home+back+power don'twork.
adb command don'twork.
fastboot devices work!!
another fastboot command don'twork (failed)
ideas?
Have you tried any other fastboot devices, boot, flash recovery etc?
except fastboot devices command, another fastboot command failed.
fastboot flash boot boot.img waiting...waiting...waiting....
I got kinda the same problem before. As you have S-ON, you can't flash anything trough fastboot. Try apply the update again while in RUU mode.

how?
thanks
Install HTC Sync on your computer.
Boot the phone into whatever you can get it into, Fastboot/Hboot.
Plug the phone into the pc and run the official RUU update.
cross your fingers and pray.
Same problem...
Same problem here (htc magic). Tryed to download from htc and it keep saying that
"Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.". My cid is VODAP006 and i found that is from Greece (although im in Portugal, strange...).
How can i unbrick my phone? With the gold card? The problem is that i cannot run adb (phone not found), only fastboot.
Can i create the goldcard in another Htc Magic and use it in my phone?

you can share how you solved your problem, for others who have similar problem.
What kind of Magic do you have? Is it 32A or 32B? The update you' ve downloaded is for 32A Magic. If your phone is 32B you are probably in trouble. But fear not. Even in this case, there is a solution. Take a look at this post. Follow the instructions. I've done it for a friend who was in the same situation and I can assure you it works.
How did you solved it? Can you please share to others having the same problem. Thanks.
Hi everyone. I'm quite nervous about flashing a radio as i know it can brick the device with a small mistake. I've read up on it quite abit, but i was wondering if people could answer a few small questions so that i wont make any mistakes!
1. Does a radio need to be flashed before/after a new ROM is installed? OR is it okay to flash at any time?
2. I don't quite understand the difference between Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 and a PBLAHBLAH.Img File?? Which one should i use/put on SD Card..?
3. Do i need Radio S-Off... i have normal S-off + root ... and im running android revolution 3.6.0 =] ( if i do, how do i get radio S-off? )
4. Chances of bricking my phone even if everything is done correctly?
5. Thank you v.much for your time + help

Hi,
1.Doesn't matter
2.Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 is flashed from PC/laptop and is found on the [OP](follow the read me).
PG58IMG.zip is flashed from sd card
3.If you have S-OFF ,you have RADIO S-OFF
4.There is always a chance. However, this is kept to a minimum,if you follow the instructions carefully and to the letter.
5.You're welcome.
Thanks v.much guys. I'll give it a go tomorrow and let you know the results!
Managed to flash radio successfully. Thanks v.much for the help!!
I was curious about this as well because I flashed ARHD 3.6 but never did the radio. My phone has been fine...
So is there a radio that gets flashed in the Rom?

Upon flashing the new version I almost missed it, but yes there is an updated radio to flash. I highly recommend it, I saw a significant increase in data transfer, coincidence or not, always good to keep the ROM with the correct radio installed.

Hi,
No radio gets flashed when you install a new ROM.
That is why they are posted separately.
I strongly recommend flashing 10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 radio
--- Using a "non matched" radio could have a negative effect on performance, battery life & signal strength ---
Check the [OP] of the ARHD 3.6.0 ROM
Interesting. And I thought I was learning...So I'm using the same radio that I had before Mike's ARHD?

Confirmation
I was just reading through this thread. can someone please confirm my steps to flash radio. thanks.
I rooted and unlocked the bootloader. ARHD installed a couple of days ago.
so what i did so far was download the file
"Radio_10.58.9035.00U_10.15.9035.02_2 from the ARHD"
I unzipped it
then i read the "READ ME" file
I also md5checksum the file as well.
so do i follow the instructions in the file?
1. Connect your phone into a PC, and make sure that USB Debugging is enabled
2. Click "Start here". A black command prompt window will open
3. Type: "adb reboot bootloader"
4. Once your phone is in bootloader (white screen with text), type "fastboot flash radio radio.img"
5. When the flashing completes, type "fastboot reboot"
EXACTLY as it is stated above word for word?
reason im asking is because i have been reading about flashing radio through
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1178143
and it says something about a ZIP file? please verify. thank you so much.
so which is the correct method because mikes sounds so much easier. i cant find any zip files either. thanks
That is the correct steps if using the radio from Mike's ARHD site. The other link to the radio page refers to using the PG58IMG.zip file on the root of your SD card and then booting into bootloader. The bootloader will read this file automatically and prompt you to apply update using the volume rocker. This is the method I have always used without issue. Just remember to remove the PG58IMG.zip file from the root of the SD card before trying to enter bootloader again after flashing or you will never get past that part.
If you want to use the fastboot method then use the radio from Mike's ARHD page, and if you want to use the PG58IMG method you will need to download the radio you want to flash from the radio page. Good luck and happy flashing

hi
i have installed s-off and mikes 3.6 rom and all is working fine, i have tried to update the radio using the instructions.
i am using win 7 and using cmd prompt as administrator
when i type 'adb reboot bootloader' the phone reboots to bootloader screen but when i type the command to flash the radio it just sits there saying 'waiting for device' i have to ctrl c it to stop. The radio firmware stays the same on the phone and it reboots fine. I have enabled usb debugging.
Is this a win 7 issue or something else ?
cheers

Hi,
I think you select charge for radio installation.
thanks i will give it a try. i think i have allready tried charge only and mount as a disk drive. i just tried htc sync and it didnt work. maybe a driver problem, i am downloading latest version and will see if it works. I did read another post somewhere that said the windows drivers had to be correct to use adb
cheers
solved
i downloaded and installed the new htc sync, It works fine now. disconnected it and set to charge only. when i ran the radio program the installing drivers message came up, i think it was installing the adb driver. There were more messages from the cmd prompt which meant at least it was talking, downloaded new radio and it completed successfully. phone rebooted no problem. Unless its my imagination it seems faster on internet now
cheers
Hey all,
I used the 3.24.401.1 RUU and then flashed arhd 6.2.1. Running great, and love ICS...but I would like to get fastboot commands back so I can SuperCID and do other things, such as flash to Mike's custom firmware/other future firmwares more easily.
How do I get back fastboot on the RUU firmware? I had thought I could just use the old 1.17 unlocked bootloader but luckily I checked and found out that it's incompatible and would make my device unbootable with the current firmware, so that isn't an option.
Hmm....
P.S. CID Getter says my CID is: HTC_621
Edit: should I just use the link called "HTC2" at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21711154#post21711154 and download the unlocked one?

Hi,
Have you got your ROM up and running?
Can you use the volume rocker in the ROM to adjust the sound?
hey, still 20 mins left on my ARHD download... hope it works ok. volume rocker works fine if i do adb reboot bootloader, i am able to move up and down. it seems like the firmware flash went fine, still can do everything in recovery. im ready to flash arhd soon as its done downloading, then we'll see if it boots and if i can once again enter bootloader using vol- so weird...
btw the bootloop is very fast. it goes to the first HTC screen, then just for a few seconds to the 2nd screen with the "quietly brilliant", then it just resets itself. (that was what it did before i super wiped, anyway. oh and i also restored from a backup once as well, to no avail.)

-= NOTE =-
Your probably get into a bootloop after flashing teh 3.24 firmware.
Two way to get into your recovery.
1. Open the cmd and type adb reboot recovery
2.remove your sd and delete the firmware image and reboot into the bootloader and select recovery
this seems relevant..
So... I got excited about flashing my HTC sensation. I had done it before with ZTE blade and it wasn't that hard.
Long story short... I flashed the ROM, all went succesfully, but now I'm stuck in a bootloop. I can restart to clockwork recovery though. So I'm hoping it's still possible to get back to stock ROM. In that I need your help. I need to get information about which stock ROM to download, and how to flash it. I can't get to home screen to use USB sharing. Neither does Clockwork recovery usb sharing work.
Im stuck with putting the memory card to my other phone, putting the needed files on the memory card and then switching the memory card back to my HTC.
I've searched for hours and hours in google for help, but haven't found anything to match my situation. I have no idea what to do.
I've tried formatting system, wiping system and cache and then running CM10, bootloop. Formatted system, cache etc and flashed CM9, bootloop.
I have no idea what to do.
PLEASE HELP!

If you were able to find your HBOOT version you should also be able to see whether you're s-off or s-on, copy down all the information that appears when you boot into bootloader and post it here.
You need 3.33 firmware from here. Read well before flashing.
Learnings for the future, always nandroid backup before wiping!

Ok so in order to flash a ROM you either need to be s-off or get 4EXT recovery and enable smart-flash.
Again, you need the correct firmware so please make sure you get what you need from the link in my first reply.
As you are S-ON and HTCDEV Unlocked, you need to flash the 4EXT Recovery, enable smartflash in the settings and flash the rom. Then you will be fine! Follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861

You are far from bricked. You need to get into recovery and mount usb storage. You can probably do it in clockworkmod but I've never used it so I don't know, if you're having trouble get 4ext recovery (since you do have a way of getting stuff onto your sd as you said in your first post), and you can toggle usb storage from there.

I understood from the 4ext recovery that you need to get usb connection working, without it, there's pretty much nothing to do. I can only get things to my sd card with my other phone, but since i'm s-on, i can't flash it from cwm. At least that's what I've understood. I'm starting to get annoyed. I really don't have money for another phone, and I know that I was really stupid to even try flashing.
If there is a way still, I'm gonna try it, but I can't establish usb connection. When I connect my phone to usb in CWM, it says drivers couldn't be installed.

You can still flash 4ext via fastboot. Go to this thread and some way down the OP look for the line "there's a direct download for a version you can flash via fastboot".
Are you familiar with adb? You need to download the recovery.img using the link above and flash it via adb. Read this.
If you are in fastboot and connect your cable, does it read "fastboot USB"? You can flash 4ext from fastboot!
Did you follow the steps from the guide I linked before? You are already unlocked, install the 4ext recovery, enable "smartflash" in settings and flash the Rom you have chosen.

Ok so when you first boot into bootloader you should have:
HBOOT
<VOL UP> to previous item etc. etc.
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
FACTORY RESET
SIMLOCK
IMAGE CRC
Then by selecting FASTBOOT you should be able to connect your usb cable and it will change to FASTBOOT USB. If not you need to be sure you have the correct drivers properly installed on your PC.

I'm getting real tired, have to go to sleep, but on a quick glance it seemed that with fastboot and adb, you need to have somekind of connection with the pc, right? You can't push commands to your phone without a connection? And I can't get to usb-debugging. I can only use CWM, and it doesn't help.
I'm starting to loose hope, but I'll try to check those threads tomorrow, maybe tomorrow I can save my phone, maybe not.
But thanks alot guys, a really REALLY friendly community. I know it ain't fun trying to help people with their problems, but I appreciate what you're trying to do

Yep, you need to be connected to your PC via USB, with drivers installed (I used this) and FASTBOOT selected in bootloader, at which point it SHOULD say FASTBOOT USB.
At this point you can use fastboot commands to flash the recovery.img I previously linked you to, then you will have 4ext recovery and you will be able to set up smart flash to allow you to flash whilst s-on. Only once you get to that stage can you start thinking about flashing firmware and custom ROMS.
And don't lose hope, plenty of phones have been resurrected from far worse conditions. Just requires some patience and careful reading. Don't do anything until you make sure you understand what it is you're about to do.

You can still flash 4ext via fastboot. Go to this thread and some way down the OP look for the line "there's a direct download for a version you can flash via fastboot".
Are you familiar with adb? You need to download the recovery.img using the link above and flash it via adb. Read this.

From fastboot, along your usb cable connected and htc drivers/adb are installed, you use the fastboot command: "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" that's how you can push the recovery on your device. (actually you should have just clicked on the link you quoted and would have found the answer.)

Helped me! Excellent help from you guys, to the other guy asking for help. Just follow the instructions given. Again, many thanks to the people that helped. You make the world a better place
Hello guys, i hope someone can help me. This is my situation:
At the begining i had a stock rom 4.1.1 from AT&T. I succesfully did S-OFF and installed Super CID 1111111. Everything went great but my goal was to install the Germany T-Mobile 4.2.2, so, the next step i did was to follow a tutorial wich guided me to install team win recovery. I copied the rom i mentioned to the sd card and when i tried to flash it failed. So, i did a wipe (Im so stupid ) and now i had no OS. after that, i tried to install ClockWorkMod to follow another tutorial and fix that. I did it using adb but when i tried to reboot in recovery it got stuck in a black screen and i need to push the three buttons for a long time to power it off. Since that, i turn it on, put it in fastboot mode but the console don't even recognize it when i try to use adb (It find no adb devices). So, i did a mess with my phone and i cant find a solution.
Can anyone help me please? Thank you so much guys.
PD: If you need any other details i can let you know anything.
I'm gonna need your bootloader details please. Also, what error did you receive in recovery when trying to flash the T-Mobile ROM?
The reason adb commands aren't working is because you need to use fastboot commands when connected in fastboot mode. I'd suggest flashing TWRP recovery back into the phone, mount the storage, copy a ROM across and flash it.

ok, this is all i can see
***TAMPERED***
***UNLOCKED***
EVITA PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
CID-11111111
HBOOT-2.14.000
RADIO-0.24p.32.09.06
openDSP-v34.1.0.45.1219
eMMC-boot
Nov 26 2012, 18:37:14:1706
Is that usefull?
I really dont rememeber exactly, but all i can remember was a Failure red legend in the TWRP. and as i said, i cant get the console to recognize the phone by adb :/
EDIT: i succesfully installed again Team Win Recovery. I moved the EVITA_UL_JB_50_S_TMO_DE_5.08.111.2_By_Turge ROM to the sdcard and try to flash but i it fails in the "Updating partition details...", i cant get any further. No OS.
Yeah that's exactly what I needed to see. Like I said, adb isn't going to work, you need to use fastboot commands. So use fastboot to flash TWRP recovery back onto the phone and try flashing a ROM. If that doesn't work I'd suggest running an RUU.

Hello timmaaa, i really appreciate your help. I did check the md5 checksum and the rom seems to be ok. As i mentioned before, the problems shows up when the flashing process steps to the partition detail "something" process. If you are ok with that, i can let you get into my computer by Teamviewer or some other remote control software so that way you can see anything you need by yourself. I don't know the Team Win Recovery version installed and i'm in my work right know and i didn't bring the htc with me, i'll let you know the version as soon as i get home.
I don't have a PC at the moment so Teamviewer isn't a possibility, just post the TWRP version when you can.

Ok, no problem. The version of TWRP is v2.5.0.0
That's your problem, 2.5 is full of bugs. Download TWRP 2.6 from here. Put the file in your fastboot folder. Connect phone in fastboot mode, open command prompt from within fastboot folder, issue the following commands:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery "filename.img"
(the exact filename, minus the talking marks)
Code:
fastboot erase cache
Code:
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Now you can enter recovery on your phone and try again.
