I don't really know if this is the right place to post this, but I am looking for a M2TS to MP4 converter. Do you guys know of any good ones? I would prefer free, but I wouldn't mind paying for one.

Anyone know if this will work to watch movies?

That is awesome. Looks like it says it will work with WM5. It probably would work with movies but keep in mind it is only video out and not audio. Let us know if you get one, I'm interested on how well it works. Little bit expensive for my blood at around $100 on average from different websites.
not having audio out isent a poblem

you can audio out already from your head phone jack.
This product is so old.....Used and thrown away long back....
Doubt its video
It only says slides like from XLS. I would like to know if it can output video at 15 frames per second like from WMP or TCPMP ?
Hello guys, I love my Droid X but watched some videos of people hooking up to composite (much better than HDMI, not so limited). Anyone know how we can get this on the Droid X? I have a nice stereo in my car that plays movies and would love to see exactly what I see on my droids screen on my stereo. I repeat the INcredible does this!!!! Thanks

personally, every tv or screen in my house has hdmi, and I use bluetooth in the car while watching movies on the droid x, so it works pretty good for me.
did you check the google search before you made that link? it looks like he wants the out for his car, all that google brings up is set top boxes that do converting. which isn't mobile and probably isn't very easy to incorporate into a car.
I think your SOL buddy, the only option is to go with the htc inc, while it doesn't do HD out, it will broadcast all of the screen all the time, as opposed to the evo which i hear just does video output (youtube video players) and the droidx that only does gallery output
someone wants this over hdmi?
Technically HDMI is better than comp, comp is video only, no audio. Why would you do that? Not only that, HDMI can support higher resolution than comp, above 1080, not that it matters being that the X can only play 720. Just saying, why would you purposely limit yourself? its dumb.
I was wondering the same thing. And I'd prefer comp because my house isn't filled with hdtv's so outputting hdmi isn't all that helpful to me. This feature actually plays a big part with why I may be choosing the Incredible over the Droid X but if i could do this on the X, I may be easily swayed.
I would prefer to find an hdmi to component adapter.
well and theres no HDMI to comp "adapater" all the HDMI to comp products you see are full on hardwire that has a chip that has to read the HDMI and reformat the single to comp. so a whole box needing it's own power and what not isn't very usable for a phone.
unforently it's not like svid to comp something like that the single doesn't need to be reformatted. The big deal hear is you would need to go digital to analog and there's no way of doing that without serious hardware.
unforently the hdmi out on the phone isn't like hdmi or dvi out on a computer (that can pass a analog signal as well as digital.
So I have been having some issues playing .flac files.
It was my understanding through searching this forum and other online places that the Captivate does support .flac
I have found this to be iffy.
I am running 2.1.5 Cog with Voodoo; however, I don't think that this has any affect on this.
I managed to get a few of the .flac audio files to play; however, then the preinstalled media player would crash.
I have tried several of the market addons, including "Extra Media Scanner" which is the only way any media player can actually see .flac
Any ideas?

Why would you want to try to play FLAC on a device that has sound quality no where near a high quality 200$+ sound card for a PC? Better yet, will you even notice the difference in FLAC vs MP3 on a phone using normal earbuds? Probably not and never will. Unless you get some head phones that cost as much as the Captivate and a high quality head phone amp, I see no reason to try to play FLAC on this, or any hand held device. I have a hard time telling the difference from FLAC and 320 Kbps MP3s on a 130$ sound card and 80$ 2.1 head phones on my computer.
Thanks for the reply, but I do have high quality, over the ear, studio monitor, 150$ headphones. But that isnt even the point... I have an extremely large collection of music in flac that I dont feel like converting. Yeah, i know that i can hardly tell, if at all between flac and 320 mp3. still not the point though. Not trying to be a ****, but I'm looking for more of a technically approached answer rather than logical reasoning

Any one can develop a application to use the HDMI output for see movies online in my tv.
Kicking ass with my EVO
What item do I need in order to get the 7.0 plus to work for HDMI on my tv?
You will need a Samsung EPL-3PHPBEGXAR Galaxy Tab HDTV Adapter
Search amazon.com or they may have it at BestBuy. About 35.00
About $34 on Amazon. Their not cheap.
You can get the dock for the original tab. I had to shave the sides down a bit with a dremel but either than that it fits and works perfect. Only$15 now.

The cheaper HDMI adapter works also. It is a genuine Samsung HDMI dongle. The only difference is the price. A couple great streaming apks are World Streaming TV News Edition. This will give you CNN just as it is broadcast on cable or Dish network and Crackle that has great free movies and TV shows. Make sure to check the box in WSTV that says Default browser in preferences otherwise you'll get a blank screen and audio. I've cancelled my dish network service as I get all the stations I used to pay for free now through the Tablet. That's 55.00 a month in real savings for me.
Haha thanks guys was just wondering this

It does media or anything in the Chrome browser or Netflix of Youtube, doesn't mirror the screen and you'd have too much lag for games. I don;t do games, so for me its a big hit. I can take it to any room with a TV and even on the road.
All Google Cast devices at a minimum support the following media types:
Video codecs: H.264 High Profile Level 4.1, 4.2 and 5, VP8
Audio decoding: HE-AAC, LC-AAC, CELT/OPUS, MP3
Containers: MP4/CENC, WebM, MPEG-DASH, SmoothStreaming
Level 1 DRM support: Widevine, Playready
btw how much is a chromecast? is there a region lock in using that device? I'm from Philippines btw.
you can try DLNA. This is convenient and cheap.
