It's very stable and I tried it on manila versions from 2012 to 2018.
I made this theme 6 months ago and since then I am developing it. So I think you will enjoy it.
Theme contains more than 1000 graphical files. I took some graphics from android taskbar (Dark Ninja's) and slider is based on blackslide.cab (found on xda, sorry, but I don't remember the author), all other graphics were made by myself.
Warning - don't post this theme or parts of it on other sites.
Installation: Turn off manila and install cab for your CHT version (if you use it) and than install main cab

thanx fear, thats really nice of you. i'll have a think. i would LOVE a naruto theme so much! just a question of how best to implement the idea. on page 718+ of the leo today screen post people are discussing changing the mail background on the email tab ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=582619&page=720 ).would you be able to make a naruto style scroll to put in that place please? i've attached 2 images as reference. that alone would make a huge difference towards making the phone look naruto themed.

People, am sorry, but no themes. to make a theme, you need to change 1000 graphical files - I made only 1 theme and it was horrible.
Any manila changes - you are welcome, but full theme - too much work.

hey fear. no stress, i completely understand. im just working on a general naruto look. as i said, that one mail background manila file would make a HUGE difference in itself. if you have the time i would be very greatful. im making a slider myself using hdwall, and thanx to cht i can skin the taskbars myself too, and thats pretty much all i need

but how does it work? i cant open the manila file with any of my image editors. i thought they are meant to be png format?
if its very complicated and you dont have time to explain please just post a cab for the background i sent, my painting isnt perfect, but i'd be VERY happy with it.

to edit you need to use special program. You can modify this .png and post it hear and I will make it suitable for manila.

I posted my shortcuts screen and the CAB I'm using for the frames.
My problem is: when I use bright wallpapers the shurtcuts have a black background. I'd like to have this black square removed.
It would be great if you could make this possible.

aha ok, i see what you meant now. thankyou, thats very nice of you. if it doesnt bother you i might give it another try soon. things dont quite line up on this one because i used a tape measure on the screen and tried to calculate the pixel dimensions and ratios.lol. still, im very happy for now. thanx again

Ok, so I've been fairly busy today, not cooking, but sorting out some apps for WM6, like the good old album app from WM2003SE and not that crappy 'Pictures and Videos' rubbish that we got stuck with from WM5 onwards...
But I digress...

Theres still a few issues regard the text which needs to be coloured white as you can see. So if you are a colour scheme XML GURU then PLEASE ocntact me! also if you are any good with photoshop and you would also like to contribute, please contact me as I reckon those standard WM6 volume/alert icons could do with some sprucing up I'll also ahve a go at skinning the comm manager, tried once today and it wouldn't launch

I don't think it's a good idea to change the default themes, especially with black themes. there are many ppl who likes light color themes.
you can release the theme separately, so just the interested person to install it.

Please post some screenshots after you change the text colour. Black text + black backgroud is no good for me.

I dont think Phil is replacing the default themes. He is just developing this black theme as an extra add-on.
This theme will be an optional extra, unfortunately I can't post it yet for a number of reasons:
1. The colour of the text still needs to be fixed in a number of places
2. Some registry keys keep reseting which makes some text unreadable
Also I've tried installing this theme on andot's ROM but it locks up the device after install and then will no longer display splash screens, think this is something to do with the way his ROM handles the splash screens (oemsplash.dll), however if andot wants to port it to his ROM or help me fix these issues then he is more than welcome
@andot - I'll send you the cab tomorrow when your online in the morning to test, I don't have access to it atm...
I will release the windows media player skin tomorrow as a separate download

in some pics looks good in others doesn't
For the Earpiece volume and the Info , the white circle is very bad , and the text should be in white to be lisible.i'll waiting for the next release maybe a member of www.nectun.com or http://www.mlab.name can release a good skin.
@pryorob - this isn't a homescreen, its a colour scheme, meaning you can use whichever homescreen you like with it

actualy i designed that one, its a combination of a few diffrent home screens i found with some modifications...i could post if if you want but it needs facade, smartmonitor and fizz traveler and at the bottom, is smart toolkit, it gives a nice start menu, tasks manager, screen capture and copy paste functions. if youre intrested, ill post a link

I Agree with glennza! post that Homescreen, i have the plugins, well, minus the weather part but i can replace it with Skype and Prelude since i use them more.

funny, i think that wmp11 skin is the first ever wmp skin i had ever made. (in this case it was an edit to a bugged one). but it looks like one of my early edits, the one with bugs still lol.

also, is this just going to be a homescreen for us to download or are you making it into a new rom? im hoping its just a homescreen.
btw just 1 suggestion, make sure to have white words. i noticed on some pics it was black on black.
Got the inspiration from your first WMP11 theme mikeeey, unfortunately I couldn't find it anywhere so I took the QVGA Vista Portable edition pocket PC WMP skin and rejigged the background with an image similar to your early WMP11 theme and cab'd it up
I agree that pyrorob's custom homescreen would probably look awesome in black...

Seems to have been hundreds of different clocks on here in the last week or so for the excellent Cookies Home Tab v.1.7
Quite a few people doing the "designer" style (Tag, Rolex, Breitling etc) faces but nobody seems to have
done one inside the case so it still looks like a watch so I thought I'd have a go.........
(I'll post the first one as screenshots to give an idea how they look on the phone)

The screenshots lose a little quality when uploaded which is why the one above looks a bit fuzzy.
All of the pics below are of the actual graphics used and are how the clocks will look on your phone.
As you can see my clocks include hands to match included in the cab file, for full installation instructions, compatibility etc. see the bottom of this post.

The problem with trying to copy the designer style watches is that it's difficult to find a decent
enough quality image to use as they are usually photographed at an angle or with uneven lighting.
So I've done a generic divers style watch, it's not meant to look like a copy of any designer watch, but it's a nice high quality
image and I've made some chunky plain white hands to go with it so it's nice and clear to read too.
Those four variations are attached below, but if anyone has any requests for their own logo or wording on the dial
then just let me know what you'd like on it and I'll do my best to make one for you.

Requests + Modifcations
I will make Clocks/Watches to order. If you want me to try a particular watch, I'll need a good
"straight-on" image with even lighting and a decent size and resolution.
Because of the difficulties in finding suitable images, I can apply any logo, symbol or text to the following couple of watches.
Add Football Team emblems, Car Badges, Brand Names etc etc.
The silver one is also available as just the dial (see above) and with the plain white hands as above.
In fact you can mix and match any of the hands you see on here, I'll make them fit.
Any other ideas or concepts you may have for a clock, let me know, I'll give it a go!

Compatibility
All of my clocks are tested on my own phone before posting on here. My HD2 is running Stock 1.66 ROM/Manila 2.5.1921, but these
cabs will work on any device which currently has the analogue clocks from Cookies CHT 1.7 working, as they just replace the files from there.
To Use These Cabs
Download the .cab for the clock you want to your PC
Copy the .cab file to your device (Storage Card)
On your device click the cab file which will then take you through the installation process.
Soft reset (turn off/on) and you have your new clock!!
Easy as that!!
In the unlikely event of any problems with the clocks, they are all uninstallable,
but in the last week I've had over 800 downloads of all the cabs and not one problem.

Due to the totally underwhelming response to my previous digital clock releases, these semi-transparent mini-themes (or more precisely, the solo clocks to go with them (which will be a separate thread) will be my last...
When you take the trouble to create over twenty clock cabs and receive 0 (yes, zero!) replies or comments, it is pretty de-motivating I can tell you...
The attached cabs will create semi-transparent 'glass' mini-themes on your homepage. The transparency is around 50%.
I call them 'mini-themes' as they only change the clock digits (no background) and the background 'furniture' for location, weather, calendar etc. and the date/time background you see when you scroll down.
Anyway, check out the screenshots and make up your own minds what to call them.
You can install each clock as usual using the cab files attached in the next posts. Uninstalling is done, as usual, via Settings/Remove Programs. If anything in the previous two sentences doesn't make sense to you, you probably should not install these cabs...!
The 'mini-themes' work on Manila 2.5.1920 because that is what I have on my HD2. I think they should also work on 1921 (but I cannot guarantee it) and I haven't got a clue about other versions.
The original wallpapers are not mine. But they are available on this forum from the usual suspects. I cannot remember who posted which wallpaper, so credit goes to all of them...
Glass icons, slider etc. are from Dinik (with some minor 'tweaks' from me).
Enjoy... (or not, as you please...)

Thanks for the feedback.
To get this look of 'full transparency', you need something called HDWall (there are references to it all over the place, so it should be easy to find). Note: You will also need something called 'Cookie's HQWallpaperPatch'. There are different versions for different versions of Manilla. Once you've found HDWall, you should also find a link to the patches...

Actually, I made these clocks and 'mini-themes' originally for myself. I just posted them on this forum for others to use, if they like them.
I don't mind if people don't want to use my clocks. It just would have been nice to get a bit more feedback (even the not so positive kind...).
Maybe I'll try something new later once I've 'upgraded' my ROM (and maybe installed CHT...)

First of all thanks to Fightspit from the Android section of the forums for the original icons and smaberg for the use of his % CAB.
This is the second revision of this CAB as I wanted to make the battery icons larger and remove grey segments. They're only slightly larger after all my retouching/cropping/resizing lol but I can live with them now .

Even though the icons have been retouched, on anything but a black taskbar, artifacts may be noticed. As the original icons had some sort of shadow effect, which I couldn't clean without having an adverse affect on the shape of the segments.
Install 'SdkCerts.CAB' first (if you don't already have it installed) and then soft reset.
Then install the '% Circular Battery Mod.CAB' to device memory and then soft reset. CAB is uninstallable.
The CAB works on ROM 1.66, I don't know if it'll work on anything else.
I've also uploaded the original icon set, so if anyone wants to mod further, feel free .
Update: added V2 CAB (grey segments not removed in this CAB)
Another Update: Thanks to TheLynxy for the super smooth icons. Due to the excellent design and clarity of this set, these icons will look good regardless of the colour of your taskbar (no artifacts). V3 CAB added.
My personal favorite is still the first set and they took the longest to do
Update: added V4 CAB - all original icons done by me , colour taskbar friendly (no artifacts).
Another Update : BT&Headset.zip uploaded. In my quest to improve the quality of the stock icons, I've uploaded some improved BT+Headset icons. Just extract then copy them into the Windows directory with Resco Explorer or Total Commander.
Yet another update. V5 uploaded, 6.5.X friendly. (thanks to MykeChester for the screen )

Update: I've found the icons I need (in fact I've found two styles), to be fair I still don't know who originally created them as everyone I messaged said they didn't make them .
It's just a long job of resizing them all and then hopefully someone will give me a hand (hint, hint ) putting the new files into something like Touch X's Battery % CAB.
Just give me the files and the size they need to be resized to and I can see what I can do. Maybe we split up so it´s going to be faster.

Thanks for the offer but I have completed the resizing and am a quarter of the way through putting them into the DLL file.
There is one last hurdle though, the DLL needs to be signed before I can put it back into the CAB. The last time I did such stupid things was when I had a Diamond and it wasn't problem resigning DLL files as the cert was in date.
I last tried to create my own battery icons around January for the HD2 and wasn't able to resolve the signing problem so abandoned it but I do believe a new signer/cert is available now but am unfamiliar with the new process. So a crash course in what's needed would be good. Failing that I'll just upload the modded DLL and/or the ICO's and see if anyone can complete the CAB.
Sorry can´t help with certifying the dll but I would love to have the png/ico files anyway! Is there a chance to send them to me? I would appreciate that.
And of course I´m waiting for the wonderful battery icon. The stock one is crap.

Just a quick update, finished it all including CAB . However I've done it wrong lol, the icons needed to be cropped first not just resized and the icons themselves don't look good as the greyed out segments can still clearly be seen (dam transparency filter!!!!).
I personally wanted just a black & white battery icons, so I have just finished retouching every single icon to clean them up. I will just need to now actually resize them (have typically found a much faster way of doing this now ) and then finally re-CAB them. Which I will do when I get some free time during the week.

Hmmm, ya it does seem a little small. I do kinda the visible greyed out segments, but I think I'll wait and see how it looks without them.
EDIT: Hahaha horstborsch, one minute before me. Having two versions sounds like a good idea.
LOL, @horstborsch & @Bluey Thunder. The reason it looks small is because I messed it up by just resizing the original icons, these original icons didn't use the full area of the icon frame and hence once resized they got a little too small for my liking. I've addressed this by cropping the originals and then resizing to the required size, mental as it sounds it should produce a bigger icon .
Regarding doing a version with the grey segments included, that should be easy enough to do after I've completed the clean (bigger) ones I'm doing right now. Hopefully I'll be able to complete the clean version today after I've finished breakfast .
this will be a great battery indicator mod for stock icons... will keep an eye on this thread...

It's been a while since I've seen farscape (last time was in highschool) so my knowledge of it is small at best, but I did like it. Maybe I can give some a go if we get some concrete ideas going.

Hey mrhayami! Yeah I was 19 when the came out. Am 30 now, but have been watching Farscape via netflix. Anyway, I was thinking maybe using the Moya communicator thing as maybe a sms widgit or analog clock. Some kind of wait cursor or any ideas you may have. Nordpolcamper has already made a few things for me. I also have a Farscape font but dont know hot to cab it up so the whole phone is Farscape font. Anyway, any ideas you may would be great!

Hi everyone! I really hope someone can help. I have this Farscape font that I would like to use to change the font of the whole phone. I have seen threads on how to do it but I can honestly say I dont fully understand how to do it , nor do I have the programs to do so. I really hope someone knows how and doesnt mind cabbing it up for me.

I've created a clock out of the picture posted above in post #6.
With a couple of suggestions from darkwolfelite, I've made the hour/minute hands into Qualta Blades and it's now ready for release (cab file attached).
If you have any suggestions/criticisms, please feel free to do so - this is my first clock and first mod of any kind so all comments are welcome!

Ive got all the fonts within sense changed + 80% of the default Winmo menus.
The "Start" text is controlled by a .dll which is not something Ive ever tinkered with and can be notoriously difficult to get working.
Im working on getting the WM softkeys to appear in the farscape font.
The best part is......... the cab is uninstalling so no need for a hard reset.
Im gonna have a few more attempts at acheiving "total coverage"......
Ok, this is what Ive got so far. Softkeys arent happening and I dont know why. Still looking for the right reg entry I guess.
Quite a lot of the phone is covered, all sense menus, many wm menus, some apps.
The downside, the font is quite small and some things can be difficult to read.
Its possible to adjust font sizes using a registry editor.
Go to the root of the registry and search for "font".
Flick through all instances looking for entries relating to font size and adjust as required.
Cab attached. Will continue looking into this in the quest for "total coverage"....

Hey conantroutman thanks for everything you are doing! I appreciate it alot! As far as the font being to small, I have the sk tools so I think I can change the font size with it.
And as far as the "start" word I was wondering if cabs can be broken down in reverse to like see whats in it and maybe how it was done? I don't know if that's possible but if so I have a Lucidia handwriting cab from I think sarcy (Major_Sarcasm) that I know changes the "start" but can't remember if it did WM softkeys. Either way I really like the cab and am looking forward to the "Total Coverage" but am very happy with what you've done!
BTW: Your taskbar? For 6.5 or 6.5x?

No problem! Side note, SK Tools didn't change the font size in Sense, but its ok I will try the Reg edit thing you mentioned.

Right, so I've been working on this clock today and I think it's gone pretty well.
The clock face is Moya and the hour/minute hands are Peacekeeper Prowlers - the only thing is the hands are rather dark against Moya.

Nice clock Bunglechunk! I LIKE it! I agree with the hands being dark and also noticed the minute hand might not be connected. I will post a pic! Either way everything keeps getting better and better.
