I hope HTC releases official cupcake update for HTC dream in other country (non Tmobile phone). My friend said that HTC will release a HTC dream branch for Asian. If we have this update, we can cook it easily.

maybe like other threads on xda-devs, have a "lite" version and a full version, the full having a few non-essential but "must have" apps in there? (Like Locale, i hardly use it but it's a must for some people)

The unrealistic things I would ask for would be:
An easy to use kitchen for other people to make their own ROMS without fear of breaking too much

Hey droidheads... I have moved on the the Iphone (JK I hate apple) but i did stop all work on sholes and moved on to Droid... and it's kicking my a$$.
I did what to post my last version on Sholes. This rom is based on the emu-s (credit) and Sholes beta test device... NOT THE DROID... it is very different in software...
I will not support this rom in any way.. but if you have a good question I will try to help... Just don't keep telling me the sound seems to be bad...
NO WiFi.. NO SOUND NO BT NO THIS THAT AND THE OTHER THING... cm1.4 or better recovery .. danger LPS.. and lots of free time
some google apps work.. not GTALK missing lib Market works and with paid apps (if you pay for them) and it has the nice lockscreen...

The launcher is a "similar" version to the ZenEXP, though it is similar only in functionality, but not codebase. However, that's old news, lol.
I'm referring to something else that we haven't had on Fresh, yet...

This took a lot of finessing to get working on Fresh 2.1.2. I have to get in touch with Flipz to discuss, as it is likely going to require a new dot release (2.1.3?), due to certs / signing issues.
Consider this a teaser...stay tuned.
In the meantime, I'll enjoy using it on my phone .

are you working on the news reader also? considering all the frameworks you have gone thru at this point.
Also you could release these as an update.zip concidering this is the frameworks and system based on the 2.1 official. as long as it has been deoxed.

I'm only one person! If you had any idea the time (read hours/days) it takes to do this stuff, you'd understand there's only so much I can personally tackle.
I have no idea if it is possible or not. Would assume it is. It's just not on my personal radar at this point.

Ummm, no, I didn't. Darch is a good man, but I've never run one of his ROMs, so I don't know what that is. I pulled pieces from DC, so credit to the anonymous source who got this going on Sprint based ROMs originally. I just "made" it work on Fresh as well, by figuring out what was done / needed.

Hey guys. Long time since I posted on XDA haha.
Well I just wanted to inform all of you waiting for Unleashed 3.0 that it is coming along nicely. I was able to boot AOSP, with a decent amount of bugs that I am going to work on and cvpcs is working on with his Obsidian build(we are not working together), but if he finds fixes they go into my rom and if I find them they go into his. Another thing is that this couldn't have been done without slayher's help, helping me to get the vendor setup working.
Current bugs:
Phone reboots when you lock and then press the unlock button
Alt lock does nothing
Capacitive button feedback is very weak, meaning you can barely feel it vibrating.
Ill edit when each is fixed...
Fixed bugs:
USB is WORKING - *USB is now fully working thanks to slayher. Working 100%. USB Mass Storage and USB Debugging work. Now I can run ADB logcat and try to solve some other issues.*
Sound works, in phone too. *SOUND IS WORKING 100%. Thanks Blackdroid for the idea!*
I am not going to release this yet until I fix the lockscreen reboot.

Also another thing, people will ask me how this is different from Fission. Fission is not AOSP. It is based off the sdk image released by Motorola. Fission still uses the Motorola framework, it is just a vanilla rom. This rom is a full stock AOSP rom with the stock framework(with two Motorola jar files that are needed) and the stock sliders. This has no ties with blur in any way.
For all the people who wants Quadrants, this is the highest I have gotten. I range anywhere from 1800 to 2167. I usually don't care about Quadrant scores but you all do haha.

Quick Question: The rom that your current working on, is the build older then the 3VO?
I believe using same build atm(21845), just becoming familiar with all of this, seemed like the easiest build to start with for setting up a good base kitchen/rom. As well I don't believe my provider(Telus) has ever released a 6.5 rom and I've read about the same woes I had with keypad layout and another providers software etc., so I started out by removing what I could.
I've just cleaned up the filesystem a bit more and merged the splashs from the forum, which I'll be posting asap. Not much of an update but I would say it's where I'm comfortable now starting with some actual customization/tweaks going forward.

htc ozone ROM
I have used ppckitchen for my old htc apache (xv6700) but I cannot figure out how to create any ROMs for my htc ozone. I have osKitchen Zero 1.33.5 and the HTC 6.5 update. I have imported the HTC update into the kitchen and tried to build it, but no combinations of settings work. I always get the following error: "Platformrebuilder has crashed, probably due to some unsupported module. Please try changing your packages selection and try again." Can somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have only been successful in my cooking efforts for Ozone/Snap with the EVK 1.3 thru 1.6(Thanks ookba!) kitchens. I started with Jmz Snap Kitchen(Thanks Jmztaylor!), just deleted the rom(it's for SnapS511) and started with a fresh kitchen and dump. Most of my troubles in the beginning were related to file permissions, and you may be familiar(if so I apologize) any changes you make to dump files(including just viewing them with EVK builtin editor) reset that files permissions to what they were before view/edit.

Off late most of WinMo users are shifting to android , but their are still few (me inclusive) who still want to continue with WinMo as base.
Last heard, there were some 20 odd developers were working towards bringing back GTX (refer this thread), one of the best thing to happen for WinMo useres, but as of now it seems all is lost again.
I have created this dedicated thread so that those developers can at-least keep us updated/posted towards GTX and other WinMo developments which at present is almost going towards extinction.
All i am asking XDA Family is to help me keep WinMo alive..!!

I suppose they were referring to GTX ROM their. Not sure though.

Hi adiyant, i think we have to use what we have. XDA is based on the free sharing, whatever comes is welcome but i dont see any utility to claim for something that is not happening ... so lets use the port of GTX theme for CHT2.0 done by s-droid (link referred by MrBeO) I am available there to help people to use GTX in CHT2.0. Also I offer CHTtweaks to GTX theme so if you provide graphics in png format i can help to use in CHT 2.0. The most importants files used by CHT2.0 (related to GTX) are the 7c60907d_manila -- home.mode9 & 3a8e04af_manila -- manila.mode9 and both are included in s-droid adaptation.

hey poyensa, thanks for your reply, but what i wrote is based on something which was discussed in other threads, so thought this thread will help some with some updates.
RE: the options you have given, i have already using them for a while with mixing other available stuff on XDA. And without CHTTWEAKS & CHT things for WinMo will only get worse..!!
What i was looking at is a total revamp or something entirely new which can just make WinMo exciting again.
And can' believe i'm saying that, but else i 'll also move to android which at present seems THE FUTURE for these kinda devices.

No this looked like an actual project to revamp GTX. This is all due to posts made by mike2nl. Start here and then continue reading the posts in the thread.

Me too, since he specifically alluded to the now defunct equilibriosense project. Oh well, come over to the darkside (Android) fellas, and make my device beautiful again .
I've put some GTX stuff together in CHTtweaks .....

yes mate..i was somehow relating to mike2nl said things. That's what made me more excited that at-least some people are working but its been a while that we heard about anything in that regard.

CHTtweaks has made working fun. It had made your playing horizon a bit wider..!!
