you guys are doing an excellent job on this.. and it really does show your skills were you can take a complete update that isnt originally for the G1 and manipulate little things so that it will be compatible.. this really shows what xda can do and what other possibilities we can look forward too.. I hope HTC releases official cupcake update for HTC dream in other country (non Tmobile phone). My friend said that HTC will release a HTC dream branch for Asian. If we have this update, we can cook it easily.

What about paid apps in the market? is there a chance of an RC9 version to allow UK users access to paid apps?
My wishlist would be as follows:
The essentials (in the first post) should be addressed before anything else
File manager should be integrated by default IMO. Be it a widget for aHome installed by default or whatever.
RC9 Build (to allow access to paid apps)
Autorotate by default, maybe an app to turn it off?
The Fix for MSN (Droid Sans Tweak tools has an RC30 version) to allow non-US t-mobile sims access via 3G
maybe like other threads on xda-devs, have a "lite" version and a full version, the full having a few non-essential but "must have" apps in there? (Like Locale, i hardly use it but it's a must for some people)
Multitouch + The multitouch browser by default
The unrealistic things I would ask for would be:
An easy to use kitchen for other people to make their own ROMS without fear of breaking too much
The tabbed menu seen in a few android dev videos
Circular zoom
Multitouch maps + photos

Hey droidheads... I have moved on the the Iphone (JK I hate apple) but i did stop all work on sholes and moved on to Droid... and it's kicking my a$$.
I did what to post my last version on Sholes. This rom is based on the emu-s (credit) and Sholes beta test device... NOT THE DROID... it is very different in software...
I will not support this rom in any way.. but if you have a good question I will try to help... Just don't keep telling me the sound seems to be bad...
NO WiFi.. NO SOUND NO BT NO THIS THAT AND THE OTHER THING... cm1.4 or better recovery .. danger LPS.. and lots of free time
some google apps work.. not GTALK missing lib Market works and with paid apps (if you pay for them) and it has the nice lockscreen...

Thank u for replying. That is the thread i had looked at few months earlier but couldnt find anything for WVGA. However, i now noticed that the the creator of the thread had advised someone to look in to the xperia section......which i missed....which can b easily done.

i have managed to get the honeycomb effect, but, it changes the icons to 4 in a row instead of 3. but thats ok for now.
And for my friend PLEX12345, i have attached the cab.It was uploaded by another member of XDA but he doesnt mention from where exactly he/she got it from. Plex, i think u should also thank Tom for helping us newbies
ps: its my first uploading something so i hope i done it right.

Thanks again bro. Will look in to it. just re-flashing my fone back to udk's rom atm. i dunno what came over me last night(aroung midnight) and i decided to experiment with a few roms i had downloaded but never tried.......none of them beat UDk R7!!

[DEV] Porting Windows Phone 7 Serie UI on HD2 [DEV AND DESIGNER ONLY][NEED DEV]

I launch this thread for porting Windows phone 7 UI on HD2 with a wimo 6.5 or 6.5.3 rom
This skin must be a pluging as htc sense for replace it (so don't use a WAD or other if it's possible )
This porting is totaly free and all people who want to work on it can share you work here
Thereafter, when the work is well advanced, may be you can make a donation if you love the work done for motivated designers and developers but this work remains TOTALY FREE and all peoples may have all version of it!
At this moment, all donations are refused while a first release is not published
Peoples who want to work on it, you can send a mp if you need a private forum or other for dev/design quietly
I think that dev can reuse a sense elements, if they succeed to extract them
I've a lot of ideas for start it, I will update gradually ideas in this post
For designers:
- What elements can you redesign with WP7 skin? home buttons?
- What elements saw in WP7 movies you can create?
For developers:
- What elements can you extract to htc sense or other pluging of WiMo for reused with redesign or not?
- How to create a skin which integrates in WiMo 6.5 or 6.5.3 in the theme manager?
- How to hind the task bar of WiMo?
- What graphics (button or other) you need to create control buton in plugin?
- Develop a new Shell app?

I've been thinking abit about this, but I really don't see how a good WP7-"theme" can be made. I think a new shell-app needs to be developed more or less from the bottom up to make this work...
What's cool about wp7 is all the nice application, the panoramic backgrounds, and elements shifting independently from each other. You will also need to be able to scroll up and down on every screen.
I've been playing around with some OpenGL-development, but I'm really putting most of my time into the project noted in my signature so I don't really have the time.. I would look at different OpenGL wrappers, both unmanaged and managed to see if the different design-elements can be easily recreated, and then just go ahead and build it from the bottom....

so we must developed a new shell app with open GL?
is it possible to integrate a thème as htc sense in windows manager thème by developing a shell?
in first time, I think that the first thing to create is a design so if scroll effect and other isn't present in this plugin, we shall see when we already done this and when we are a plugin that is work with news buttons of WP7
Any one (a designer) can create all home button of WP7 and see for background? PollPixx? DeKey?

I mean, we can use programs like WisBar Advance, but it'll never be like WP7: the animations are not supported for what I remember...

Your link it's a WisBar Advance Device, I have try it, but it's not a very good integration in WiMo but a very good graphics
Link of De Wolfe is a very good work, I dont try it yet but I will try it this evening
I will see if the developer want to reuse the work of designers who will make and post here

I will try it on my hd2 and with a control button on visual studio this evening for see if it's a good format

"Just" make a Sense skin with "some" extra functionality. Hide all the tabs, make them hubs and switch between them from the home-hub/tab/whatever.

Well these are some things I dropped during the making of my theme. I think some of you will like it which is why im uploading. Some are an icon pack for the softkeys and some are standalone docks. Be sure to download the right ones you can always uninstall it by choosing the .cab again and it'll go right to the default one you had before.
