Here's the scenario, before i used to use the blank kitchen available here in XDA for Titan, Touch, Diamond and Touch Pro, extract and compile it again with out any problems. How i do it is just by changing the txt file inside the tools folder and can make it work for different phones such as mentioned above. Now i tried using this to the snap i get an error after running the BuiltOS.exe i get an error of "External component has thrown an exception" am i doing something wrong or i am missing some tools? So i tried to continue using builtIt.bat the the actual RUU file was reduced. If you flash it to the actual phone, the phone is stuck at the start up.

I have been busy reading this forum and i has been a great help, I have been given 3 phones 2 o2 XDA IQ & a Vodafone V1240 2 of them need repairing new keyboard and casings on them which i found on ebay.
Back to the question is there anyway of changing the boot screens on the xda ia as when it boots it has the welcome to 02 and then a bubble screen could these be changed?? i am running the orignal wm5 but i did flashed it with wm6 rom the beta version but nothing has changed??

here you go...
plug your phone in. run this program. then go to tools/immediate flash tools...and you should have a function called splash screen or something like that. point to the desired file. update... restart your phone and it should work. with this prog, you can also extract splash screen from a nbf file.

I am completely confused, Downloaded the file to pc unzipped and ran program and get "No file loaded, immediate flash not available (Client DLL not found)" and that's how far i get the phone does prompt me. i have had a look on my phone and found the file "TyphoonNBFtool.dll"??

You need to extract the archive to a folder first, then click Test Immediate Flash, then TyphoonNBFtool.dll will prompt you to allow access
Sorry if i am asking something that is already answered for numerous times, but believe me i have tried to gather the information on my own but none of those worked.
I would like to extract files from Windows Mobile 6.1 Rom to see what are exported dll apis, not only those documented, I am basically waiting for blackstone and having blueangel right here but i actually dont really care which rom image to use, just to get the binaries out.
I am not familiar with terminology you use for describing this (and idea: put together some dictionary ) but for sure none of the described around keywords NbfUtils (activestate ppm just doesnt work), rdmsflsh.pl (After nbfutils installed "by hand" it doesnt find NbfUtils.lib)... After all the misery with bunch of not working tools and switches with curious names (and both probably perfectly understandable by someone playing with roms for years - not my case) I have done some code to dump dlls from rom images by searching for PE and looking for export directory but they are not really highly descriptive without file names.
Can someone PLEASE point me to some relevant data, how to get files and directory structures either from rom images here or .bin images for visual studio emulator?

http://www.xs4all.nl/~itsme/projects/perl/ppm repository does not work (activestate perl) and if i try to do it "by hand" (perl makefile.pl, nmake, nmake install), it is ok for nbfutils, but for compress utils nmake fails with LINK : fatal error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'nkcompr.lib'.
And this is fatal error not warning as someone mentioned somewhere else on the forum...

The first reason for this was dynamically loading cecompr_nt.dll wich have dependancy to missing c runtime for vc2003 (as i only have vc2008), i have added it but it fails with the same

So I just recently got the Samsung Jack and it's a pretty good phone. The only thing i don't like about it is that compared to the Messaging program I had on my Blackjack this one sucks. I'm trying to get the tmail.exe off my blackjack and put it onto the Jack. I have the BJC Custom Rom Rev4.3 from mobile.txcaesar.net on the blackjack. I used grab_it to make dump.bin and now that's on my computer, I have the original .bin that i used to put it on my phone too but more on that later. I googled "extract files from rom image" and the first link is to a thread on this site that says to use dumprom.exe. So i got that and when I run it on the dump.bin it just locks up and i have to close the cmd window. I tried running it on the .bin from BJC but it gives me and error about not being able to determine the load offset. Any tips?

It seems to me that file inside archive should be renamed to battdrvr.dll and placed into Windows folder replacing original one. But I don’t want to experiment with my device.

It says on the site that there are 2 one for CDMA and one for GSM phones so I downloaded the GSM one since my provider is rogers = GSM/3G which came with a dll but is that all I need for the 1% increment and the FastCharge mode? Do I need to install the nuePowerCPL? And I tried installing the cab but nothing appeared so I downloaded the OEM package and dragged it into program files but that didn’t do anything either so I’m very confused.

You have to put .dll in windows directory (and to be sure in app's directory) and install CPL (cab version, OEM is for ROM cooks).
theres also a batt dll in that folder i forgot the name but its not the same as the nuebattery one do i replace that one with the nuebattery dll or just copy it in?

When I use the recmod tool, I do get a .dll file out of it, but the file is always 1kb and if I open a bunch of them in hex edit, they are nearly identical and each mentions that "this file cannot be run in DOS mode". Other than that, the rest of the file is almost entirely zeroes, so the code is null. Also the reversmode crashes when I try to use it on the .dll files I created, most likely because the files are busted.
In this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1251237 OndraSter mentions something about recmod/reversmode using type 5 and 7 instead of just type 3. I don't really know what to make of this and Google leads me only to things that don't pertain to recmod at all.

This may help someone help me a little. When I use recmod through the command line, I get an error saying "Error! ProcessCase0: bit 5 is zero!"
and this is the .dll file that I get out of it:

I renamed the file name to a so it would be shorter to type because I was trying a lot of different command prompt things. It was originally k.senscmdd.dll, not that it really matters. All of the modules I tried came out almost exactly like this.
