Just applied the invisibleshield and im not too impressed.
First, the front and more so the back covers are too small and the corners of the phone is not covered. Second, the home key cover and camera lens cover are too big, so I avoided the home button cover and stuck the camera lens on by taking off the back cover. Third and finally the tacky feel means its a fingerprint and oil magnet, as I have sweaty hands this is especially annoying.
On the plus side it was relatively easy to put on and remove the bubbles.
sounds like you got the Full Body "Easy Install" version the Full Body "Maximum protection" version would have covered the corners, and have extended wings that goes up the sides.
same here i've a oily face / fingers, Zagg will not work for me as i've posted on other topic, I'll prefer the regular 3M PET screen protectors + a Gel case instead
Does it make the phone any less slippy to hold?

Yep definately, it has a good grippy feel and the orange peel effect is reducing . Now that ive had it on a few days im warming up to it surprisingly. The best thing is that it adds little thickness and I can just plop it on surfaces without worrying about scratches.
Overall i quite happy with it, I just wished I got the full body sh*t.
would u mind to put some pics ???
i've been looking all around to see some pics of zagg installed on galaxy s but no luck !!!
i had the invisi shield on my touch hd, so the first thing i did when i got home from getting my shiny new SGS was to order one, still not arrived and thats with 2-3 day delivery. i did the right thing and ordered the full cover as it was the same price as the easy install version, i will post pics when i have recieved it and have it done.
as for gel cases i have one of them on order also as it has done a wonderfull job of protecting my touch hd (till i drove over it)
i gave up on the zagg, samsung is release nice fashion faceplates for the SGS
and i'm already using those nice gel cases + screen protector, that's more than enough protection for the phone.
out of the box, the phone is already super strong, and anti scratch, did you see the video?
it will only break the screen if you drop it from a 1.5 m high
it may be anti scratch but ive scratched the proximity sensor area already so hopefully the shield will stop other scratches. I would use a gel cover but the shield really doesnt add anything to the thickness, while the cover would.
I get some pics up as soon as I can get hold of a camera.

Thanks for the reply.
I've actually bought a silicone case and a screen protector for it and it's made it much more manageable and easier to hold and saved the phone when I dropped it the other day.

what about touch sensitivity?
I installed an invisibleShield as soon as the phone arrived. It's a pain in the ass to install as usual, and I was not able to make the top two corners look good. They've already started to peel off but I guess it's going to take a while before the back has to be replaced so I'm not going to worry about it.
Is it worth it? I'd say yes, even after a year you'll still have a phone that looks brand new. Now, the edges around the phone will probably get a couple of scratches because unlike the shield for the iPhone this one does not cover the chrome/metal/whatever bezel. Not a big deal if you ask me.
So, touch sensitivity? It's good. It's just as sensitive with the shield as without. Your fingers won't glide as well across the surface tho. One more thing which you'll see in the pictures; Dust usually collects around the edges of the shield, there is not much you can do about that. Trust me, the dust looks much worse in a picture than it does irl. You can barely see it.

I ordered the full body shield as it was half price.
I just used cheap 6 for 1 ebay screen protector as this one has too much of a grip.
As for the back, as said above the top corners just will not fit completely and lift just a tiny bit at the tips.
Getting tiny bubble out results in the orange peel effect. This is because the shield is slightly rubbery and streches as you force out the bubbles.
IMO the shield protects very well, but I cant imagine ever getting the 'perfect' look with it on.
Its far from invisible, due to slight orange peel, minute bubbles which will only turn into more orange peel should I try to force them out.
If I ever buy one again, it will have graphics on it(they have those for iphone etc, perhaps the sgs is too new..) as then the slight imperfections would be less obvious.
Id rate the item 6/10. It doesn't protect the bezel or extreme corners and doesn't look great where it does protect.
thx for the pics. i got the same edge problems on my old iphone too. the zagg shield is ordered, i should get it next week.

Don't count on it. I ordered mine on the 16th and I still don't have it (on the 25th).
i knew it would not cover the corners properly, it looks ugly when there are little pieces of plastic cropping out of the phone.
For the back I think the Zagg sheild is brilliant, almost full cover and invisible, with no extra bulk, and a little bit more grip.
For the front, I probably prefer a normal screen protector. My wife has a $1 screen protector from flea-baythat is much better to use (although needs more regular cleaning). The zagg is a little tacky meaning your finger doesn't slide as easily (not ideal for Swype).
Fitting:
I gotta confess that I didn't get the back perfect, but mainly because Ifit it in a dimly lit room, the cover edges are hard to see without bright light. I did get the corner 90% by using glad wrap (plastic wrap) tightly pulled over the corners and left overnight (saw this on a youtube demo video).
Also I once helped a colleague who fits 3m window film for a living. I noticed that he used a lot of liquid, so for the front I made up some more liquid, enough to refill the bottle Zagg provide. I used the whole bottle on the front, making fitting much easier, you can just slide tje cover around until it's perfect, then you just push out all the liquid. Using more liquid also seemed to help alleviate any bubbles. Also for the front I used a very bright light (480 lumens bike light) which made it much easier to see exactly where the edges were.
I'm also hoping that Zagg bring out the coloured/patterned backs, which in an email to me they said they would, then I'll use a regular screen protector for the front.
What is that liquid anyways?
I don't feel like it's a good idea to spray your device with something. When I put the shield on my iPhone I saw a couple of small droplets here and there enter the phone. I pushed some liquid near openings around the glass and some of it was sucked inside somehow. It hasn't damaged the phone, I still don't know if it can.
I just remixed a new solution: a couple of drops of baby shampoo with water in the bottle supplied. (I think you can use other stuff like washing detergent, but don't take my word, use google (3m film))
From the 3m website:
"3M™ Scotchtint™ Films are professionally applied by skilled, well-trained authorized 3M Dealers. Almost all of our films are designed to be applied to the inside of your glass.
The first step is to prepare the window area for the application; placing drop cloths on the floor protecting and/or moving furniture where necessary.
Next, the window glass is cleaned using simple cleaning solutions (often water and ammonia) and razor blade scrapers. Then the film is sprayed with a slip solution (detergent and water) for proper positioning, and applied to the window glass. Using a professional grade squeegee and following proper techniques, the application is completed by removing excess water, trimming the edges, and a final squeegee technique to dry the edges."
same here
liquid and electronics don't mix
i don't like the idea of having anything wet near my device.

So Ive been trying to decide on a new case for a while since I'm moving away from the otterbox defender that I usually buy for my phones. I came across this one. And it just came in this morning.
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171778123626&alt=web
I don't like really thin cases that aren't good for anything more than scratch proofing.
That being said this case isn't exactly thin, nor is it as bulky as an OB defender. I wanted a case that would protect my phone from falls, and decided this would be worth a try (especially since I got it for 9$+shipping). I wasn't disappointed, the very first thing I did was clean my phone, put it in the case, and drop tested it from 6 feet, into a faceplant and it survived without a scratch.it's got good protection on the corner, and the case looks very nice with the acrylic back that lets you see the phone through it.
I definitely trust this case to protect my M9 from normal, everyday usage and drops. That being said I would not be willing to test throwing my phone across a room like I would with an OBD, since this case has no shock proofing on the back due to the transparent acrylic.
The built in screen protector works great as well. I already had a Zagg scratch proof protector on (not the tempered glass, or the thick HD one and left it on) and I haven't lost any responsiveness to my screen. The built in protector does add a slightly annoying glare though.
Definitely a good case, and like all cases has its share of cons, but for the price, I 100% recommend it. Even if you only find it for the 20$ its usually advertised for.
Edit: I also forgot to mention that the cover for the charging port is somewhat hard to open, and hard to keep open. It will probably wear over time and become easier, but as of right now it is a slight hassle.
Edit2: After using the case for a few weeks, the charging port is no longer an issue. I've gotten rid of my Zagg screen protector, and removed the built in protector from the case. Instead using the Spartan tempered glass screen protector.

Thank you for your review. It's nice to know that this case can withstand a drop from a few feet. I know that I get nervous with it falling-- I mean, these phones are not just expensive, but they are our "friends" that we take with us everywhere we go. That is pretty sad, huh?
If I could figure out how to get my phone out of this cinder block I'd have it out already. This is essentially an iPhone-shaped case for a not-iPhone. The curvature at the back of the phone is lost (though it does trap dirt between the clear platen and the back of the phone). The cover on the charging port, which is mostly pointless because there are lots of open ports on the case, makes it difficult to connect to my car holder. The plastic isn't a consistent colour between the front and the sides. It was a bastard to get the phone in, and now it's a bastard to get the phone out.
The screen cover is great, and there's every indication that the shock protection is good. The big square plastic buttons are easy to press.
Compared with either Otterbox (which is what I've had on my past HTC phones) this isn't as good.

The case is easiest to take off if you peel the rubber back from the corner right above the buttons.
Based on the fact that its 1/5 the price of the otterbox, for roughly 3/4 of the protection level it offers, I would still recommend this case as a cheaper alternative.

chaosrde is right on the money. Using the spudger or guitar pick makes the job that much easier. I received a Glacier Touch case from Roocase for review purposes and ran into this. While the case is tough to take off, it does mean that phone is secure. It's a nice case that allows you to show off the nice metal casing of your phone. I dropped it a few times and neither the case nor phone showed any sign of damage, though due to it being clear and glossy the case does show scratches a lot easier. The case seems a bit bulky even with my large hands, but I think this is due to the box-iness of the case. It's more of a personal gripe than something wrong with the case. The built-in screen protector is nice, but does feel cheap (as most built-in screen protectors do) so if you pop it off and use a glass screen protector I don't blame you.
The only issue I had with it is what Damosel mentioned: Dust and dirt seem to get into the case a bit too easily and ends up collecting on the back side of the case. This is due to the case not being fitted to the back of the phone. This can lead to the metal back getting scratched which is something that bothers me. If there was an insert you could put inside the case that fit snugly behind the back I think it would be a nice improvement.
I agree with chaosrde that for the price point and the protection it offers, the Roocase Glacier Tough case is a nice alternative to the Otterbox Defender.
I have skimmed through the pages in the other tempered glass screen protector threads. I have yet to find a manufacturer who makes an edge to edge protector that adheres to the entire screen rather than just the top and bottom.
My issue is that with a water proof device, anytime it is exposed to water (every day for me as I place it on the shelf in the shower to listen to music), water becomes trapped underneath the tempered glass.
Anyone picked up a model that would remedy this?
no one currently makes one
Why did you feel the need to open a whole new thread for something that has been discussed at length in many other threads? no, there is no solution yet.
Doesn't the official Samsung one do this ?
The official Samsung one is plastic, not glass.
The official Samsung one is not tempered glass.
I strongly advice against getting curved tempered glass. Or any screen protector with curve protection.
I got my replacement Note 7 and I decided to just use a flat film protector and leave the sides exposed. So much easier to use this way.
which flat one did you get!

It feels like **** though. I had an IQ Liquid Shield on my old Note 7, and it felt nice in the hand. Barely a bump in feeling, some around the edges but not really noticeable. This current new Note 7 has factory screen protectors, both front and back. But they feel sharp and edgy, they don't cover the curves. I have actual sleeping nightmares about applying a brand new IQ Liquid Shield protector I already have, and it peeling horribly at corners. fEa.r me..?
Yeah. So I got my replacement n7 today. Picked up a Qmadix "first defense" screen protector. Guess what? It's edge to edge and the adhesive goes all the way around the screen. Just got out of the shower (phone got soaked), no water under the glass.
There is no reason to be rude.. Obviously, the other threads "discussed at length" on the subject failed to stumble upon this gem.
Thanks everyone. I'm only 5 hours in but I have no complaints. No halo, sits flush. Thicker than the Verizon branded one I had previously. Has kind of a unique cut out for the Samsung logo. I also purchased a camera, hearbeat sensor, and home button glass.. I'm set lol.
Edit: forgot to mention the Qmadix also comes in all three colors. I purchased black respectively.

i tried dozens of them looks just like that, most of them only have adhesive on the sides or the top+bottom. all returned.
i suspect this one will be the same, but its not available to purchase on Amazon yet. Guest i will try this too.
i will report see how it goes. but i have no hope at all.
case friendly and curved too on the design like that..?? dont know thats legit or not.
This will work 100%, even my case won't peel the screen cover.

you must get this specific version for the full cover. there's a lot of different variations. also let the film completely dry before you even attempt to wrap down the sides. you can use your palms, squeegee, and blow dryer. Remember the water spray is only for help with placement. When this film dries, its very stick and adhesive.
i just hate TPU material, its spongy, soft, leaves imprints and a weird texture. but it does full cover. tempered glass and PET film will never do that.

I have the same protector updated version on my note 7. Did the shrink wrap trick too when i applied it. Came out nice after 12hrs. Once I put my UAG case it started to lift edges. I had to use a credit card to slide case phone in without lifting edges. So I thought I was all good right. Nope a day later it started to lift on the top side and bottom side. I have to smooth it back to down continuously. So either you got lucky or you case does not life the edges.

maybe it was the way you put it on? as in one side you will comfortable be able to tuck it under but the other side kinda snapped on and slid/lifted the cover in order for the case to snap on?

Just installed this. I think i know why most companies only use glue on the top or bottom. The quality of the product is good. The packaging is great but i would rather get something a little more simple and maybe save on the cost.
I have yet to turn on my replacement N7 so i cant speak on clarity but the fit is decent. It even works with my Seidio Dilex case on even though its "full screen"
Here is my one problem so far (its only been an hour since install) there is a slight clicking sound when you press on some areas. The edges etc. This is the reason why i think most companies dont use glue on the sides. I think this is where the clicking sound is coming from. I think i installed it as best as i could but who knows. Maybe its my fault.
Im going to try to use it for a while to see how well it works and if i can stand the clicking sound. This is my 1st glass screen protector for the N7 and i dont think ill try more in the future. I just wanted to try one out.
I know what your thinking...ANOTHER THREAD DISCUSSING THIS!!??!!
Let me just say I didn't do this on purpose. I stumbled onto this combination by accident. And I'm just gonna say that it's almost like the old Reeses cup commercials. You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!!
Ok, I got these screen protectors this morning from China. They were the standard glass screen protectors. I received a Clear and a Black. I immediately installed the Clear. It looked good. I had an appointment to get to so...I put the Otterbox Defender case back on my phone with the glass screen protector to at least protect the phone while I was out. It was a tight fit!!
This combination was horrible. I had to press extra hard and i was fairly annoyed. FFW a couple hours. I get home, the phone has been in my pocket and I notice the plastic shield on the Defender, along the adges looked a little dirty, I had to take the glass off too, so I take the case apart and the plastic shield was coming off of the frame that it attaches to. UGH!!! I started to take a few pictures of the problem to send to Otterbox. I had also removed the clear glass screen protector. I started thinking.....BINGO!!
I removed the clear protector on the Otterbox (someone else in the threads mentioned they did this...thanks for the idea). I installed the black edged Glass screen protector and reassembled everything. I must say....this is is the best I've seen. It's an expensive combination....and an unintended surprise.
The company for these Glass Screen protectors is as follows:
Dongguan Strawberry Electronic CO, Ltd
Sara (she is really cool to deal with) WeChat contact ID ps216816
These guys can also be found via Alibaba.com
I don't have a cost...I paid for shipping and they provided me the samples. I didn't receive these protectors in a product box. Just 2 protectors in identical sleeves (pictured below)
Here's the installed Black Glass and Modified Otterbox defender case:
I'm not sure how long this will last...the Glass had glue all the way around the edges. The home button has glue all the way around it. The headset speaker has glue all the way around it. The cutouts for the cameras have no glue.
I'm not promoting anyone or anything. I'm only saying this is working for me at this exact moment in time.
I always remove the plastic screen protectors from OtterBox defenders... They do nothing but gather dust/dirt and create rub marks around the plastic edges over time.

So the glass back on these phones is quite slippery and fragile. Normally I would turn to Dbrand or Slickwraps for an answer, but they don't have any skins available yet.
Probably because it is'nt a premium device and because the G6 Plus isnt coming to america.
So I decided I would make my own skin!
Had some carbon fiber vinyl laying around, measured up my device and voila! :victory:
Attached to this post, are two pdf files
If you want to make your own skin, you can either find a vinyl cutter and use that to cut out the line drawing in the pdf.
Or you can just print the mirrored one and paste it on the back of some vinyl and cut it using a razor blade, which is wat I did!
Just make sure you dont use any scaling when printing the pdf! Just print at 100% size.
The only thing different on the mirrored one is the placement of the microphone cutout, so just make sure you get that right. :victory:
You did it nicely, but it does not protect your phone in any way. I already know the case where the G6 fell to the ground and the backs cracked.

That's why I'm so glad my g6 order from b&h came with the frosted silicone case, and tempered glass screen protector... for $0. Now that's awesome service!
The silicone case I have does help keep the rear cameras back a bit, so the phone can safely sit on the backside without scratching the glass on most surfaces.
Dude. You rule. Was so bummed to find that Dbrand still doesn't offer anything for the G6.
Edit: Totally didn't realize this is for the Plus... Damn, I'm sunk again. Still, you're rad.

I used a precision arts and craft knife for the first one.
But I also made some new ones in different colors and for two of my friends, for which I used a computerised vinyl cutter that's available to use in a local makerspace/Fab Lab in a town nearby.
But someone I know just used a razor blade. Looks fine if you just take your time!
those are indeed sharp. there is also this https://www.armorsuit.com/collectio...n-protector-black-carbon-fiber-skin-protector I have their screen protector on my S7, and it bascally bulletproofs the screen. that said, it can give a slightly rubberized texture to things. not like bouncey-ball rubbery, but enough to know it's not glass.
