more than a week on this situation so I believe that it's exactly what you stated (the LCD conector became unseated or loose). Since it's still working, I have no need to open it! so I'll just wait until it becomes defective again and at that point just open it and tight up the LCD connector!
Anyway, I would love if somebody could make the mod that I was refereing to before (changing the screen of the fuze by the touch pro one) and see if it's possible to attach the front camera on the fuze.
Once again, thanks everybody for your opinions.
I got my new display+ digitizer on Ebay (65$) and replaced it, using the russian link mentioned above ( follow the exact procedure) , it took me 2 hours to do it, and after lot of patience it worked! My problem was the digitizer never worked fine, and after replaced it it worked like never before. If You are not familiar with repairs, it will be a mistake and waste of money to buy a display without digitizer. NOW, I have a small problem, my display has a NEW color, it's like color temp is WARM for this display, and COLD for my old display, AND COLOR level is lower, and the result is display without vivid colors, black like gray. Is there any way to change the DISPLAY color settings?

Sad Storry about my HD2

I recently had my htc hd2 fall in water, i tried the rice tricks to dry it, though this helped a lot i am stuck with a phone with no backlight.
I can see everything if i look at the phone at an angle, everything else works, camera, flash led, charging led, calling etc.
i have no money to buy an lcd+digitizer or mainboard, so please if anyone has a bricked or dead htc hd2 that they are not using can you help me out with the parts.
in exchange for this, i can help with anything related to internet marketing, SEO, website developement, content, original articles, etc
I have a LCD + digitizer of HD2 , but the digitizer does not work.... only LCD
so U may have to seperate it and fix the NEW LCD with your OLD digitizer + this is T MOBILE HD2
sorry to hear that mate have you try sending for repairs?

He said that he hasn't got money for repair.
Suggestion: I'd try opening LCD. Meaning, open phone, take LCD. You should be able to lift screen from the frame. Inside, there could be water, check for LEDs at one edge of the screen and see if there is some water/corrosion.
Also, you should be able to disassemble LCD, it consists of multiple layers and there could be some water. Just be careful and don't mix up layers and you should be fine.
thanks everyone
i will like to thank everyone who has been so kind to offer help. I really appreciate all the help.
Thanks Mally2 for the offer of lcd, please pm me so that i can help with anything relaed to internet markerting, seo or anything.
please thanks and god bless you.
hi everyone, i took apart the htc hd2 to get an idea how severe was the damage done by water, on close inspection i see that the lcd flexi that connects to the mainboard has one pin burn out, and the connector on the mainboard looks black.i washed both the flexi and the connector with acohol to get the discoloration out but the screen is still black, that is , no backlight. i don't know how bad this is, so i am hoping that someone can help me with the parts.
Mally2, i don't know if you have any info about the shipping costs from India to South Africa, please let me know, and everyone who might also have a board that i can get a connector please help me out.
Hi I will be shipping out today.. sorry for the delay, I was held up with other work..
No worries of the shipping cost , i'll look into it.

[Q] What is the name of the black connector mat behind my charger?

Hi, I have an Iocean X7 Elite which I have had for almost 8 months now. Recently I cracked the screen ( by accident of course) and I have purchased a new one.
So.... I installed the new lcd screen myself and it works fine. Only problem is it did not come with this black connector sticker/mat that lies behind the battery. So I was unable to connect my mainboard to the speaker, mic and charging socket area of the phone. I did peel the sticker/mat off the old lcd and connect it to the new one, but to no avail it does not work.
I really need help on what this mat is called as I believe this is the issue with the phone. Any help would be appreciated.. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Thank You Very Much
