I launch this thread for porting Windows phone 7 UI on HD2 with a wimo 6.5 or 6.5.3 rom
This skin must be a pluging as htc sense for replace it (so don't use a WAD or other if it's possible )
This porting is totaly free and all people who want to work on it can share you work here
Thereafter, when the work is well advanced, may be you can make a donation if you love the work done for motivated designers and developers but this work remains TOTALY FREE and all peoples may have all version of it!
At this moment, all donations are refused while a first release is not published
Peoples who want to work on it, you can send a mp if you need a private forum or other for dev/design quietly
I think that dev can reuse a sense elements, if they succeed to extract them
I've a lot of ideas for start it, I will update gradually ideas in this post
For designers:
- What elements can you redesign with WP7 skin? home buttons?
- What elements saw in WP7 movies you can create?
For developers:
- What elements can you extract to htc sense or other pluging of WiMo for reused with redesign or not?
- How to create a skin which integrates in WiMo 6.5 or 6.5.3 in the theme manager?

- What graphics (button or other) you need to create control buton in plugin?
- Develop a new Shell app?

I've been thinking abit about this, but I really don't see how a good WP7-"theme" can be made. I think a new shell-app needs to be developed more or less from the bottom up to make this work...
What's cool about wp7 is all the nice application, the panoramic backgrounds, and elements shifting independently from each other. You will also need to be able to scroll up and down on every screen.
I've been playing around with some OpenGL-development, but I'm really putting most of my time into the project noted in my signature so I don't really have the time.. I would look at different OpenGL wrappers, both unmanaged and managed to see if the different design-elements can be easily recreated, and then just go ahead and build it from the bottom....
so we must developed a new shell app with open GL?
is it possible to integrate a thème as htc sense in windows manager thème by developing a shell?
in first time, I think that the first thing to create is a design so if scroll effect and other isn't present in this plugin, we shall see when we already done this and when we are a plugin that is work with news buttons of WP7
Any one (a designer) can create all home button of WP7 and see for background? PollPixx? DeKey?

I mean, we can use programs like WisBar Advance, but it'll never be like WP7: the animations are not supported for what I remember...

Good beginning, but I think that dev will need all buttons separatly
I will see with a developer if all buttons separatly is possible because in few time, may be we can move buttons same we want

Your link it's a WisBar Advance Device, I have try it, but it's not a very good integration in WiMo but a very good graphics
Link of De Wolfe is a very good work, I dont try it yet but I will try it this evening
I will see if the developer want to reuse the work of designers who will make and post here
This design make in this project will permit to work more on app and upgrade more speedly

I will try it on my hd2 and with a control button on visual studio this evening for see if it's a good format
"Just" make a Sense skin with "some" extra functionality. Hide all the tabs, make them hubs and switch between them from the home-hub/tab/whatever.

It's very stable and I tried it on manila versions from 2012 to 2018.
I made this theme 6 months ago and since then I am developing it. So I think you will enjoy it.
Theme contains more than 1000 graphical files. I took some graphics from android taskbar (Dark Ninja's) and slider is based on blackslide.cab (found on xda, sorry, but I don't remember the author), all other graphics were made by myself.
Warning - don't post this theme or parts of it on other sites.
Installation: Turn off manila and install cab for your CHT version (if you use it) and than install main cab

thanx fear, thats really nice of you. i'll have a think. i would LOVE a naruto theme so much! just a question of how best to implement the idea. on page 718+ of the leo today screen post people are discussing changing the mail background on the email tab ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=582619&page=720 ).would you be able to make a naruto style scroll to put in that place please? i've attached 2 images as reference. that alone would make a huge difference towards making the phone look naruto themed.

People, am sorry, but no themes. to make a theme, you need to change 1000 graphical files - I made only 1 theme and it was horrible.
Any manila changes - you are welcome, but full theme - too much work.

hey fear. no stress, i completely understand. im just working on a general naruto look. as i said, that one mail background manila file would make a HUGE difference in itself. if you have the time i would be very greatful. im making a slider myself using hdwall, and thanx to cht i can skin the taskbars myself too, and thats pretty much all i need

to edit you need to use special program. You can modify this .png and post it hear and I will make it suitable for manila.

I posted my shortcuts screen and the CAB I'm using for the frames.
My problem is: when I use bright wallpapers the shurtcuts have a black background. I'd like to have this black square removed.
It would be great if you could make this possible.

Introduction
Ok, so some of you may have seen my first clocks I've every made - know as the geek clocks. I would like to explain myself then continue this beautiful idea I have.
As many of you know, as soon as you take out your HD2 people awe over it's size but always end up asking - is that an iPhone? Then a conversation opens, and they say - so why wouldn't you just get an iPhone? Valid question for people who don't actually know how to use a cellphone. But we then show them how much better our cell really is. But truthfully, no one cares about specs - they care about looks. It's like at a bar: you don't go over to the nicest girl, you go over to the hottest girl.
So therefore, I would like to introduce to you the new Ultimate Geek Redesign! The idea is to have a funny, geeky, spiffy way to show off our cellphones just from our homescreen. I call this a redesign and not a theme is because I plan on making it a continual work in progress, as well as having multiple clocks/locks/softkeys/etc. so you can pick whatever you want without me picking your theme for you.
I am currently a beginner at all this jazz and the only thing I know how to use is photoshop. My cabs probably aren't made perfectly (although they work - I proved that on my cell) and I don't understand the coding at all... although I am currently trying to learn. Although, now that I think about it, that means my stuff's probably better for you - you know, "beginner's luck"
I will be constantly adding widgets to here (I've been working for 2 days and see how far I've gone already) so check back often.
If you have any ideas to build on what I have or new designing projects, or can help me with the programming bit, please pm me or reply to me here!

Just as a quick guess, it's because you don't have the CHT lockscreen set or it's not set to windows style... in any case after you install you have to restart sense - but I actually currently have it installed on mine so it is possible - I would put up a screen shot but I feel like that might be a waste of room
In any case check your settings then get back to me

To tell you the truth - I have no idea... but if you want I can give you the png files and you can somehow stick them in yourself lol or you can just try it and see what happens... I don't totally understand the coding stuff just the photoshop

Many of you allready know about this widget, it has been created on-line in this guide of HOW-TO-MAKE-A-CHT-WIDGET. Now has earned its own thread
The widget is resizable, pinnable, uninstalable, and includes a setting menu for the font size, text color, text angle, widget width and heigth, and selectable texture note. You can now put your note on every place of your home page & CHT lockscreen.
Installation
Uninstall previous versions of CHTwNotes1.cab, if you allready has installed from previously referenced thread
Install JMLMenuSense.v1.60.cab (or superior). If you installed JMLMenuSense previously for CHTwNotes1 or any other CHTwidget no need to install it again
Install CHTwNotes1.3cab below attached
Click on it and enjoy! You will find some textures to change in \Program Files\CHTwNotes1. You can add yours!!!
CHTScheduler
CHTS saves the default texture CHT_Notes1.png located in \windows folder, and any other texture paths, but not textures out of \windows. So you can use CHTS to switch differents textures only if the texture still exist in your device.

Thanks to such nice items, I keep coming back then and now from "the dark side"... and somehow, I think my HD2 will come back to its original OS soon. Nothing beats it so far, I still use some WinMo software which simply does not exist on any other platform...

ok, you dreamteam guys really either have to slow the f down, or get us more than just 5 thanks a day. I now have to keep a notebook next to my computer writing down who gets the next day's thanks, and then the next day i use up those thanks on people who deserved thanks the day before and on and on and on, of course now I can keep that list on my open page........but I HATE leaving people who deserve thanks off until later with my crappy memory.

Not my HD2
It has been working in previous test no worries .... here the fix Just copy the file 56752DB4_manila and the file CHTWidget_CHTWNotes1.xml (inside the rar) in windows folder, accept overwrite and restart sense.
I will update the cab on first post anyway

Thanks for the feedback ric69 it was the same problem indeed. I have included the fixed .xml file into the .rar fix of post #16 and will update the cab.

Off late most of WinMo users are shifting to android , but their are still few (me inclusive) who still want to continue with WinMo as base.
Last heard, there were some 20 odd developers were working towards bringing back GTX (refer this thread), one of the best thing to happen for WinMo useres, but as of now it seems all is lost again.
I have created this dedicated thread so that those developers can at-least keep us updated/posted towards GTX and other WinMo developments which at present is almost going towards extinction.
All i am asking XDA Family is to help me keep WinMo alive..!!

Hi adiyant, i think we have to use what we have. XDA is based on the free sharing, whatever comes is welcome but i dont see any utility to claim for something that is not happening ... so lets use the port of GTX theme for CHT2.0 done by s-droid (link referred by MrBeO) I am available there to help people to use GTX in CHT2.0. Also I offer CHTtweaks to GTX theme so if you provide graphics in png format i can help to use in CHT 2.0. The most importants files used by CHT2.0 (related to GTX) are the 7c60907d_manila -- home.mode9 & 3a8e04af_manila -- manila.mode9 and both are included in s-droid adaptation.

hey poyensa, thanks for your reply, but what i wrote is based on something which was discussed in other threads, so thought this thread will help some with some updates.
RE: the options you have given, i have already using them for a while with mixing other available stuff on XDA. And without CHTTWEAKS & CHT things for WinMo will only get worse..!!
What i was looking at is a total revamp or something entirely new which can just make WinMo exciting again.
And can' believe i'm saying that, but else i 'll also move to android which at present seems THE FUTURE for these kinda devices.

Me too, since he specifically alluded to the now defunct equilibriosense project. Oh well, come over to the darkside (Android) fellas, and make my device beautiful again .
I've put some GTX stuff together in CHTtweaks .....

The website is aimed at the Developers presenting their custom ROM or Theme in a way that is both functional and "welldesigned".
The main design of it is quite basic. The goal is to not make it too hard for visitors to find what they are looking for. Top reasons for the visitors to visit the website is downloading the ROM they want (with possible addons) and reading what has changed in the changelog.
I've seen websites around that are quite hectic and it is not always easy for visitors to easily find what they want.
On the left of the website, the Developer can showcase their ROM or Theme. It is animated, so multiple screens can be showcase which will fade.
On the right it gives the options to download the ROM/Theme and additional information such as the Changelog and About.
When clicking on the Download button, the whole website will slide to the left which will reveal detailed info and links to the downloads the Developer wishes to provide.
Also added, is the ability to share the ROM/Theme via Social Media (Google+, Facebook, Twitter) to spread the word.
As an additional feature, the website has a specially designed version for mobile view. When the website is visited with a mobile device, it will automatically show the website in a mobile friendly way.

The website can be used as (in a way) a template, for everyone to use. You can customize the colors and images to make it fit your ROM or Theme.
Currently there are 5 versions.The HTC One S, the HTC Desire, the Galaxy Tab, the HTC Sensation and the Sidekick 4G.
Only requests by users that can show that they have their own ROM/Theme might be added.
My question is, is there any interest in this from the Developers? It's basicly a very clean and quick way of presenting your ROM or Theme.
At the moment, every ROM and Theme, that have their own website, use a Wordpress (or any other CMS) theme. These are not always as nice and clear to find what you are looking for as a visitor.
For example, if all Developers would use the same template to showcase their ROM/Theme, that would bring a lot more unity on the external websites that are linked from all the ROM/Theme threads on the XDA Forum.

EDIT: I like the design of the site, but I think there should be some more colors at the top. Black with barely visible line is rather meh.

The plan is to first see how many interest there is.
I think it would also be a good idea to make it available for recognized developer/forum users that actually have developed a ROM or Theme, and not just make it available to everyone.
I think many more people would be interested in this,but as you can see,many people who are developing ROMs,know almost or nothing about webdesign or even website making.
As for me,I would really apreciate if I could have it.
I am silently working on a ROM for the LG Optimus One(later for other phones),which is a very small,slim version of android,ONLY necesarry apps are included,also I'm gonna change some stuff in it to make it as fast and smooth as possible,plus more battery efficient.
I would love to use this as my rom's website theme.
The site itself looks awesome..However I'd prefer to stick with my Wordpress.org solution. I couldnt do without all the plugins on Wordpress and hard coding the databases (I have mandatory registration to download), comment system, multisite db sharing, etc would be so hectic...

It's HTML, with PHP includes to make it easy to edit the stuff you would want to edit (so there's no way to destroy the website by mistake).
If someone is able to make a Wordpress theme out of this, I would love to work together. As long as there are no ways money will be made out of my design without me knowing.

I am unsure about making it a Wordpress theme. Possibly not going to happen.
The website itself already is easy to edit in terms of updates and text. The editable texts are in seperate .php files, for easy access.
I would like to thave the theme,no matter if it isn't a wordpress theme.
I'm done with my rom,but I don't want to publish it without me having a decent looking website.
